Thanks for the new thread, Steven, and the heads up, Megan. Brought this over from other thread.
Morning, Ceil. Thanks for the PA info. When did the 4th one hatch, do you know? I definately saw one egg this morning, near her butt, but haven't been able to count the chicks yet. I'm waiting for a good luck with dad brings food for breakfast. And having said that, I can see only 1 egg now. So they're very close together!
Our kids are waking up again, but no food has been delivered.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!---It is a BEAUTIFUL SUNNY a.m. here in WV----"HOME OF BELLE & LIBERTY--PLUS 3"----temp. is 39°----They are a bit hard to tell apart--growing so fast!!---WISHING EVERYONE A GLORIOUS DAY!!---ENJOY & REMEMBER!!---LIFE IS GOOD!!!---ENJOY watching the 'AWESOME 3' -- Don't forget our favorite photographer is having a BIRTHDAY today!!----HAPPY--HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!!----ENJOY YOUR 40th!!!---
Hello Norma:) I am trying to enjoy watching the awesome three, but I can't see them!! ANd my computer time this morning is about over-plants are calling..
Think our kids are eating, looks like Lib in the nest with them. Also looks like they're feeding themselves! At least the oldest one, middle one is watching, and our little scrappy is over by Lib's perch.
SUZANNE!---They are like a wild onion----Grow high in the mountains & folks years ago called them a spring tonic!!---Now they serve them raw--fried--w/potatoes ---eggs & ham, etc.---corn bread--all kinds of food!---even in cake!!---They are truly an acquired taste!!---& SMELL TO HIGH HEAVEN!!----ho!
Mom's off the babies again. They're adorable. Going to sleep, I think. When one moves, they all move. They have the egg right in the middle of them, adorable!
Hello Wanda:) the flower in my pic is from a scented geranium that was blooming a few weeks ago in my gh. Gotta run, busy week, lots of planting to do. Gotta go fertilize gh with fish fetilizer-stinky but plants love it!! I did send Steve an email detailing live feed issues. later-
Mom brought breakfast with her, but one of the chicks woke up and has mouth wide open. Here mom thought she was gonna eat! She is eating too, and chick is sitting with mouth open, just in case mom wants to share. Oops, head got heavy, he fell over. Thanks, Norma, I couldn't remember exactly. Thought they were some kind of onion from the discussion on here last year. Morning, Wanda. Sorry live feed is still down. Megan can't get the 30 sec cam, can you?
Uh oh, one chick got turned around and can't get back to facing mom. Still has mouth open, though. Other 3 are eating like mad, she sure feeds them fast.
CHECK PA FALCONS!!---Mom is feeding the little white cotton balls!!---ADORABLE!!---We must enjoy them now!---Soon their little nest gets very dirty very fast!!---Not like our neat EAGLETS!!---SUZANNE--Didn't you say you saw the other egg?---
Yes, Norma. Still one to go. Don't see it now, it's on the other side of the chicks, I think. But saw it several times this morning. When did the 4th chick hatch?
I have a greater respect for the PERGRINE FALCON since I watched them on PBS!!!---They are truly 'faster than a speeding bullet'---eye sight unbelievable!!----Looking forward to the banding too!!
SUZANNE---I watched Sun. a.m.---They kept trying to get out---in fact---they moved so much---she looked as if she were 'rockin' & rollin'----Her whole body shook!!-----didn't get to see more than one or so!---She must be worn out!!--They are slow to update there!!
Yes they are! They used to be right on the ball, but that person must have left, and the replacement doesn't update very often! Keep watching this morning, I've seen all 4 get lots of food, and they're all around the one egg. Hope it hatches today.
YEAH!!---I see the egg---why isn't she sitting on it?----I haven't seen DAD either---Yesterday--she kept calling---but he never arrived!!----There is such traffic noise there---trains too!!
Mom is really huffing now! She's trying to get those chicks and egg under her, just wiggling. Can't get them all to fit. She's sure trying hard, though!
Norma, he was there this morning. And he's been on top of the nest box, she was looking up quite a bit a little while ago. But I did see him this morning.
Thanks for all the Birthday greetings! 40! Ha ha Norma! Special thanks to Jo who sent me an eCard with a black cat. Our black cat passed away last summer from a heart condition. She was only 9. Sarah and I were in a PetSmart on Saturday and there was a black cat up for adoption from the Talbot Humane Society. 9 months old, so cute. It rolled over with all four paws in the air for us. We so wanted to take it home but we just can't count on how it would react with the other two. Our oldest is 16 now and in failing health. She would want nothing to do with another family member at this point.
Got some photos on Saturday, including a wet eagle and a killdeer sitting on 4 eggs in the middle of the Tubman trail parking lot at BW:
Paula - No, the first set of the wet eagle and the nest are at the Tubman trail at BW. I had never been there before two weeks ago. Very cool. You can clearly see the nest right from the parking lot. The eagle at the very end was in the stand of trees at the very end of the wildlife drive.
HEY BIRTHDAY BOY!!---Those are COOL pics!!----Love the TURTLE--in fact I love them all!!----I have a woodpecker in my lawn---She has a big hole in a locust tree!--goes in & out often---(could be eggs there?) He has been through 4 mates. The photography is fantastic. I really enjoyed watching!! If you get a chance - do the same as you will love it.
Paula, I hate to be dumb, but what Finney egg pic? Two of our kids are up by the tree, and think the little one is on Lib's perch in the back. These 2 look a lot larger than BWs pair. Course they've had about a gazillion more pounds of food to eat, too!
Norma, you still here? You asked (I think) about the bluebirds. They must have just hatched yesterday, they don't have any feathers yet. Little things are nekked!

Anne Marie emailed that she & Brandon this weekend watched the WA Wild Watch Bluebird cam & saw a very active bird. The nest would suggest a bluebird... Remember last year's mix up? The bluebird - then a swallow with those feathers - then the bluebird..... eggs upon eggs!
Time to start watching this one!
