Well, sure why not, Loretta, we haven't had a SPLIT for a few days.

Sure do miss you....

I think I have become almost immune to caffeine, trying to get a boost this evening...

but a Panda Nap sounds sooooo inviting

I have new glasses to pick up, just a wee bit stronger than the ones I have...so my eyes checked out pretty well for an old lady

magpie said...

So on that note, I'm going to pack up and head out to my brother in law's place, just holding fort there for awhile while the kids figure out the next plan...what a palace !
Got to be careful not to get too spread out, because I'll be at this little Roost for good pretty soon probably...
oh, the mattress on the bed I am sleeping on....Deluxe !!

magpie said...

Hear the rattling in the attic. I have not been watching at the right times to see any Parents in the nest today.

Best Wishes for a Good Evening, Everyone...will check in from the Palace later on

Jack and I just had our evening in the back yard. He had a beer and I had a glass of wine. Starting dinner soon, crab cakes with green onion sauce, fresh green beans sauted, and mashed potatoes. How does that sound? Yummy to me!!

Belle in the nest with the eaglets. I guess they are grown up wannabees!!!!

Lolly said...

She is feeding them huge chunks of whatever!!

Maybe "see" you over the weekend! Just learned that company is probably coming tomorrow to spend the night!!!
Grandson from TN is going to Carlisle, PA for big car meet/parts sale.
Getting out the shovel! And I get to go to work in AM! LOL ☺

NatureNut said...

Just saw Shep in w/half a fish followed by Belle. She's working on it~~peaglets watching.

NatureNut said...

One eaglet must have gotten stuffed and hopped to top of nest. 2nd juvie followed that one! Belle is eating herself!!Whatever!

Lynne2 said...

Evening all!

Haven't read back yet...

BB nest is progressing nicely in the front box. I expect if all goes well, we'll have an eggbert early next week!

Since one Orchard Oriole and one Baltimore Oriole seem to be actually staying here this year, I'm going to try some Grape Jelly to attract them to the feeder area.

Hope everyone is well, will check back later....

I am so excited. Mrs. Grosbeak is eating the suet! I love her! I haven't seen him for a little while.

My weekend plans:
Tomorrow morning, Mattie and I will go to the flea market.

At 1:30 I meet Alice, Kelsey's mother, in Athens to attend Heather and Josh's wedding (they are in Andrew and Kelsey's wedding), then reception at Concord University. After that, I will be having dinner with Andrew, Kelsey and her mom, then going to their hotel to enjoy the pool and hot tub!

Sunday is the shower. I am so tickled that I get to spend so much time with my boy!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

He will be attending the shower too. He likes to open presents.

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Love that fluffy white feather by Bro's head. He has been playing with it.

stronghunter said...

Our eaglets look like they are plumb wore out.

Lolly said...

Are you ready for this? Just a little while ago the doorbell rings and Jack goes to the door. I hear a woman talking and she is talking for a while and I get a sneaking suspicion. Sure enough, there at our door is Momma of 17 year old car wrecker! She says daughter gave wrong insurance info and that she is covered by Momma's insurance...State Farm. This is good if all goes well. Jack has called and will call back in the morning. We now have a new case number. Good grief!!!! I just want my car fixed now, I want a rent car now...and I do not want to pay one penny. Momma was a blonde!! I think her favorite color is clear...no reflection on you, dear Lynne or half blonde Magpie! ☺♥☺♥

Lolly said...

Sharon, your weekend sounds glorious. Have fun!!!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well, that is wonderful news Lolly!

Lolly said...

Amen to that! Saves me $250.00!!!

wvgal_dana said...

Oh Lolly that is such wonderful news. I do have to give it to that lady. When she probably found out all the lies her daughter was telling. I do believe she wanted to make things right for you and the accident. Pray it all goes well now. Still so "HAPPY" you was not hurt worse than what you was. A MIRACLE!!!!

wvgal_dana said...

I always think the groom to be should be at the shower to help open the presents. I don't like how they use to do it only the bride-to-be. Nephew was at their shower and he enjoyed it so very much.

wvgal_dana said...

