I flushed out Mama Robin tonight...4 pretty eggs in the nest. Found another piece of one in the yard, but not sure where that nest is.

paula eagleholic said...

Lori, you just have to believe that you will do well on the test.

Kay, glad you are going to MI, it will be good for you, and glad you are feeling good enough to do it.

Yea for you Sandi on writing that letter about the Mom from HE**

Looks like our eaglets and Belle are getting wet. Not raining here yet.

Hoda, glad you are feeling better.

JO, the nest is directly across from Sunday's Lane, look along the tree line next to the river. It's a big sycamore that stands above all the rest.

Decided to hold off mowing till tomorrow night, cause of the rain threat.

paula eagleholic said...

Shep in with dinner, looks like a mammal. Belle grabbed it right away and has it at the noon spot. Can't see much of it now.

Hoda said...

SANDI!!! Ask that the kid be removed to someone else's care as this Mother crossed the line a Loooooooooooooooong time ago!
Hang in there...May Is just around the corner followed by June and SUMMER!

Very sad about Bangladesh...building codes there are not so good...The fire they had there before that was awful...I have to go read the news on that JUDYE. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Hoda said...

Thank you PAULA...

From under the cam:

to adjust your speaker volume. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.

paula eagleholic said...

Belle feeding the kids, they all look wet but not too soaked yet.

Hoda said...

Feeding...I can not get over how big Hedgie and Shamrock are...

Poop shoot and wingercise and they are strong those little ones. They do not fight much over food like they did last year. Maybe because they are closer in age?

Lolly said...

Have collapsed in my chair. Worked in the yard all day. Had a sweatshirt on as well as a light jacket. It has been very cool all day even though the sun was shining. Tomorrow going to mow and plant some more.

Watching Belle feeding the peaglets!

Lolly said...

Hoda, so glad you got to the doctor today and that you are on your way to healing. Was worried about you!!

Hoda said...

Gracious me one crop about to burst and now the feeding of the second chick!

paula eagleholic said...

Look at that chick standing! Love it.

paula eagleholic said...

Aw, side by side now. Think it's Hedgie on the right and Shamrock on the left.

Hoda said...

Thank you and Soory LOLLY and everyone else. I did not mean to worry you...I thought it would pass and only became concerned when the asthma kicked in. All is good and <<<>>>

Let us all focus on two PRECIOUS and Valuable members of our group...tomorrow LORI writes her exams and you are in my prayers and will light you a candle in the morning.

HEDGIE, LYNN I am sure we will all find our ways to honour you and tell you how much we love you and miss you. What an honour it is to call you a friend and what terrific daughters you have. So LYNN rest in peace friend, you will always be in our hearts. <♥♥♥>

magpie said...

I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy....Prayers for all involved....

Hoda said...

Yes very symbolic that LORI is taking her exam tomorrow. NURSE LYNN will guide her through, God Willing.

I still smile when I think of the Bunnies that PAULA posted yesterday on FB and my first thought when LOLLY said she is going to mow tomorrow was look out for bunnies!!!
Exciting about the robins too.

Has JUDIE told us any more information about the possible post retirement venture she was looking at? I keep looking to find out and I hope I did not miss one of her posts, so thought to ask...

How is that possible!!! I am hearing some sound from the nest...voices...and NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I have not eaten any brownies!!!

magpie said...

On a brighter note,
Carolyn got her requested days off ! That's the last thing I learned before I left work today....
after seeing her beautiful self!
I don't want to steal her thunder on announcing this, but I
did think it would bring us all
some Joy! ☺ ♥

Hoda said...

Yes muted MARGY and it sounds to me like men speaking! Getting clearer now...

magpie said...

I hear men talking...is it a recording? That in the world ??

Hoda said...

Belle flutters her wings...love it when she stretches them to get water off of them I suppose.

magpie said...

And I have NO other sound cams on at this time, ohhhh spooky !

magpie said...

LOL "That and What," just two one letter different....What in the world is what I meant !

Hoda said...

I think tomorrow has to be cleaning day for me...has anyone heard of cleaning walls with vinegar and lemon? I might try that tomorrow...

Hoda said...

