Sharon, social media played an important roll in getting that surgery approved. Yea!!!! He is just so precious...loved the picture. Let us know the hour of his surgery so we can be in prayer.

32 degrees for several hours this morning. Now have plants to pull up and discard. Winter is here. Cozy though in my little greenhouse. Wish I had a wee bit bigger one!

We will. He will be completely sedated for about 20 days while they do something to stimulate the growth of his esophagus. I am not sure exactly what the process will be but this is going to be a very long process. They will be in Boston for about 4 months.

Bev-WOW 4 months in Boston? That is going to have a huge impact on their family isn't it. We prayed at noon for him!

Home for the day because Andrew texted me that Boomer would not eat lunch. Well that of course means there is something stuck in his belly. I hope it's in his stomach and not in the intestine again. Don't want to cut him open again. He needs a zipper!
He threw up a sock this morning so I thought we were good to go. He will be on 24 hour watch. Not taking him to the vet yet. Did talk to her on the phone. Searched the house and CANNOT find anything that he could have gotten into. Not even sure where he got the sock. He is so sly!!!! He is going to cause me to go broke. I'll never be able to retire.

Hoda said...

I have only read this thread and surmise that BABY ISAAC got hisoperation approved...YAY... he should have never been taken off of the approval list to begin with!!! Way to go SHARON and BEV and MATTIE what a terrific letter she wrote...

LOLLY got the feather...YAY.

Well I have always liked a group in town called Eco Society. They are a group of volunteers who work on the environment and sustainable resources. They are a young group of people. The average age is 25 and I wanted to support them. Today I went to their office and was very well received and I promised to volunteer three days a month with them over the winter. They right away put me to work on their Christmas Fair and also on compiling information for their web page. They are considerate and with energy and full of wonderful ideas and compassion and I am glad to work across the generations and learn from the young...

I had a good walk with a friend and then errands and a cup of tea and generally I feel very happy with our dreary day...several of us did Sun Salutaions, yoga poses, but the sun does not want to come out...I like my bright coat...the orange one...people see me from a long distance and they stop and talk. At night time it has reflectors and cars stop when I am trying to cross the road...it gets dark so much earlier now...by 4:30 PM...

I will go read back...THANKS JUDIE I SLEPT VERY WELL last night too!!! YAY Sandman!!!

OUT DAMN SPOT

OUT DAMN SPOT

OUT DAMN SPOT

Good mantra to hold for anyone who is dealing with this disease. Thinking of JO and DANA'S father in particular.

I am confused. Is it GLO'S Mother who fell or her MIL...I think it is her mother but I keep seeing posts with MIL...does anyone know for sure? GLO would you clear the confusion for me please???

glo said...

It is my MIL. She is very much in the roll of Mom to me. In fact I am the only one left who calls her Mom as she lost both of her children "one being my husband" within 6 months of each other to that cancer thing :-(. I have always posted her both on here and Facebook as my MIL whom I do call Mom. Thanks for your prayers once again. Today seems to be much better than yesterday for her actually. It is nice to know she understands who is calling or visiting.

Sandi said...

Afternoon all!

Sharon, wonderful news about little Isaac!!

Dana, so sorry about Boomer's latest bout of dietary indiscretion! I hope everything "comes out" OK one way or the other, without the need for surgery!

Hoda, it's Glo's mother-in-law who is now in hospice - she refers to her as "Mom" (with the quotation marks) on FB.

Very little rain, no scary high tides, all is well in Bethany! But it sure is cold and damp out there! Insulation is in on one side of the workshop and Dennis got everything from the other side of the room moved over so he can paint the other half of the floor and do the rest of the insulation tomorrow. Progress! =)

Hi all! Ended up working in the yard today. Pulling up plants that bit the dust with the freeze last night. A lot of plants survived, but it wont be long before they go too.

Just talked with Laurel. Joseph has been waking up with coughing and with breathing problems. He stayed home today and Joey took him to the doctor. Well, his problem has been identified as asthma. They have never called it that before. He is now on a nose spray he uses every day and he has an enhaler. Lovely...just lovely. :( Several times last winter playing basketball, he had a problem breathing. Laurel would just talk with him and calm him down. We always knew when he had a problem as he would put both hands on his head as that helped him breath. Doctor has always said croup, but obviously has changed his mind. Great doctor, so we do not fault him for not calling it sooner.

Lolly said...

