HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!

Good morning! Hope everyone is well.
I'm fine. LOL, Wanda----they wouldn't take my GB out because I DIDN'T have stones. Just intermittant inflammation, supposedly.
Doesn't hardly ever bother me now, but 15 yrs. ago was terrible. Seemed like 2 or 3 times a week I would have a flare-up!

Lynne, hope you didn't overdo on such a long walk!!

Andy, any special things planned for your day??

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
Back for just a couple of minutes. Did go get some breakfast. Thank you for the Birthday wishes!

Hoping and praying for good results for Judie's heart test today. Glad you can see the light at the end of the tunnel with the schoolwork! Afraid I will be doing some Algebra today, still. We were given a LOT of homework! It's hard to get it done on the weekend. Need to have almost total quiet so I can concentrate.

Ms Bookworm said...

Don't have anything planned for today--not yet, anyway. Hubby took me out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory on the weekend. YUMMY!

Glad you're feeling better today, Lynn!

My youngest daughter absolutely loves Cheesecake Factory. I've only been to one once---we don't have any around here. I betcha that your hubby will have something else planned for you today, Andy!!

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynn, their menu is so extensive that it takes forever to read all of it! The food is just fantastic, too--not to mention the cheesecake!

hedgie said...

Guess what I have planned for today? When it warms up a bit, I'm going to blow leaves! Duh---that was a no-brainer, right? ARGH!

Hubby isn't looking forward to it, Lynn but he is headed for the leaves this afternoon. I'm glad you are feeling up to it.

Shirley, I hope Susan's ear infection clears up soon. Can be as bad as a
tooth ache.

So if we're getting updates on LunLun, why isn't she on the cam???

Ms Bookworm said...

Golly, just checked the weather report for here in SoCal today. It's supposed to be 82 here in Anaheim today, but by Wednesday they're predicting mid-90s! Yuck.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Jo, can you send me the Atlanta Panda cam link? I am on our new laptop and it is lacking. Thank you!

Happy Birthday, Andy. Hope you have a fantastic birthday. Will have to tell you about my hs algebra teacher some time. Yikes!

Here is the deal...Laurel called a little while ago. Joey is heading to the hospital with his mom, Faye. Seems she was throwing up all night and her stomach is tender to touch. Gallbladder??? Anyway, I am headed to Denton early this afternoon to be there for the boys when they come home from school. Actually, I will walk to the corner and surprise them! Seems like the hardships in Denton continue. It is so hard to help them out being an hour away.

Lolly said...

Never mind, Jo. I got it, fast by googling.

Lolly said...

I have been sitting here laughing. I am in my recliner and Annie likes to get on the right arm of the chair and have me pet her. But, I am right handed and "trying" to use the mouse. She literally takes over my right hand...it is supposed to be petting her, not using the mouse! She is sitting on my right arm, rubbing her face on my right hand, saying pet me! So, I attempt to pet her with my left hand..this is all so awkward! LOL

Lolly said...

I have to get a move on! Will attempt to get some trailer cleaning done before heading to Denton.

Have a great day! And, please, more prayers for Faye and Denton family. Thanks!

hedgie said...

So sorry to hear that Faye is having more trouble, Lolly. Hope it's just a bug, and not something major. Could be GB, or appendix, or pancreas, etc.

LOL, I could never DO anything if I was sitting on the sofa with Cinnamon because she insisted that my hands be on her, too!

Jo, tell Ed that I bet I have more leaves than he does!!!

Mema Jo said...

Lolly, sure hope they can pin point Faye's current problem. The boys'
eyes are going to light up when they see who is on the street corner! What a surprise for them. I pray that maybe Laurel could find an after school care for the boys that doesn't bite into their pocket book. Something good will come out of all of this.

hedgie said...

Atlanta cam is now only giving me 1 mikn. of viewing time. ARGH! One time on Fri. I had it for 40 mins.!

Mema Jo said...

Lynn, how the heck are we going to know who has more leaves... I have 9 trees but some of the leaves are already over in the neighbors' yards.

Lynne2 said...

Judie is VERY NAUGHTY to put a S***MAN as her avatar.....and then run away from the blog!

