Hi, Everyone,
Wow, not many entries today. Anybody there right now?

hedgie said...

Just got a new pic of my puppy. It's up on my Lair! Take a peek---bet you'll love her, too!
They are taking good care of her! Have started little nail trims (Shar Pei are very sensitive about it, and my Shang always had to be anesthetized to do it, so hoping to thwart that kind of scenario!), will be giving baths soon. Hopefully only a few more weeks before she will arrive here!
Thank you, Shar Pei Rescue of Virginia!!!!

stronghunter said...

Thank you, Steve, for the new thread. And, thank you, Margy, for the call-over.

I would love to go outdoors today, but I will be much happier tomorrow if I finish all of this school work today.

Beware! 503 is lurking out there. I just had to retype this message.

hedgie said...

We've all been in and out, Andy. Wishing we would hear from Darth about how Judie is.

stronghunter said...

Hi Andy.

We just started a new thread.

stronghunter said...

Just had a scare here. Kathryn fell in the tub and let out a holler. I threw down a load of laundry and rushed upstairs. She is okay, thank goodness, though she may be a bit sore later on.

I am glad that I was home and that the bathroom door was unlocked.

stronghunter said...

Time to re-heat last night's pizza.

stronghunter said...

We need a mat for the tub.

NatureNut said...

Happy Sunday to everyone!!
Will check out ISS times. Are going "down in the country" to stepson's house for cookout.
So, gotta get ready.

stronghunter said...

Lordy, we have done a lot of laundry today.

hedgie said...

FOr this area, tonight is the only ISS night for the rest of the week. 5:44----will be in a parking lot then.....hope lights aren't too bright!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Lynn, Shirley, and Loretta,
Lynn, the pup IS beauteous! Just adorable!
Shirley, mighty glad that Kathryn is OK! Hope she's not too sore tomorrow! Mat would be a good idea.
Wish we had heard about Judie. Am going to hope that no news is good news. Prayers continue!

OOps--gotta go. Hubby wants to go to the movies, and is about to leave without me. Will check back in later. Have a good Sunday! :o]

hedgie said...

Oh, Shirley, thank goodness Kathryn is okay!! That could have been so nasty.
Luckily I only had one load of laundry today!

hedgie said...

Loretta, have fun at your BBQ. Forgot to say yesterday that I'm sure glad Frank has decided to give up ladder climbing! THAT was scary, too! Remember about 8 yrs. ago or so, Bill climbed a tree to trim some branches that were interfering with antennae. When he came down he dropped to his knees, was sweating and shaking. He said that his climbing days were over---fear had set in when he realized he didn't have the strength he once had. He was a lineman for power company in his early years, as well as an antennae tower installer.

Lynne2 said...

Puppy is so cute Lynn!

stronghunter said...

It seems that Hunter likes to demolish bars of soap in the bathtub. That can make a tub slippery.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynn, are they going to deliver your pup? She's adorable, Lynn. Pretty color? What's it called.

Just heard a clunk

paula eagleholic said...

Have fun Lowreeda! Thinking of firing up my grill tonight. Got laundry going to. Got the front leaves done using the blower. Nice! Now onto the back.

hedgie said...

Thanks, gang. She's technically a silver, Paula. Varying shades of sable and gray.

LOL, Shirley....ine time I dropped an almost new bar of Dove soap. Cinnamon grabbed it and took it up two flights of steps and under the bed and ate the whole thing. I was nearly hysterical. Called poison control---it was almost the middle of the night!---and a very nice lady said that the worst it could do was cause vomiting and diarrhea. Told me to feed her some bread. NO ill effects at all. Called vet in the morning and she just laughed (she raised doxies) and said no big deal! Whew! She also loved to eat tissues and paper towels whenever she seized a chance.

Mema Jo said...

I am wondering what kind of stories you'll have to tell with this little one, Lynn.

Loretta - the ladder story was scary..
You think you could have caught him if he had fallen lol

Whoops! Steve I wish you had an alarm for us when the new threads come up. This one was 2 hrs old before it was discovered.

Andy - give us a movie report when you get home!

Shirley - I decided I need a mat for the bathtub.. Mainly for Alexis so she doesn't scoot back & forth and make waves. For safety sake hubby did put a very nice bar on the wall by the tub. It has come in handy a few times so far.

I am heading over to son's for dinner.
Not sure what the menu is going to be.

hedgie said...