@Lynne2 When the Bluebirds fledge do you clean out the box for the next set of Bluebirds?

Lynne2 said...

Sitting hear and suddenly BIG WIND!! Not even a breeze before!

Excuse me...on behalf of Margy and myself, :P to you Lolly!

Lynne2 said...

Glad though that the insurance issue looks a bit brighter now!

Yep, I clean the old nest out, check for bugs, brush out the dust, ready for a new clutch. SOMETHING is contemplating the field box, there is small grasses in it, but I have yet to see who is thinking about that one.

Lynne2 said...

Sharon...sounds like a great weekend!

magpie said...

Goooood News, shorter hair with layers and some highlights Lolly...

thanks Lynne for defending us :)

Sharon: very happy to hear of your happy week-end plans...Hope Venus the Planet of Love shines brightly in the evenings for you as it is here

magpie said...

June Bugs are out...or June beetles maybe they are called..when they hit the side of the house, Bang! what a noise

magpie said...

I read somewhere that if you make a hole in the top of a Bluebird box, not too big a hole, the sparrows are discouraged because they do not like light...but bluebirds don't mind it.

Sandi,
I can see where you started crying. It is upsetting no matter what the circumtance. I would love to have been doing this with mom. As she has sooo much that she didn't use or wear as well! We did find something that we didn't know about and alot of things that we were shocked that she held onto. But its all good. I could never ever be mad at mom for anything. I love her even more than I thought I did!!

magpie said...

It is amazing, Jewels, the things one comes across when going through a loved one's things. I had found some valuable coins at one time amongst my parents' things...and other things that brought me to tears...We're with you every step of the way, in our hearts if not right there with you helping

Wanda
We have spoke to a acutioneer, who is actually the father of a classmate I had in school. He has looked at everyhting and the contents is a 20% fee. They do it all, pack, box and move and auction. The house if he auctions it is a 6% fee of the sale price. 3 % for the buyer and 3% for the seller. That is all he pockets. We are still thinking. Cana't make up our minds. As far as the contents, mom did not want acution at her home, so that is why the auctioneer will pack it all up and take it elsewhere. It would be so much on us to do it all ourselves and haul it off to another location and sell at multiple yardsales. IDK...... its hard to decide!!!

Jewels said...

Momma 2 work has been extremely busy since we got here!!! But its all well here. We are doing ok. Had a nice dinner from the the ladies auxillary (sherif's) Stuffed chicken and baked potatoe from Hoss's. Yum!!!

Jewels said...

yes, that it is.... kudos to the officers!!!

Lynne2 said...

Wow Carolyn, that's a tough one, about the auction. But it does make a good deal of sense...been thinking of you as you have been going through all of her things ♥

Lynne2 said...

There has not been a single hint of even a breeze since that out of nowhere gust of wind hit a while ago that blew things off the table here....VERY strange. Creepy, even.

$#%@*GET AWAY! JUST GET AWAY FROM ME! COME BACK LATER!!!

Whew! The sandperson is really working my last nerve tonight.

Lolly, sure hope the new insurance information will all be to your benefit and soon. Really sorry you are going through all this.

Sharon, have a super wonderful weekend. Don't see how you could have otherwise but just enjoy every moment.

Carolyn, absolutely non of my bees wax but think about whether or not an auction is better than selling where the house is concerned. I understand about the contents and that makes sense.

Paula should be at the beach and Jo has a good day planned for tomorrow.

Many heartfelt thanks to the men and women in law enforcement and those who provide 911 and fire/rescue/life support. If any of you ever have an opportunity to visit the National Law Enforcement Memorial at Judiciary Square in D.C., it is the single most peaceful place I have ever experienced.

Cannot imagine otherwise but just hope Hoda and Kristen had an amazing day today.

Okay, the sandperson is back and pacing up and down grousing about having to get to all manner of momster locations "sometime before daybreak." The night light is on. Restful sleep for all.

wvgal_dana said...

Jewels my heart and thoughts are with you and Christie as you go through your Moms things.