Have you all heard anything on the news about Texas petitioning to leave the union? LOL Well, we are moving else where if that happens. So ridiculous! Anyway, went to take my flag down we put out for Veterans Day, but decided to leave it up!!! Some people, my brother included, are just so dumb, for lack of a better word!!!

Lori O. said...

LOLLY, Texas is not the only state trying to leave the Union, but I guess the biggest so it's getting all the attention because they've also gathered so many signatures, that it can't be ignored by the government! You're welcome in Maryland!!!

Hooray for Baby Isaac! Keep us posted. Glad it ended with the surgery approved!

HODA, you should post a pic of you in your bright orange coat! It's a good color for you! Great that you joined the group of youngsters - they're going to love having you around!!! ♥

Lolly said...

Have an appointment to get my crown on my tooth tomorrow. Called today as I had not heard from them. It has been two weeks and was told it would be one week. 5 and a half weeks since this all started. I called them and told them I did not want the same man sticking his hands in my mouth!!! Anyway, I now have an appointment with the head/owner Dentist! I also have a name of a new dentist. No longer going back there...and will let them know just that!!! Grrrrr!

Hoda said...

LOLLY LOLLY LOLLY!!! Don't let them know Before they put the crown in...you can write them a letter after you leave!!! LOL!!!

Could Joseph be alergic to milk? It gives me allergy symptoms... hence no dairy for me.

Thank you GLO and SANDI...I appreciate it and God Bless MOM/MIL

Thanks LORI I had it on here for a while, actually it is still my avatar...

Just went to the web site of the new dentist I will go to next time. Very impressed! Wish I was going there tomorrow.

LOL Hoda! We shall see how the conversation develops between me and the head honcho of the dental clinic. I do feel this is the last time I will step in there. Sad, in that I do like the office staff and my hygienist, though she is rather simple and talks the whole time. They will be loosing two patients as I am sure Jack will change too. He has had problems there, too. When he had an infection they sent him to
Fort Worth.?????

Had a delicious dinner tonight. Jack "smoked" all day....brats, ribs, and brisket. Meal was fabulous with beans and potatoes and we have two more meals now in the freezer.

Margy, how neat that you got to dine with Wanda and Gene. Guess you had leftover Thanksgiving dinner. Jealous!

Lolly said...

No, do not think it is the pets or milk that Joseph is allergic. I think it must be seasonal pollen as it comes and goes. He has had the dogs and cats since he was born. He had no problem all summer and it has just recently flared up. Besides....I would not want to be the one to take the cats or dogs away from him. And, as for the milk....the boy drinks about a gallon a day. He loves milk. When he wants a snack he just might go pour a big glass of milk. They go through 4 gallons a week and Jacob is not much of a milk drinker.

Lolly said...

Awwww....Jack is going to build a fire. Cool!!!

Think I am going to put my nose in my kindle for as while.

Hi, Everyone,
Just realized that my last post is stuck on the last thread. Better bring it over:

Good Morning, Everyone!

I fell asleep watching DWTS last night, so didn't make it back here.
Sorry about that!

JudyE, so sorry to hear that Amy's mom passed away! Prayers for Amy, for the whole family, and for you!
Yes, cancer definitely sucks!!!

Shar, thank GOD that Baby Isaac will be having surgery, on schedule!

I'm wondering if the Weather app
in my phone is correct--it's only 48 here right now, but it says it will get up to 82 here! Don't know quite how to dress, except in layers, for sure.

Count me in on the prayer circle for Jo! Out, damned spot!!

Well, gotta go feed Emma, and finish up my work for the doctor.
Will be back to check in later.
HAGD, everyone!
I ♥ us!!!

Well, I got all my work done and sent back to the doctor--Phew!

DanaMo, so sorry to hear that Boomer has managed to find something inappropriate to eat!! Sure hope he feels better soon, and doesn't have to go to the vet!
I know what you're going through, because Emma often manages to get hold of something that's not good for her, too. Can't tell you how often I have to pry something out of her mouth! She is something else--and if there is one microscopic thing anywhere that would be trouble for her, she'll find it! Then she runs like the wind so you can't catch her!
Sound familiar? Prayers for Boomer!

Margy, sounds like you had a wonderful dinner with Wanda & Gene!
Yum!!

Shar, that sure does sound like quite a process Baby Isaac will be going through! Amazing. Count me in on the prayer circle for him!

