You are right,
that was not a smart criminal.
We had a case here a few years ago, guy breaks into a house, gathers up some booty, but before he leaves, he cannot resist checking his Facebook account on the victim's home computer...well guess what, he forgot to log out!
Case Closed !
Items recovered, bad guy arrested.

Afternoon all - YAY, it's the weekend!!!

Thanks Steve, for a new thread and Margy for the call over.

Shar, will be sending positive energy your way that your medical news on the 31st is good!

Kay, how wonderful to hear you say you are starting to feel better, and are even walking Malcolm!! Sorry to hear about Sammy - we are just hopeful that we'll know when it's the right time for Bandit.

Shirley, I bet you're getting really frustrated that there's no hammering happening at your house yet! I hate homeowners insurance companies!

Sure would love to hear good news about Dennis and Michael today!

Later all!

Amazing, Margy.

Michael's dad and brother, Charlie, visited today in the early afternoon.
Michael was in PT and then OT. PT was the exercising of the left leg.
He still wears a boot for the break but on the 29th he will go back to the dr at UMMC to have an X-ray of the foot. As of now he isn't to put any weight on that foot. They were mainly doing foot lifts.
He was bright eyed and smiling to see them. Michael was still in his wheelchair when they left as he was being taken to get a CT. They are working with him to build up his strength and we know that the road to recovery is going to be long but with so many prayers and positive thoughts for him it will happen.
Ronnie Nail, his Credo brother will visit this evening and then tomorrow
his niece, Claire with Kelly will add some sunshine to his day ♥

I have had a productive day and really need to go shower and shampoo the hair! I mowed, edged, and used the blower. Then helped Jack harvest more pecans. Lots of bags of pecans hanging suspended from the rafters of the shop. Pretty sight! Jack will start shelling in about a month after they have dried.
Then we bag and freeze the shelled pecans. Have been giving away pecans we still have from 3 years ago. Need to clean out the freezer. Laurel still has some in her freeer. She will give them as gifts to the boys teachers. She does this every year.

Have watched the Great Dane sight off and on today. 8 pups! They are all so cute.

Judy, whenever I am home with my laptop it connects automatically. Take it on trips but when I come home it is ready to go. Never turn off the wifi.

Sandi said...

Jo, thanks for the Michael update. One day at a time - he's in good hands at Kernan!

Just finished drafting my 2nd IEP of this school year! That's 2 down and 16 more to go!! Two more to write in the next 2 weeks, but they'll be a little less complicated than these first two.

Pizza time, then some TV (if I can stay awake)!! Probably won't be back on til tomorrow morning so goodnight all!

JudyEddy said...

the reason I mentioned it the cable guy said something that way no one can drive by and use your wifi if you left it open I guess a guy on the beach in a condo was accused of child pron but it wasn't him it was someone using his connection that was on a boat out in the harbor.
Missy at work told me she can use her neighbors she is in a condo and it picks it up I guess Just un sure of things wanting to stay safe

Eagle was at Decorah but looks to have left the branch it was on

Sandi said...

Judy, you don't have to turn your wifi off, just password protect it so no one else can use it, unless you give them the password. I called Mediacom once b/c our internet seemed slow. He said, think of your network as a highway. With no password protection, you get a lot of cars (computers) on your highway (network) which slows down the traffic (your internet speed). That's when I stopped leaving our network open.

JudyEddy said...

he did give me a pass word when he logged in he said its a password you will never for get homephone# thats what he logged in with on my computer so I guess you would have to have my password to access it even if I am on it??????? Just a guess

Lolly said...

Ours is password protected. Joey has had his laptop here and could not get on without the password.

Same when I take my laptop to their house...have to use their password.

Good Friday Evening!

Dennis is home once again and healing!

Wednesday turned into an awful night, at least initially.

We waited all day Wednesday for the "emergency surgery" worrying that the ureter would close up yet again while fluid continued to drain out the hole where his kidney tube was. They took him back twice and changed dressings and clothes before they could keep him in a room to wait for surgery.

