Good morning!

Thank you Steve for a fresh Thursday thread. Enjoy your day.

Safe travels Paula and enjoy what will be a joyous occasion.

Jo's radiation begins tomorrow, the 7th. Thoughts will be with her.

Rainy morning here. Not much on the schedule. May venture out to the library for a book or two to read over the weekend. Catch up laundry that I don't want to have to do this weekend.

Received a call last night from the rescue group regarding Audrey and Grace. A foster family is still not available. The decision was made that the rescue group will take the girls and board them with a veterinarian hospital on Monday.

Wishing everyone a lovely morning. BBL

Sandi said...

Good morning Judie. Thanks for the call over and thanks Steve, for the new thread.

Judie, sorry that Audrey and Grace haven't found foster homes yet. Will the rescue group keep them together?

Nail appt. for me at 10am. Rainy and dreary here.

Later!

Good morning to all ♥

Hi Judie ! Congratulations your feathers are starting to add up ♥

Thank you Steve for the fresh new thread. Soon your weekend will have started!

Thinking of a wedding this Saturday and wishing Michael and Laura happiness for many many years in their future.

I hope that Audrey and Grace are kept together and adopted together.

Not raining at the moment but skies are gray and everything is wet.

Kay said...

Good Morning Eagle Buds and much thanks to STEVE for the new thread and to the fine feathered JUDIE for "unlocking the door" !!!

JUDIE, I'm so glad the rescue group has come up with a good plan for the kitties. You've given them a good home, but it's high time they moved on.☺

GG and the entire Wright family are in my prayers---good decisions are their trademark !

JO, praying for you, too. Kicking off the anniversary weekend with radiation therapy isn't exactly the desired celebration. However, we thank God for modern technology and it's benefits !

PAULA, safe travel and happy wishes to you and the wedding couple. Hope NJ weather is delightful--

---and I hope it stays that way for I'm headed there for Thanksgiving with son and family. From the 22nd to the 29th and with wheelchair assistance on each end of the trip.

SANDI, I know you're enjoying another day off ! You need lots of "mental health" days with the load you carry for those special needs kids. And, in order to cope with some of the staff members !!

It's doggy play day here, so I'm off to pick Malcolm up. It's raining so we'll have to do a lot of indoor ball chasing and Lori's Tug pulling !

Love and prayers for all !!!

Hi JUDY, enjoy your day off as you "out and about" or as HODA might say your "oot and aboot"!

Kay said...

LYNNE1, this dreary rain is very widespread---OH, PA, MD and I just heard from MI with the same report. Guess it's good for our thirsty soil, but it sure dampens the spirit when we must be Oot and Aboot!

grannyblt said...

That was my delete. Meant to do another post to check box. That is what happens when you are in a hurry.

Hope Glo is bear watching today.

BBL. off to meeting.

grannyblt said...

Oh Kay, you are a Canada girl today. Lol

Mema Jo said...

Sandi I am scheduled for tomorrow, Fri the 7th to start radiation. It is usually an 1 1/2 hr appointment.
That includes checking in and checking out - Cyberknife is about 45 min.
Then the following week I go in Mon thru Thurs - I may not need all those days but I'm on their schedule.

Lynne2 said...

Hello Blog, it's ME....

Bright and sunny here today! Of course, the clouds, drizzle and fog are hiding it...LOL!

Lynne2 said...

Juncos are back as of last Saturday and the White Throated Sparrows are here, I hear them calling, but not to the feeders yet! Winter's a-comin'!

Have to run to work, will try to check in as I can!

Mema Jo said...

Hi,

Really black, ominous clouds came in this afternoon. Ran into some pouring rain, but, fortunately, it did not last too long. Just normal rain now. I cut my errands short and got to the school to pick up Hunter. Not eager to be out in a storm.

Interesting--every day when I pick him up, I notice that he is talking to a cute little red-headed girl.

stronghunter said...

Was wondering who in the heck "lo" was, Jo. I will have to check out the link.

Saw my first Christmas decorations today. Someone has candy canes all along the driveway and lights near the house.

JudyEddy said...

the buggies are with the bears now I wonder if Glo is there now on one of the three

Lolly said...

Thought I best hop in and say hi and bye! We leave shortly for football. Two hour trip...one way! Laurel and Joey are not going as it is too far after school. Glad we can go and be there for Joseph!

Judie sorry it has taken so long for the kitties!

Jack came home earlier, carrying in a box. The door into the garage got stuck open. Found it and just knew Skippi was out! Scared me! But, she was still in the garage sniffing and in an inquisitive pose! Easily picked up and back inside. Yea!