Glo, I'm so glad that your MIL is doing better today! Hope she surprises everyone and continues to improve. She sounds like quite a fighter!

Lolly, I hope you have a good visit with the dentist. Good ones are so hard to find! I know just how you feel. Hope that Joseph's doctor can get a handle on the asthma, and he will feel better soon! Sorry you had to pull up a bunch of your plants! Guess winter is really here in Texas!

Well, I need to go do something other than be on the computer, I guess. My eyes are refusing to focus correctly! Spent much of the day doing transcription. Think I'll go watch TV for a while.
Just in case I fall asleep there,
let me say goodnight now. Hope everyone has sweet dreams, and restful slumber! The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. God bless, and goodnight. I love all of you!

Christine did add a Caring Bridge update.

Everyone sounds as though their day went well. Life is good! Prayers for everyone's troubles and worries.

JUDYE I just got in and read your post and have not read back. Google has the Canada Arm. This is our contribution to space explorations. We built it and NASA used it to conduct all the outside repairs and experiments on the space shuttles. For years we always felt a great deal of pride whenever we saw it used with the NASA flights.SRMS Shuttle Manipulator System and it was launched in 2001. It is an advanced system to the original Canada Arm which was launched 31 years ago today.

Good Wednesday morning Lori and all my eagle friends!! Chilly this morning taking Bella out!!

Mom's doctor said her foot is healing fine; another week and the stitches come out and she can drive.

Work continues on our ground floor today - should take about a week I guess before everything is back in place.

Lolly, with almost 50% of the population not voting for Obama, obviously there are unhappy people. But I agree that this mentality of, "If things don't go my way, I'll take my bat and ball and go home" (or in this case, I'll secede from the US), is ridiculous!

Prayers continue for Michael, Joe, Dana's dad, Thelma's brother-in-law, Glo's Mom-in-law, and baby Isaac!

Make it a great day!

Good morning eagle buds! Wanda just reminded me of how much I love us over on FB. Thank so much for all the prayers for Isaac. This little boy is surely blessed but he has a long, long road in front of him. Here is the link for the surgery he is having. http://www.childrenshospital.org/clinicalservices/Site2807/mainpageS2807P29.html

I don't know how to do that fancy thing y'all do with links but you can copy and paste it to get there. Hope everyone is okay. Will check back in later!

There is just nothing like the power of eaglet momster prayer, is there? Just nothing like it!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Isaac's surgery is scheduled to begin on Friday at 8 a.m.

Janet said...

good mid week morning ya'll.

So many things going on here today.

so glad the surgery was approved for the baby. i really dislike the insurance debacle that goes on......grrrrrr

and yes, HODA< actually, have any of you ever read the book TRANSPERSONAL MEDICINE? it is aquite a good book and it talks about visualizations, etc to assist with healing the body and the mind. and if that Shakespeare quote helps to remove it, if it means something to you absolutely!!!! and so I join you all in the chant: out, out damned spot!!!

and yes, there is a petition here in TN for TN to secede from the United States. Dumb. Just dumb. Whatever your political leanings, that is just dumb.

my 8 a.m. client canceled for today. his daughter is ill and he needs to take her to the dr. life happens in my motto, so these things do not upset me. i am going over to my daughter's to give her a massage. she has never asked directly, but being 8+ months preg, her back is hurting. she was asking about a pal of mine doing prenatals, and i said i can come over...so i will do that.

i just don't give prenatals as massage envy.

i finished painting my kitchen yesterday!!!!! :) i wanted it done prior to thanksgiving (btw, that is NEXT WEEK people!) and so it is. i do have a few touch ups to do. i would LOVE to get the living room done, but i think, given my schedule, that is likely not to happen prior to thanksgiving....but that's okay. i can live with it.

i have the paint so i will work on that after....

well i need to get busy. have a super day all. light, love and hugs to all, human and furry....

Janet said...

Just checked out the surgery. So then is it my understanding that he has already had the espogeal stretching? Or is that yet to be done? Then the actual reattachment?

Will be sending light and love to all involved...

and Thanks JUDYE: for posting the Mt. Washington pix....so beautiful Wouldn't it be awesome to see such in person.