The hospital was short on anesthesiologists in the late afternoon and evening. The doctor was ready, there were operating rooms available, but there weren't enough anesthesiologists!! They also had a couple trauma cases come in that bumped Dennis' surgery.

Until..........Dennis all of a sudden started having insanely intense pain on his right side. It was like a rerun of the Monday night the week before. Nothing would work on the pain and spasms. The doctor was pretty upset that he couldn't get an OR and before too long things started to happen. The anesthesiologist came over and gave something to Dennis to basically knock him out. They took him to surgery shortly thereafter.

Surgery took over two hours and without getting into too much detail, the surgeon had to do all sorts of work to get the old stent out and a new one in.

Finally after all of that he came out of surgery and was feeling much better. They kept him overnight to be sure he wouldn't hve any more problems and I was finally able to take him home last night, which was his Birthday!!

We are both exhausted and did catch up a little on some sleep last night. It may take a few days to get back into the swing of things again!

He goes back Monday to get his catheter out, two weeks after that for an IVP (which involves intravenous dye infected through the urinary tract under radiology), and then another surgery to take the stent out.

Hopefully we are on the road to recovery and won't experience any more problems along the way. It has really been so tough on Dennis.

I wanted to make this short, but obvioulsy did NOT do so!!

Lolly said...

OMG, Linda, this just goes on and on. Poor Dennis, it has been tough on him, for sure! Prayers continue!!!

So happy to read the daily updates of Michael's rehabilitation and am continuing to pray that he meets his goals. The progress has been amazing! God is good!

Praying for special blessings on the whole Wright family as they gather for a happy celebration!! Thanking God that while tragedies do happen in life, there is much joy as well. May the joy of this wedding help the whole family to heal.

KAY - So happy to hear you are making progress, however slowly. Seeing light at the end of the tunnel surely helps!

LORI - Where are you?? Any results on your recent tests? Worried about you and love you......

LYNNE2 - I know you must be going through some really rough adjustments and I want you to know you are in my prayers...... xoxo

I'll do my best to watch Tom Sweetie tonight on Blue Bloods and if not, I will tape it. It has such special significance, even more so, since he was Lynn'e favorite!!

Wishing you all a relaxing evening and sweet sleep!

Hi, Everyone,

Wow, it's taken a while to get caught up on what's happening!

SOOO glad to see the good news about Michael, and absolutely thrilled that Dennis finally had his surgery and is home now!! A belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Dennis, too!

Kay, that is FANTASTIC news that you are finally feeling better!!
It's about time!

Sorry to see that Judie had a rough week--sure hope things get better, pronto!

Sharon, praying for a good outcome for you!!! Will be anxious to hear of your test results! Hang in there!

Sorry to hear that dear Sammy has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs and prayers for the entire family!

Have been extremely busy this week trying to do some housecleaning!
Making some progress, but still lots to do. Never a dull moment!

Need to ask for prayers for a dear friend of ours, who is depressed over a breakup with her significant other. Hoping that she will seek professional help again--the last psychologist she went to said she didn't need help! Oh my!!!
(Don't get me started about THAT one!) Thank you in advance for your prayers.

It is cooler here today, and is supposed to be better still over the weekend, and into next week--FINALLY!!! Miss Emma has perked up considerably! She spent the afternoon playing "soccer" with her tennis balls in the hall. That makes me an extremely happy camper! She's so cute--she carries one tennis ball in her mouth, and maneuvers two others with her feet, while running the length of the hall, full-speed! She's really quite good at it.LOL

Shirley, hope they start fixing your house VERY soon, before the weather back there gets any worse!
Gracious!

Good to hear from Delphia! Hope your health keeps improving, and the problems you have continue to get better. Prayers continue for you!

Well, think I'm going to call it a day. Have said prayers for everyone, for every creature, and for all our furbabies. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, and SED. God bless, and goodnight.
I love all of you!

Good Saturday Morning!!!

Went to take a nap yesterday and slept for 5 hours!!! I think it's the accumulation of not enough sleep during the week, then on Fridays I just pass out! I can't wait until the time change and it starts getting lighter a little earlier! Or is it the other way around?