They just did an auction of the things of a lady friend of my Mother. Mom couldn't go to it although it was just up the street. Her son and daughter felt that was the best way to go.

I remember Paula took some things of her Mother's to an auction house near her. So that way the auction wasn't at the house.

As far as the house. First check with a "good" realtor to see what the house would sell for. You may get less if auctioned off.

Am I the first of the morning peeps to hop on the blog this Saturday morning?? Good morning my eagle friends!! The dance was fun - the boys looked very handsome and the girls were be-u-ti-ful, though some had way too much skin showing for 8th graders! Sometimes I wonder what the mothers are thinking, since I'm sure they paid for the dresses!

Good morning my eagle peeps.

Good morning Thelma!! Great to "see" you this morning! Very quiet at the nest and on the blog this morning!

Good morning everyone. I am having someone come to help clean the garage this morning. argh I have things out there that i have never used, just moved with me form place to place. It give away or throw away time for 90% of those. Then it sweep etc and re organize what is left. I will have room but not money for a new car when I am done. Maybe I could get a moped :-). It will be nice to be sorted out and clean but no all of it is fun at all. oh well it is what it is.

T-Bird said...

Good morning Sandi. Sounds like a real job Glo but very rewarding.

Sandi said...

Glo, I can picture you on a moped with your camera around your neck and Dex in a basket on the front!

Off to get a start on my Saturday. Will be washing the outsides of the windows and getting some screens in - washed the insides in April when I was off for spring break. Breezy but sunny today (clouds for tomorrow it looks like) - should be a great day for Paula and Nick!

Hoping for a good day for Kay and healing for Melissa Jo and praying for whatever is the best outcome for Kristen.

Will check in throughout the day.

Judie said...

Good morning to those who have arrived and to those who will arrive later.

RTH babes have amazing wing spans and already showing some dark feathers.

Mr. Loon was on the nest. So pretty and tranquil.

Kestrel babes are still all in a knot bobbling around together. Parent must be out looking for breakfast.

Our babes were snoozing in the early sun. Screen now blank. Boo!

Christy, since you asked, auction contents and list the house with a realtor. Two processes but the two that will likely be the most financially beneficial. Talk with Wanda and have her put you in contact with her realtor buddy for guidance but no obligation up front.

Speaking of Wanda, so glad family night was a happy time and really happy for Denise. Must be okay if GG approves.

Sandi, so nice the dance was successful for the youngsters. Have to say that the young girls showing so much skin continues through college. They do not realize when they wear very short skirts what we (male professors especially) can see when looking out at the students as they sit at a desk.

Hi Thelma. So glad you're here this morning. Hope that means you are also feeling better.

Glo, it will be so nice to have the garage sorted and cleaned out. Could be a fun day sorting and remembering and then happily saying bye bye.

Glad to know Paula arrived in paradise safely. Have fun!

Off for coffee. Will be heading to lunch with my Interpol buddy later.

Good Morning so far Sandi, Thelma, Glo, Judie, and Shirley.

Wanda so happy for Denise :)

Judie is your avatar one of your kitties?

Shirley enjoy the baseball game this AM. Hope Hunter enjoys himself.

Glo sounds like lots of cleaning on the garage.

Thelma I pray you are feeling better.

Sandi I was at a Mother Daughter Banquet. The teens girls were all in prom gowns. They looked so beautiful. The one thing I noticed was "not lots of skin showing". Each one had matching their long gowns little jacket like thingies.

good morning to one and to all!

yesterday was such a fabulous day! i saw one of my favorite authors speak again, he is so enchanting, entertaining, and makes you laugh til tears run. even better, he had some books there and they were discounted, so i bought 5...he autographed them ALL and took a pix with me!!!!!!
(pix on facebook)

and the other seminars were quite intriguing, but the crown jewel to my day was the drum circle. i've had my djembe for some time and i've sort of played them, but this drum circle the leader taught us a bit and we played for over an hour! so much energy raised, such joy! such a joyful sound! :) took me a while to come down from that!

busy day today! had grandkids last night.....cooking breakfast in a few, followed by amelia's soccer game and the my oldest waking the college graduation line. she actually got her diploma in december, but today she walks!!!

everyone, have a fabulous day. i am thinking of each of you! :) will check in later!