Lolly, so sorry about new events with Faye. UGH. I know it must be hard to be that far away, but thankfully you are in a position, being retired, to help out as often as you can! Seeing you will just make the day for the boys!

Well, guess I better head out and plant my seeds! We spent all afternoon yesterday digging out a bigger garden area and doing other yard chores. Now all I have to do is plant my little seeds! And then back to the spare room nightmare....

Put pictures of our walk on my blog, and videos of Horrible and Rotten, too! Wish I could have gotten a picture of the Monarch but it was moving far faster than the Speed of Lynne!

This truly happened last night.

Ed's daughter was MEAN for Halloween last night. Turned her vehicle around she had grandchildren in. Two driveways from me. She could have drove past Fancy Filly is a circle!!!! Next door lady with her sisters said, "She did that just for spite so you couldn't see the grandchildren in their Halloween Costumes". She is right!!

Then Ed's sister walked down (she works leaves 1pm if Halloween hadn't been on weekend she is never here to give out candy but KNOWS I ALWAYS DO),walked down and said well I hardly seen you sitting or standing there taking up for Brenda. I said Marsha you have to see me I am under a street light you are just doing your usual "lieing or Brenda". So I said you take up your end and I'll
stay right here at mind. Cause you don't visit anyhow. Plus Cindy Ed's other daughter ran out of Marsha's got in car didn't make it out of driveway day I went up to Marsha's. Cause I wanted to see Jeanna she is pregnant and she is the daughter-in-law that lost baby full term with big blood clot in cord. They sent it away don't know why it happened. She was tested doesn't have the disease that can cause it. Marsha took up for Cindy that night too. These 2 girls are ages 42 and 44. Just plain "mean" which hurt Ed while alive. I can't image what he feels seeing them still act like this. Probably glad he isn't around to deal with their antics.

Need prayers for my 4 yr old Sophia to be very brave at City's ER and to heal without much of a scar on her precious cheek.
Max, black lab & probably 8 yrs old, was startled by Sophia as she plopped onto the couch where Max was resting.
He did attack her and Melissa had to
hit and pull him off of her. The 2 older boys saw this - Anthony immediately made Sophia a peanut butter/jelly sandwich and Joseph the wise one reminded his mom that her dream two nights ago about Max being killed was because God wanted to prepare her for having to put Max down. This little Hedgesville family really is - well don't know how to say it other then they got it all together.

Oh, Jo, that is awful. Poor little Sophia. Praying that the dr. is especially mindful that a little girl wants her face to grow up scar-free!! And that there is no damage below the surface. Good afternoon.

Well, the worst is over. Now all I have to do is wait for the complaints.lol

Margy, so happy to see Anne was able to return home. I wish her continued healing. As I am close by, please let me know if I can help in any way.

Halloween is over. Small number of goblins, total about 25. Lots of leftover candy to take to school tomorrow.

Lynn, hope the GB has calmed down. I continue to be amazed that no dr. even mentioned mine to me. I guess that will have to wait awhile. Probably explains occasion discomfort but no real pain, yet.

Had an ultrasound for my heart earlier. Tech couldn't say anything but did tell me if she had seen anything serious I would have had to wait until a cardiologist looked at the results. Results in a few days.

Lolly, glad Halloween was nice for all, especially the young boys. Also really happy that Annie was so happy to see you and Jack and there were no ill effects of being without you two.

Shirley, hope Susan is feeling better today.

Have missed much in the past two days. Hope I can continue to catch up.

Dana, very sorry about all the ugly behavior of family. Rise above them and remember you are not responsible for the behavior of others -- only yours.

Jo, prayer for Sophia. I know the drs. will try to make sure she comes out of this scar-free. Give her extra hugs from the momsters, please.

Judie said...

Oh, I forgot to say I hope no one stumbled or tripped over furry critters or furniture in the dark. Will remember to leave the night light on.

Lynne2 said...

oh Jo, I'm so sorry about Sophia. She must have been really scared when it happened. I hope she is OK. What a terrible situation...

Hey Judie! Nice to see you again!

Regarding the dogs digging....we have NO idea what they were going after! Puddles was very intense about it. She also dug several holes in the yard yesterday while we were all outside doing yardwork. I think Puddles is OCD, and Daisy is just a copy cat!