Oops--missed your other question, Paula. Yes, they will be delivering her!

hedgie said...

Time for me to get ready to head out for visitation. Going out for dinner, too. See all ya'll later tonight.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynn, doxies do like to gobble anything they can get their mouth around! Goldens are notorious for eating tissues and napkins, too. Mine always used to steal the tissues out of my Mom's purse whenever she came up :)

stronghunter said...

I have used Dove soap ever since I was in college, Lynn. My mother once said that the bathroom always smelled of Dove when I was home from school. I have passed the preference on to Kathryn, but I don't think that is what she slipped on; it was probably something Will had left behind.

I do not believe that I've had a dog to eat a bar of Dove, though.

stronghunter said...

A bar over the tub sounds like a good idea. Kathryn would have been in trouble if I had not been here.

stronghunter said...

More questions to write!

BBL.

stronghunter said...

On question 39. I am putting the test into my test generator. It will allow me to scramble the multiple choice answers to minimize cheating.

Lolly said...

Hi all! Had a great time at church today and now Jack is settling down to watch some football, but I think he hs fallen asleep. Too funny, he has his arm up to block the lamp light and his arm keeps slipping down.

Lynn, your pup is just precious. How exciting to get that new baby.

Thought we were home for the evening but just got a call to go to friends this evening. I get to see Rhyan, the new baby I made the burp rags for. Yea! They are visiting here from Austin.

paula eagleholic said...

Hope it goes well, Lynn. When is the funeral?

Clouding up here some....decided to make teriyaki chicken on the grill.

And time for a break...

paula eagleholic said...

Hearing some gunshots in the distance...

stronghunter said...

I have been hearing them, too, Paula. I hope the eagles are lying low today.

stronghunter said...

Eagle in the nest!!!!

stronghunter said...

Got one pic.

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle in our nest...looks like Belle?

paula eagleholic said...

Hi Shirley!

Mema Jo said...

Good Looking Eagle, I'd say.

stronghunter said...

Hi, Paula! You think it's Belle?

I have gotten a couple of pics.

Mema Jo said...

I need to look up the 'Hunt dates'

stronghunter said...

Beauteous.

paula eagleholic said...

Hmmm, could be Lib, Shirley. We'll know for sure if/when our second eagle arrives.

stronghunter said...

Boris' handiwork is becoming visible.

stronghunter said...

I am seeing some digital break-ups in the signal.

paula eagleholic said...

I have been seeing them all day Shirley.

Mema Jo said...

Or if this eagle gets up on the back perch. I placed a pic on FB..

I'm not so sure it isn't a statue! lol

paula eagleholic said...

Eagle is just standing in the nest, facing 11

Mema Jo said...

I saw the head nod!

stronghunter said...

Haven't actually had the cam up all day here. I had it on and heard the eagle land in the nest. I have been very busy writing this test and dealing with a cat who wants to push my hand off the computer mouse.

Just George and me right now. Kathryn took Hunter and the dogs and went out. I am afraid she is going to have some problems from her fall. Her shoulder is bothering her again.

stronghunter said...

She was almost in tears when I got to her. I had to reach into the shower and turn off the water. Managed to get pretty wet doing that. Kathryn has taken some pain medication. I think I have something stronger that the doctor gave me for my shoulder I can share with her when she gets ready for bed.

paula eagleholic said...

Ah some movement finally.

paula eagleholic said...

Sorry to hear that about Kathryn, Shirley.

paula eagleholic said...

I think it's Lib.

Mema Jo said...

I believe it is Lib now that we are looking down on him.

paula eagleholic said...

think he spotted Belle elsewhere, gonna poof...yup he's gone....nope back again!

Did you see that turtle shell!

stronghunter said...

left and then returned.

Mema Jo said...

Oh no! Changing my mind since I have seen the tail feathers....... lol

paula eagleholic said...

Now at the back, facing out

stronghunter said...

Getting dark.

Mema Jo said...

I have to run - dinner at son's & don't want to miss it......

I think he'll go poof shortly.....

paula eagleholic said...

Have a nice dinner, Jo.

paula eagleholic said...

Doing a little digging

paula eagleholic said...

Gonna poof?

paula eagleholic said...

think he's gone this time...

stronghunter said...

Poofed again.

stronghunter said...

Back to the test.

NCSuzan said...