SANDI. I'm sure tennis is on your agenda this morning, so I hope there's no rain out your way. Prayers for Bandit. How's he doing?

LINDA, I'm so sorry to hear about all the trouble you and Dennis have been through. What a medical nightmare! You've been in my prayers and will stay there until all is well again. My best to Dennis! Big hugs!!!

MARGY! Happy Friday!!! Are you still in the big house?

I love reading the updates on MICHAEL, seems like he is making some real progress!

JO, how are you feeling? I know this is a tough time for you, but want to be sure that you are taking good care of yourself! ♥

WANDA, congratulations on the wedding this weekend. I'm sure there will be some healing in there, as well. Loved your face plant the other night. Hope you're okay and have a great weekend!

LOLLY, did you finish your baby blanket while you were on your trip? Did I miss a picture of it?

HODA-MISS-YOGA, what's on your dance card this weekend? Tell me you're not doing an 8 hour yoga class! LOL

KAY - YAY, you're feeling better and even walking Malcolm. I'm so happy for and proud of you!!! Big, gigantic HUGS!!!

SHIRLEY, I felt so bad for you yesterday about hearing the hammers next door and no work at your house. Have they done anything, yet? How is Pepsi?

JANET, loved the pics of Livvy on your blog and so happy she's been moved up!!!

JUDYE, I always get confused on wifi. I need to figure out how to put a password on it, too. Thanks for the reminder!

DANAMO, Glad to hear your Dad is doing so well! He must be some character to be going through chemo and working on refinishing your project!

THELMA, how is your BIL doing? I think of them daily doing that long drive. That's so much stress!

PAULA, have a great weekend in paradise! You deserve it! Treats for Nick, please. :)

SHARON, prayers for you on your medical tests. I know the feeling! ♥

I won't know the outcome of my tests until I meet with the Doctor and that won't be until after a colonoscopy (YUCK) Dec 3. I do need to call this special number for her and get the results of my upper endoscopy next week.

Good morning my eagle peeps.

The Southern Delegation has already had some excitement this morning. Our neighbor's Pit Bull had gotten out of their fence. We're not sure if that would be a bad thing for our dogs or not. I think Buphals is the only one that would "make a new friend." Sharon and Justin corralled it back into it's yard. It appears to not be a dangerous dog. It was afraid of Justin and Eagle Eye. There is trash out all the way across the road. Buddy's not the guilty one for a change.

Sandi said...

Good "gonna be a be-u-tee-ful Saturday" morning Lori, Thelma, and all my eagle friends!

Have been outside trying to find the GHO that is in one of the trees on the lot adjacent to our house. I could hear him very close but couldn't find him.

Lori, I'm with ya on the not liking it dark when I wake up! But once we fall back on Nov. 3/4, then it will get dark so early in the afternoon! I just don't like this time of year that we're coming into! November and December are OK b/c of the holidays but after that, I'm pretty sad until April!

Looks like a fabulous day for the Wright family wedding! Will be thinking of all of them - wonder what time?

Prayers continue for healing for Michael, Dennis, Dana's dad, and Thelma's brother-in-law.

Jo, I echo Lori's concern - I sure hope that all of your energy isn't focused on being a Mom and worrying about Michael and you are taking good care of yourself!

No tennis this morning - just laundry and cleaning bathrooms. But I will def. get outside - need to throw out more annuals in pots that have gotten very sad looking this week.

Make it a great day all!

T-Bird said...

SANDI and all my other eagle peeps, thanks for the continue prayer for my BIL!
Thoughts and prayers to all of you. Remember you are always in my thoughts and prayers. I also continue prayers to all those people that have an influence in your all's live's today.

Thanks SANDI. You make it a great day as well!!

LORI-my BIL is, so far, dealing with the symptoms of his treatment okay. They, including my Big Sis, are starting to really feel the exhaustion that comes from the emotional and physical symptoms. As I'm sure you all know, the weekend is a time for them to rest up and get ready for the next week.