Gotta scoot now...hugs to all!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Mema Jo, so glad you know you have a plan. Out damn spot for sure!!! Love you all!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

He has not had anything yet. The process begins Friday. It will take 20 to 25 days or more and he will be sedated and intubated the whole time. That is the scariest part of all I believe. They will be in Boston around 4 months, give or take. The Riffe family is huge but we don't have anyone up there, which is a shame. Another niece has a college friend that lives there so at least there is one person to turn to in case of dire emergency, which we do not expect of course!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Nicole will be there the whole time but Chuck has to come back home next Friday (after Thanksgiving) to work. I think several family members are planning to take turns trying to go up when possible, but she is gonna be alone alot of the time up there during this process. So she needs all the prayers we can send her, they all do. They have a little boy at home that will be 4 in December. He is staying in South Carolina with Nicole's mom and dad.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I wanted to let you all know, my email address is bevriffe@comcast.net. The old Frontier address is not valid any longer. The main one I use is the Comcast one.

glo said...

Good morning everyone. Yesterday was an up and downhill kind of day for my MIL. I was glad for the clear moments when she knew folks were talking to her and sharing their love. It did not end well though and she is failing. My guess is we have hours or perhaps days. I don't think we get to have Mom too much longer. Every time the phone rings now my stomach is in a knot. There is a newborn at the shelter again though and I will be off to take some photos. There is also another lady due between now and Thanksgiving who has a 2 yr old whom she has never had a photo of other than cell phone so I will do big brother today while I am there and Little sister when she arrives. I am Thankful for something like this to do today. HAGD everyone. Prayers continue for all.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

I just talked to Nicole and Isaac has to have an esophagram this afternoon to assess the gap between his stomach and esophagus. Our prayer is that the gap has gotten smaller. The smaller the gap, the less the amount of stretching (or growing), and the sooner this process can be done. So, if you are the praying kind, the need today is that this gap is smaller. This is what we are hoping for today. We will take each day as it comes and pray.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Prayers for Isaac for sure! The information on the problem and the corrective procedure is very interesting. Prayers for the whole family during this 4 month period. Over the holidays and their son's 4th birthday. That stinks!

Yes, the idea of a petition to secede and to sign it is just plain stupid ignorance!! The US elected a president and now they want to throw a fit. Good grief! Let's work TOGETHER!!!!

Enough of that!!!

Really dreading my dental appointment today and will be so glad to get this whole thing behind me.

Wishing Jo a great visit with Michael today!

Heading to the grocery store...time to buy a turkey and start thinking about cooking!!! Yea!

Lolly said...

Something interesting...since we returned from out trip we have not had many birds in our yard. Where did they go? The bird feeder was not even empty when we returned and the suet had molded. Well this morning we had birds, the usual chikadees and titmouse, doves, and one cardinal.

Lolly said...

Also, Jack and I had a treat last night. Annie joined us when we went to bed. Our bed is very high and she finds it hard to get up there. Last night she went to the cedar chest a few feet away and jumped to our bed. She is not a jumper and this is what she used to do. So happy she felt good enough to take the leap!!! She walked back and forth between us purring loudly before settling down for a little while beside my head. This is what she used to do and we were thrilled. lol

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Very good Lolly!! Good luck with the dentist. I despise going there!!

Mema Jo said...

Good Afternoon - The visit with Michael was very good. He was in therapy and we got to sit with him. They were working on his reasoning skills. He did well - sometimes very laborious until he got the answer.
Then we were able to visit in his room for an hour before his lunch came. Looked pretty darn appetizing. He can now use a straw. One discouraging thing was that the feeding tube should have been taken out but the dr left before Michael came back to his room. Another week.:( We left at his lunch time as Jenny is due to work this afternoon hour.

Now my feet are going up!
Baby Issac is in my thoughts and prayers as are his family.

Kay said...

Oh, JO, I'm so glad I came in the door to see the news of your wonderful visit with Michael ! He's a fighter, a winner, a survivor---all traits passed on by his fine parents, I'm sure ! Are you having any problems with the Prednisone and or Zpac ? I've had both many times over the years for asthma/bronchial treatment. This time I have what DANAMO warned about--tough time sleeping last night--had the sweats and had to change to lighter p.j.'s and didn't even want a blanket on me in spite of the fact the thermostate is only set on 70. I'm going to get graphic--suffered through the agony of constipation this morning and my face is broken out with bright red eczema which I do have a med for. All tolerable if it brings down the back pain. I will, however, call the doctor or her nurse if the symptoms get worse.