What a nice visit. I do not know how to take pics.

Shirley, what a scare for you and your daughter today. Hope she will be ok.

Paula, you are an inspiration. Sounds like you got most if not all of your list done.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely afternoon.

paula eagleholic said...

Still working on my inside list :)

I try to get a lot done on Sunday, it's my only day to do so for outside.

paula eagleholic said...

And some days are better than others at getting things done :)

Lynne2 said...

oh Shirley so sorry about Kathryn's fall in the tub. I pray that she won't be to sore. Thank God you were home at the time!

I've been having lots of "interruptions" in the cam signal today, especially given that I haven't been watching but for a few minutes here and there. Also had some colorful digital breakup.....hey, maybe it's due to impending equipment changes!

Costume Lady said...

I sure do hope Jo gets something to eat at her son's. I just read that she was going to her son's for dinner and then he went POOF!

NCSuzan said...

Paula, that is such a true statement. Some days we are in to doing it and at other times it is the last thing on our minds.

Costume Lady said...

I have a funny ladder story, too.
Gene was up on the roof one day and said he didn't trust the ladder, so I was to go out and check on him if I heard him banging on the side of the house. Well, after about a half hour, I heard him banging and paid no attention to him, assuming her was pounding nails. Banging stopped, then started again...of and on for some time. Finally, I decided to go out and see how he was coming along with his repairs, and there he was standing on the roof and the ladder had fallen to the ground. He was NOT a happy camper!:) Moral of this story, if you hear your man banging on your house, it doesn't always mean he is making repairs;)

NCSuzan said...

Oh Wanda. LOL Did he wonder if you were ever going to check on him?

Costume Lady said...

Our Thanksgiving meal at church was very good. We had a ton of everything. Everyone must have eaten 2nds and 3rds, but still a lot left over. Sooo, Soup Kitchen is all set with food for Tuesday!
Everything that we planned for that menu is sitting in the fridge, just waiting to go onto some one's plate. Congregation brought in desserts...OH MY, such an array of wonderful caloric delicacies!
That was a lot of work...2 days worth. Dustin was a great help, even scrubbed the floor last night and washed dishes today:)

Costume Lady said...

Yes, Suzan, he did say he thought I must have gone to sleep!;)
I felt so bad, because he is squeamish about heights~

Lolly said...

Well, missed the nest visit once again. Story of my life.

Shirley, so sorry about Kathryn's fall. Did she put ice on anything? Oh, afraid she is going to be very sore tomorrow.

Costume Lady said...

Oh, poor Kathryn...no doubt she will be sore tomorrow. Hope she didn't break anything. Sometimes a break doesn't show up for a few days:( Give her a ((( hug))) for me.

Costume Lady said...

Where would I find a picture of Lynn's baby? I'll look on her blog.

Costume Lady said...

I found the baby...she is precious! I can see her now, all cuddled up on the couch beside Lynn:)

PA Nana said...

Hi everyone. Saw the eagle(s) as soon as I open the live cam. Awesome!

Lynn, your puppy is adorable. Have you given her a name?

Anxiously waiting for an update on Judie as prayers continue for her rapid healing. Would someone please email me her address?

Loretta, so glad Frank got up & down safely. We don't want to hear of any more missteps.

Lynne, glad you're feeling much better.

Margy, I missed ISS tonight. Darn.
As soon as I read your post I looked my area up but I was too late.

Shirley, glad you were home when Kathryn fell. Hope she's not too sore today.

Must go order pizza delivery. It's football today and my teams play tonight so I'll probably not be back. Prayers for all good health and healing.

God bless

paula eagleholic said...

I haven't seen Challenger in awhile, thought ya'll might like to see him too. We'll have to remember that he's going to fly at the Fiesta Bowl!

paula eagleholic said...

That's a funny ladder story, Wanda!

I'll bet Dustin had his fill!

Diann, enjoy the pizza and the game!

paula eagleholic said...

Would you believe I am still eating garden tomatoes? The ones I picked 2 weeks ago are still ripening :) Maybe Michael won't forget his maters this time :)

magpie said...

Oh what I would do for a fresh garden tomato...like drive to
Emmitsburg !!

Hello Eagle Pals

Missed the visit, but did see ISS from where I was....once it came out of the clouds in the West, it was brilliant

magpie said...

Lolly - did you see Rhyan ??

magpie said...

