Good morning. Shirley I had not seen the moose video. What a beautiful way to wake up and see them playing in the water. Little one said come on mom look what I found. Have a great day.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... It's a gloomy morning here in Nestville. Only 40° and not expected to get any warmer than 57°...tomorrow will be around 65°, perfect for mowing grass.
MARGY, the potatoes and ramps were absolutely delicious...the ramps were 'Spring fresh' and mild in flavor. You can add just about any left-over meat that you may have, except chicken (don't think that would taste right). We had them just plain this time...yum! THANK YOU for sharing♥

The mention of bird calls (and some of you are really good at recognizing the calls) reminded me of the Sidney nest. There are so many sounds coming from that nest.

Paula, still only one dogwood in bloom. Have always heard people talk about males and females....researching it right now....it's true!!! Happy to hear that Ajay and Gianni did well last night. Paula the pics are too beautiful for words! Sorry to hear GG went through some tough times but her family sure makes her smile. Loved the photos Wanda. PU/D Cake - is it really all gone! You must have had company if it is. I can't tell if that nasty plastic bag is still there off to the side BUT at least it isn't right in the nest. I don't like to watch the sibling rivalry - Reminds me of 'Pecking Pearl'.
I am headed to Shepherdstown but not until 4:00 so I am going to miss seeing Megan at the Market. Bridal shower is being held at the Mellow Moods - PJ and Shanna will close a little early to accommodate the group gathering of family & friends. It is going to be a fun time.
Year 2008 3 eaglets hatched and fledged.. Pecking Pearl was one and Tiny, the youngest, was the one she picked on. Someone fill in the blanks I have left - like the name of the 3rd one cause I CRS......... sometimes.
Happy Sunday Everyone!!! I see we have a whale in the nest for Sunday breakfast, lunch, & dinner!!!! Great Baby pics, Paula & nice new pics, Wanda. Hope GG is feeling better this week. You guys are so thoughtful & generous w/family & soup kitchen. Last night I watched the EENet cams & got to see the lesser spotted eagles do HP on a branch! They've been nestorating. The tawny owl is in it's tree hole, & Linda, the w-t eagle looked like she would get blown out of the nest.In awhile we should see the wild boar "piglets". Saw some pics from last year & they are yellow & brown striped & running all over!
I mean, personal leaning post - was that the expression "PLP?" - my mother used to say that.
Palmer was leaning back and "preening" against parent's breast - so cute. Now just napping near parent (Belle or Lib, I'm not sure, I'm not able to tell them apart - and earlier post said Belle flew off).
Sitting up pretty after a big poop shoot. THought he was going to go for the wushi for a minute, but guess it was just all prep to the PPS position. Wonder if birds urinate, too?
Maybe that was the prey at RTH that we saw earlier at the back. I don't see the bag at all. And it did only look like 2 chicks...has anyone been able to see 3 at all?
Well, GDub lost to Princeton, as usual. Still, it was nice to see my kidlets try hard.
Took a few minutes to watch Palmer having an after lunch snack and now sleeping.
Also watched RTH for about 15 minutes and I only saw two wrasslin a bit and being cleaned up. Think there is a third, as Paula said, but what I thought was #3 didn't move at all. Also cannot tell if the white thing is the bag or not.
Jo, know you've headed for Shepherdstown and hope you are having a great time at the shower.

If that's the transmitter that is going on Noah's chest, then I will have to figure out what that rectangle is on his back. Maybe that's part of the transmitter too.