My prayers are with SHAR's Isaac,LOLLIE's Joseph, JO and her Michael, DANAMO's dad, SANDI's mom and all others in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

In spite of my maladies I felt it necessary to keep an appt. with my banker---time to take the required yearly withdrawal from my IRA. Always a big help at this time of year as all my big bills occur in Nov./Dec./Jan.---insurances, property taxes, auto plates.... So now, it's time to put my feet up just like JO ! zzzzzzz.......

Will take time to read posts later. I need to take care of a few things around here, now.

Got to check on my required withdrawal, too, Kay. I should have gotten the check by now. This is my first time doing this.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

JudyE, they too found out while Nicole was pregnant with Isaac. They originally thought he had more than that wrong with him but it wasn't the case. They were totally prepared for it when he was born and got treatment started right away. He has a MIC-KEY button for feeding and suction machine that they turn on and off as he has nowhere for the saliva to go. They also would put tastes of formula in his mouth so he would associated that with him getting full so when he can eat, he hopefully will know how.

Sitting here and waiting for my mouth to return to normal so I can eat. Do not want to chew my lip!

Finally have the crown in. The head honcho dentist I liked. He was gentle, he explained things, and did not drop anything down my throat!!! Still plan to go to another dentist next time.

"My heart feels a little lighter tonight. "Mom" sounds stronger and less confused. She has actually had a good day. Even has enjoyed a little chocolate ensure and a few bites of soup. JUDYE Thank you for the news on the discovery of the tomb. With the Extreme Moslems in Egypt threatening to blow up the pyramids and the Sphinx and the antiqueties in the Egyptian Museum I wished they would not unearth any thing else. The desert is full of it and it is best to leave them burried and left in peace. RIP except if you are an Egyptian Mummy in which case you threaten the Moslems when you are dug up!!! They do not RIP really!!!

Sorry I am upset today with all the news that is coming out of there and I tried to text, to message to email and to phone my sister and all the lines are blocked. I did not get through!!!

Withdrawing the Egyptian Ambassador from Israel is not a good move

Enough already...moving right along!!!

Our last truck delivery from the Food Bank truck, had 5 large boxes of already prepared, frozen foods from the Olive Garden. A lot of soups (Minestrone, Cream of Mushroom, etc) Marinara Sauce, Chicken Tenders & Fingers, etc., etc. A wonderful assortment for many meals to come! This was my favorite delivery. We also had 300 pounds of Bakery items, 300# Produce and 300# of Dairy.
We'll work on the next menu when Capt. Gene gets back from his hunting trip.

Yawning non-stop here:)
Good night, sweet dreams...love and prayers for all♥

Good morning everyone! Again, thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes. Today Isaac will be admitted and they will insert a central line for IV access. Tomorrow is the surgery and it will take 8 hours at least. Then comes the long, horrible month or so of him being intubated and sedated while they stretch the esophagus and stomach closer together. They told Nicole that it is very common during this time for children to develop broken bones, I guess something about the process makes them very brittle. They will do physical therapy on him every day to keep his muscles from atrophying. This all is just amazing to me. I know in the end it will be worth it for him to have a normal life but Lord have mercy, I just don't know how she is going to do this up there my herself. Chuck will have to come home Black Friday and go back to work. Family members are going to try to take turns going up there as much as possible, but for the most part, Nicole is going to be alone during this time. I cannot imagine.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Nicole is working on a Caring Bridge account but she didn't want to spend too much time working on it while Isaac is still awake. They are spending every moment they can cherishing him. She will work on it and I will let you know about it when she is ready. This is all a huge step for her and Chuck as they are very private people and having to reach out like this and have their life displayed is hard for them but they know it is necessary and that people love them and want to be part of this with them. They are coming around gradually.

HODA: i am hoping that you are able to contact your family soon. i cannot imagine having my loved ones in another country...what little bit i have seen in books/tv/etc of Egypt...it is such a fascinating place .... when I was in Virginia I had the opportunity to do some belly dancing and a few of the parties where we danced were Middle Eastern family parties, birthday and the like. They were kind, warm and inviting. I loved being around them. I miss that.

But I cannot imagine having my family so far away and with political issues, not being able to contact them. ((((HUGS)))) my friend. You are right..faith, hope, love.....

I think a walk at the Marina will do us both good. Baby photos are pretty cute. So young. Prayers for this little guys Mom and him if you could and then there is the 2 yr old. A little red head need I say more :-). His Mom is do to give birth to his baby sister any day now. She has not even ever had a photo of the 2 yr old done before. He was indeed intrigued by the camera. We did have to tickle him to get a smile. You know what that did with the energy and still level. LOL. Nicole posted this on FB this morning.

