Heading out to vote. BBL.

Lolly said...

Wow! That was fun! Now to get to work! Just had to know where to find you when I came back. LOL

Lynne2 said...

Good afternoon all! BUSY DAY! Physical first thing this morning, then voting (had to wait for a half hour...they said turnout has been high at my polling place today), babysitting shortly, much to do before.

Both of my knees are swollen, Dr concerned that right knee has almost NO reflex. I don't even know what that means. UGH, now have to see Ortho for it. blah blah blah. Should have blood tests results end of week. Oh, and I have NEVER been fatter. Got a little chat about that....but I figured I would. :(

Missed our birds today but glad they made a mid day visit!! WOO HOO it's getting CLOSER!!

Hope Sophia is feeling OK today! Prayers for Faye's surgery. Hoping Anne is recovering nicely now that she is home, and more prayers for Judie's test results.

Gotta run...have a good day all!

Judie said...

Dana, so glad the drippy eyes are not dripping. Sure hope the new spectacles will work miracles. Glad you like the new doctor.

Jo, won't be long now. Happy homecoming is around the corner.

Hi Jim. Congratulations to Phoebe. Is there a link or can I just Google Phoebe?

Shirley, about your avatar. Is that you on Halloween?

Hope Susan and Faye are improving.

Wanda, I'm hungry sitting here in my office. What's for dinner tonight?

Oops, no sooner typed than a customer appears. BBL

Well, had a quick scare. Thought Jo's street clothes were a bear costume and she was sticking her tongue out at passersby.

Mema Jo said...

Judie You go and take care of your customer.... lol

Mema Jo said...

It has been a while that we have had
400 ! I just looked but no new thread!

Judie said...

Well, got a minute and found Phoebe sitting on her two eggs. So cool!

Shirley, I agree about an occasional snow day as long as they fall on my non-teaching days. The Univ. rarely closes. Law students some years back sued for reimbursement for three days' tuition and won. Pretty much guaranteed no inclement weather closings. Stuuuuupid students!

Judie said...

I see Jo told me to take care of my customer. I think she was sticking her tongue out at me.

Mema Jo said...

Yea! Big Time! lol

hedgie said...

#$*&!%$ Can't get mower started. KNEW that was going to happen. ARGH!

Not a single other voter present when I got to poll. In and out in 5! And only 5 from home....really quick trip!

hedgie said...

Phoebe just left and I got to see both eggs!!! So pretty.

Lynne, if no reflex in your patellar area, usually inidcates nerve compression in your lumbar area.....as if you didn't already know that you have that problem!

hedgie said...

Judie, remember you tellimng us about those dumb law students suing before---if the univ. isn't going to close, then they should put you up in a dorm on campus!

hedgie said...

As many times as Phoebe flies off that best, I 'm sure glad it's warm out there!

Lolly said...

Our son, Michael

Did I tell you all about this? Michael made the Super Lawyer list this year. We are sooooo proud! That's my baby!

Lolly said...

Saw Lun Lun squirming around.

Mema Jo said...

I think hubby forgot that he was going to hit the leaves in the back yard!
Oh Well - hope the winds come again and then my next door neighbors can do them.......... lol

Judie said...

Oh no, please, anything but being in a dorm with wannabe adults!!! Suicidal in less than 5 seconds!

Phoebe is busy this afternoon. Making sure those eggs are snug and warm. She is beauteous.

stronghunter said...

Good grief!!

I would say what else can happen, but then it would certainly happen.

Furnace man came for the fall check-up. I told him that I had put the system on "emergency heat" because I did not think the furnace was running properly on the regular setting.

He said a that I was right. It was not running and I need a whole new system. According to him, fifteen years is a good amount of time to expect from a heat pump anyway.

I did have problems with the air conditioning in the summer, if you recall. It's the same problem coming back now.

I called Kathryn and she will get in touch with Hunter's football coach who also does heating and air conditioning.