I have an excellent live feed pic of Belle eating and feeding Palmer....
Hello my fine eagle momsters and dadsters. My computer has been and is still sick. I've been keeping up with our eagles with Sharon, of course. Hope you all are making a good day.
Hi, Everyone, Things have been fairly quiet around here. Got to talk to the kids on the cell phone today. They're getting rain in the Dallas area. Was really good to hear from them. Everything's OK in their part of the world.
Beautiful day here in SoCal. About 75 degrees and sunny.
Thanks, Paula, for the Noah video. He/she really is a gorgeous eagle! Being so patient, too, while being fitted with the transmitter.
Well, have some stuff I gotta go do. Will BBL to say howdy! Hope you're having a nice evening. :o]
Well shucks, I am disappointed. I went out shopping for sheetz. I thought I had made a really good buy. I got a quilt, some shams, and sheets that were very nice and in a matching color.
I came home and took them out of the bag thinking how nice it would be to sleep on new sheets tonight when I saw that I had bought king sized sheets for my queen sized bed. I have gotten tired of having to wash and dry the sheets on the bed before I could re-make the bed, and was also tired of the old sheets.
Oh well, the old sheets are in the washer now. And I do have a nice, new quilt. It is the right size. I do have to change the bed more often when I have a cat sleeping there. Gets a little fuzzy after awhile.
Tried on lots of outfits, but did not buy new ones this time.
I see Palmer snuggling with mom.
Enjoyed the Noah video. She has really grown. Yes, she was patient with those humans messing with her. Thanks for the link, Paula.
Plant sex and bird urination? Golly!
I have a white dogwood in my backyard. It has a few blooms. The pink one in the front has more. The first year the white one had no blooms, and I wondered if it might be a male plant. I will have to read the article Lynn posted when I decide my brain is ready to tackle it.
Palmer was not interest in more fish. Belle is crunching up the nest. More greenery shows up on the left side. I never saw that come in. Must have been Lib that brought it.
Hello all! Just home from weekend at MIL's house in the coldest, windiest city in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, where in fact there were SNOW SHOWERS this morning!
WOOOO HOOO Palmer has grown in the last 3 days!!!
I hope everyone is well, please someone tell me if there is anything I need to pray for. No way I'll catch up on the blog at this point!
My bluebirds had an egg in the nest Friday morning!!! Tonight I checked and mama was on the nest...she didn't even fly out when I opened to check! Can't see how many eggs..will have to check again tomorrow.
Saw some meadowlarks!! First time I've ever seen them!
We had a very productive weekend of wall paper removal, spackling, painting, fence painting and repair....MIL hopes to have the place on the market in a few weeks. I'm sure gonna miss it....what a beautiful home and grounds it is!
Gotta unpack...I hope everyone had a great weekend!
OH...Daisy was pretty much well behaved all weekend on her first "mountain trip"!
CONGRATULATIONS PAULA!!! I see your Granddaughter has arrived! What amazing news!!!! Hope it was and uncomplicated labor and delivery. Love the name...I have a niece named Gianna.
My MIL will likely be moving to the Eastern Shore ultimately. Closer and without the major weather events that prohibit travel in the winter. Looking forward to the move, but really, I'm going to miss their place in WV. It's just so beautiful there! It would be nice if they could keep it for a "summer home".
Hello - I really did have a fun afternoon/early evening! Many wonderful presents for the bride to be.
Checking out the cams - RTH was just feeding -their tummies are filled and seem to be sleeping now .. Great pic from Lisa about BlackWater eaglets' growth ..
Paula, do you have the date for Open House in October? We are getting ready to make our plans for our trip. Going to be gone approx 5 weeks. Can hardly wait!
Shirley, sorry your sheetz don't fit -- maybe a visit to Sheetz would help -- I think I recall there is a Sheetz store in Shepherdstown. Jo can give you directions.
Paula, so happy you had another visit with Gianna. Pictures are always welcome.
Jo, glad you had a good time and the bridal shower was a success.
Early day tomorrow as I am headed to the big school house for extra office hours. So, turning my light off but wishing everyone a pleasant evening and sweet eagle dreams.

Palmer is in the nest cup. Yesterday Palmer picked up some fluff and added it to the cup. Too cute.
Another show of green on the nest.
The sun is up now at the OR nest. There is no snow.
Oh no problem, BEagle.
We love watching the moosecam when it's on.
When is a good time to check on the moose? September?
The mention of bird calls (and some of you are really good at recognizing the calls) reminded me of the Sidney nest. There are so many sounds coming from that nest.
I am sure some are frogs.
I think she turns on the cam a little later than that sometimes, BEagle. It depends upon when the moose start coming through.
Palmer is 4 weeks old today!!
Sidney mom just got off the chick.
Flapping her wings a lot. So what do you suppose the chick does?
Flaps its little wings. You got it.
The RTH chicks just got sat upon.

How are you dogwoods? Mom's were out.
Here's are all 'wild'
I have seen the PH chicks eating 3 times already this morning!
So Lib is like "Okay, here I am, with this big wushi, and no one is paying any attention...so what do I do now?""
That fish was moving. Lib probably had a tussle with that one.
Okay, Pops, take over, I'm outta here!! Belle poofs.
Belle just flew over Palmer to the right side, then up into the tree.
Lib still there with the wushi
Look how fluffed up he is...cute shake there :)

If Lib wanted attention, he may have to wait awhile.
I think he is waiting for the fish to stop moving.
Yumm. Scrambled eggs with Texas Pete.
Skim milk. Bleeeccchhh!
Would like a piece of pineapple upside down cake.
It must be Lib that brings the greenery in. It's always near the dinner table.
Lib may have had to fly against that wind to get to nest and with a tough wushi.
Maybe that's why he was panting.
The fish has stopped moving.
LOL, I just saw a fin flap!