I am not one that usually puts a lot of personal feelings and such on facebook but I feel the need to reach out this morning for prayer. We are having a very difficult time at the thought of Isaac being admitted to the hospital and not being his primary care givers for the duration of this procedure. This is undoubtedly the toughest thing I've ever had to do. Please say a special prayer for us to have " peace that surpasseth all understanding" as we feel like we are preparing to say goodbye to sweet baby Isaac for 4-6weeks. He will be in a medically induced coma for some time but at least we know he won't be in pain. Love to you all this morning...

HELLO ALL...
Home early from GG's. She played out early and told me to go home and take a nap;)
I checked her fridge to see what she had eaten and what she had leftover. I found a dish of Yellow Grits, which Gene had made for her last week (thought she had eaten them all and wondered where she had been keeping them??) Anyway, I threw them in the garbage, knowing they wouldn't be edible after all this time. As I was cooking oatmeal for her breakfast, she told me she had made some of the Grits for breakfast and ate them with Salsa on top, saying it was delicious...told me to get some and see how good they were!! UH, OH, I threw away her fresh grits. Well, fortunately, I had taken her garbage out and had a fresh bag in her can...took them out of garbage and put them in a dish and back in the fridge while she had left the room;) She never cooks anymore, but these were cooked to perfection. The Lord made me put a clean garbage bag in the can, but WHY did He let me throw them away?? I really need to have a one on one talk with Him!
I think I just gave TMI:)

Hard to cook for just me, and I usually have Micro Dinners when Gene goes to camp, but haven't had a chance to go to Weis for them. Maybe some Progresso soup and crackers...comfort food.
Enjoy your suppers...BBL

Good Evening Everyone - getting ready for our dinner for two here. Wanda, GG is remarkable! and so are you and Gene!

My day went very smoothly - Hubby and I left about 45 min ahead of scheduled CT
thinking that the other 2 tests were on a walk-in basis. Well it turned out that after I registered they sent me early to CT and then took me right over to have blood work at their lab and then over to get the EKG. All in the same building within a few steps of each other. Smooth and the staff were so very gracious and kind. I was out of there by 2:00. Good day cause I came home after stopping at Joanne's for some sewing thread and put my feet up for 2 hours! I was so comfy in my recliner and I had gotten up earlier then my regular time. So
that was my day........ Now I am free until next WED the 21st when I will get the Bronchoscopy to place the gold pins (markers) around the tumor. So far so good! BBL

I heard from Mary at Walker Ford I had asked a few questions wanting to know how far they got in the idea of getting a cam on the cell phone towers I asked if they owned the tower, etc, and would the cam interfere with the cell phone towers this is her answer So they look to be serious in it

Tracy forwarded your email to me.

I have contacted the people who lease the tower from us I got no where. We own the tower. Yesterday I reached out to a gal from the game and wildlife we talked about a webcam. She was going to look into it and try to get me intouch with the folks who could help us with this.

I haven’t heard anything yet.

You can email me or call me if you any info you can add.

then I got a second email with this would it be wrong of me to ask for the pictures ???

I also have some really great pics of the the parents and the babies when they were learning how to fly.

H-E-L-L-O--- EVERYBODY!!!

I am so sorry I have been away for so long without explanation!!!

It's been a rough few weeks with Dennis and his surgical complications - and - my horrible headaches!!! Ugh!

Dennis' stent was finally removed yesterday! Hallelujah!! And I found out that I have a deep sinus infection that has been causing symptoms that I didn't put together. I thought I had a toothache and on the same side had the feeling of water in my ear!! An x-ray at the dentist office actually showed the infection. Strange. I am sure that is what contributed to the headaches as well.

They are all long stories, but we are on the mend..........hopefully!!

Dennis is still in quite a bit of pain, but we hope it will only last a day or so.

I have tried to catch up here and there on what is going on, but never had the energy to post.

I have remembered so many of you in my prayers, though. DANAMO's Dad, SANDI's Mom, JO, GLO's MIL, BABY ISAAC, LORI's tummy, KAY's pain, MARGI's hands, BOOMER's indigestion problems, LOLLY's Joseph's asthma problems, and MICHAEL!