Janet said...

good morning to everyone!

its Saturday again. i am up earlier than i anticipated....olivia has a cold and woke me up.....so medications in here, all fur babies taken care of and coffee by my side, i declare it to be computer time. :)

not sure if she will go to ballet today or not, see how she's feeling in a bit.

frustrated with beano this morning....from his days of being abandoned, he has some quirks....one of which is his obsessive nature with food. now most dogs eat pretty fast....but when we found him he was quite dehydrated and obviously had been fending for himself for some time...he was NOT a pretty puppy....and i don't know how much longer he might have lasted if someone had not intervened. but as a result, he scavenges any crumbs that anyone might leave and is determined to eat ...really fast....ANYTHING on the floor that just might be edible...

and so this brings us to yesterday.

last week tom adn olivia made some salt clay (salt, water, flour) and baked it into cute shapes and painted it.

well the cats knocked one down and beano ate a good part of it. (really?) thankfully not all of it...but all the salt in it made him urinate...a lot.....everywhere. so made sure he had plenty of water last night and left out one of luke's old (unused) pee pee pads.....and he used it. hopefully that will wash thru his system today. yikes!!!!

i bought some more toy mice and a new tiny ball yesterday while at petsmart so he is a happy boy with new toys this morning.

not a lot going on. i have a reiki share this afternoon. i might work in the yard some this weekend, no real plans.

everyone, keeping you close in my heart and thought..sending light, love, & healing to all. :) have a super day!

JANET-Buddy is the same way with food. I think it was when he was abandoned and scavenging like you do. All though in learning about Bassets, they like to get at any food they can reach with their long noses. However, he is liable to bite when you go for it to teach him not to do that. He used to run with it and go underneath a bed or somewhere that we couldn't reach him. I have been able to break him of that and believe me that was a hard thing to do. Reaching for him knowing that he was probably going to bite.

Good morning all. Hmmm maybe I need to figure out this wifi password thing. :-( I don't want to pay Geek Squad to come and do that hmmm. What to do. Have Decorah up this morning. I needed to see and eagle. It reminds me always of Isaiah 40:31 and with the many needs on our blog that is a good reminder indeed. I am off to get photos of a black Pomeranian today. Black dogs are a major challenge.LOL. It will be nice to get out with the camera for a while. Another 5 to 6 weeks and eyes to the skies for me hoping to see the eagles start to come in. They were very late last year. MTBR for this year. Wishing all of you a great day.

Going to bake today for a dessert auction at church tomorrow. Time for the annual Pecan Praline cheese cake!!!

JO and LINDA, I'm loving the updates on Michael and Dennis. Seems there is light at the end of the tunnel for both of them. I echo what others have said with prayers that each of you are taking care of yourselves through this trying time. Haircut and nails ? Yeh, that's the ticket !

Speaking of nails, I do hope you hear some being applied to your house soon, SHIRLEY. They need to get the show on the road before colder weather arrives.

LORI, Dec. 3rd is a long time to wait--sorry this is turning into such a long ordeal for you, but hope the outcomes will make all the difference as you head into 2013 !

THELMA, glad a crisis was averted with that neighboring pit bull. They aren't all mean, but that one sounds a bit menaceing.

Latest update on Michael, from his CaringBridge site:

My cousin Claire went to visit dad this afternoon. She said he was "talking" a lot with his hands. He gestured to look at pictures and cards from his bulletin board. So she took some down and he needed up wanting them all down and had them all sprawled on the bed in his lap. They talked about what the cards said and who was in the pictures. He would often shake his head to agree with what Claire was telling dad, ie... Samantha is 10 years old. Dad shook his head yes. Dad also wanted Claire to read his journal that is being kept for visitors to write in. Dad was moving his right side. I also spoke to dad's nurse today and she said dad has been very good about following commands today. So another great day towards his recovery. Thanks for all your prayers and support! It means so much to me and my dad!

What a beautiful day it was = perfect weather for a wedding, or anything else for that matter!