Both Hornby eagles visible at nest
So is that prey to the right of the RTH mama?
Lynn, they don't urinate. It all comes out in the poop shoot.
that looks like birdie feet, on the prey that I mentioned at the RTH nest...read their blog, them mention they eat mostly pigeons at that nest.
Now for a brief pause.
I does look like food next to RTH.
And who knows what it is. Looks to have feathers on it.
Palmer is meandering over to the mangled fish.
It does look like a pigeon.
Oh shoot.

It could be way in the back beyond the nest.
The TH chicks are getting fed a pretty stiff fish. Couldn't see the chicks with the mom in the way but I did see a poop shoot flying out.
They don't have Palmer's manners on how to do it right.
The PH duo are waiting patiently at the supper table. Oh, maybe not so patient. One just punched the other.
Thanks, Lolly. The thing on the right is dinner...

The man with the transmitter kept saying "he."
Belle is feeding Palmer more wushi right in front of the cam.
Quick visit before heading to the kitchen. Cole slaw and chicken tenders tonight.
BEagle, I did hear the older man say she when talking about Noah.
Okay, BBL

i GOT to sleep very late, woke up earlier, had cereal ... no coffee, went back to bed, had a nice long Panda nap. Now I'm up and feeling better, but it's almost time for dinner!
Oh, well. Maybe it'll break the monotony.
I have an excellent live feed pic of Belle eating and feeding Palmer....
How's everything with you folks??

Jim
Palmer has finished eating and Belle took off. Palmer keeps messing with the green leaves, and working really hard to get the fluff around.
Okay. I listened to it twice but never heard she. Will try again later.
Noah IS a very beautiful bird.
Belle is back on the nest, in the cup, or at least trying to share the cup with Palmer.
Hello my fine eagle momsters and dadsters. My computer has been and is still sick. I've been keeping up with our eagles with Sharon, of course. Hope you all are making a good day.
How old is your computer and what's it so sick about?
Hi Movin
Everything is great.
BEagle, it is a little over a year and the warranty was/is still good. Only good by five days though, thank goodness.
Hi, Everyone,
Things have been fairly quiet around here.
Well I sure hope the computer company takes real good care of fixing it.
Little ones being fed at RTH. They are so cute, but OMG that nest is a mess!
Good evening!
Poop shoot from Palmer! Impressive!
Palmers incoming feathers are causing a lot of scratching.
All are on the nest.
Belle nudged Lib. He took off. This is a sushi fish that Lib brought in.
Looks like trout. Very good. Maybe the oils will soothe Palmer's skin.
Not sure how to find the RTH cam.
I guess Palmer is doing nestorations.
Shirley, I just sent you the link
RTH chicks pecking at each other 4-16-10
Palmer was not interest in more fish.
Belle is crunching up the nest. More greenery shows up on the left side. I never saw that come in. Must have been Lib that brought it.
Those little RTH rascals. Making the headlines.
Ornery rascals.
The RTH chicks are subdued right now. Saw a PS. Took the mom by surprise.
Wonder what would happen if mom took off for a moment.
Thank you, Mits. I had seen that nest a few days ago, but didn't know it was the same one, and had not saved the link.
It is the one that had the plastic bag.
Thanks for the pecking video, too. They are aggressive little ones.
Howdy...I'm back.
Had an awesome visit at the hospital w/ kids and GD. Ate some dinner, then passed Gianni around...she was awake for about 1 1/2 hours...
It was a nice, quiet visit, just the 4 of us :)
I envy you, Paula.
Your baby pictures from earlier are so sweet.
We are not too far from another split.
Lynne - sounds like a productive weekend for sure. Is your MIL going to be moving closer to you?
Sounds really nice, Paula. Did you get more pictures of lil Miss Gianni?
Thanks, Shirley! I have more, LOL. Ya'll will get sick of seeing Gianni pictures!
and I forgot to put the Tball pics ups from last weekend, better get that done!
Which reminds me, I had to download Picasa again...
That video of the RTH chicks was a hoot!!! Was that the plastic bag in the front??? Argh!
Lynne, glad your trip was pleasant and that you accomplished so much.
Sorry your sheets didn't fit, Shirley!
Paula, do you have the date for Open House in October? We are getting ready to make our plans for our trip. Going to be gone approx 5 weeks. Can hardly wait!
Lolly....is it still raining??? Will they get the races in tomorrow??
OK, posted just a couple of pics from tonight :)
http://paulasprints.blogspot.com/
Lolly, I would guess Open House would be Oct 16th
oh I almost forgot....along 70 and 68 the Redbuds were AMAZING!!! Hundreds and hundreds of them in full bloom!!! That site alone was worth the trip!

WOW, Lynne, guess they were REALLY amazing, ;)
Gonna split!!
OK, just had to do this :)
Posted the eagle pics from TV on my Lair!
Aw, Paula, we don't mind a bit!!!
Lynne, blogger cop must like redbuds, too!!