Of course, you can get a tax break if you buy a new system within this calendar year. But that does not mean that I want to buy a new system.

We will see.

I am at school now. Just barely made it to my first appointment after all of the time spent with the furnace man, but I really needed to have him come. He has the system working for now, but it will be the second time we've put a band-aid on the problem.

He did say that the present system is using more electricity than a new one would.

stronghunter said...

So will the law students sue if they crash their cars trying to get to school in a blizzard, Judie?

I can tell you about lots of silly things law students do.

I told my ex that I was sure the merchants of Williamsburg were most weary of some of their foolishness when he talked about what the law students at William and Mary did.

stronghunter said...

And how about all of the law professors who must go to teach classes in blizzards? Surely they are smarter than their students. Do they sue the students when they crash their cars on the way to impart their wisdom?

I don't think I need to worry about my 4th block kids suing the school for more instruction time.

Mema Jo said...

Oh Lolly - The rising star has now become the Super Lawyer! Congratulations to Michael and to
his proud family!

Lolly said...

Thanks Jo! We are super proud. Should have given everyone this link to the page

Our son, Michael

Lolly said...

Hee Hee! Just figured out how to put it on fb.

hedgie said...

Congrats to Michael, Lolly!!

hedgie said...

Shirley, so sorry about the heat pump. Sure hope you can at least make it through this winter......heck of a time for you to have to put out a big chunk like that.

ROFL, Judie....I KNEW you would say that about the dorm!
And I have always loved the word beauteous----hardly ever hear it anymore! I still say she is the antsy-est roosting mama I ever saw!

Mema Jo said...

Can't get the live cam. Anyone else having trouble?

Congratulations, Lolly, on producing and raising a super lawyer. Sounds like a reason for a family partee.

Shirley, you need to visit my class to demonstrate the application of logic when challenging reality. Really funny! Sorry about the furnace/heat pump. I do think it has about lived its life expectancy. Pray for a tropical winter.

Jo, you think the way I do about leaves -- let the wind blow them next door.

I think it's almost time for a.m. in the p.m. BBL

stronghunter said...

Maybe I need to get a wood stove and a chain saw. T-i-m-b-e-r!!

Actually, I did have a chain saw at one time. My ex left it behind, and, though I have never used a chain saw, I have split logs with an axe.

magpie said...

Oh yes, Congratulations Lolly and Jack, AND Michael...how wonderful this is

Hi Hedgie and Judie...and maybe a few anonymous nest watchers right now

I think you better try your best to keep that neighbor! GOod to know that he's looking out for you. Italian night.....I made sphagetti.

Shirley, I have a small electric chainsaw.....and I have used it, but it sure makes my wrists hurt when I do.
BTW-----psst: Judie knows where to bury the old heat pump!

Loretta, so glad that you have seen one of your eagles!

Show over---gotta eat~~~

hedgie said...

Nope, Jo----no Boscov, either! Is it a clothing store??
What is the word on little Sophia?? Is she doing okay? Any luck finding Max a new home?

Any word on sweet Sophia...I haven't had time to read back very far?

wvgal_dana said...

Tv will be good tonight your right Jo.

I have a lot of catching up to do on comments for today.

Got new glasses put them on looked at the card with writing on they give you to read. I COULDN'T READ ANYTHING EVERYTHING WAS A BLURR!!!!

Kathy checked prescription and it is what dr wrote for.

Put old glasses on can see writing for reading great - distance terrible. New glasses reading terrible = distance GREAT. lol

We both decided to give it 3 days and see if it adjust. Due to I have a stigmantima (spelling) that Ididn't have before. Also she said when they mess with distance it changes reading....takes awhile to adjust. It does seem like it is working the more I have them on.

wvgal_dana said...

Need to find out what is wrong with Sophia??

Hope Faye, Susan, and Anne all improve with Gods Healing Hands.

wvgal_dana said...

They were lying down beside each other.

Lolly said...