Just posted a photo of Bella on my blog (also put it on FB but some of you aren't on FB). She has a cyst between her toes and keeps licking it so it won't heal. I suspect it itches. Bought some medicine and some 0-9 month baby socks to keep her from licking the medicine off. She was bothered by the socks for about 30 seconds - now she's fine!

Hi,

Oh, Kay, I hope I hear some nails being hammered into my house soon, too. They worked all day today and made a lot of progress--on the neighbor's house. It will be put up for sale as soon as it is ready, I suppose. They do not plan to come back.

stronghunter said...

Wishing your team the best, Thelma. Who are they playing?

stronghunter said...

Suggested to Kathryn that we could have a "garage" sale in the POD unit, and I think she likes that idea. If she moves stuff out of the garage and into the POD, I can move stuff out of the house into the POD, or, I can get someone to help me move some stuff. I really think we could furnish someone's house with our extra stuff.

Oh--and Kathryn does not usually let Hunter stay up nearly this late. Expect he will really sleep in tomorrow.

His football team had their party this evening--at a local skating rink.

Somebody asked about Pepsi. I think this is where he is:

Pepsi is just staying there until his family can take him back. He's not one of the cats up for adoption.

HODA - SNOW!!! Tell it to go away until Christmas!

SHIRLEY, thanks for the Pepsi update. Glad they're going to take him back.

It's game day! Redskins vs the Giants at 1PM. !!! I know this makes lots of people happy, but it will be a tough game. Go Skins!

PAULA, what have you seen flying around there in Paradise?

LOLLY, pics please when you finish the blanket. I know it's a special one.

I can't wait until I get my pumpkin quilt - the perfect time of year for it! Next up hand quilting lessons. I've always wanted to do it, but don't have the room for a big quilting rack. Will have to make do with something smaller.

JO, enjoy your visit with Michael today. I hope you get more winks and squeezes!

Prayers for JO, Michael, KAY, SANDI's Mom, DanaMO's DAD, THELMA's BIL, LINDA & Dennis. Hope I didn't miss anyone.

GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDS

Sandi said...

Good chilly Sunday morning Lori and all my eagle friends!

Hoda, last year, it snowed in Baltimore on October 29th. We got rain here at the beach but I recall many of my friends posting pics on FB - it was strange to see snow with leaves still on the trees! Hey, I guess if you don't want to see snow in October, you don't live in British Columbia, right?

Like Lori, I am anxious to hear from Wanda today about the joyous day for the Wright family!

Prayers continue for Michael, Dennis, Dana's dad, Thelma's brother-in-law, Kay, and Jo.

Tennis at 10am for me. Make it a great day all!

Good morning,

Cool but beautiful morning here.

Missing Lynn, too. Very much.

That place where Pepsi is staying looks very nice. Carla says that she has gone there and done some volunteer work.

Skippy, the little dog Carla's family had, has been adopted by a family down the street. Carla's family had only had Skippy for a few weeks, but they had had Pepsi for five years. It was a little easier for them to part with Skippy. I think Skippy is part dachshund and part Chihuahua. He is one hyper dog. I could not keep up with him. He kept escaping.

Good morning all. Prayers continue. I hope all of those i with major issues for themselves or their loved ones do indeed have good day.Our list is long BUT there has been good news on a daily basis this week. My computer got up on the wrong side of the bed today. Thought i had lost about 14 hours of photography work this morning. Finally got it restarted and got those edited photos moved to my external hard drive. When when will I ever learnto back those up immediately.

Janet said...

Good morning, everyone!

SANDI: I am dealing with the licking with Sable and her "pimple" on her leg. I was hoping, as for a while it didn't seem to bother her, to just let it be. But I've put the baby sock on her, and she hates it and will gnaw it off. :P I may have to go to the vet and have it taken care of, yet. Glad your baby is wearing the sock. Sable isn't happy about it. I just gave her a new bone to chew to maybe get her mind on something else.

I looked at Bella's pix...sooo cute. Sable's pimple is higher on her leg, so i cut the toe end of the sock off and just slid it up the leg.....works til she pulls it off...