Good morning! Heading to Elvis on the Square early afternoon. Thinking of digging in the dirt this morning.

Neighbor called. Young teenage daughter is going to her first formal dance this evening. Aunt is coming over to take pictures and they want to use our yard. How cool is that?!!! We will not be here so I told her....only requirement...I have to see the pictures!!! We once had another neighbor take care of Annie while we were gone. He asked if he could bring a date to our backyard for a picnic. We were flattered and pleased with that request.

What has happened to our automatic new thread?

Had to laugh about the view teachers have when students wear short skirts. I remember that view while substituting. I once told a young lady (?) just exactly what I could see! Hope she learned her lesson, but I doubt it.

Jack has been on the phone with insurance. What a pain!!

Time to get a move on and start my day.

Have a good one!

Oh, and I do like it when I read a person has a special someone!!!♥♥♥

Well, my last post got blogger copped.

Spent the early part of the day at Mother Carolyn's house, cleaning and weeding. Then to friend Sharon's (Mother C's daughter) because she is thinning her garden and had some plants for me. WAY more than I needed! So in between weeding, digging up bulbs, trimming edges and planting, was playing Words with Friends. I will not be able to move by morning!

OH SNAP !! fellow fishing at the creek said three weeks ago, while walking the creek and fishing, he came upon a Bald Eagle ! Said it startled him big time....it was maybe 1/10 mi up stream, as the Eagle flies....Wowser !
He caught three little fish, one rock fish, one sunfish, and one Pumpkinseed which was gorgeous...he was a wealth of information and we talked about a lot of things

Good Evening Eagle Buds! Margy, hope I didn't miss you!!!
Yes, I did some shoveling last night, got guest bedroom and bath all fixed, cleaned upstairs bath room, got the Swiffer out to dust living room and left it on the floor. Konked Out! Fubby dusted in AM & said he vacuumed basement. He called me at Park to say GG Son may NOT stop by and wasn't sure when he was leaving PA. Plus he's towing a big trailer and it's a pain to park. So, we shall see.
Saw the fantastic Preakness~~love that horse! Now a special All Star (I think) car race is on. No points---winner gets big bucks!
I will probably konk out again!
So, Pleasant Feather Dreams, Prayers for Good Health and Blessings on ♥♥Lynn's♥♥ family ;>)

he released all of them of course.

He lives close by there...

reason I have not tried to set up any Swinging Bridge visits yet with some of close by....including LORI is that my work schedule leaves very little wiggle room, AND I am taking care of number of things at my brother in law's, and other things for my nieces and nephews and a host of other things...and the deaths of three very important people in my life...

I DID feed a Bluebird this evening! As I was digging up bulbs, I found a grub. I threw it in the driveway and thought, wouldn't it be funny if the bluebird grabbed it? They were no where to be seen, but wow, EAGLE EYES! In less than 15 seconds, the male was on the ground and eating it! Not 10 feet from me! Then he flew up and sat on the wire, and I found another grub and threw it and BAM he was on it right away!

Hey, JEWELS, they all just flat dropped outta sight on ya, huh ?

I'm up for meds--have to take them with a bit of food and then have to stay up a while---otherwise a little GERD bugs me.

Love hearing about your Momma's visitations ! My family members are skeptics, but over the years I've had after death visits from my grandmother, mother, father and sister. Very real, comforting, non-scary experiences. What puzzles me greatly is that my Stan died 5 years ago on June 10th and he has never "visited". I loved him so much and would like receiving some kind of sign from him. Maybe someday.

SANDI, tickled pink with news of contracts on your mom's home--surely one of them will pan out. Fingers crossed !

JUDIE, I love that tabby cat look ! My favorite all time feline, Jade, looked just like your avatar cat. She belonged to my sis. I could never have a cat due to 1st hubby and two of the kids having extreme allergic reactions to them. When I married Stan he had an old outdoor alley cat scrapper, Kitty, but he wasn't the kind of cat who relished much human interaction.

