I have spent the last week compiling all your warm memories of Lynn, and sympathies to her daughters and each other. And I must say: You've done her proud!

Sandi said...

Thanks Steve for the new thread and Sharon for the call over.

Shar, are you just lucky or are you spending every waking moment checking for a new thread? That grosbeak (sp?) is gorgeous - have never seen one! WOW!

Judie, I will share your thoughts about the shrinking tub conspiracy with Dennis. The current trend is to make things larger b/c, as a society we are getting wider, not skinnier! Am axious to hear what the plumber was able to do for us. Hope Grace and Audrey are doing OK and the call from the vet comes soon - the waiting is very anxietproducing!

Lynne2, congrats on seeing that first hummer!!!

Will light a candle for Lynn at 5:45PM and say a special prayer for Carolyn and Christie and all of Lynn's family.

Oh Magpie, I would absolutely love to see you come to Bluefield!

Lynne2 said...

Margy, I got the link from friend on FB, and went straight to the library to get (the only) book of his pictures....LOVE them!

Judie said...

Hi all,

Still no call from the vet. Anxiety level is increasing.

Babes are looking big and, sad to say, practicing to fly high.

Jo, hope you are feeling better and apologize for not saying that earlier.

Sandi, the "Let's Grow Large" posse is the secret society of fast food eateries. Food police want skinny and are in cahoots with bath/shower union. lol

Sick of these stupid papers. I fear for the future!

Wish we could have some interesting birds here. Mostly robins, several cardinals, blue jays, and adorable gold finches. Nothing exotic such as buntings and blue birds.

Bye

Judie said...

Hi Margy. So nice to see you stop by. Have a nice afternoon.

wvgal_dana said...

Yes JudyE it was so touching watching the chicks watch him fly like that. Wondering if they were thinking, "one day we will do what Dad is doing". :)

Margy so happy they are doing so well for you and that you are happy with them.♥

magpie said...

Thanks Judie...
sure have been missing out on news, so next time I check I hope to see that you have heard from the VET....

and that Jo is feeling 100%

and that you are happily done with the academic shenanigans for the semester

Lynne2: I betcha our source is the same on those Charley Harpers!

there was an exhibit at Roger Tory Peterson Institute awhile back, where my naturalist pal works....

breathtaking, what an eye for artistic expression he has !!!

xoxo

Lynne2 said...

Judie, under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you wait to hear from the vet. YOU call them!! Our clients are invited to call as often as they want to when patients are in hospital! We know people are anxious and have no problem having them call.

Lynne2 said...

I'll bet it was Margy! I am using the Migrants picture as my cover photo on facebook! His pictures are really adorable!

magpie said...

So Lynne2 when that exhibit was at RTPI I could access the site from there and went from link to link and it was wonderful....might have to get me some greeting cards....
have received some nice Christmas cards of his art, from a couple of folks in the past...

OK! end of the workday work whistle is going to shriek here shortly for me

TTFN xoxxo Hoping for some time with a special gal pal later on ☺ ☺

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

I think there is a Smoothie in my future tonight ☺ xoxo

Love you, Precious Pals ♥

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Okay, bird inventory so far today:

Rose-breasted grosbeak (male), titmice, chickadees, Mr. and Mrs. Cowbird, catbird, blue jays, cardinals, downy woodpecker, gold finches, house finches, mourning doves, robins, nuthatch, but not a partridge in a pear tree! :)

Lori O. said...

Sharon, your Grosbeak is a beauty! I'd love to see one.

Judie, have you called the vet yet?

wvgal_dana said...

What a poop shoot that was !!

JudyEddy said...

wing flap before poop shoot must help LOL

Judie said...

Whew! Thank you to those who encouraged me to call the vet; however, as I was about to do that the phone rang (about 5 minutes ago) and it was the vet. Both young ladies are coming out of anesthesia and both are doing well. No complications. Audrey has nibbled some food but Grace is watching her calories. Vet said there was no aggressive behavior BUT they got quite mouthy about being prepped. There are no external sutures. They are glued. They can come home after 2pm tomorrow. Hope the hands on the clock just twirl around.

Margy, have fun with your gal pal. Have a smoothie for me, please.

I want some of Sharon's birds. No fair.

To the kitchen now. Oven BBQ chicken, Cole slaw, maybe some cornbread.

Thanks for the support.

Judie said...

Well, wasn't that all about me.

Jo, I know I said earlier but hope you are feeling better.

Who's pictures? Roger Tory Peterson Institute? I must Google that.

Bye

Sandi said...

Judie, Grace will fit in my skinny bathtub!! Seriously, glad to hear that all went well! Don't know who will be happier to see who!!