Paula, have a wonderful weekend! Will be thinking of you. I always get amused. Paula has two sons, John and Michael. I have one, John Michael. 😄. Now, her Michael is marrying Laura. My two children are Michael and Laurel.😀

Rain is not dreary!!! Cloudy, rainy days are a blessing! Put on a raincoat, put up an umbrella and smile! That's what we did this week!😍

Okay, gotta do a few things before heading out! Back to say goodnight late!

stronghunter said...

I saw the polar bear and the Tundra Buggy with people on it.

stronghunter said...

I've seen juncos here, too, Lynne2.

Hoping everything works out well for the kitties, Judie.

JudyEddy said...

SHIRLEY do we know what time GLO is going on the buggies I wonder if that could be her group I snipped a couple of pic s

stronghunter said...

Just heard a strange sound coming from the laptop. At first, I was worried that something was wrong with the computer, but I am sure it is the Tundra Buggy. Polar bear is looking at the Tundra Buggy with interest.

stronghunter said...

I don't know, Judy. I thought the post said she was going tomorrow, but I do not know when that message was sent.

stronghunter said...

She said something about a blizzard warning. I see snow on the ground, but it is not snowing now.

Good evening to all.

The time has come to share some information with you.

In addition to the sadness of the departure of Audrey and Grace in the next few days, I am scheduled for a coronary catherization tomorrow morning. The procedure may involve the placement of a stent)s). I may be home late tomorrow or sometime Saturday. The lack of oxygen to my heart may explain the fatigue of recent months. This has been a difficult week - many tests and medical appointments and visits with Dracula.

My request is that you please keep your prayers and positive thoughts on Jo and her radiation treatment tomorrow and with Michael for a successful trip to Haiti.

Sandperson will be on autopilot and Jufie, well, Jufie will be Jufie.

I'll return when I can with an update.

Love and hugs to all♥

Margy, good to "see" you! I'll be keeping and eye/ear out for those Tundra Swans! Would be cool to get another sighting this year!

Lynne2 said...

JUDIE....prayers for you procedure tomorrow. Hope we can get an update from you soon after.

Lynne2 said...

Jo, keep an eye out for Pine Siskins and purple finches as well! Many spottings in the area! Hope Mr. Red comes home.

Kay, I surely do hope the weather holds for your Thanksgiving Travels.

Hoda, sad about the cougar attacks on those dogs. They are BAD UNITS. On my reality show that I watch, Mountain Men, one of the guys has a team of hound dogs who hunt and chase off the big cats for ranchers and such. Very dangerous work.

HEY...bet Glo will see some GLOwing Auroras!

stronghunter said...

How sad, Lynne2. Val will take awhile to recover from that experience.

Also sad about the cougar attacks on those poor dogs.

Yes, hoping that Mr. Red returns to Jo's abode.

No intent to shock anyone. I believed, and still do, that Jo's chemo and radiation are a much higher priority for prayers and positive thoughts. My condition is far easier to fix.

On the bright side, an email was sent at 11:30 saying that a foster home has been located for Audrey and Grace.

I will return as soon as I can. Hugs!

Good morning! Family first! That's our motto! When Michael played college football he played for Trinity U. In San Antonio. We went to all home games. One year he had four home games in a row. That is a 4 hour drive down there! We went! Believe in supporting the kids in all their endeavors. My two felt the love and now just passing it on to our grand babies. Joseph gave us an awesome smile after the game and walked over to talk to us. Worth it's weight in gold!

When Laurel played volleyball we were at all games. When she ran track we were at all track meets, not in the stands but on the field when allowed! Could not believe the parents who were not there. Other girls called us mom and dad at track meets! 😄

Time to get busy. Prayers for Judie and Jo!

Good evening to everyone.

Home again and in serious need of sleep. The procedure went well. Had to stay flat for four hours to allow the artery to seal itself. Left groin is pist having been cut open.

Given my age and genetic history, my heart is in good condition. No stent was implanted. There are no seriously narrowed areas.

Will add two new medications to help with getting oxygen to my heart: Isosorbide Monomitrate and Toprol-XL. So, we shall see how those work.

Long post. Sorry. Am going to put some food on plates for dinner then headed for the bed. Will try to catch up later.

Thank you for your positive thoughts, prayers, and friendships. Momsters rock!

Jo, a special day? Me? No plans. It's just me so the only thing I do is make sure nothing expires like my driver's license!

Turkey day? Same thing. My daughter and her husband work in retail so will not be seeing them. I eat a very restrictive low carb diet so it's better not to see, smell or taste tempting foods! LOL

Good Saturday morning my eagle friends! Chilly here this AM - right at 32 degrees here close to the ocean, 28 degrees inland.