Shirley - am also sorry to hear about Kathryn's fall in the bathtub...

I live alone, take the phones into the bathroom with me and try to make sure I can reach one of them in case I fall... AND I have a key hidden outside...just in case....
I need one of those bars in the tub though....

magpie said...

Wanda - - really sounds like everything went well this week-end, and how about that Dustin !

So happy to hear about it, and leftovers for Tuesday night also

magpie said...

I knew it was going to happen soon:

Saw two houses near where I live, with their outside Christmas decoration lights on....

magpie said...

saw a flock of beautiful wild turkeys late this afternoon, browsing in a pasture at the edge of some woods, thought they were Canada Geese at first, because I was not expecting to see Turkeys!

wvgal_dana said...

Lynn-Hedgie with Cinnamon eating
a whole bar of soap. There were
no "bubbles" where there LOL but
have to admit that would have
scared me to dead.

Awwww puppy is so cute and cuddlie.
I want to pet her.

Wanda glad there was plenty of leftovers so that way Tuesday is all ready to go.

Shirley prayers that Kathryn, I'm afraid she is goint to be sore tomorrow.
Thank God it wasn't worse.

Enjoy dinner at son's Jo and Ed.

See the eagles arrived. Yes Paula
I have had digital break up yesterday and this morning.

Hedgie-Lynn enjoy your dinner out.

Wanda love Gene's story "up on the roof top".
Glad you finally checked on him.

Hi NCSuzan.

Thanks Paula for the link for Challenger ( :

Diann now I just wonder who you will be rooting for while your enjoying that pizza
lol

By the way this will be my 1st game since Ed passed. I just couldn't watch any football. I am pass that and read to go tonight!!

Yep Margy it is that time of year. People will be lighting up from now until after Christmas.

stronghunter said...

Margy, one thing you do not normally have around (maybe sometimes)--a nine year old soap mutilator who leaves the tub slippery.

magpie said...

funny,
I haven't had a bar of soap around here for a long time, except one pretty lemon glycerine bar from a Nature store that I leave out....
mostly for looking at ☺
been using bath and shower gel for years, and Jason's liquid soap,
started because where I lived before had really hard water, too much soap scum

magpie said...

but demolishing a bar of soap sounds like an awful lot of fun!

PA Nana said...

Just a quickie look to see if there has been any news about Judie.

Yes, Paula, the pizza was exceptionally good tonight.

Dana, both of these teams are my favs, but I have to go with the local one. Go Steelers!!

Wanda, your Dustin is a remarkable young man!

... going, going, gone.

magpie said...

just wanted to say....
sure appreciate our teachers on here and everywhere

something I just saw on PBS reminded me of that, and how important you are and will continue to be for folks like my little grandson and children and students everywhere, of all ages

Thank You !!

paula eagleholic said...

Margy, there are Christmas decorations up in my neighborhood too...haven't seen any lit yet tho.

Dana, enjoy the game! Glad you decided to watch :)

Got my inside chores done!! Yay! Only 2 more loads of laundry and I'm done!

Michael should be here soon, so if I disappear, you'll know why.

stronghunter said...

Haven't been out the last couple of days to see if there are any Christmas decorations around here, but I am sure there are.

Mema Jo said...

Home from dinner & had a beautiful time.

Lolly-Norma Those cowboys did good.
Loved the photo of Jacob without one of his front teeth!

Hubby mentioned the other day of taking advantage of the weather to put outside Christmas lights up. I would not turn them on until after
Turkey Day.

Mema Jo said...

I mean I would wait until the 1st Sunday of Advent.

I am ready to watch a DVD movie - Marley & Me.

BBL

Lynne2 said...

Evening all!

Was hoping for some more news on Judie. I sure hope no news is good news!

Margy, how cool to see a flock of Turkeys!

Christmas lights already...UGH. Sometimes I feel like Thanksgiving is the "forgotten" holiday.
I know Lori's 97.1 Wash FM will be starting their Christmas music on Friday. I suspect Baltimore 101.9 will start theirs the same day as well. double UGH. I guess I am just one of those old school folk who likes to hold out til AFTER Thanksgiving! Although, that didn't stop me from watching a couple of Hallmark Christmas movies today!

SO glad to be feeling better, but not ready to eat yet. Friday night was so horrible...I have no idea what I would have done if I was still single and living alone, I was THAT sick.

