Wow, something had Shep upset. I think I had dozed off and was dreaming of birds crying out then realized it was our eagles. I hear other calls too, maybe belle and another.

I don't know how many saw it but the same kind of thing happened about 5 am nest time this morning. They woke me up. By the time I got to cam though Belle sitting alert but quiet.

I am off to back outside. It is 82, sun shiney, and breezy. Pleasant working in the light shade. Will have shade once the trees get their leaves. Redbuds in almost full bloom. Carolina Jasmine in full bloom.

Yes JO!!! With all the fuss I thought of LIBERTY too and then this hatch arrived on the 16th and Paddy had arrived on the 17th...thoughts thoughts thoughts...No Drama and no repeats please. I do understand about the chick able to survive for days without a fish but will breathe a sigh of relief when food is brought in...

Did manage to go to Wegman's earlier today. Things were a-hopping there. Got me the makings for a corned beef dinner. All of the fixings together in one package.

I just got home from walking from work 40 min to walk a little over 2 miles I think 2 1/4
Truck is at Ford till Mon they aren't open on Sun any longer Had it towed up there from work so I didn't have to miss any work It started this am and also when the guy picked it up but didn't want to risk breakind down on the way to take the truck up there and they have no courtesy ride on Sat as if peeps don't work on the weeknd OH well They will pick me up on Mon when it is ready that is good

SANDI so happy you are using my multi browser open Can hear so much better But the odd this is you might want to check yours too when you open more that one they are all different in time I have to watch to see which one is quicker I have two that are slightly delayed just a sec or so so funny on one belle will turn her head and just a split second the other cams do it on right behind the other so watch yours and pick the fastest one like I did

Right after the hatch, I was putting a load of clothes in the washer and heard a loud noise in the kitchen. There was a puff of black smoke coming from under the refrigerator. I think the compressor blew. So I have been at the local Sears appliance store purchasing a new refrigerator. My goodness they are expensive these days. I wanted one with a bottom freezer, but what they had wouldn't fit in my space. I just didn't want to drive all over creation to find a better deal, so settled on a side by side that will work in my space. Let's see, a new car in Sept, a new water heater in November, and now this. All of those thing were necessary purchases.......Oh, well. back to nest watching

Can you go to Glo's video on FB, the first one on her page at the moment from 6:48pm, and see if you can ID the bird making the short single calls in the backgroud? You can hear it pretty clearly.

JUDYE it is funny because I think the chirps I hear now are so different from the peeps that were happening last night. I smiled at your comment because you all were sure we were hearing the eaglette and I was sure we were not!!! Now I think we were not in comparison!!! LOL!!!

They won't know what is wrong till Mon not open for service on Sun anylonger so I just have to hope its somethng simple and not the fuel pump of injectors hope its something simple It did start right up Someone said I could have had air in the line or a bubble that prevented fuel getting to it that is what it sounded like that said like it was starving for fuel the battery seemed ok Bright lights and it did crank over but would not stay started we will see mon
I hope the luck changes, but at least I am all right. My birding friend and I are going to Dunkirk, NY tomorrow come what may--the only day forecast for no prec for a stretch. We hope all of the ducks haven't moved on to Canada.

GRANNYBLT I hear you on the big cost of all the appliances. I like your attitude though in terms of them being essential expenditures...I always get a bit nervous when I have to put out money for such appliances all at once. My speed is about a blender...this I count for an appliance LOL!!!

I'm not good at bird calls, but I know a couple--one of them the RWBB.I don't know a bluebird--I only see them out in the country. I 've only seen one in town in the 6 years I've been here. Believe me, when I go birding, my guide book is hot in hand......
You all need my jubby. He is amazing at keeping appliances running, He just plows in to repairs like he knows what he is doing. Washer and dryers are pretty simple for him. We have been married for close to 48 years. In that time I am still on my second refrig and second washer and dryer.

yes you get one email for each comment I read it that way and can be in the other room and then come back to read them with out reresh there are a few of us that do that and makes it easier to keep up I think other wise I forget where I am on the blog I get lost tooo easy
Hoda, don't even mention blenders. The one I use is about 30 years old. And I would have a hard time making my fruit-yogurt smoothies for breakfast. I actually thought it woud be the next thing to go, but I guess the superstition is to not talk badly about appliances because they can hear LOL

I had suspected the cams could be at different speeds, Today I noticed someone saying Shep was in the nest but he wasn't and then a few seconds later he landed.
Lydia, do you have a gmail account? I do and it groups 60 emails together all in a continuous string so I can read them that way. When I get to the bottom of the 60, I just hit delete and then I can read the next 60 - not sure why it goes by 60s. Like Judy, I hate having to refresh the blog page all the time to read the most recent comments.
I too am amazed at those on the blog who can ID birds by their calls. I can only recognize a few.

Good evening all. Just wanted to check in. I've been watching Cam off-and-on since Wednesday AM. Last night around 6 I was watching not sure who was on nest but htere was a great deal of activity..up and down...moving eggs...it was hard to see in the early darkness. b ut it settled down eventually. Of course I fell asleep early. Looks like I missed the first hatch. Been watching about an hour this evening. Haven't followed the Blog real close. I see the name Hedgie and I think that is a super name. Not sure I get a vote...but I would also vote for Lynnie. I'll leave the important stuff to you all. Enjoy your weekend. I think it's calling for some snow tomorrow not sure how much. Hopefully that won't cause any problems. Take care all.

I have Gmail too and it's great for things like this! In fact, I love Gmail. I rarely get any junk mail and what I do get goes into spam. It was different to get used to though. It does group things into one "conversation" which comes in handy.

PAULA I have the weather channel ap in my tray on the bottom of my screen I put the zip codes in for my favorite places and at one glance you can get current and weather up to a week I love it It came with one of the thinks I downloaded got rid of but kept it I had a tool bar with a radio that is what it came with I loved the radio for local police but only gave Tampa not my area so got rid of it also
I love it also flashing when there is weather warning
Gonna settle for a bowl of cereral can't figure out what to order to have delived not in mood for pizza odd been awhile since I had it