Happy 56th anniversary to Jo and Ed! Jo, glad that yesterday was easy for you = prayers continue that the radiation zaps all those cancer cells.

Judie, good to hear that the procedure went well yesterday and you are stent-less! Hope the new meds give you the energy you've lost.

Paula, Happy wedding day - congrats!! Enjoy every minute of being mother of the groom!

Janet, how is Livvy liking being home schooled? I suspect she likes the learning part of it - does she miss seeing friends every day and eating in the cafeteria and school dances, stuff like that?

♪♫ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO JO AND MR JO (ED) ♪♫ The day is beauteous as is your life together and the family you two created. Congratulations!

How special to have Paula's Michael begin his marriage on Jo and Ed's anniversary date. May they enjoy an equally wonderful life together.

Don't mind looking at others (Glo) in a buggy watching polar bears but not sure I would want to be that up close and personal. Just bet she's having the time of her life.

Think I will shower away all the hospital stuff. Oh, the disinfectant used on the area to cut is turquoise blue not the old iodine orange. lol Can remove the bandage, etc.

Wishing Glo a continued great Polar Bear expedition and Jo and great anniversary day and wishing everyone else a glorious autumn day.

good afternoon to all. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MR> AND MRS> JO!!!

Glad JUDIE and JO seem to be doing well. hoping MICHAEL has a safe flight, safe visit, and returns quickly!

Yesterday got crazy as soon as I got home. Saw my neighbor heading down the hill as I drove up....saw a white work truck in front of my house. We had a 2 and 1/2 inch water main burst! Water was running swiftly down my driveway .... It was about 4:30 when the crew got here and started digging. They got the thing fixed and road patched in about 3 hours. It is directly in front of my mail box.

Water got in our basement too. Been sucking that up. :(

So last night, we had some entertainment.

Up and at 'em this morning. Home school...clean house, bathe dogs, trim nails, etc etc etc.

SANDI: Livvy is happy she is home schooled, in that we can take our time and she can learn what she needs to learn. We can use as many methods as necessary to help her to understand a thing. But she does miss her friends. She was never interested in going to dances and such, and they really didn't have those at her school anyway.

We are going to a home school event again on Monday. I am encouraging her to be friendly! Say hi. She is also invited to participate in face book page specifically for homeschoolers, those with whom we associate. I told her she has to make an effort to meet people, just like in school.

And again, the thing is, she would have been completely changing schools next year. Most of the kids that were in Lead were inner city kids bussed over here and likely will be going to Lead High or a different school. We had planned to let her go to her zoned school, Hillwood. It is unlikely she would have known many if any one there.

After the first of the year, it is my plan to start her into hooping classes. I hope it goes better than ice skating, in that, she tries to make friends. This is the problem ... she refuses to be friendly or try to talk with people. She is very introverted in this way....and always has been.

Anyway, grand kids will be here shortly. Chel and Chris are goingto the Vandy/Florida game. Mia is spending the night.

Just taking a break from stuff for the moment.

Love and hugs to all!

Janet said...

and yes, btw, I have TRIED to get friends to come over here, or meet her at the mall, etc, but there is a problem, its a racial problem. We are not in the same ethnic back ground as her friends. She was one of two Caucasian children in her grade.

Lolly said...

I would give anything to be on the "balcony" of a tundra buggie!

I hauled smaller plants to the green house. Tomorrow Jack and I will get the larger ones. Will have to leave some ferns to freeze! Need a larger greenhouse! Lol

Good evening all. I had great plans to be super productive today. Sometimes the best laid plans ...

I did get the Final Report for Mom's Estate completed. It's in the envelope and ready to mail to the Register of Wills Office on 11/17 - the earliest I can file it is 11/16.

I also have the check ready to mail to my brother for his third of the money in Mom's estate account. I'll give my sister her share when we see her for Thanksgiving. My share will be split between my 2 boys - will give Brian a check and will invest Kevin's money until he needs it.

I'm hanging onto a little of the money in case there are unexpected expenses and in case I have to file income taxes for Mom for the 2 1/2 months that she lived in 2014. I am ready for this whole personal representative thing to be over.

Paula has posted a photo of Michael and Laura on Facebook - I'm sure more will be coming.

I'm guessing Jo's Michael is in the air and headed to Haiti. Safe travels, Michael!

Janet, explain hooping please. Will Livvy continue with ice skating this year? She certainly seemed to enjoy it and made so much progress last year.

Judie, glad you are feeling OK today.

Hoda, have you started using your "sunlight lamp?" I am really feeling the decrease in sunlight already this fall.

