Shared something on fb with you, Shirley, and Laurel. I thought it a great idea for Laurel to use with the boys. Well, especially with Jacob. Joseph is great about getting outside and being active. It is Jacob who wants to be on the ipad and computer all the time. She does need though to get them more involved with household chores!

Laurel says there has been no improvement with her elbow all week. She does have a doctors appointment Friday. Prayers please that the doctor says all is normal and she is healing as expected.

Seems the worst is over here. We did not get hail as Shirley did but had high winds and gully washing ran. Guess I won't have to water pots tomorrow. Glad Loretta found the kitties safe and was able to storm proof her outdoor things.

Sandperson's flight has been delayed due to inclement weather. Now on standby with a packed satchel. I did hear some stealthy foot steps near the stairs. Suspect it might be Evil Jufie. Probably wants to hitch a ride to Hoda's with Sandperson.
Night light is on. Safe and restful sleep for all.

NCTC EAGLETS BRANCHING HOOVERING POSSIBEL FLEDGE JUNE 11 The live cam has been offline for two weeks and today its wonderful to see it streaming again. The eagletts are nearly 11 weeks old so every day is precious now as they will soon fledge and start their independent lives as young juvenile eagles. In this footage we see both eagletts seated side by side enjoying a rest. Later one does some wingercising and it looked like it flew up to the branch located just off the nest near 11 oclock. Later the other juvie gets up and it looks like she flew right off the nest....but hard to know if that was a real fledge or not as this cam buffers but it sure looked like she flew right out of the nest....in any event its great to have the cam back even with the very limited view it looks like these two kids are definitely branching, hoovering and quite possibly there may have already been a fledge.

I have been house-sitting at a place "out in the country" for some friends, 10 mi from here, two dogs, one cat, one pet rabbit and a tankful of tropical fish.
There have TWO tornado warnings since this "gig" started....and I was out there for both, the house is set on property circled 'round
with very tall trees....
SCARED took on some new meanings for me this week. Managed to get the dogs and cat into the basement but could not move the rabbit or the fish....but we dodged the worst of things regardless. I would take the bunny out of the cage and let him run around if I need to.

and yes indeed sounds scary with tall tree My one tree in the back scares also tallest tree around for blocks a Australian pine such a messy crappy tree right over my car port so hence the top of the car port is always covered with its dropping all year long and its a pain to clean off with a rake on a ladder

I see one eaglet in the nest. Sitting at the 5 o'clock spot.
Headin out with Jordyn to the park they are done for now with my yard two loads I don't have to go with them on this load being we couldn't use the dump they wanted Free to dump because he had a commercial truck pulling the trail but it only cost me 19 to dump the first truck and that isn't bad so I gave them a 20 for the load they got now So I will see you all later maybe after visit with family

Seeing two eaglets. Windy at the nest. They do seem to like the bottom section of the nest.
Have been very frustrated with Comcast. I have spent about an hour and a half trying to make arrangements for them to pick up their equipment at my house. Had an appointment for a day in March. It snowed. They did not show and did not make another appointment.
Recently they have been calling saying that I've got their equipment and must return it. It seems the stuff is worth between $500 and $700, and they are holding about $50 of my money.
I have called them repeatedly to have my calls disconnected mid-conversation. Some have said they will pick up the equipment, some have said I will need to bring it to them, some have said I could send it via UPS, and so on. Some said things I did not understand because English is not their best language.
Eventually I got a woman who said that they would not pick up the equipment at my house because they would not do that for my account, and that I would have to call Comcast to find out why. Wow. She said that the reason they did not come before was because they were not allowed to because of this mysterious reason. (Honestly, I have not threatened any Comcast people, though my voice might have begun to sound like I might come through the phone.)
I asked to speak with this lady's supervisor. They are to pick up the equipment on Monday evening. And then, I do hope, I will get the money that remains in my account.
Now I am wondering if one of my neighbors threatened a Comcast person.
One eaglet (Prez?) sitting on the very edge of the nest. Nice to know that we do not need to worry about that anymore. When last we were able to see the nest, it would have had us all worrying.

Shirley, I got text messages saying I had equipment to return. I do not have equipment to return. I am using all of it. They said it was a company representing Comcast. I was thinking they might be shady. More will be revealed.
good afternoon to one and all. Thursday afternoon; the work week is just about done again.
had a crazy day today. odd day for me. first I had a cancellation @ 9:30...okay fine, I went and got my fishing license! I also bought a net and a book that lists west tn rivers/lakes, etc.
came back. my noon client showed up @ 11. all right.
then, my last client canceled....
so a co worker jumped on the table.
I was home by 2, and ran inside, changed into a swim suit AND got in the pool. tom and I floated for about an hour. I dozed off.
this weekend is exciting for Olivia....and us too. tomorrow night taking Tom and Chris to dinner for Fathers Day. There's a place out at Opry Mills called Claim Jumpers that Tom has wanted to try. So we have reservations there.
THEN we bring Lorelei home with us for the weekend and OIlivia goes with Chelsa and Chris....they are taking the older kids to Kentucky Kingdom up in Louisville. They will be back Sunday.
I think this will be a fun weekend!
Maybe going to see the Blue Angels....I see pool time in my future....playing with Lorelei...and we'd like to take the boat out maybe...
Well need to check on dinner. I have a pork roast in the rotisserie, some taters cooking and veggies too. yum yum yum.

I have no idea what the "mysterious reason" is. I was joking about the threats. I was astonished when the woman said there was some reason they would not come to pick up the equipment. It made no sense.
I got so many stories. One woman said that there is a Comcast center in Fredericksburg, so I asked for the phone number, and she said she would see if she could find it. Then I asked if she would call them to see if I could take the equipment there, but she said she was not allowed to make phone calls.
The phone number she gave me was for a county office in charge of all of the cable companies, not Comcast.
JUDIE: so sorry to have made you hungry!! i'm sitting here thinking about ice cream..... want some????

