NORMA, there are not enough words in my vocabulary to express how I am feeling about COMCAST....might really have to look into VERIZON FIOS when I have time..
THANKS STEVE!!----& WANDA!!---It is a GLORIOUS DAY here in WV-- BLUE SKIES--SUN IS SHINING---BIRDS ARE SINGING-----temp. is a COOL 55°--was 50° earlier!!!----LIFE IS GOOD!!!----ENJOY!!----Bet the 'AWESOME 3' have thoughts of SOARING!!----today????
the beach is another world....I like it before the crowds come and then leave...OC had a 14% decrease in visitors this past weekend...seems like everyone stayed north, like Rehoboth and Dewey.....that makes me happy,,,stay up north!
Good morning!! Norma, I'm jealous of your temp. this morning. It is presently 76 and climbing. Today is lawn mowing day so we are getting out there very soon.
Can hear the birds singing on the cam. Neat!!
Hope all of you have a great day! Beware of possums!!
Good Morning Everyone! Another beautiful day of springlike weather. Yesterday was due date for the little new girl to make an appearance in Germany - but she decided she wasn't ready! MTBR
DEB---When I turned on my comp.--First thing I saw----"PIC of HILLARY" -- With MOUNT RUSHMORE in the background!!!---Are you close to that severe weather warning?----I PRAY YOU AREN'T!!!!
Good Morning Jo lol thought you was already here. hee hee
I just went outside to get the newspaper. Low and behold walking back up ramp. I looked towards bluebird box. Male checking out the box and female waiting. Don't know if Blue and Birdie are going to have another brood.
I did check no eggs in there yet. I just put my feeder back up yesterday. Might have to take it down again.
KIDS---I am sorry---i am not playing games---i will probably be there----(really want to)---Will know for sure this weekend!!---I know how much fun it is!!---
GOOD MORNING DANA...Most Bluebirds will raise two broods a year if they were successful with the first one. It might be a little while yet, but keep watching. You have been so blessed. My Mom's Bluebirds got chased away by sparrows. Their nest was nearly completed (Mom was so disappointed).
Look in on the STORKS!!!---#1 stork is growing fast!!----The steps of STORKS----MOM---#1 Stork----& other little storks!!----THEY are all so beautiful in that nest!----WHITE SNOWY FEATHERS!!!----
Morning, again, everyone. I am back up, I was awake on and off from 12:30 on with storms. No bad weather, but it seemed like every time I would go back to sleep the thunder would boom and wake me back up.
Yes, it is supposed to get bad later today. This first system is about done and then later today is when it is supposed to get bad. The weather guys aren't always right, though, so will wait and see.
The SJ chick was released onto the roof of the building. Before they put it on the roof, they sprayed it with water and put a quail out for it. The reason they sprayed it was to prevent it from trying to fly while they were releasing it. Clara watched the release and the falcon crew is monitoring the roof.
Deb the day I seen the mature eagle up close "Liberty" "really up close". Crows were dive bombing him. It was so hard to believe. He wasn't robbing their nest. I just laughed thinking "dumb crows".
Have you all ever watched the video on Glo's site where Spunky fledged? I watched it the other day and read my blow-by-blow and heart started beating fast all over again!
Hi Everyone!!! Got sound--can hear those "little flappers". Was scanning comments and Welcome to Magpie!! Lolly, your pics are beautiful & g'kids so cute. They must love visiting there!Might send your pics to my daughter---she lives outside Austin & has pretty much lost most of her plants---azaleas,armadillos doing night digging!), roses, etc. They have few acres of mostly trees & had to install sprinkler system just for the grass! Appears sweet little Buddy probably won't be released to the wild.Hurts my heart, but they can probably save him.I assume that to remove growth, he will lose some bone and other important tissue & since he's not full grown, will need other care. Wonder if they can do transplants or he can grow--bone, beak?
Nature.....ohhhh I HATE the armodillos. It usually starts in the summer. They have destroyed my lawn at times. Not my plants, but the grass. I get sooo mad!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!!
Good Afternoon everybody; Did i miss something,But i haven't heard from or seen suzanne here for some time.I hope that everything is ok. I am getting ready to head home in about 30 min.The eagles here are doing great so far new photos are posted.
Hi, Dave! Have been checking your pics---they are GREAT and you have a pretty clear view. I was able to get pic of TWO eaglets now where I work. Pust on blog.
OH SHARON!---Any time I see a pic of SPUNKY----I get all teary-eyed!! We don't seem to be as close to these 3---or maybe it's just me!! One thing----Can't see in the nest as well as the first time!!!----I can't tell them apart & I haven't called them by a name---just a #!
The young will stay in the nest about 11 to 12 weeks when the adults will start encouraging them to fly. The eaglets can often be seen exercising their wings on the nest or on a nearby branch several days prior to fledging (first flight from the nest).
Thanks for all the welcomes, friends. I have learned so much reading the blogs for months, and keep adding new cam sites to my "favorites," thanks to all of you. So now I can access more and learn more! Looking forward to June 7 - and Paula, I will be sporting my new Eagle Pin! I have live feed and sound for NCTC, but had to reset it just once.
Hi all. Great Associted Press article in local newspaper today about the peregrine falcon relocation/restoration program at New River. (Ongoing efforts to rescue fledglings from bridge nests in East region, put them in cliffside "condos" for short time and then release.) Info on program and a link to webcam at: www.nps.gov/neri I couldn't get the cam open, nor any luck w/ tracking the individuals that have been banded, but sometimes it's just a matter of the server getting too many hits. Can't find the AP article on the web, so if anyone would like it, I can scan and e-mail it to you. Let me know at: robinwd@aol.com

This is not good! Went to Finland on the water, there is no osprey on the nest. When I went to bed there was no osprey on the nest!
Lolly, I am not a regular viewer of the Finland Nest...are there any eggs there?
Yes, and one egg is in view. She has been on that nest for some time now.
I have enjoyed watching that cam as it is so pretty. Also, it has been fun watching the boats go by.

Bless you (sneezey Pearl)
Eagle getting dive bombed at BC while trying to feed eaglet - looks to be a fish crow.
They are sure brave, do the eagles ever go after them?
Eagle on limb in Kent
Both parent with food at CT osprey
Deb the day I seen the mature eagle up close "Liberty" "really up close". Crows were dive bombing him. It was so hard to believe. He wasn't robbing their nest. I just laughed thinking "dumb crows".
Parent at BC to chase the fishcrows away.
Mits when you get back Comcast page has been working.
Did you see the male ... Little Bit I think? He's really "flying" all around the nest, and he actually gets a couple of feet into the air!
C(°ï®¡°)D
Jim
If those eaglets don't get fed soon, they may fly down and get their own meal. Come on Pearl, you can do it!
Have you all ever watched the video on Glo's site where Spunky fledged? I watched it the other day and read my blow-by-blow and heart started beating fast all over again!
That is, those of you who weren't around then!
They are all peering down that right side...
Sharon - I found my copy of Spunky's fledge...I still had it in my email...watched it a couple of weeks ago...
Do you reckon these will fledge from there too?
Hi Everyone!!! Got sound--can hear those "little flappers".

The young will stay in the nest about 11 to 12 weeks when the adults will start encouraging them to fly. The eaglets can often be seen exercising their wings on the nest or on a nearby branch several days prior to fledging (first flight from the nest).