Prayers of thanks for you dear Eagle Buds and your prayers for me ! And, prayers for comfort and healing for all in need. Hope this is a blessed Sunday for all !

Okay there's Kay !
I missed most of PHC but the final song by Arlo Guthrie...will try to catch the repeat Sunday...oh, gee, that is TODAY already

I think Stan will make his presence known for you....and I hope it is soon, right about now with your back procedure coming up...would be just right

watching Mick Jagger on SNL
and having the best ice cream I have had for a long long long time

Lynne2 said...

Kay, you are ONE DAY CLOSER to RELIEF!!!

Kay said...

Pulling a MARGY, so I can say hello to MARGY ! PHC was a very good compilation show "last night", so I hope you get a chance to tune in this morning. Yeppers, a reassuring message from Stan would certainly cheer me during this pre and post surgery time. I had a couple of ailing periods during the time he and I shared and he took such good care of me ! I miss that, but of course, my kids are stepping up to the plate Big Time !

Now I want to pull a LYNN on you dear friends. Please continue with prayers and your cards, notes and e-mails are wonderfully cheering. But, please this time around don't plan on sending flowers, plants n' goodies. You treated me like a queen last Fall when I had that kidney abcess and the memories linger on. I've no more sunny places for plants and I'm not eating sweets of any kind these days. I want you to save your hard earned dough for the special projects, memorials, etc. that come up for we Momsters ! Knowing I have your love is all I need ! I♥U mightily !

Kay said...

LYNNE, yes, yes, yes ! D-Day is only 18 days away. Hate to wish my life away, but.... Never thought I'd relish the thought of going "under the knife", but I sure am ! Wish you could see light at the end of the tunnel with your back pain. I continue to pray for better times and improved health care for you !!!!

Jewels said...

Kay, I wonder why he hasn't visited you?? Surely he knows you want a sign from him!!
goodness is it 6 am yet?? Busy again!! 7 calls on t he screen, dui checks going on as well. I am sleepy!!

Lynne2 said...

I'm doing OK, Kay...bad days, good days, but always functional!

Kay said...

Hi, JEWELS ! I'll bet that "breakfast" was yummy---wouldn't it be nice if you could take a little nap now ? Being busy makes the time go faster, but in your line of work it also means folks are having trouble. Glad you're there for them ! So, don't nod off ! ☺

Lynne2 said...

I can't say that I've ever had a visit from a passed loved one. I think that God just sends things to us a certain times to remind us of our loved ones. I like to think that in Heaven, they can't see really "see" us down here. Because then they'd worry about things as they did here on earth. I like to think that in Heaven, they have NO worries, only peace!

Although....there WAS one day when I was in the Grossery store, not long after my Grandma died, that I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. When I turned, no one was there. And I remember just KNOWING it was her!

I just finished another doctor's report, and I quit for tonight!
I'm right on schedule; should finish all my work tomorrow.

Haven't had much time to catch up!
Gosh, I may never have enough time to do so!

Mema Jo, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Please give Heather my congratulations, and the whole family too! Welcome to this crazy world, little Vincent. I love your name!

I was absolutely thrilled--I received both ♥♥LYNN♥♥ books today!
C/A, they are just beautiful! You did a wonderful job on them. Thank you so much!

From the little I did read here, sounds like gardening was the task of the day. Glad you had good weather! Prayers that no one will be too sore tomorrow as a result, either.

Oh, Lolly, I had to laugh, too! I didn't think it was THAT hot in TX!
Guess my SIL has gotten used to our cooler weather, and the contrast made it seem worse.

Well, about to do a face plant here. Have said prayers for everyone, but just too tired to elaborate. I DO care about all concerns, though! The porch light is on. Both security systems are enabled. Sleep well, everyone, with SED! God bless, and goodnight.
Love all of you!

Morning eagle friends!

Congratulations Jo, on the birth of baby Vincent!! What a happy occasion for your whole family!! Give me the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren count again? I'm thinking 5 children but really have no idea about the rest.