HODA: snow?????? I like a pretty snowfall, BUT NOT YET! Just say it isn't so! lol

I didn't check in last night ya'll, sorry. Was just too tired. Olivia got me up early, and I couldn't sleep again, so I stayed up. And it caught me long about noon as she was at ballet. But I couldn't nap...had to be at Reiki share @ 3:30....and that was good, but came home, declared I was too tired to cook and went out for pizza.

I came home, plopped into my bed, watched a couple of shows and went to sleep. I slept hard too. Feeling much better today!

Another week ahead...last full week of October. Been doing some holiday shopping online. Most of the stuff I want to get for Olivia is online....skating stuff. And then she found things in a few catalogs....I don't like shopping in the stores, especially when it gets closer to December. Hope to have most of it wrapped up by then! :P

Have you all noticed that many stores have brought layaway back? I know its a pain in the neck for the employees, but I think its a super thing for families. They can budget and not have to worry so much about overspending....and not running up credit as badly.

When my older two were little I used layaway a lot!

Anyway, off and running, I suppose, here shortly. Hope you all have a beautiful Sunday....hugs, light, love and smiles to all!

Sandi said...

Shirley, glad to hear that your neighbor's dog has found a new home - hopefully Skippy will get to live indoors in his new home, though it sounds like he was lucky to be outdoors at the time of the fire.

Janet, the socks work fine with Bella as long as I use a strap across her back so they don't fall off b/c she is unable to chew them - she has no teeth! The cyst is only half the size it was yesterday so keeping her from licking it is def. working!

Off to the tennis court, then we may try kayaking to the eagle nest again this afternoon. I have ordered new binoculars but they won't be here for 2-4 weeks.

Sunny and beautiful here today - no chance of snow! =) Paula is getting a fabulous weekend weather-wise!

Later all!

Ok, gotta run! See you all later.

Caring Bridge: As I sit here on this Sunday morning I am sad because I know that you would be in Haiti right now doing what you enjoy most, helping others! I pray extra hard for you today that you will get better and that you will get the chance to go to Haiti again and help those children that count on you so much. Maybe just maybe miracles happen and you will be able to go in December after Christmas I know that is the trip you were really looking forward to. Hey I should ask Mema to bring you your Haitian language book. Maybe your visitors can help you learn the language! Happy Sunday to all! Continue to keep my Dad in your prayers. It must be working!

Hello, Hello. Don't know how many times I've bee trying to get on here!
So glad Mema Jo is visiting Michael. I sure loved the last couple reports on his progress.♥
We had Am. Indian Festival at Park yesterday. I was mostly in the office, but got spelled for awhile to get some "Indian Tacos". They are great--still have one that may be a snack or dinner.Flatbread on bottom, then ground beef, onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese, etc! Thing I've never learned in 20+ years is WHY people turn left at our office entrance road when 3 or more signs of event are there w/arrow pointing straight ^^^^^^^^ ahead?????? (I avoided screaming, but it wasn't easy!LOL)

NatureNut said...

Part II~~think Wanda talked about persimmons recently. There are a couple small trees in back or Park VC. I check the ground to find some intact ones that have fallen. Took 2 home yesterday and tried one~~~~it was very sweet and yummy. I don't think we've had any frost yet to turn them, so it must be that they fall off when ripe.
Part III~~you won't believe this one, but daughter Sherry called, was getting ready for a flight to Beijing but had a 1/2 hr. to spare so zipped to their standing garage on their property to meet Jimmy and Police as he found out burglars vandalized the garage!ALL his tool cabinets are gone, his work computers& monitors. He had been using 'puters there as power was better. He has security password, so they can't get into company's files. Took framed, autographed pic he got at Montgomery Gentry Concert~~DUH, but left bag w/some antiques that was in front of it--like one of my Mom's vases. $5000 worth of new (old) boat supplies he just got, like rods, reels, etc.,leather motorcycle suit, the SAFE that had been embedded in the wall. They tore the beams out. Thank God only one gun in it.They have all the other valuables in friend's safe.
One of the other things taken was the brand new, never used riding lawn mower. They somehow squeezed it out the front door that was blocked by the boat. Boat had chains around the trailer wheels.2 other antique cars are there.(used to be ours)
As Sherry has been travelling overseas this past year, she has been retrieving many items she had collected before.
She wondered "how many times do we have to lose stuff"! One policeman said there's a special place in HEL# for these people.
I offered to come stay in garage with one of Jimmy's guns. Has, shower, etc., but I'd have to grill food!