I'm heading for tea and TV...hope everyone has a good night and prayers for all!

GO STEELERS!

stronghunter said...

Good to hear that you are feeling better, Lynne. It sounds like you really had a rough time.

magpie said...

So glad your recovery has been sustained, Lynne.

The night bandit has struck, and I can't get any police help from Judie tonight :(

Thinking of her and Frank....and how things are going

going to bed now on freshly-placed flannel sheets, and some handfuls of prayers for many things

Good Night, and
God Bless Us, Every One

Lynne2 said...

I sure did Shirley, it was actually almost violent. Glad it's over! And I sure hope Kathryn is OK, too.

mmmmmm....flannel sheets! think I'll get mine on soon too!

stronghunter said...

Kathryn and Hunter have gone upstairs. Kathryn did take one of the pills I have for my aching shoulder. She is plumb wore out.

I went up and made Hunter's bed. She was in so much pain she couldn't manage it. The plan was for me to help Hunter do it; I suppose I could have, but I took the easy route. She had stripped the bed this morning.

They did get the dogs out for a run this afternoon.

Mema Jo said...

Oh Man! Just have to have you see this

The Lions Sleep Tonight

Lynne2 said...

oh geez Shirley, that awful. Hope there is nothing serious going on...

OK tea ready....Good night friends!

stronghunter said...

Flannel sheets. I did have some around here for double beds, but not sure I can find them anymore.

I once read that the most comfortable combination is silk pajamas on flannel sheets. They recommended against flannel pajamas on flannel sheets. I can see where that could be a problem.

stronghunter said...

She has has shoulder trouble before. It may be a problem.

She does have a collection of bruises in various places. Not fun.

stronghunter said...

I am guessing that Frank spent most of the day at the hospital and if he is at home is very tired.

It would be nice to hear how Judie is doing, though.

stronghunter said...

I do not think I have ever had a pair of real, honest-to-goodness silk pajamas.

stronghunter said...

When I have worn silk, I have found it feels almost like you're not wearin' nothin'.

stronghunter said...

Love that view of the sleeping lions, Jo. Thanks.

stronghunter said...

I hope they get the new cam installed soon. I really want to see the new view.

There must be something about this camera that really attracts spiders. I do not remember it being quite this bad before.

Someone smart needs to invent a spider-proof camera.

stronghunter said...

Cuteness overload at the lion cam. There is a lot of bathing going on now.

hedgie said...

I'm home and settled in. THings went well. Saw a lot of retirees from work.....of course, Bill and Rose were both retired from there, too.
Funeral is tomorrow at 1.
Saw decorations up at a lot of places this evening. City has even already mounted and turned on the candle wreaths on light posts.
ISS was not visible for me---think it was too cloudy. Had rain on the way home, but not back my way---at least not yet.
Sure hope everyone who is hurting or feeling puny is 100% by morning.
So glad you like my puppy!

hedgie said...

Diann, you have email.
Wishing Frank would pop in with update on Judie.....

stronghunter said...

Now there is nursing, except one little cub is biting mom's tail.

stronghunter said...

Hi, Lynn.

Good to know that things went well.

hedgie said...

Jo, hope you have the tissues out. I cried through the whole movie....took me a long time to decide to watch it---I had read the book.

Wanda, glad that you don't have to start from scratch on cooking for Tues.!

stronghunter said...

Going to head upstairs now. I am turning on the night light for Judie again. I feel that I accomplished a lot today, but there is much more to do yet.

Take care, everyone. God bless.

Lolly said...

Good evening! Yes, I saw Rhyan! She is a beautiful baby and a good baby. No fussing! I walked in and took her from her Daddy. Got to hold her a lot...and oh did it feel good! She is 5 weeks old now.

Laurel said Jacob was sooo thrilled to loose that tooth. She said he was just bouncing he was so excited.

Yes, the Boys finally won. LOL Laurel was saying that's my Jason that won! Jason is the new coach. He was back up quarterback when she got married. She was having a bachlorette party at Joe T's and Jason was there. His wife is a friend of Ashley's and he signed Laurel's leg. Therefore he is "Laurel's Jason."

Lolly said...

We saw lights on a house tonight too. First I have seen.

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Everyone,

Dropping in to say goodnight. Hubby and I really enjoyed the movie, "Unstoppable"! Denzel Washington was really good, as usual. The story is based on true events, so that made it even scarier. It's about an unmanned, runaway freight train that's carrying various toxic substances through several Pennsylvania towns. An adrenalin rush from the get-go!