Carolyn, love hearing everyone's stories about getting a visit/sign from Lynn! I sure do believe that folks let us know they're still close by, even though we can't see them. I also agree with Lynne2 that I don't think folks in Heaven "see" us, but they "know" when we really need them.

Kay, happy to see that you checked in - hoping for comfort for you for the next 18 days and then a full recovery from your surgery and blissful relief from your pain!! I'll bet Stan has been close by MANY times, even if you weren't aware!

Margy, that Swinging Bridge place sure sounds special! Some day I'd love to see more than pictures of it!

Tennis at 9AM - sure hope someone called in time to get an indoor court! Overcast and very breezy out this morning with rain in the forecast.

One eaglet (I can never tell them apart anymore) has been doing a lot of flapping already this morning. The other is chillin'. Waiting for breakfast to arrive!

Good morning all,
Have been lurking as time allows, but have had many obligations elsewhere lately.

So glad those who have received the Lynn books enjoy them. The memory book was made at MemaJo's request, so many thanks to her for allowing me that opportunity.

During the flurry of eye appts lately, I too made a visit. More restrictions on drivers license (hey I'll save on gas). Thankful computer print can be enlarged for my reading pleasure.

For the crafty folks out there, I have a pic on my blog of watermelon slices my daughter made from wedges of wood cut from some storm-downed trees. Cute

Continued prayers for all in need.
May it be a great day for all!

Jewels even if Charlie does not believe about the frog and your Mom. I BELIEVE !!

Mema Jo read you comment "Heather delivered yesterday 19th am....welcome baby boy Vincent". Verh happy for the entire family. Yes give us a number count again please.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JENNIFER AND JENNY!!

Good Sunday Morning Kay and Sandi so far. Don't know if anyone came in while I was typing this yet or not.

You all have broken the auto thread it just took longer than last time :-) My garage is so much nicer now. I only found one treasure and it will be offered to my son when he comes to visit next month. Did i tell you all that both of my kids are coming in June. it will have been 4 and a half years since I have spent time with both of them together. I love when my kids are both here with me. And of course its been almost 2 years since I have seen Elia can you say spoil and photograph :-). Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I am at the last day of a 3 day webinar on photography lighting. My brain is spinning and my bank account is low BUT I have learned somethings that won't cost money just time and practice. I got a nice photo of a hummingbird last night that looks like I took it when it was dark outside. I am having fun.

Good morning!

Tried to speed read back a bit as I was blindsided by the sandperson last night and slept until 8:30 this morning.

Jo, congratulations on baby Vincent. Now the family will have two special celebrations on the same day. Best health for mom and babe.

Glo, you have a special event to look forward to with the visit of your children. It will be a nice time for all.

Hi to CarolAnne and sorry about the added restrictions. Hope the restrictions will not be too difficult.

Sandi, congratulations on the contracts for your mom's house. Good sign of a sale.

Andy, too funny. I remember when you used to fuss about having so much homework to finish "on time" and now you are fussing about having so much work to finish "on time." Says something about what life events we've all shared over the past several years -- good times and not so good.

Kay, all will be just fine. Time will move quickly and healing will move even more quickly. Cats, of course, are not for everyone but these two are really sweet and gentle. We got lucky this time.

Paula, glad you had a nice day and I'm sure your neighbor was very happy to have a good meal with a special lady.

Okay, off to catch up and find some coffee and put antibiotic on Grace's tummy.

Good morning to anyone on here. I need to check in a little more often. I hope everyone has had a good week and if not...hope you made the best of the situation. Doesn't look to be much going on at the nest this morning. A man at work and me were talking yesterday about my watching the eagles on the cam. Not sure about this so I will ask you all...he said the eagle parents push the young out and catch them on their backs when they are first learning to fly. Just from what I have seen...they look like they fly a little ways near the nest and then can make it back without too much trouble. Not sure what we will do today...would like to get fishing somewhere. Might try Greenbrier State Park and hit the river on the way home. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday. I will add my congrats, thoughts and prayers to anune in need today.