Lynne2 said...

OMG Lorretta, how HORRIBLE!!! Geezaloo I am dumbfounded over that burglary. So unfair they have to deal with this....

When my dog Bobby Sox had sores on her elbows, I got newborn socks and cut the toes open and used them to hold bandages and padding on. It worked very well and the Vet says she would recommend the same. Bobby-a female poodle mix- had pink ones and lace ones etc. She rarely pulled them off.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOO home from work and how was your day or I guess I should go read to find out not to many comments today everyone enjoying the Sunday off I guess

Hoda said...

I am not sure I want to read more!!! LORETTA so so so sorry about the burgulary...this is insane!!!

Hoda said...

Glqad to say that in town the wet snow from last night did not stay. It speaks of more wet snow tonight. In the higher elevations there is fresh snow and it is very pretty to see the white and the autumn colours mixing...it is however very cold today and I have the heaters on to help the floor boards!!!It takes me a while to get used to it...
It will be a long cold winter is what they are predicting this year.

Hoda said...

Good day volunteering and did groceries at the co-op. Did not enjoy it as much as there are case lot sales on and my oh my were there people out there shopping...some had three carts infront of the tills...the energy was hurried and there was a busyness that I do not normally experience when I go there to go shopping.

Hoda said...

SANDI BC is one of the mild provinces!!! I thought I was moving south and to warmer climates LOL!!! What we get used to never ceases to amaze me!!! In Alberta -40 weather and in Northern Québec -65 weather...so in BC it is warm...we have had -20 weather on the rare occasion!!! I did move down south!!! LOL!!!

JudyEddy said...

SO so sorry for the burglary LORETTA
and I love the ideas of the socks and dogs I have done that also but I sort of put garters that went over the back and back down to the leg the garter things I used are for sheets and I use to use mens brief for pantie for our female just stuck her tail in the hole that was there for men LOL

JudyEddy said...

HODA you must take a pic of the snow for us Especially for the ones that don't get snow LOL No I am not rubbing it in LOL

JudyEddy said...

HODA so sorry you shopping experience wasn't what you are use to

Lolly said...

Loretta.....that is awful!! How discouraging for them! Scum!!!!! That is what the thieves are!!!!

Dinner is over...bacon cheese burgers. Think I am going to read for a while.

NatureNut said...

Back again. Ate one of my tacos for dinner. Fubby got phone a little while ago and it was Sherry! She didn't get on plane today, but can get one tomorrow. Said the police got a good fingerprint from stool that was left behind the boat. They had tried to take some of the guages, like fishfinder, but couldn't get them off. The boat and both cars have been moved to a friend's garage. The motorcycles are still there, but Jimmy is spending the night with a gun! Now I'm not gonna sleep at all!

I have a list of various pics to put on~~~Hope they get there soon!
Yes, I too am waiting (unless it's here) for a Wright Wedding Report!
What great weather.
BTW, I didn't take more pictures of the Indian Festival, but if you want to view some, they are in Oct. 2011 in the Nook! Since I was there for while in PM, I heard Indian Dancer calling up adults and children and was giving them proper sized hoops to do that hoop dance!! If I see him perform that again, need to make video.
I should be back, but want to make sure all in need get their Prayers for Good Health ☺ ♥

You are all so gracious~~~~thx for letting me borrow shoulders on trivial matters

Hoda, haven't checked FB yet...are you talking about your lists?

paula eagleholic said...

Didn't get out fishing yesterday, took the boat down to the beach, but then realized the board that is attached to the stern, where the motor sits, decided to rot!

Hauled the boat back into the yard, and got rid of the rotten wood, then had to saw off the bolts, they were all rusted.