I have watched the video of MICHAEL and the girls a few times and all I can say is WOW!! I was so surprised to see him so alert, expressive, happy and energetic! Praying that he gets the help and care he needs as he transitions out of the hospital very soon.

Please know I do care and love you all. It's just been a rough month for us..........and we are not there yet. We have lots of catching up to do!

Thank you for your posts, emails and for the phone call, MARGY ♥.

xoxo

Good Evening Eagle Buds! Don't think I've been on for a couple, but wanted to write from the Park TU about a group that came for a tour. They were all environmentalists~~~international scientists. One was from Germany, a couple from Netherlands, etc. They were slated to start w/boat tour, but weather so bad, Greg K rearranged the schedule. They went in bus on the Driving Tour thru the State Park next door, came back for late lunch and then did boat tour in the SUN!!!!(I whispered to the 3 leaders before Greg came over to make sure he told them about eagle nest!! ☺)
Leaving Park for day, with the first 2 taps on the brake while going around some curves, got that terrible metal scraping noise!AARRGGHH Decided to go as far as eagle nest, park and phone home to ace mechanic.Cell phone dead!!!Drove back to office and now clunking, scraping noises constantly while driving!!Sounded like the local freight train to me. Mechanic decided to drive it home w/me following closely behind in his car.I don't think I would have thought of this, but in case of bad brakes (they're 2 months old!)he hardly used the pedal, but shifted down into low to help stop and it's automatic! He worked on it Wed. AM, but I was still chicken and took his car to work!Think mine had a loose caliper on one front wheel and link broke on other side that holds up torsion bar. That was most of the scraping noise.Glad it fell apart where it did, not on a highway! Also at Park our big oval placgue w/blue heron fell off the Vis. Ctr. sign!!! I'm blaming both on hurricane Sandy!

Thanks for listening to the trivia☺
What's important here is prayers and best wishes for baby Isaac and family with his surgery. Sounds difficult to have him so sedated.
Good to hear from Linda!!Hope you both feel lots better and stress may also play a factor in your headaches, too. Hope all the problems will be gone ASAP.
Kay, glad you can tolerate the pred.I hope all your pain LEAVES. No one deserves any of that, especially you!
Lori, sorry to hear of "bad belly" and you still get to work! Guess the show must go on!!
Dear Mema Jo, I'm in awe of your serenity. I know you should be confidant that they will Out, Out that Damn Spot! That is our prayer.

I had about the very same thing happen a few years ago...on Palm Sunday Saturday -
a block from my apartment!
had to miss services, but my friendly "family" mechanics (they ahve sort of adopted me and always ring me up during hunting season to come get some Venison!)
got things all fixed up...they know my Blazer inside and out...!
Glad YOU were in friendly territory when it happened also

JO - As it is so well-deserved, that things went so smoooooothly today for you!

Sandi: my nephew (one of many nephews) just spent a week in Tanzania with his job...comes home Friday.....

We are home. Great evening! Picked Jacob up at school, did his practice spelling test with him, then prepared dinner. Then up from the table to go to the choir program. I posted a picture of Jacob on fb. You can really see what a big boy he is. We are on fast track to 6'6" or taller!!! Bless his heart...he is still just a little boy!

Hi Lolly!
Sounds like a fun day.
Always enjoy hearing about your family events...

Okay now, maybe Judie can do some things like she did for Wanda...like the clean garbage bag trick! I could use a little magic like that !

Good Luck and Best Wishes on All Things Academic in the weeks to come, Judie !!

Megan saw another flock today, oh joy !!!

My New York Naturalist Pal...who works at Roger Tory Peterson Institute in New York...has pretty much retired! Working one day a week there, so my news from his part of the world will slow down, but he had told me a week or so ago...that the Tundra Swans were headed this way....
He was right !

♥ Paula - procedure will be at Frederick
Cyber Knife has been there for quite a while.

♥♥ Very disturbing international news from the Gaza Strip and Egypt with rockets at Israel. Hoda warned that when the Egyptian Ambassador was brought home something was going to happen. I really don't have all the facts but TV is reporting live.

HODA is 'spot on' with the goings on in Egypt...wonder if she ever thought about going into politics?
Yes, Jo, it is disturbing...so, so tired of killings and bombings, when will it all end?

MARGY, I'll let you know when we have a meal with the Olive Garden goodies...maybe you can join us!

There has been a hoot owl outside my window, calling for nearly an hour...wonder what that is suppose to mean. Good Luck, I hope:)