Time to fix food for people and pets. Prayers continue for all the needs on the blog.

Later!

Hi, Everyone,
Thought I'd better check in before you all start wondering if I fell off the face of the earth!

Ken teases his sister all the time about the fact that she can't sit still for a minute, and he likes to sit and watch the grass grow, but I think he actually did get the "antsy" gene. We have been all over from pillar to post in the last week!
We actually DID make time to vote, and turned in our absentee ballots.

I especially want to wish a
HAPPY, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jo and Ed!! Hope your day is a really special one!!

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes for me!! They certainly helped to make my day the best Birthday yet! I love all of you!
Nov. 1st was also my Bro-in-law's birthday! (Golly, what are the odds of that?!) Sent him a Happy Birthday text, since he and Sis-in-law were (and still are) in France. They come home tomorrow.
Heard from SIL that her personal cell phone was stolen at the Louvre Museum! Guess there was a pickpocket working the crowd!

Very happy to hear from Paula and Margy here! Glad all's well with Larry & Nick, AND with Margy!

Prayers continue for Jo, and for Judie. Judie, I bet you felt cold because of the catheterization. When Ken has had one because of his pacemaker, he's gotten chilled because it's such an invasive procedure. It goes away before long. Glad you didn't need a stent, and hope the new meds help restore your get-up-and-go!

Wanda, prayers continue for you, for GG, and for your family. Glad to hear of some improvement in GG's condition, and hope that is a continuing trend!

Well, all is well in this roost. It's been HOT here again the last couple of days, but supposed to be back to normal temps on Monday.

Shirley, I'm so glad to hear that there's some communication going on between Hunter and Anthony! That's wonderful!

The last few days my pollen allergies have kicked in with a vengeance, and my sinuses feel like a huge bucket of snot! Prescription nose spray is starting to take effect, so finally feeling somewhat better!

Well, need to go figure out what we're having for dinner tonight besides rotisserie chicken. I'm still getting hungry at the wrong time, like Emma, after the time change. Hope I get adjusted soon.

Hope all of you are having a nice evening! Have SED tonight. I probably won't make it back here after dinner, so will say God bless and goodnight now. I ♥ us!!

Hi,

Just got home a bit ago. Managed to burn the leftover shrimp I was going to dine on tonight, so I had a peanut butter and jelly, which was really okay.

Bought a new comforter for my bed and a few other things. Practiced bowling earlier. Bowling lesson we'd planned on fell through. Misunderstanding about the time we had set for the lesson. I plan to try again. I can use all of the help I can get.

There was a senior bowling tournament today, and some people seemed to think we should participate. I guess we will think about it next time. I have never been in a bowling tournament.

SANDI: hooping. as in hula hooping classes. it is something she wants to do.

She quit ice skating.

(exasperated sigh).

I felt last year she was loosing interest and so I thought okay, well the rink will be closed from march til august. maybe she'll miss it and want to go back. no dice. she said she did not want to skate. so I asked her to think about it over night before I let polly (coach) know..and nope, she wanted to stop.

I agree, she did well with it and had promise, but only if she wanted to do it. can't force her.

so hooping it is. but after 1st of the year.

quiet here at the moment. everyone has been fed. we watched wreck it ralph with the kids, now they are watching a dvd and all is quiet.

Andy, good to see you stopped by to chat. Hugs to Emma.

Janet, so sorry Olivia decided to stop skating but "hooping" is also good exercise.

Wonder if Jo and Mr. Jo had peanut butter pie?

I did get a nap in this afternoon but still feeling a bit tired. Sort of like doing exercises and the real discomfort sets in a day later. Tired and sore and very bruised. Prepared dinner but would have enjoyed a PB&J sandwich as Shirley did.

Sandperson has agreed to fill a large satchel and depart at 11pm. Jufie is going to take care of the pecans the wind blew off Lolly's trees. The night light will be on a 11pm.

Shirley, you should see the amount of milk Laurel goes through! When Joseph is thirsty he guzzles milk. He usually drinks two large glasses at every meal plus all that he drinks when thirsty. Jacob drinks a large glass with meals, but not between meals.

No dinner tonight, our thanksgiving lunch meal took care of that!

Dentist tomorrow afternoon. Just a cleaning ad check up, no problem.

All plants are in the greenhouse, some ferns will freeze and we will buy more next year. Need a bigger green house. One plant goes in the garage, but it seems to do well enough!

Going to talk Jack into putting up the Christmas tree next week. Then we leave for Colorado and we will decorate it when we return. Thinking that haviing it up a while without decorations might (MIGHT) help with Skippi. LOL