Lynne2, I didn't see one of thos butterflies as I was driving this afternoon - very strange. But yesterday was sunny and 80 and today is cloudy and gray and 58!! Maybe they prefer warm weather!

Love my new stylus to use with my Kindle! This may actually allow me to get a phone with a virtual keyboard!!

I have a student with spina bifida. He walks but with braces. Today he came to school and told me that next week, he will be having surgery (he has known it was coming within the next 6 months). Currently, as his spine continues to curve, it is compromising his lung capacity and eventually, it would kill him. The surgery will stop the curvature b/c it will fuse his spine with his pelvis. But WITH the surgery, he will most likely live the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Makes me want to hug my healthy boys! Josh could use some Momster prayers - I'll let everyone know when I have the exact date for the surgery.

Sandi said...

Jo, sure hope the new meds don't continue to make you feel puny!

Has anyone heard from Linda lately?

CarolAnne, thanks in advance for taking the time to assemble the Lynn tribute; I bet it was a real labor of love.

Jewels, if you hop on the blog this evening, know that you and your sister are in our thoughts and prayers daily!

wvgal_dana said...

Judie glad the kitty's are doing well.

Sandi please do let us know when Josh's surgery is.

Rain is starting here. Coming down very heavy!!

We miss her so very much and yet not one of us is grieving the loss of her pain and sickness. We just miss Lynn on our blog. How very strange though she is everywhere. She lives on in those who knew her in various relationships. We pray for your healing touch on the hearts of those who weep for you promise to comfort them. Grant a special sense of peace and love to her girls and close family and those friends who were as family too. In your precious name Amen.

I just seen on Diane Sawyer where they showed "Made in America". Where people (judges) look at what the person has and wants to make in America. For instance; this guy had a rack that fit onto the cab of a truck to carry ladders and such. He was told to take it overseas. He said, "No to them". So they rejected his idea. Channel 7 went and found him. They wanted to see how easy it was to put together. Very easy ! Then they called a phone number that had called the man after his rejection to have it made in America. It is an American Company that is going to meet with him to make his product. Also channel 7 found out that Home Depot wants to sale his idea!!!!!!!
Channel 7 tomorrow is going to show what happened to 3 other people that were rejected by "Made In America". I do believe that it is going to show. Their idea has been made in America!!!!!

for Linda ?????????

wvgal_dana said...

I am wondering if so Jo. Cause I thought when we had the 5:30-5:45pm prayer time for Lynn. I thought for sure Linda S. would have written a prayer and put in.?????

Mema Jo said...

I sent her a FB message and of course it is on here. If nothing is heard I will call Linda tomorrow..
Off to Criminal Minds BBL

wvgal_dana said...

Last on Linda's facebook was April 26th.

Lynne2 said...

Dana the prayer was just a suggestion this afternoon, and i'm sure many, including Linda, may not have seen it.

It is unusual for her not to check in. I believe she and Dennis attend church services on Wednesday evenings. Maybe she'll check in after!

Think I'll go read for a while. I have had a relaxing and yet productive day. Five loads of laundry, some trimming outside, dusting and vacuuming, gettin' me arse kicked at Words with Friends, dog brushing....whew! And still took 2 nice walks and did some birdwatching from the patio!

In case I don't get back, I'll see you in the morrow. Goodnight and prayers for all!

I hope everyone is okay. I've been lurking, scanning posts...kind of keeping up. Still feeling somewhat stressed as our niece has taken liberties to be rather ugly on facebook. :( Makes me sad. I understand she is defending her mother, still, makes me sad.

Been working. School is almost over here....our end of the year school testing is done...now, the home stretch!

Reading the tributes for Lynn today was really emotional. So many tears that I ended up with a headache. She was so loved.

I've been away from the blog dealing with back trouble again (yet?). Just had a third cortisone injection Monday. Doc tells me my spine is in terrible shape and he's not sure he'll be able to help me.

He wants to try one more thing - deadening the nerves between L1-2,3-4-5-6. Oh how I wish I could talk to Lynn.

Kay, hope your surgery gives you relief from your back pain. Did I miss exactly what the surgery will be? I've had 2 back surgeries and found them to be easier than my shoulder or neck. So, Kay, rest easy. This could very well be exactly what's needed. Prayers for a relieving surgery.

Talk about pain meds... had to take 2 today and now I'm getting loopy. Just hope I'll be able to sleep.

Please forgive my bad spelling and grammar. It's hard to think and type once those meds start to work.

Prayers for Lynn's family and anyone else in need.

Goodnight & God bless.