Good grief! Fell asleep and woke up because I was hearing voices. Very strange. Had a brownie for dinner. Allergies encouraged me to inhale so feeling oh so happy now. Voices are telling me ♪♫All you need is love...♪♫

Hmmm, Sandperson does not like brownies and refuses to inhale so fails to see the love connection here. Is leaving to visit others. Restful sleep for all.

stronghunter said...

Hoda, I have been accused of hearing voices at the nest too. I am sure it was a car radio playing. Someone was parked near the nest entertaining the eagles with a little popular music.

With that said, I bid you all good night.

Rest well my friends.

Lynn was one in a million and I considered myself very blessed to have been her friend! My heart is heavy today.

Sending love and hugs of comfort once again to Carolyn and Christie as they remember their Mom and miss her so.

Love to all of you who were dear friends of Lynn. May you remember the good and fun memories of the light she brought into your life! She is lighting up Heaven now!

Jo, what utterly profound news for you. I am thrilled. I was also checking on the Red Tail that was in Portland. Here is a little news on that pair:
Fire Escape Red-tails: The hawks that nested on the fire escape and were featured on raptor cam from 2007-2012 appear to be once again attempting to nest on the Mark Hatfield Federal Building (the same location as last year). Unfortunately this site will not work for a camera installation because there are several obstructions blocking the view of the birds. Last year the hawks were not successful at this site---their eggs never hatched. Hopefully they will do better this year!

There was something very special about the two Momsters who are no longer at their earthly keyboards. They brought their knowledge, talents and love to each of us. Plus they each had a passion for animals that knew no bounds. I feel we are better as a group and as individuals for having Deb and Lynne in our lives. So on this anniversary of Lynne's passing I want to say thank you. You reached out and it was appreciated.

Some good phone conversations today got in the way of the major house cleaning I had planned. They were long. Susan my American sister is in the hospital as the chemo and radiation made her very sick. Her son said she sounded grateful for roses I sent her and yet she was not able to come to the phone.
Spoke to two other American siblings and we will all have to wait and see what comes next.

This might sound mean, but who in the heck gave my DIL a cat for her birthday? Poor cat, I wonder how long he will get to stay before he is given away. :(

She is my DIL, but she should not have any pets. She has given away every single pet she has owned...for one reason or another, they just "didn't work out"...and this is not just 1 or 2...it's more like 7 or 8. She just got rid of the beagle puppy about 3 weeks ago.

Makes me so mad! You don't get a pet, any kind of pet, and continually give ALL of them away because it doesn't work out

Sorry, I just had to vent!

Hoda said...

Vent away PAULA...fostering situation maybe and then she gives them away??? I think the one who gave it should be questioned...Maybe she should learn to say no thank you...

Well good evening everyone.

Lots of emotions today but mostly good -- remembering Lynn and believing she was an angel on Lori's shoulder, having students thank me for the class even when they don't know it is likely my last, finding out our credit card was red-flagged for fraud, being grateful I didn't try to buy groceries only to be mortified by credit card rejection, and finding out that Jo is free of spot and spots sidekick shadow.

Congratulations Lori. ♪♫You're Gonna Make It After All♪♫

Jo, cannot be happier and thrilled for you and all your family (biological and blog) who love and depend upon you. Super nice week for you when you add Travelin' Vinnie.

Hoda, so glad you are feeling better and, if I may say so, with your new status, next thing you'll be telling us you are Nelson's Ms. Senior of 2013.

Hi CarolAnne. Nice to have you visit.

Am tired of course. Going to put my feets up.

Sandperson will be on the way at 11pm. Restful sleep for all.

paula eagleholic said...

Hoda, no she does not foster...I question the person who gave it to her as well...not very smart of them.

paula eagleholic said...

Do I see small feathers falling down into the nest? Maybe Belle is up there preening.

paula eagleholic said...

Nope, Belle is at the top of the nest, I can see her digging in the bowl. Shep maybe...or perhaps some flower petals floating around, or bugs flying around.