Lynne2 said...

Judie. What's with the S*****n?? LOL!

Mema Jo said...

Update - City ER in Martinsburg sent Sophia to Winchester Medical Center to a plastic surgeon. Probably have to put her to sleep to stitch her up. With facial wound, I am thankful they sent him down there. Sure is a lot of running around for a little gal - she'll be exhausted!

Lolly said...

Oh, poor little Sophia! Hope this does not make her terrified of dogs.

Well, I am home did not go after all. I was on my way as I left 15 minutes early to stop at the grocery store. Received a text from Laurel. Faye is in a room and Joey had gone on home. Said he would be there for the boys. Know they are going to need me later, so came on home.

Faye has a new cyst on her pancreas and her enzyme level is back up. Do not know what all this means, and do not know the plan.

I am home and now to get busy cleaning the trailer.

Judie said...

S_____n is to help speed us closer to Dec. and our royal couple getting serious about blessing us with eaglets. Besides, it was more than a little chilly today in these parts.

Lolly, so glad you are back home to help Laurel and the boys.

Jo, probably is best to have a surgeon for Sophia. She will be tired and I hope someone will stay nearby during the night.

Mema Jo said...

Her dad will probably sleep beside her.
Mom will have baby Marcus.
Hopefully plastic surgeon stitches won't leave much, if any,,of a scar.

I am done for the day. Got most of the areas done....one end of the house, 1/2 of the biggest mulch bed, and in front of the dog kennel out back yet to do. Big grassy areas can be done with mower IF I can get it started tomorrow. Hey, Mr. Bill.......!!! Calling for rain Weds.
Found one huge pin oak leaf that was a foot long from tip to end of stem and 8" across. If all the leaves were that big, it would be a breeze to blow!

Lynne2 said...

well, Jo, we had a very special person make that picture for us ;)

Hope Dana's Dr appt went well, I think I missed what she was going for today.

I have my yearly physical tomorrow. I think I'm gonna get yelled at.....

My heart goes out to little Sophia. I hope the good Lord is giving her lots of bravery today! I, as I am sure all of us Momsters, would love to give her a great big hug!

OK Judy, I have to agree that I too am very anxious for HP and eggs and successful breeding season for our birds this year! I am hoping there will be more than one this time!

Lynn, hope you didn't over do blowing leaves....

hedgie said...

Jo, it's very possible that they may even keep Sophia in the hospital overnight. Kids coming out of anesthesia can get pretty sick. Poor baby.

Lolly, that sure doesn't sound good about Faye.

hedgie said...

Forecast has changed....now rain not until Th. This is good!

hedgie said...

Lows in 20's tonight for most of the expanded metro area. Brrrr..... possible flurries Sat. Say it isn't so! Think I will be moving wood under the deck VERY soon and firing up the stove.

Lynne2 said...

Forgot to say that while we were outside yesterday, we had either 3 pairs of Redtail Hawks soaring over or the same pair 3 different times. AND, a RED Shoulder!! I saw what I believe to be a RS while walking the dogs one day last week. It was in the woods, flying into the trees. I hear one often, but sometimes have wondered if it's the bluejays imitating one!

Lynn, I hope you feel better.

Judie, good luck on those papers. I do hope you finish them quickly. For a part time job, you put in a lot of hours.

Lynne, you must be in really good shape to take on a three-hour walk.

Happy birthday, Andy. I hope you do not have too many algebra problems left to work.

Wanda, here is how I grab a picture from the live feed. I have downloaded a program called IrfanView. To get a picture from the live feed, I just hit the "print screen" key, then I bring up IrfanView and paste the picture there and save it under "my pictures." It helps to go to full screen first, of course, for the best view of the nest because it copies everything that's on your screen.

IrfanView is a free download: IrfanView.

I have to tell you I am enjoying being home. It is 68 and Jack and I just enjoyed our evening outdoors. LOL However a bee or a yellow jacket was giving us problems. Jack had a beer and I had a glass of wine. First we sat on the back patio, then we moved to the gazebo (because of the insect) then we moved to the front patio. Think we lost him there!