Hi all! Has been a frustrating day. We have had thunder, dark clouds, and sprinkles! Just sprinkles. Boo Hiss!
Went to my lunch/meeting and was home at 2:30. We to load food into the trailer refrig and it was not working. Anyway, it has been a puzzling day and it is cooling now, but the microwave is not working. Here is the deal, Jack was messing with the battery, hooked up the cables wrong, and apparently did some damage. Called the dealer, they can not repair until August!! So, we have a man coming to the house. Will cost us but we just want it repaired now. Jack is thinking now it is just a fuse.
So, frustrating!!!
Laurel and Joseph are home safe and sound, but now without some excitement today. They had the small church bus and a van. Laurel was in the van. The bus hit a deer and there was a lot of damage. However, plastic garbage bags and duct tape got them home. That is after cleaning up blood, fur, etc that came into the bus on the steps. Then about an hour from home the bus pull over and kids start piling fast off the bus. One of the girls threw up. So they then cleaned that us. As they were standing there, Brandie, the youth minister says "Laurel look there" and pointed. There coming down from the sky was a tornado!! They watched it for 10 minutes but it never came down and touched the ground, but they then thought we need to get out of here. They loaded up and drove, watching the tornado that doubled in size but never came down. She sent me a picture. It will probably get posted of fb. I'll share if it does.
Her arm is no better, maybe worse. She seems to be having spasms in the lower arm and she still has a lump. She sees the doctor in the morning. Sounds like possible torn ligaments or some such. We shall see.
So, you see why we are feeling a wee bet worn down this evening.

Thanks Jo for sending the video out to everyone - I keep watching it over and over. The video makes me think our juvies haven't actually taken off yet. I guess we won't know until/unless someone at NCTC tells us what they're actually seeing.
My to-do list is long - not sure where to start. I still haven't switched the winter clothes out of my closet and put the summer ones in so that's one option. I also have a lot of dirty windows and screens that need washing. Guess nothing will get done if I keep sitting here so ... LATER!

Am very excited. A former adult student who was a police officer in a nearby town moved back to Houston to be near her family. She is now a detective. While she lived here, I met her mother several times. They have chosen to spend their vacation week with us and arrive Monday afternoon. Weekend will be spent sprucing up.

Hi all! Trailer is fixed we are loading. Tomorrow afternoon we are going to Dallas, spending the night, and coming home Sunday morning. We leave for CO early Monday morning.
Laurel did go to the orthopedic doctor today. Good news and bad news. Her elbow was fractured in two places, he told her to move it to keep it from freezing up. Well, one fracture has all but healed and no more danger of freezing up. However, the other fracture has not started to heal. Since the danger of freezing up has passed she now has to keep her arm in a sling and do not use the arm for 4 weeks. He told her, I told you to move it and you did however the moving has kept the other fracture from healing. He is giving it some more time and if it does not heal she will have to have an artificial joint put in. We do NOT want that! I will be doing her hair all She can almost straighten her arm, however she can not rotate it to palm up. Extremely painful still. So, that is the scoop. Continue the prayers please!
Mowed this morning and have since washed my hair. Need to "fix" the do and run some errands.

So Darth had issues with Comcast? I am just hoping they pick up their danged equipment on Monday. One of the people I spoke with did say that I should be sure to get a receipt. That is an excellent idea.

Last day of school has come and gone for Hunter. Summer vacation lies ahead.
Good evening all! I opted for hard work today, since I was already hot and sweaty from tennis. All screens have been washed and all windows washed inside and outside. Had to stand on the 2nd story roof to wash the outsides of 10 windows - not my favorite thing to do.
Tomorrow I have tennis at 9am and then I'll either pack away the winter clothes (if it's hot) or work out in the garden if it's nice. This past winter really did a number on my shrubs. Oh by the way, the Japanese maple is dead. Denny hasn't given up on it yet but I have.
Shirley, congrats to Hunter on finishing his first year of middle school!

Local theatre put on a fantastic CHICAGO show last night...Sold Out and they were terrific!!!
Yesterday I left the flat at 8:30 AM and came back at 10:50 PM!!! It was great volunteering and yoga and visiting and laughing and I was so tired all I could do is sleep. Morning came by too fast and so headed out for yoga this morning and then walked the picket line with our Local Teacher as they have been locked out in the Province and the school district asked for their keys back!!! They needed our support so a few parents were out with them and a few supporters like me who know how brutal it can be in Education. I went to a Kootenay Spirit Festival meeting, and I think I am in for the evening now...
SHAR has been wonderful in helping me with 8.1 and I have my computer up and working and all seems to be going well now...I am still learning though...I have not downloaded any apps and I am not sure which ones to down load or where to find them...SHAR???
Oh Shirley. Summertime has arrived. Sure hope you and Kathryn have dreamed up a gazillion activities to keep Hunter busy with something other than the remotes. Isn't it so nice to see the rewards of flower planting? Bet they look beauteous.

Jordyn and my activities involved in doors all day Rain rain on and off most of the day so we went for breakfast for lunch she loves to do that and then we went to Largo Playworld with the 30ft slide and then to the Library we did go to Largo Park but to rained on then went to playworld Love it as long as you keep your arm band on you can leave and come back so that always is nice that is where we went back to after the Library
and darn it I left two umbrellas at the restaurant didn't realize it till late afternoon Didn't go back to get them I still have one in the truck
on the news right now there were a couple of water spouts on the beach at Passgrille didn't come on land