Dana, Max is the dog that attacked Sophia. Sophia had to have many stitches on her face. They want to find another home for Max.

Mema Jo said...

I know this will break some hearts, but after evaluating Max's behavior in recent months, they made the difficult decision to put him down. They were having his burial today - Jo and Anthony had dug the grave for him and they had a Star for his marker. I haven't talked with Melissa yet today and if there is anything new, I'll let you know.
You know that when I said 25 stitches - it was 25 inside and 25 outside.
Her face is very smooth so no doubt
the plastic surgeon knew what he was doing. I hope to go see her in a couple of days and I did send her a card today. Jenny is sending her a
edible bouquet with Little Miss Kitty
decorative container and balloon.

hedgie said...

Dana, the CBS shows are repeats.

Jo, wow, 50 stitches in all. Poor baby. TOo bad about Max, but sometimes an old dog has pain that we may not realize, and that can make him get nasty sometimes. A very difficult time for the whole family, I know.....but I bet that Cinnamon met Max at the end of the Rainbow Bridge. THey will be like Mutt and Jeff.

wvgal_dana said...

Tears for our sweet baby girl Sophia. Oh Jo I am so so sorry and feel so badly for you and your loving family about Sophia.

wvgal_dana said...

Yes Hedgie-Lynn you got that right. At Rainbow Bridge Max will be the loving dog waiting for his family. While waiting he and Cinnamon can run and play...cat and mouse (Max being the mouse). (:

hedgie said...

Dana, astigmatism is one of the most common vision problems. It is usually hereditary and gets worse with age.

hedgie said...

LOL, Dana, Max would be an awfully big mouse for little Cinnamon to handle.

Mema Jo said...

I truly believe that Max had some pain in his body to make him be that aggressive. He is used to the children and was even at the foot of the bed when Joseph was born at home. I really believe he was in pain. Yepper,
Max and Cinnamon are trotting down the toe path by the river up at Rainbow Bridge.....

paula eagleholic said...

Jo, so sorry to hear about Max. I'm sure it broke their hearts. From your comments, there were other issues with Max.

Hope that Sophia is feeling a little bit better today.

Lolly said...

Probably best decision about Max. He would have been unhappy with leaving his family. And, what if something else had happened with his new family?

Anxious to hear about how Sophia is doing.

Do NOT want to watch election returns. So sick and tired of it all. Think I will search for something to watch while I knit. Not much more to do!

wvgal_dana said...

Thanks Hedgiep-Lynn I know you mean well. Thanks for telling me about astigmatism is one of the most common vision problems. It is usually hereditary and gets worse with age.

The last part well it is like this with the worse with age stuff:

(1)they can all fight each other for me hide
(2) diabetics
(3) degenative joint and tissue diease
(4) possible lupus
(5) place in my brain
(6) possible rental cancer
(7) possible breast cancer
(8) possible pancreate/stomach cancer
(9) or maybe something not even listed
So the old eye problem just has to fall in line-- I say poo on it all.
If I don't die by tripping over my own two feet then I'll probably going to get killed in a car accident lol

Don't know about a Boscov either. Still hope I can find one at WV Sheetz.

Geesh, Dana. Are you trying to scare us? Halloween is over! You can't let family medical history weigh on you. Too many variables involved!!! There is no family history of any kind of cancer in my immediate family, but I still ended up with lung cancer. So...anything can happen to anybody at anytime, but we sure can't dwell on it.

Laurel just called. Thought I would pass on the latest with Faye. Her pancreas is in bad shape. They can not do any surgery at this time. They want to remove the gall bladder and the cyst but the inflammation in her pancreas is too much for surgery at this time. She is going to be in the hospital for a long time. She is getting heavy dose of pain meds at this time. The doctors were not encouraging.

Heading to bed. Covet your prayers for Faye, Joey and Laurel. This is a very stressful situation. Faye had just retired and was working in Joey's office. Now he has had rehire the lady he had and has to pay her more. Not good. All kinds of stress going on here!