I have the trailer clean on the inside. Jack is making a few little repairs and then we will clean the outside and take it to its home.

Waiting to hear from Laurel on this evenings report on Faye. I have told Laurel she needs to call Faye's two sisters and tell them it would really help to have them come and stay with Faye if she has surgery. Laurel and Joey can NOT do it! Both of them need to stay with their work.

I had forgotten where it was. I knew it was somewhere, just not where. Fortunately, I did not need it last night, but I would have been more generous if I had had it.

Mema Jo said...

Talked with Kristen - They did sedate Sophia... Surgeon said she was a lucky little girl because there are 2 nerves in her face that were not touched. I'll find out more tomorrow - Michael will also send me some pictures of her.

They want to find a 'no kill' shelter for Max (Bad Black is his nickname)
or a rehab..... Max is a one man dog and he would be so good with a man or woman without children. They are making some calls.... MTBR

Judie said...

Jo, cardinals are among my most very favorite. They are first in the a.m. and last in the evening all year. Have a male that arrives if I whistle and is always so happy to have a peanut.

Also, Jo, I didn't mean to imply that no one would be with Sophia during the night. Fingers got ahead of my thoughts. I know you would want to be there.

Um, Jo seems to be speaking a foreign language. Gwad youse wiked ze kardzinal betwer zan shnowperson.

Seriously, I understand, Sophia will be home tonight. I wish her a comfortable night of sleep.

Sure hope the dog is given a second chance. Even humans can be seriously startled from a deep sleep.

Lolly, do hope that Faye's sisters will step up, at Joey's urging, and help out. It is unreasonable to have Laurel carry the bulk of responsibility given her work and family responsibilities.

Lynn, glad you got some leaves rearranged to suit your outdoor decor. Take it easy, though.

Okay, off to some t.v. BBL

stronghunter said...

I hope they can find a home for Max. A sad situation.

Lynne2 said...

JO, I'm sorry that Max will have to be rehomed because of the situation. My sister in law works with a lab rescue, and I'd be happy to contact to her to see if she can help. I would also be happy to contact my dog trainer as well...she can possibly help with finding a place for him. I'm afraid it may be difficult to place him because of his age, and because he has bitten, and not to mention that the amount of animals in shelters and rescues has likely never been so high because of the economy.
Just one more thing as they search for a "no kill" place....what happened in the WV horse situation, and with what happened regarding the "cat lady", I just caution that some rescues are NOT what they say they are.
Please let me know if there is anything I can help with.

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Lynne - I understand what you are saying.

Laurel called. Joey is getting up early to be at the hosp about 5. The doctor comes in really early. Looks like they are probably going to do surgery to remove her gallbladder and the cyst. She did not have a cyst before and the cyst was probably caused by the pancreas being stressed.

I am on alert to go up there at any time they need me.

Lolly said...

Oh, you will love the Christmas show. Be sure to get a drink in one of their "leg" glasses with the stirer that lights up!

Lolly said...

And, going with your son like I did. That is just so great!

Judie said...

Well, I see Lynn is headed for the tub so I best turn on the night light so she won't stumble when she returns.

Healing prayer for little Sophia.

Wishing everyone a good night's restorative sleep. Will join you all again tomorrow after I return from the big school house.

Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for those headed to the tub, back the hallway, coming in from school (or wherever). The sandperson has arrived.

Goodnight everyone.

Late Hello Sweet Eagle Friends...
I am sorry for being MIA ...
lots of family phone calls and emails and some other things in between

I know only this much from very quick scan of earlier posts...sweet little SlugBunny Sophia had a mishap, and I so very much hope and pray that all will be well with her and all the family
...I'll read backwards soon and try to get updates on everything else

also:

Happy Birthday dear Andrea....sure hope it has been, and will continue to be a wonderful, glorious day

magpie said...

I don't know that bird Lolly but it is spectacular !

Lolly said...

Whoops! Never mind. I found it. It is a Caracara or Mexican Eagle. Interesting looking bird.

Lolly said...

