Good Frosty Morning... Sun is shinning but it crispy cold out there! Prayers for all travelers today and tomorrow.

Whoops! Didn't know the split was happening. I made it anyhow.

Will is getting assigned the job of pet sitting for the weekend.

We have already had one animal escape this morning. George and Flash got outside, but Kathryn caught it quickly. George knows he can pull the door to the garage from the laundry room open if it isn't fully closed, then it is escape time if the big door is up.

Not Hunter's fault this time. Kathryn also needs to learn the quirks of the house and of George.

Things are gearing up for a great weekend at NCTC. Wishing all of you an awesome time and lots of special eagle sightings too :-)

Glo - I have printed onto parchment your very touching words of prayer for us on Sat. You will be with us in spirit in our hearts.

Yes, Shirley, you all can ride over to NCTC with us, although we will be leaving to go back to the Clarion a little early so that we can get set up..OK?

On Just for Fun, I posted 2 costumes for Hunter...they are the only ones that aren't Horrific...have you seen them yet?

Phoebe, the hummingbird, is back on camera and is building a new nest from scratch this morning.

In So Cal this morning: drier, but still a lot of cloud cover, temperature will hover around the mid 60°.

Has been a lazy morning and after yesterdays long drive it has been more than welcome. Have done my do and now waiting for clothes to dry and we will head out. I even mopped floor this morning. LOL

Hi, Jim,
Thanks for the heads-up on Phoebe. Have been checking on her lately, but hadn't seen any nest building going on. She sure is a busy girl today, though. Thanks again!

OK, Jo...thanks!

Judie,
I'd love to take today off from school work, but have a BUNCH of Algebra homework (309 problems, to be exact!), and am afraid that if I don't do it today, I'll forget how! Just learned the process late last night. Was too brain weary to work on any problems when I got home last night, so need to do some today. It's beginning to seem easier, so guess I'm progressing in spite of myself.

Wanda, Kathryn says he wants to be a Green Goblin. He is also open to looking.

As far as scary is concerned, who knows? He watched Jumanji last night. I am only his grandmother, but I would think that movie might scare a sensitive kid. Kathryn won't let him watch the real horror movies, though.

stronghunter said...

Yikes!!!!

309 algebra problems!

That would give me nightmares. Worse than a horror movie. Why on earth so many problems???????

stronghunter said...

BBL. Gotta pack.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Shirley,
I guess there are that many so that we will be sure to cement the process in our brains. We're having to move pretty quickly, and not much time in class to really practice. Teacher does lots of problems on the board, but works best for me when I'm actually writing the equations. Seem to remember stuff better that way.

Just got home from the press conference. Haven't read back yet.
Here is my report, if you are interested!!
We had a great turnout, including one of our state senators and one of state reps. People from Days End were there, and Animal Control personnel were there (perhaps jeopardizing their jobs). Ch. 25 news WHAG did several live interviews, including with the pols. Despite several phone calls to the prosecutor requesting that they come out to respond, they refused.

Sen. Unger called the state tax department right then and there requesting an investigation as to misuse of charitable donations, as she is listed as a 501C org. The IRS is also being notified.

Both pols said that this case is NOT going to go away and be forgotten. If nothing else, more legislation will come out of the malfeasance of the prosecutors office and the court.

I would say that there were probably 60 or 70 people present. Dr. Bridges did not address the group, but she did do interviews with the media. The new editor of the local newspaper came himself, rather than sending a reporter, and he did many interviews.

Hi there, Crunch Bob...will be looking for you at the NCTC Cafeteria:)

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh, well. Guess I didn't have any big plans for the weekend anyway. Sigh....

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Lynn,
Well, sounds like something good may come out of this situation after all. Sure hope so!

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, have to run. Dryer is hollering at me. Will check back a little later to see what's happening. Have a great day! :o]

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - I certainly am interested!
Wow! what a turn out -so glad you were there. Sounds as though some good things will come out of all this.

Hubby bought a new Toyota.. Going down to pick it up. I just can't talk him into coming tonight even though I let him buy a new car... lol

I just had two very funny people to stop in my shop...check them out on JUST FOR FUN.

WOW.....missed a lot.....
Crunch: are you and Doris coming for dinner tomorrow evening??

Andy, congrats on test score. And good luck with 309 problems---can u say brain drain???

Hope Candy and Jim are making good time----it's about a 7 hr. drive for them.

Had to chuckle at your comment, Dana---know you didn't mean to wish misery on the travelers!!!!

So nice that Ed got himself a new car, Jo. Sure wish he would come join us. He KNOWS we don't bite!!

Anonymous said...

Hedgie, No we will be going home before that. Doris has trouble walking long distance's. The open house will be alot for her. The walk alone to eat at the open house is alot for her. She has to ride a scooter when in wa-mart.

WE HAVE ARRIVED!

Got to Shepherdstown about noon. Lunch at Betty's. Crabcake sandwich (not on menu) which was recommended by waitress. Outstanding. Betty is deceased. Pricey but really good.

Then went on an excursion to a costume shop. Darth went in alone and asked if he could get a Darth costume. The fun has begun.

Next went to NCTC and a nice man let us go in to drive up to the nest. No eagles but the nest is still there. Tried to coax Boris down but he's too savvy to fall into my trap.

Now at Comfort Inn after passing by Sheetz during our adventures.
Only a few more hours.

Oh good Lolly! I look forward to seeing them! Hope you all have a good time!