I see there are no updates on Judie. Sure hope she is doing well! Hope Darth is able to get some rest, too. Must be very stressful for him.

Shirley, I hope Kathryn is able to rest well tonight. If so, that may help a lot. Your pain medication should take the edge off of it, too.
Hope she feels better tomorrow! Hope you have been able to put a dent in all that school work, too! BTW, you're right about flannel jammies with flannel sheets. They stick to each other like Velcro, so not good if you plan to move or turn over!

Wanda, that's great that there are enough leftovers to cover Tuesday night! Sure sounds yummy!

Lynne, glad you're much better. Sure sounds like you've had an awful time!
Hope tomorrow brings even more improvement!

Well, I'm hoping that no news about Judie is good news! I hope she is able to rest, isn't in pain, and isn't too worried about the big schoolhouse! Prayers continue for her rapid healing! Prayers for Darth, too. He must be so worried about her!

Think I am going to call it a night. Shirley, thank you for turning on the night light. I'm making sure the porch light is on. OK, everyone, no more trips and falls allowed here! Pray that everyone will be sure-footed!
Have said prayers for everyone. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Sleep tight, and I'll talk to you tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]

Good morning all!

I just read the message from Frank. It is good to hear from him. I hope Judie has a much better day with less pain today. Make that no pain today.

Funny that she can't remember much about her therapy but can remember to tell Frank to turn on the night light. That's our Judie.

Yes, I got up early and checked the blog just to see if there would be a message from Frank.

Bye for now.

Well, as has happened to a couple of you, my bird feeders are lonely! Can't figure why....but for 2 days now I haven't seen a single bird at any of them. And just a few days ago, it was like a riot squad every day, especially in the AM. I must say, it's kind of creepy.

Glad to read the message from Darth. Poor Judie. Hope her pain gets better under control today. I'm sure she is anxious to get home.

Babysitting for the day shortly, have some things to take care of first...be back later, have a good day everyone!

I just wrote a book about how my shop got started and nearly closed because of the economy, not unlike the Red Byrd restaurant...Error 503 ate it up and I didn't copy it!:(

Sorry that you have to go to work on your day off, Margy:(

Megan sad news about the Red Byrd Resturant.
Dang enecomy...

See Margy seen the eagles this AM already. Early visit.

Margy hope you only have half day to work today.

So glad Frank came in to update us on Judie. At first part of his report worried me about her pain. The later 5 out of 10 instead of 10
out of 10 and on pills now. She is so worried about her classes. I hope she gets some rest.
It would help the healing so much faster and better for her. Frank (Darth) you did a GREAT
JOB thank you. ( :

I have birds at the feeder as soon as I open the curtain. They have been feeding before I wake.

I keep hearing a beep, beep for a truck backing up. Would be nice if it was the one to fit the HD cam.

Good morning.
SO glad to hear from Darth, but feeling so bad for Judie still having so much pain. Wondering why they dc'd the pump and hoping the oral doses don't make her nauseated.

Margy, sorry you got tagged for work. Are you saying that someone didn't show up and can't be reached by phone? Hope everything is okay in that regard.

They still have time to get that HD up there. Eggs laid around Jan 31 for us and Norfolk, Jan 20 for BWE. So there really is still time. Just hoping weather stays nice so they can get it up there.

Good Morning everyone. Good to hear an update on Judie. Wonder why the surgeon has not spoken to her husband yet? So sorry she is in pain at any number. Sounds like everyone is busy this morning. Hope it is a good day for all.

NCSuzan said...

We have just moved to this city and have only hung one feeder. A little activity but not like we are used to seeing. Saw tons of bluebirds when they tried to seed the empty lot next door so I know birds are here!!

NCSuzan said...

Going to get dressed and try to make myself presentable. LOL

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Lolly and NCSuzan.

Oh Lolly Jack is like it says "Jack Of All Trades"..you can tell him I said that lol

Suzan do you have a busy day today. Keep feeding those birds. More will come in also during spring time feedings.

I have been all over the place at cams. Seen a few deer, turkeys, squirrels, birds that is about it so far.

Thank you Frank for Judie's update. I wish her well with therapy - probably
will encounter getting out of the bed into a wheel chair... I miss her and pray that any pain & discomfort will be gone soon.