See you in the morning lite!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,
Just got home from school about 30 minutes ago. Have gotten somewhat caught up on the blog.

Prayers galore for little Sophia, and for the whole family. Condolences for having to have Max put down. I suspect he may have been in pain. Seems really unlikely that he would bite his own family otherwise. He and Cinnie are probably running around in circles together right now!

Prayers, too, for Faye. Sounds like a complicated situation, but am sure God can handle it all. Prayers for Joey and Laurel, too. Has to be really stressful for them.

Dana, prayers that your glasses will be OK once they get broken in a little. Sometimes takes your eyes a few days to adjust to the new prescription.

Ms Bookworm said...

Shirley,
Praying that your heat pump hangs in there for the winter. Know what you mean--it would be a lot cheaper to replace during the "off" season, I'm sure.

Lynn,
I really like your little hedgehog, too. Such a cute little face! Oh--I think you asked me about my absentee ballot. We get them permanently now. A few years ago, we were scheduled to be on vacation the week of Election Day, so got them then. They have just kept sending them, so we're going along with the program. I drop mine off at our polling place, and don't have to wait in line--just walk in, hand over my ballot, and I'm out of there. Works very well! Hubby elected to mail his in over a week ago. We like the flexibility of doing it that way.

Would like to ask for prayers for the husband of one of my classmates. He is a truck driver--drives an 18-wheeler, and he was in a serious accident last Thursday. His truck was hit hard by a big trash truck. He has a concussion, severe bruising on the left side of his face, a broken arm, and a shattered femur in one leg. They did surgery on his femur tonight to put in a rod, a plate, and several screws to hold everything together.
He will probably be unable to work for a while, and may need lengthy rehab. My classmate is frightened that he may be permanently disabled. In that case, she would have to drop out of school and go to work. They're a one-income family, with a 3-year-old son. She only has one more quarter before graduation, so I pray that she won't have to quit now! Your prayers are much appreciated! (She missed school last Thursday, so I only found out about it tonight.) Thank you in advance!

Ms Bookworm said...

I'm hopeful that he will mend faster than expected. He's young--only 43, so that's in his favor. Then there's the fact that prayers are powerful. That should make quite a difference, too.

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, it's getting pretty late for me, so think I'll head to TV land and veg for a while. My brain is fried from Algebra.

Prayers have been said for everyone.
Judie, thank you for turning on the night light. The porch light is on, too. Have enabled the eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. Have sweet eagle dreams! God bless, and goodnight!
Love all of you! :o]

I am better, not near as much pain, just a little discomfort. I think they are. The Nexium has always helped me more than Prilosec but insurance does not like paying for it. Just trying to get back into some kind of routine and that is hard. The birds look wet, is it raining up there?

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Wonder what they are looking at?? Something up in the tree has them both checking it out.

Costume Lady said...

Glad you are getting better...takes time to reach optimum comfort with your meds. Rules are important to follow!

It does look like we might have had some rain...we had a freeze/frost. It is 28°.

Yep, something landed near the cam and had the eagles looking at it. It sounded big!

Lori O. said...

Oh Good - ya'll know they're in the nest.

I'm between casts but happen to catch them.

Hope you are all having a fabulous eagle morning!

Costume Lady said...

Belle is sitting on the edge of the nest looking downward and Lib, of course, is sitting in the bedroom:) I'm loving this!

Costume Lady said...

Well, Good Morning Lori...thought you dropped off the face of the earth:)

Lori O. said...

Oh Wanda, I'm always watching! - Like Santa Claus!

Costume Lady said...

Lib may have gone for breakfast...hope he brings it back to the nest...love to see them dining there:)

Costume Lady said...

Both gone now...see them at lunch, maybe:)

Judie said...

Good morning.

Just a quick visit before I go get my "do" did.

Hi Bev. Glad you are feeling better and really glad to have you chatting with us again.

Andy, sorry about your classmate's husband. Hope he heals quickly.