Thanks for trying, though! All I had to do was open my books. lol Very easy to identify.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,
Dropping in to say goodnight. Other than doing a few chores around the house, had a purposefully lazy day. Want to thank all of you for your Birthday wishes, cards, and songs. You are a fantastic group of people, and I love you all dearly! Don't know what I'd do without you! God bless each and every one of you.

Just got through talking to our daughter, Jen, and our Son-in-law, Marq. They called to wish me a Happy Birthday. Sure was good to talk to them.

Was so sorry to read about Sophia!
Prayers for her swift and complete healing. Prayers that she won't have any psychological scars, either. Pray that a good home can be found, if necessary, for Max, too.

Prayers for Faye, too. Hope all works out well in that situation.

Crested Caracara

© 2004 Cornell Lab of Ornithology
A tropical falcon version of a vulture, the Crested Caracara reaches the United States only in Arizona, Texas, and Florida. It is a bird of open country, where it often is seen at carrion with vultures.

It looks like an immature. It's pretty!

Ms Bookworm said...

Lolly,
You just beat me to it! My book says it is a Crested Caracara. A really pretty and unusual bird, for sure.

paula eagleholic said...

Time for bed here, catch ya'll tomorrow.

Hugs to all ♥

Ms Bookworm said...

Thanks, Margy!
It is indeed a good day! Thank you for your Birthday wishes. Good to see you here, by the way!

I will be so glad when Election Day is over. Our phone has been ringing just about non-stop today with all kinds of recorded messages.
I'm grateful we have caller ID!

Lolly said...

One of my books says Caracara and the other says Crested Caracara. Must admit I have never seen one, It was seen on the beach where we go every summer. Jerri, my cousins daughter, and her hubby and little boy love the cabin Laurel and boys stay in.

Ms Bookworm said...

Well, it's back-to-school tomorrow. Since I'm going to have to make a fairly early start in the morning, think I'm going to call it a night, too. Judie, thanks for turning on the night light. I'm turning on the porch light. Have said prayers for everyone. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are both enabled. Sleep well, everyone, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight!
Love all of you! :o]

Lolly said...

Jerri and I have been commenting back and for on fb about the picture. She is excited to have it identified. She said she watched a pair that were "dining" on something. They are carrion eaters.

Interesting, Paula. Jerri told me she thought she had a picture of the pair of Caracaras and would post it.

Cold here this morning, but not like you are having. 55 and we have the house wide open. lol Made for good sleeping. I slept past 8. It is not supposed to warm up today and possible rain.

Have not heard from Joey this morning. So do not know the plan for Faye.

Good Voting Day Morning!

Thanks for all the prayers for Sophia's comfort - I think they worked well. I'll get more update later & let you know.

Checking out Lun Lun but nothing news worthy yet.

The little owl are hooting away.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE...
It is 37° and sunny here in Nestville, going up to 52°. We did have a killing frost last night:(
No more tomatoes...soon, we will be eating those tasteless, expensive ones from the store:(

Hope to hear from Jo that sweet Sophia had a restful night and can come home today and be with her family:)

Lynn, Karla sent me a photo of the sunrise at OBX this morning...check it out on Just For Fun...so peaceful looking. Hope things work out for you, so that you can be there and view that sunrise often!

Soup Kitchen today, so I will be busy there most of the day.
Enjoy this beautiful Fall weather.

Mema Jo said...

Lynn - I love the little hedgehog pic.

When we turn the clocks back - maybe I will get up at 8:30am! Wow! Not quite an early bird!

hedgie said...

It sure is a beautiful sunrise, Wanda. Thnx! Only mornings I woke up early enough to see the sunrise when we were down it was foggy! I sleep SO well at the beach!!

wvgal_dana said...

Oh I am so excited I forgot to tell you all.

When I went to my new Dr. yesterday Dr. James Carrier and I really like him. The girls were talking about they had turned the calendars because it is now November. The room they took me into the calendar wasn't changed so I changed it and here is truly what was written and I know it was mean't to be: not a link

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect and all his ways are just." Boy me saying the other day I am PRAYING for God to each Brenda and Cindy. This calendar message just confirmed I'm right in what I am doing ( :
God is so GOOD !