Yesterday Joseph found a copper head in their back yard. He got the dogs in and then told his mom, "there is a snake with a triangular head in the the yard." She got a shovel and went looking for it. Sure enough! Joey wasn't home so Laurel sent Joseph for a neighbor and he killed it. Joseph was pulling weeds. It shook him up as well as his momma.

I am thinking it is time to get a solid board fence up in their backyard. They come in from the pasture behind them.

Well, looks like I missed the chit chat tonight. I am off to shower. Night all! Sweet dreams!

She went into the hospital the next day for her surgery:( That was the day that we got that speeding ticket in Sharpsburg:)
Another photo was from the 4th of July party at GG's. Lynn had her nails painted red, white and blue. She always dressed in the patriotic colors every year. We always had BBQ ribs for the 4th and Gene told Lynn last year that we would have steak this year and she said she couldn't wait:(

Hi, Everyone,

Have had a very busy day here today, and fell asleep in front of the TV with Emma after dinner.
Can't believe it's been a week since Lynn left us. Heart still aches big time.

Judie, so very happy to hear that Audrey and Gracie are doing fine.
Can the time for them to come home get here fast enough?! Give them my best wishes, and Emma's too.

Afraid I missed the prayer time for Lynn, but have been praying nearly constantly for Carolyn and Christie and family. Was surprised to see a female goldfinch in the back yard this morning--have NEVER had one here before. Maybe Lynn was visiting! Would like to think so. Still miss her so much.

Well, need to try to get a bit of sleep before Ken gets up and goes to work. Prayers have been said for everyone--added some to the prayer list. Porch light is on.
Both security systems are enabled.
Sleep well, everyone. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you!♥♥

OKAY LINDA, HIDE-N-SEEK IS OVER. YOU WIN! COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE!!!

Hoda said...

YAY!!! No State testing...that is very good.

My phone was on sale and this is why I went ahead with it for now, to get to practice so I can keep in touch when I am in the USA...it is normally 649$ here and I got it for 150$ with a three year contract.
I was first intimidated but not so much any more.

Hoda said...

OH SHaR I have been thinking so much of LINDA and wondering where she was...she did not say she was going to go on a trip or anything...

Good Morning To Everyone :)
Sandi, Hoda, Thelma, Janet, Lori, Shar, JudyE, Lynne2 and lurkers.

Yes Red praying this surgery coming up ends up as good as the other hip.

Nana you spoke last night of deadening of the nerve. I have had what they call "burning of the nerves". Which I am thinking is the same thing. It truly helps. Althought I am 62 if older it last much longer. I get a good year out of the neck. Not as long out of the back. Good Luck Lady ((HUGS)))

Lolly I like your new word for our dictionary "cool for cook" lol
Very, very happy things turned out ok about the copper head. Scary!!

Hoda you are really getting the hand of using that phone. Good Luck with it :)

To all teacher (Judie, Sandi, DanaMo, Janet) hoping I did not leave anyone out. So glad your year is almost over. :)

So very happy connect was made with Linda :)

Good morning everyone. Speaking of crummy weather and loss of sleep its a very long week in my world. I have a Kritter kapture session today out of town. I am tired tired BUT I love this opportunity. Lynn was always so supportive of my Kritter Kaptures. I miss Lynn. Glad our little ones have had a good breakfast. Hope its a good day for all.

Good Morning, Everyone,

We'll see how long I last here. I only got a couple hours of sleep, and our coffeemaker has croaked. Looking for some instant coffee to try to keep awake for a bit longer.

SO glad that Linda checked in! Prayers that the migraines will scram, and that their dog will feel better!

Emma is back to her old self, except when we go out front, BOTH of us check carefully to make sure the neighbor's dog is not around!
Emma's still scared of trash trucks, too. Believe it or not, I'm actually considering taking some pepper spray outside with me.
I'm really glad that neither Ken nor I got bitten!

Saying prayers for the student who is soon to have surgery. Tough situation! Hope all goes well for him.

Prayers for Red, too! Hope the surgery is a go for tomorrow, and all will be well. Can't wait to hear that Red is up and running again!

Sharon, enjoy the concert!

Well, I MUST find some instant coffee, or I'll do a face plant!
Will check back in later. Prayers and (((HUGS))) for Carolyn and Christie and family. I miss and love ♥♥Lynn!! I love us, too!! HAGD, everyone.

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Glo enjoy your Kritter Kapture. Hoping your engery level picks up.

Andy so sorry Emma has some fears. Yes pepper spray would be a good idea. I hope your find that instant coffee so you don't do a face plant. Give Emma a rub behind the ears for me or if she likes tummy rub.

Oh dear that brought back going to our Sweet Loving Lynn's and us talking and me holding Liesl giving her tummy rubs. Tears here..

wvgal_dana said...

Oppps not engery but energery.