Congratulations to Lun Lun. Happy panda smiles!

Jo, have a good dr. report today, please.

FuzzleMT said...

Hi everyone! Hope y'all are well and had a good summer. It's about time for some of us to return to the nest, kinda like Lib and Belle this a.m. - YAY!!
Such a big pleasure to see them in the nest again!
I checked on comments from Steve and haven't seen anything current since 10-14 about the new cam? Seems it would be too late in the season to install it now, but I wonder if anyone has any more info on it?

Costume Lady said...

No more info, FUZZ...just a wait and see situation. We are at their mercy:(

Costume Lady said...

I guess I had better get some breakfast and think about getting dressed. Dental appt. today...cleaning and repairs to a cracked tooth.
Have a good day:)

A quick hello. I see that it is still Sunday, so I am not out of date with my Halloween avatar. I might find time to change it this evening.

Got home last night to find Hunter's football coach figuring up the prices for a new heating AC system. He is giving me a good break, and I will probably get him to do the work. He made some adjustments in what the other guy had done earlier. The house was cold when Kathryn got home.

When we went upstairs, it was 85 degrees in my bedroom! It seems that they had been playing around with the thermostat and forgotten to reset it. It was right toasty up there.

Yes, I think my furnace and heat pump will soon join the other deceased appliances at the bear den.

Prayers for Faye, Laurel and Joey. Sad news about Faye-her long stay and the prognosis.

Oh Andy I sure hope she doesn't have to drop out. Isn't there some kind of hardship money she can get? To be so close to finishing.
You can depend on those prayers too. Maybe the school has some kind of scholorship fund for this type of case?

stronghunter said...

Prayers and best wishes for Faye.

Sorry to learn about Max, but the decision is certainly understandable.

Like your hedgehog, Lynn.

Must get to work, BBL.

wvgal_dana said...

Lori it is good to see you. You need to come in more often. Maybe you helped to bring in our eagles lol

Margy sorry it is that time of year to mess with frost. Does make you have to take more time to get ready to leave.

Wonder if one of our younger eagles from say 005 or 2006 landed in the tree. Good be!!!

Hi Fuzz yes I think more will be reporting in since it is getting nest time again--glad to see you.

Sissy glad you are feeling somewhat better. I am so excited about the panda baby. Can't wait to see it!!!!

I pray our Sophia is doing ok. My heart just aches for her.

See Lynn I don't worry about those things I listed. I was just showing you can have all kinds of things and it could be something else that gets you. Plus I was trying to show. We can have all kinds of things going on with us. BUT WHEN ONE OF OUR EAGLE GALS OR GUYS OR THEIR FAMILY GET INTO ACCIDENTS OR HEALTH ISSUES. OURS ARE NOT IMPORTANT AT ALL. THEIR'S BECOME MAJOR FOR US EAGLE MOMSTERS/DADSTERS TO FOCUS ON AND
WORRY ABOUT AND BE CONCERNED ABOUT.

Good Morning! I am so pleased to see the video of Lun Lun giving birth to the cub - she makes it look so darn easy. I am very very happy we will have
a new cub to watch it grow.

Our Royal Couple made their regular appearance this morning.

Hi Lori and Bev and FuzzleMA and all of you regular morning momsters.

hedgie said...

Morning all. Waiting for Frank to come jump my mower----hope it works! Thinks I may have to get a new battery.

Hooray---my press release finally made the paper---only took 10 days! Guess politics took up too much space before.

Wonderful news about Lun's new baby. Glad cam is up...too bad it wasn't on last night. Knew that would happen.

Sissy, hope the meds do a good job for you. Glad that you are feeling more human. Do you have the head of your bed elevated 6-8"??? Very important to do so. Eat small meals throughout the day. Avoid spicy foods as much as possible. Tomato products can also be a real problem (ketchup, tomato sauce, etc.).

hedgie said...

Hi,Lori and FuzzleMA!! Good to see you again.