Ran up to Lowes, got a new treated board, cut it to fit, and put in with new stainless screws..but the water was a little too rough to go out fishing, so we fished from the beach. Didn't catch anything today, but Bro caught 3 puppy drum last night while I was at Lowe's!

Still, a very nice weekend, got the yard mowed yesterday, sat around the campfire last night, and had a great dinner...and the weather was beautiful.

Not much bird activity to report, only one eagle, did see a kingfisher, heard the ducks and geese...and a vulture was floating overhead today.

Ready to say Good Night
Good Wife didn't come on until 10
I wanted to bring over my report to Christine on our visit with Michael

Sunday evening
Mema & Pap visited with Dad this afternoon. He was awake and alert and happy to see them by the smile on his face. He had cards waiting to be opened and Mema read them to him. Dad would take the card from her, open it and look at it but we know he cannot read at this time. Dad was moving both of his legs, arms and hands - that is so encouraging ♥ The nurse had given Dad some pain medication and within the hour was relaxing and falling to sleep. Mema feels much better leaving Dad when he is asleep. Aunt Susan had visited earlier and also and she also felt good about Dad's progress for the one week he has been at Kernan.

Jo, so happy to hear that Michael is moving arms and legs - as in BOTH! Prayers continue.

Wanda, we all knew the wedding would be wonderful and just what the family needed! Anxious to see the pics!

Prayers for Dana's dad who should have his next chemo treatment this week.

Should have a date for my mom's first appt. at the Cleveland Clinic by this afternoon - will keep everyone posted. Thanks for keeping those prayers coming!

good morning to all!

NatureNut: that is so not a trivial matter and I am with Hoda, this is what friends do. we listen, we support, we encourage....i hope all goes well with your family and that they police find the people responsible for this terrible act!

HODA: so sorry for your snow & cold....wish I could pop you down here for the week. we are having a reprieve; in the upper 70's and 80's all week. even i can deal with these temps.

I haven't noticed any changes on facebook posts....but i know there was something about if a person doesn't get their posts "liked" that you may not receive those posts or something? i don't know, i didn't really pay attention too much.....they are always changing something or other. that's the one thing i dislike about fb, they are always changing stuff!

Its another week folks. Having a hard time getting motivated this morning. bah humbug.

Had a nice weekend, nothing really big. It was quiet. Bowling: we lost all 3 games. Tom had a really good week, had a 150 on the last game. :) I had an average night, which at this moment is good for me. But they had a guy putting up 4, 5, 6 strikes in a row. Even with a handicap, we can't compete with that. Good thing we only do this for fun!

Need to get moving. Have a super day ya'll....hugs, light, smiles, and healing to all in need!

G☼☼d M☺rning Eagle Buds !

Well, this starts my day off seeing RED over LORETTA's account of the senseless burglary. Here's hoping the SIL had a peaceful night with no gunfire needed !

That horrible event tempered by reading JO and WANDA posts ! So happy with Michael's slow but steady progress. Can't wait for those happy wedding pics from the Wright household. Also want to know how GG fared through the festivities.

PAULA, always love reading about your adventures in Paradise !
The Armstrong thing reminds me of LYNN. She was an avid supporter through all the hearings and adverse news items and would be greatly saddened over the latest developements. I think of her so often and miss her medical expertise, sense of humor and wisdom on so many issues !

SANDI, glad your Mom's C.C. appt. is about to be set ! Still praying for her daily ! Along with prayers for DANA's dear Dad as he begins the chemo treatments soon.

JANET and JUDYE, I read your comments with happiness as this blog give you sisters a great way to keep in close touch. The rest of us are lucky to have this window into that blessing !

HODA, wish you could jump on a plane and fly into Port Columbus for a nice stay at my place. Our Indian Summer is just gorgeous with temps to be in the 70's all week !!! Come on down !!!

Am so anxious for our Belle and Shep watching to begin anew ! I hope that will bring a bunch of people back to us--this blog is moving rather slowly without our dear Eagles on hand !