Andy I picked up my new glasses today. We might just be able to do without the thumbprint scanner for me. I think my eyes without the plugs in are ok---so far so good not dripping. New glasses should also help. Hay I'm getting back to joining the human race again LOL

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Everyone!

Slept in a little later this morning, so looks like I missed the royal couple.

Certainly hope that little Sophia had a good night's sleep, and will get to come home today.

Prayers for Faye, and for the probable surgery this morning. Hope all goes extremely well, and that she recovers quickly.

Need to get going here. Have to drop off my absentee ballot at the polling place. I don't trust the snail mail system to get it there in time. Polling place is only a couple of blocks away, so no problem.

Hoping that Shirley's day at school goes well. Parent/Teacher meetings are so important and helpful!

wvgal_dana said...

Hedgie you can go online at Cheesecake Factory and order.

There is one in Baltimore. We could all load up go to the aquarium and see Ceil and eat at the Cheesecake Factory. ( :

Phoebe has laid a second egg. Still working on the nest too.

We are heading into another Santa Ana condition. It's supposed to be like a desert here for a few days and then we'll have some more rain.

Lynn,
Thanks for the bear report. Quite interesting, and I like the picture of Jo the bear sticking her tongue out! LOL :oD

Hi, Dana,
Wow, I'm glad your new glasses are working well for you. That's great!
Also love the way the Lord gave you the scripture on the calendar. There's no doubt, is there, that He still talks to us!

Well, better go get presentable and hit the road. Much to do today at school, too, so need an early start. Will check back in as often as I am able. Have a good day, everyone, and if you haven't already, DON'T FORGET TO VOTE! Later, alligators. :o]

Mema Jo said...

This morning I am getting 5 min on the Panda Cam.. Not too much going on but I think Lun Lun is getting anxious for this little cub to make an appearance.

Dana - it is such good news about your eye sight improvement. I also believe that God sends messages in the strangest places at times when you're not even expecting it.

Mema Jo said...

ROFLMBO Andy - I'm so thankful you specified the Jo you were speaking about! (It's Me Bear)

Mema Jo said...

Heading for the Street clothes and see what I can get into today... no ideas right now!

wvgal_dana said...

Somehow I am not finding a calendar that Wanda is suppose to have. Someone wrote about it in comments.
Where oh where can it be???

Then someone mentioned in comments about a picture of Jo sticking her tongue out at the bear????
Where oh where can that be????

Oh! Now I remember what I wanted to tell you all....

The movers are packing up Christine's Household Goods today in Germany!
You know what that means - the kids
are getting closer to coming home !!

wvgal_dana said...

Andy I haven't picked up new glasses yet. Do that today. The improvement in eyes not dripping water. Now that one plug fell out and I told him to take the other out. Is GOD'S DOING the eyes just stopped after over a year of dripping. Again God is GOOD!! Maybe took him awhil to answer that prayer but HE KNOWS WHY HE WAITED and that is all I care about is HE DID IT!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Is anybody seeing Lib in the nest? They were both there, Belle ate some fish and now Lib is left!

hedgie said...

Dana, the calendar mention was about the one that Wanda made last year and some won at the raffle at '09 OH.
The bear sticking out its' tongue is my Bear Update link--Jo the bear.

Saw your cam post on FB, Shar! SO glad you caught it!

Jo, I just can't imagine how Christine is going to manage for over a month without household goods......?????

hedgie said...

Andy, what is up with the absentee ballot? Confused!

Mema Jo said...

And now they are both gone! :(
I missed them because I was back
getting my street clothes...
Our royal couple is starting to appear
more and for eating in the nest -Whoo
Hoo! That is a good sign
I pray we have a good season of little
eaglets!

Lolly said...

Sounds good to me, Jo! I hurried over but missed the royal pair. We are about to split again. Glad I am not using the phone now to blog. It is a huge pain to scroll for so long.

Have voted and now to work on the house. We just moved stuff in, now to store away and straighten. Still have to clean the outside of the trailer but it too cold to get wet today.

And, I want you all to know that I was thrilled that I only gained 4 pounds on that 5 week trip of eating gloriously and lots of wine with meals. But, I am going on a diet to loose 10 lbs. Holidays are coming up!!!

Have not heard from Joey. Think I will give him a call.