Lolly said...

Good morning. A little over an inch of rain and still misty and 49. Sure hope Jack gets firewood soon. Also, will be glad when the sun comes out so we can clean the exterior of the trailer and move it to it's home.

Excited about he new wee panda. Have not seen the video nor able to get the cam up. Must be overloaded! Will try again.

Not sure what today holds but am "on call" to go to Denton.

Great to have some momsters peeking in this morning that have been been quiet recently. And great that our eagles were doing major repairs this morning. I never see them in the morning...I just can not get up that early!

Mema Jo said...

Lynn Great article you wrote for the Animal Advocates of WV. Very informative! Your group hopefully will be able to fulfill your goals.

Lolly said...

Finally saw the video of the panda birth. Was waiting for it's squeals! Also, was finally able to get the cam up. Thinking we might make a trip to Atlanta early spring,. We are overdue to visit family.

Time to get a move on....my coffee is gone. Have a great day!

great press release Lynn!

Good Morning everyone!
Sunny but breezy and cold this morning, with a second killing frost. Most of my stuff is toast now!

Hi Jim! Poor Phoebe...hope she can start another clutch soon. Wonder what happened?

Have a lot of things to do today but will check in when I can.

wvgal_dana said...

Can someone put the link up for Lun Lun having her baby?

hedgie said...

Okay, now I gotta catch up again! Frank got the mower started-----it's a problem with the filters....need replaced! Will do that Fri. when I'm out and about. Got one large area done, still need to do the dog yard.
And leaves continue to fall---a bit breezy today, too.

hedgie said...

Oh, no, Jim.....wonder what happened???? I sure thought yesterday that Phoebe was NOT staying home enough. Some type of predator? Poor little eggs.

Dana, the Lun video is on FB.

hedgie said...

I am headed out for regular check up
See how my blood work came out...

I'll be back later....

wvgal_dana said...

Thanks Lynn for the birth link and here is hoping for good blood work results Jo.

hedgie said...

Thanks for comments on my press release, gang!

Getting a sandwich and then back out I go. Rain tonight, so want to try to do as much as I can so I don't have TOO many wet leaves to worry about! Ha, who am I kidding??

wvgal_dana said...

I had to play it twice...oh the great sound of the squeal hee hee.

Was that Lun Lun roaring near the end just as picking Ling Ling up. For right now that is what I am calling baby pand Ling Ling.

Judie said...

Afternoon, all.

Got my "do" did and now ready to dazzle the cops.

Really nice article Lynn. Hope it produces some serious interest in the group's efforts.

Wanda, have a nice cleaning and repair -- teeth that is.

Thanks for the Lun Lun video. Wishing her a healthy cub -- loud squeals are good.

So sad about Phoebe's eggs. Have to wonder as the thorns on that rose bush seemed they would stop anything.

Owlettes are venturing further and further. I guess they will be on their way soon.

Lolly, sure wishing you two some relief from Faye's troubles and wish others would step up to help out.

Okay, absolutely must make myself prepare for tonight. BBL

some sort of police activity near nest, heard siren, now hear someone talking through a bull horn thingy but BUZZ making it hard to understand

Lynne2 said...

now wind really noisy....oh well, hope it wasn't something serious.

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Well, Lun Lun is worrying me to death with that baby! She is so restless and there ain't no catching a glimpse of the baby! Time to find a name for the precious little one!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Definitely a covert operation!!

Eagle-Eyed's Sissy said...

Was she rocking that baby?? Are ya'll watching????

Lynne2 said...

Sharon, I hear a TRAIN!!

hedgie said...

Sissy, Lun sure seems to want to hide that little 'un! Almost looks like she just keeps licking it---good that it doesn't have fur yet! It would all be gone. Hoping everything is okay there.

Can't understand why there's no chat going on about Phoebe's situation. Judie, I said the same thing yesterday about the thorns being a deterrant to predators----guess I was wrong.

hedgie said...