Megan - I am so upset about the Red Bird - had I only know I would have been down there Sunday. My fries and steak & cheese I will greatly miss.

Mema Jo said...

Nothing special going on here today
Feeding lots and lots of peanuts to lots and lots of squirrels and titmouse birds. Don't know where our
Blue Jays are - probably got tired of peanuts.

Time for my brunch and then street clothes.......

NCSuzan said...

Dana, hi! Yes i have been bird feeding for years. I know they will eventually come to eat and then I will complain because they eat too much!! No,not much planned for the day. Like you, I checked the cams will read the news and play with the cats when they wake up! Sue to my health, there isn't a lot I can do physically but I try to make up for it in other ways. Hope your day is going to be perfect.

Got an email from Frank/Darth....Judie told him about not posting the address here, so I gave him instructions on how to remove. She is feeling a bit better....but balloon in the planter I sent scared her during the night----vent was making it move and she thought she had a visitor in her windowsill!

Service is at 1pm, Dana.

Time to start getting ready. Hoping rain holds off until tonight so I can get some more leaf work done later this afternoon.

Talk to you all later.

wvgal_dana said...

Judie only got scared because of the DRUGS---remember she is the "police woman"!!!

Glad you got Frank to remove that address Lynn-Hedgie.

Hedgie-Lynn as far as prayers for the Lynn that babysit for you. Gal those prayers are heading upwards. God knows all the different Lynn's. So HE will have no problem. God be with her.

NCSuzan wish their was more you could do. It is so nice though that we have computers that help at times like what you are going through. Keeps one sane (well as long as they work right).

Going to start vacuum here. Want things clean before surgery. Should get the time of surgery tomorrow.

Lynn-Hedgie prayers are with you and Bill and family and friends at this time.

Jo "NO MORE CHEESE FRIES FOR YOU :( from the Red Byrd...oh strawberry pie and desserts we all shared. Oh my darn economy!!

wvgal_dana said...

OH by the way have had up the lion cubs. Don't know where those rascals are chasing each other at. Maybe a medical exam has them occupied.

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Hedgie for getting the address off line. I sure anyone who needs it and didn't get it from the blog can email you.
Prayers for Lynn and her fight against cancer and all of those fighting with her.

Good Morning, Everyone,

I am SO glad to hear about Judie! Thank you, Darth, for your report.
Hope they can figure out a way to make Judie pain-FREE. Lynn, I agree that they won't send her home until she can ambulate a bit--with crutches, or with a walker. They won't want her taking any more tumbles.

Sounds just like Judie to be telling Darth about the night light and the sandman, even though the information about her physical therapy evades her for now. If she is on some "powerful" oral pain killers, they may be trying to start her out on a lower dosage in the hopes that she will not have any nausea from them. If she's just too uncomfortable, I hope they adjust the dosage upward a bit.

Mema Jo said...

Dana - Frank apparently hasn't had time to delete his remark. Still on the blog.

Repeating Darth's Post

Hi Gang, Darth here.

Monday, 1:30 AM. Just woke up. Fell asleep in front of the TV since about 8:30 PM after spending most of the day with Judie.

She started the day in a lot of pain, with "more than 10" on a scale of 0 to 10. She has not been out of bed yet. I am told the surgery went well, but I have yet to talk directly to the surgeon who performed the operation.

They weaned her off of the morphine pump and now have her on some powerful pain killers administered orally.

When I left this evening, she said her pain was 5 on a scale of ten. She finally started to get some sleep.

She very much wants to go home and is very worried about her classes. She says she will be going to therapy today [but could not tell me what that means]. When you are drugged up, it is hard to remember things.

Not much more than that I can tell you. We are taking things a day at a time. I told her about you and your messages, your thoughts and your prayers. She sends you her love and her thanks. I pray she will be sitting here and writing you before too much longer.

I guess in her absence I am supposed to turn on some night light and send around the sand man. Consider it done. I will set it on automatic until she gets back.

God Bless you all.

Darth

Oh, what fun! Had to make our house payment online, and have been experiencing problems getting logged onto the website. Finally made it this morning, and scheduled the payment. Before I could print a confirmation number, got an "error message"! Called their cust. svc., and they show no record of a payment. Said I need to reschedule a payment, but I want to be sure it doesn't get paid TWICE. Don't you just love computers?! Sigh....