Ha Ha Ha JUDIE Senior of the year??? I laughed my self silly when a Rotary Club member nominated me Citizen of the year this year!!! I said no thank you for the nomination to stand. Many long time senior citizens here who have been doing a lot for Nelson over the years...I am but a young one in comparison... Hilarious thoughthat I was nominated and NO I did not offer them any baked goods or $$$$ either for that matter!!! LOL !!!

Hello everyone. I posted on FB earlier about my ultrasound but that report wasn't right. I am not going to post the corrected one on their for now. The lesion is not cystic so I am not really sure what it is. It has grown about 0.5 cm since October. I could really use your prayers on this. I am a little worried but I feel it will all be alright. I love us.

This is neat, from Loch of the Lowe's, 3rd egg laid on April 24:

"It has been a fantastic week at Loch of the Lowes so far. We were delighted to see the arrival of a second egg earlier this week, so to see our resident female lay the 67th egg of her lifetime this morning was truly remarkable"

It has been a good day for me
I couldn't have asked for a better report on my lungs. I am thankful.

I have warm feelings by remembering Lynn. I am thankful she touched so many of our hearts.

Time to close down: I love us ♥

"Goodnight room, goodnight moon."

Sharon, you have our prayers for sure.

Congratulations, Judie!! You have ended one career. What now? Have you decided? Oh...you put your feet up. Good decision.

Hoda, you should not have turned down that nomination. You are a credit to the community. You are so involved. What an honor!!

Time for me to call it a day. Need to head to the shower. Yard work is dirty!!

Tomorrow I need to get to church and work on my garden there. My sister is at an RV park near us as they are headed to a rally. Tomorrow night we are headed to their RV for dinner.

Night all!! SED!!!

Saying good night after a very busy day. Closed on the new mortgage this morning. Another hug from the loan officer at the bank. Turns out her husband is a Baptist minister.

Can't wait to see what Judie will be up to next.

Fond memories of Lynn today.

Rest well, everyone. See you tomorrow.

I just finished reading today's comments on the Blog and a lot has been going on.
For some reason, I was thinking about CarolAnne yesterday and here she is today...so good to hear from her, have missed her adventures!

So happy for LORI and MEMA JO, wonderful things happening for both of them...praises!

Prayers for SHARON, that the next time she has a scan, the lesion or cyst-like object will be gone! (it happens!)

Doing the HAPPY DANCE for GG...after the 4 year absence of bluebirds from her yard, they have returned! I found a nest in a box by her grapevine, with one pretty, blue egg in it. I went to Pet Smart and bought some Mealworms and placed them near the nest, in hopes that they will keep the bluebirds hanging around!

Getting caught up on the yard work that has piled up over the years, that my knee wouldn't allow me to do. Still a lot to do, but my knee is working like a teenager's and that makes the work go easier and faster! Now, if my brain worked as well as my knee, I'd have it made;)

Today was a tearful day for those of us missing our dear friend, LYNN. Such a SPECIAL lady and we were all Blessed to have known and loved her.~♥~

Good night, love and prayers to you all ♥

Good morning my eagle friends - it's Friday!!! Looks like a beautiful weekend coming up here in Bethany.

Sharon, sending prayers and positive energy your way that you get an exact answer about the lesion on your kidney and a game plan for taking care of the problem.

Paula, safe trip to Paradise - enjoy your weekend!

Lori, congrats again on passing your test - I KNEW you could do it!!

Moon was beautiful last night. Looked for the ISS but couldn't find it, even though it was clear. Supposed to be very bright on Saturday evening around 8pm - maybe then.

Time for me to scoot and get ready for my last day before the weekend. Talked with both the superintendent and assistant superintendent yesterday - good conversations regarding next steps.

Make it a great day all!

JO, still smiling over your great lung report!

SHARON, prayers for you and that you get the exact diagnosis of the lesion. Big HUGS!

KAY, when do you leave on your vacation to MI?

YAY for GG and the bluebirds that have come home to her house!

PAULA, have an awesome weekend and safe travels. Keep your eyes to the sky and let us know what you see! Sorry about the DIL and kitty situation. Sad.

SANDI, glad your talks with the higher ups went well. Hopefully they'll have a solution, soon.

I'll be leaving for Maryland tomorrow morning - looking forward to seeing Kate and the critters!

I LOVE YOU ALL!