Looks like the stupid cam is frozen at Atlanta. Not a single movement of any kind for at least 5 mins.

My arms are hurting SO bad from the blower and the mower, and they are quivering. Guess it's that lactic acid thing after exercise. Weird. Took a muscle relaxant, so if things start looking like *n&y^t^)p@, you'll know I fell asleep at the keyboard!

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Everyone,
Getting here really late, after a major security scare with my laptop. Spent the night on live chat with Earthlink getting old security program removed and Norton 360 installed. PHEW! Immediately speeded up my laptop--DRASTIC difference! Scared the c--- out of me, because it was SOOOOO slow all of a sudden, and my firewall was not working. Would freeze up for the longest time trying to open pictures. Now it's like brand new!
Only trouble, had to pull an all-nighter to get the job done. Slept in till 10am local time, and may actually survive!

Ms Bookworm said...

Wow, looks like I missed a LOT! Bev/Sissy is back here (HOORAY!!!) and feeling better, there's a new baby panda, someone has raided Phoebe's nest (NOOO! Not again!), Shirley's heat pump has gone crazy and she's havin' a heat wave, Lori and FuzzleMA are back (Hi, ladies! GOOD to "see" you here again!), and Judie is preparing to completely dazzle those cops tonight! Gee, never a dull moment, is there?!LOL
:oD

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh, Lynn!
Gosh, I hope you have your keyboard airbag turned on! Sorry you're so sore--just like you to overdo. Take it easy, girlfriend! Maybe time for a panda nap till the meds kick in!

Ms Bookworm said...

It's such a cryin' shame about poor Phoebe's eggs! Wonder if it was the lizard from h--- again, or a raven. We may never know. Amazing that anything could get to the nest with all those thorns, isn't it?

hedgie said...

Okay, saw the cub for a moment....can't tell if it's mooving or not!

Ms Bookworm said...

Isn't it grand that we have a new little butter stick to watch? What are we going to call that new baby?
Ling Ling is a cute name, Dana.

hedgie said...

So glad you were able to save your puter, Andy! Hope you were talking to someone who spoke good English!
Glad that all is well, and that you did get SOME sleep.
If I take Flexeril it makes me SO sleepy. I still have the Robaxin that vet had given Cinnamon. It's a human drug, so took one of them. Been many years since I took it so don't remember effect on me! We had it at work until the early 90's.

hedgie said...

I just can't believe the Phoebe drama again, Andy. It stinks!

I think they should call the new little one Zooey!

Mema Jo said...

I really hoped I would return to a new fresh thread - but I had to hit "Newest" to find you.

My trip for my check up went well.. Blood work is good but will increase my cholesterol meds from 20mg to 40mg
He'll check my blood in Jan to see what is going on.

I am exhausted - feet up to get prepared for Alexis this evening.

Judie you dazzle those guys!

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - goes to prove you can't do too
much at any one time.... LOL
Hope you feel better within the hour.

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynn,
The neat part was that I was online doing a live chat with a techie--not on the phone. Works out MUCH better--no problem with the accent!
Their replies are really fast, and they can go into your computer and find the really hard-to-find techie stuff that would be almost impossible for me to find. Worked out great!

Ms Bookworm said...

That's a cute name too, Lynn!...Just checked the Panda cam again, and have a black screen. Do you have a picture?

Ms Bookworm said...

Jo,
Glad your checkup went well. Mighty grateful for a good report! Sounds like you better rest up so you're good to go for Alexis! BTW, thanks for the link to the lion cubs!

wvgal_dana said...

Oh ok there is my baby Ling Ling. Now Lun Lun needs to give us some look and see's....
She just did a complete spin around holding Ling Ling close.

wvgal_dana said...

Wish we could adjust sound on Atlanta Cam.

Ms Bookworm said...

Doggone it, don't know why, but all I get at the Atlanta panda cam is a black screen! Woof!

wvgal_dana said...

Andy sorry you had computer problems glad they are fixed.

Jo very glad blood work came out good.

I am going to Winchester tomorrow for Wellness Center lifeguard to put songs on my M3P player.

Got forms for Winchester Hospital for knee surgery. Called them they said while I'm up there tomorrow. Go ahead and get blood work and EKG. So that will work out good. Won't have to make extra trip. Still don't know time yet for surgery needs to get closer to date.

That blood work and EKG I'll have to get them to send copies to Dr. Carrier for colonoscopy for 12/14. That way don't have to re-do.

Ms Bookworm said...

Refreshed the panda cam, and now I have a picture, but it appears frozen. The timer is running, though. What about you guys?

wvgal_dana said...

Sorry Jim about poor Phoebe. Most thought those thorns would keep away predators.

Ms Bookworm said...

Wow, Dana,
Sounds like things are falling into place nicely for your knee surgery!
Speaking of "swim" music, whenever I think of being in a pool, it reminds me of my days in high school swim class. Do you remember the song "A Summer Place"? That's the one they used to play all the time.

wvgal_dana said...

Yes I like that song. They played old songs can't remember name but it has in it about roller skates and brand new key. lol

hedgie said...

Andy, cam seems to have a mind of its own! Maybe just so many viewers! Just keep refreshing and you'll get it!

Dana, blood work and sometimes EKG can't be older than 30 days for surgery. (Way back when in VA it was 24 hrs.) So you'll have to get it redone----but you could take order to City and have results sent to dr. in Winchester.

hedgie said...

Duh.....no since Carrier is HERE, just have his office order it come early Dec.!

wvgal_dana said...

Well then I'll just wait and go up so it will be within both the 30 days. I mean what is a trip to Winchester. I can make a lunch date with my two swim partners. Thanks for reminding me Lynn-Hedgie.

no link I called Atlanta Zoo and left message about panda cam not working right

wvgal_dana said...

I hope I don't regret where I just hung new bird feeder. Don't want bird do all over ramp. Hung it so while I am at computer here I can see feeder.

wvgal_dana said...

Is Lun Lun just washing herself?? Is the baby Ling Ling Ok????

Lynne2 said...

just heard eagle talking!

Judie said...

Will be departing soon to entertain the cops.

Lynn, take it easy.

Andy, glad you have your computer working again.

Jo, glad you blood work is okay and have fun with Alexis.

I think EKG, blood work has to be within 30 days for procedures/surgery.

BBL

hedgie said...

I don't know.....she is sure keeping it hidden. I assume that if they had any inkling that it wasn't alive or in trouble, they would intervene in some way........??????

Okay, Dana....that sounds like the best plan. Wait til around the 15th.

Judie said...

Lynne2 said...

never mind. I just realized that not only did I forget I turned sound down on our cam when the buzzing started, but I also had peeked at the Delta cam this morning and the sound is on there. It had to be an eagle there.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Lynne,
How are you today? Hope your knees aren't feeling too bad.

Ms Bookworm said...

I was thinking of you last night at Algebra class as my teacher told us about her backyard. She and her husband have 2 dogs--a German Shepherd and a Brittany--and they wanted to put in a veggie garden. They figured the 2 knucklehead dogs would dig it up, so they went to Home Depot and got all the supplies needed, and built a huge, long dog run in the yard to keep the dogs in their place, away from the garden.
Trouble was, the dogs were miserable in the run, and managed to make EVERYBODY know about it. So, they decided to put the garden IN the dog run, and let the dogs be loose in the backyard! The dogs are happy, the garden is protected from them, and so everybody's happy!
We were ROFL! Made me think of Daisy and Puddles.

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, guess it's time for the panda cam to be turned off for the night, anyway. Had a picture for a while, although a frozen one, but then it went black again. Bet they're just totally swamped with folks wanting to see the new baby.

Ms Bookworm said...

You don't think there's a problem with the little critter, do you? Sure hope it's doing OK.
