Thanks Steve for the new thread! Shar, I wasn't sure if you were for real or if this was an April Fool's joke! Thanks for the call over!

Judie said...

Good morning.

Thank you Steve for the fresh first day of April thread.

Congrats and thanks to Shar.

Just tuned in to see a brief battle of the beaks. Looks as if the babes were basking in the sun and looking ever so cute.

Hoping to finish most of the remaining papers today so I'll BBL.

Have a terrific morning everyone.

Good Morning Eagle Pals...

Thanks to Steve for the new Fresh April Thread, and
to Sharon for the call over

We are due to get some more rain today, looks like Belle is getting ready for it now

Thinking of Christine right this very minute....with prayers that the surgery is going well...

Martinsburg has an Edible Arrangements store, on Foxcroft Avenue, not sure if Jefferson County has one or not, that is
the county NCTC is in

Janet Fog Lines are the white lines painted along the SIDES of the pavement of the highway....very helpful especially when vehicles are coming the other way because their lights can
make things even more difficult to see

Lori
Hoping those Flash Cards are coming along nicely...a good way
to study for things, for sure!
Wish I could spend some time with you on all this...
I remember all the terms in Anatomy and Physiology classes...
whew, they were rough to remember!
I'm mailing out Mathematics Dictionary today...hope it will help at least a little bit, but
I did not see the term "drams" in there.

also learning everyting in metric...kilograms and all that,
quite different from pound and ounces....Best Wishes!

magpie said...

I SEE all that poop shoot whitewash on the left of the nest...not sure we have really seen such a quantity as that
in past years! The Royal Babies' digestive systems are working great!

Shirley
happy that that Rus slayed the pesky old virus for you !

You too, Sandi!

Best Wishes to All, for a Very Good Day....whatever is on YOUR dance cards today....

must take the machete to checkbook, and do some run around town chores, and then hope to

Morning, all. I see fresh fish in the nest.

Mema Jo said...

Good morning THanks Steve for fresh new thread

Has anyone been watching the nest as to why the 2 chicks are alone

WVJerry said...

Good morning Jo. It's been that way no more than 10 minutes. I see a shadow so maybe an adult is in attic.

Mema Jo said...

Thanks Jerry - Looks as though little Hedgie has done a face plant but Shamrock is still looking all around.

I'll just keep faith in Belle and Shep that no harm will come to the little ones.

Mema Jo said...

Michael had just called from NC to say that Christine's surgery went well and that she was in recovery and she told them she wanted to come home today! I guess that says it all ♥

magpie said...

Howdy...
Belle got up, shook her wings a bit, then I think flew to a nearby perch in the tree...just what I am thinking right now...

WVJerry said...

Yeah. Maybe it's the angle of the camera but when they get close to the lower edge of the nest I think they are going overboard. Hope you are doing well this morning.

magpie said...

Yesindeedy, JO...that DOES say it all...Wonderful news, and
Thank You....
Hope Christine CAN go home today, that's the place to be ♥
with all those wonderful people
there !

WVJerry said...

Hi Margy. Good morning.

magpie said...

Howdy Jerry...going thrifting today?
probably a bit muddy for fishing!

magpie said...

Some of my plans just drastically changed..whale of a downpour
in my bathroom from the upstairs apartment...think something in their bathtub drain broke loose.
Big WOOF !!!

magpie said...

On that note:
See Y'all Later !!!

WVJerry said...

Wow Margy...better get going on your water problem. Was going out but wife and little dog she's watching this week are both asleep on the couch. I'll let them sleep and we can maybe go out later. Hope things aren't too bad with your incoming water there.

glo said...

yeah for Christine. prayers for an easy recovery.

Lolly said...

Good morning! Whoops! So very sorry Margy. That is a bummer! Good luck with getting the landlord right on it!

64 here right now and not a cloud in the sky.....a beautiful blue, no haze at all. After we walk think we are going to Fort Worth and the Botanical Gardens. A great day for it. I especially want to go to the Japanese Garden. It is absolutely beautiful and this time of year so much is in bloom.

So very happy, Jo, that Christine's surgery went well. Know that she will be relieved to have all of this over with and so neat she has her dad there.

Cam just shook, so know someone is in the attic.

Lolly said...

Well that link does not work. Will get rid of it!!!

DanaMo said...

Well, I'm back from my run. It wasn't pretty at all!! Not sure what to blame. Saturday's run was much better. Oh well. At least I got out there and did it. Now to stick to the meal plan. Very disgusted with myself. Gained everything back that I lost, not that it was nearly enough anyway. Back to ground zero.

Lolly said...

Will try that again, glad I checked.

Japanese Gardens

DanaMo said...

Saw on FB that Christine's surgery went well. Glad to hear it Jo!

There were some pretty bad April fools jokes on FB, Sharon and Bev! They weren't even close to believable! ;)

Mema Jo said...

I totally do NOT like water cleanups!
Good luck Margy!

Jenny is here - BBL

F Y I: Dad is in the nest

Lolly said...

Left for a second...very happy to see Shep in the nest. Look at those two travel across the nest to dad,. They want some, too!

Lolly said...

Oh, dear, Hedgie was not being nice to Sham, Cone on, Sham, lift up your head and fight for what's right.

FEEDING AT THE 5 SPOT

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Shep just did the wiggle wiggle down into the cup. The only problem was that he forgot to get the babes under him. :)

Sandi said...

In from digging in the dirt - nice day outside, sunny and close to 60 for a change. Getting cold again tomorrow! =(

Decided to dig up all my daffodil bulbs in the garden area between the 2 driveways. This is the 3rd year in a row they haven't bloomed! GRRR!! I think there are too many roots from the liriope that I planted a few years ago for the daffodils to get enough nutrients to bloom. I get lots of green stalks but no flowers! Will move them to another area where the daffodils are blooming fine.

Margy, so sorry about the water in your bathroom - what a mess that sounds like!!!

Lolly, those Japanese gardens are gorgeous!!

Jo, wonderful news about Christine!!

Dana, thanks for the video in FB of the duck embryo moving around inside the egg - too cool!!

Belle just arrived with more fresh grass. Both parents are spreading it around. I agree they need to start working on those rails!! The kids are moving everywhere already!

Sandi said...

Bell has now covered both chicks with the new grass she brought in. Maybe instinct is telling her that cold or bad weather is coming? Both babes must be asleep as the grass isn't moving.

Lynne2 said...

Hello, checking in from work, glad to hear Christine's surgery went well!

Lynne2 said...

Busy as all get out today...no surprise!

stronghunter said...

Good afternoon,

Finished my morning errands and had lunch. Not excited to have to pick up colonoscopy stuff, but must do it.

Wind blowing the grasses in the nest.

I checked the nest a bit earlier to find that the little ones were alone for a bit. They are under cover now. I hear chirps.

Oh good grief, Margy. So sorry about your water problems. Yikes, what a mess.

Lori O. said...

Good Afternoon!

MARGY, thanks for the math thoughts and Flash card momentum! I'm slowly getting through it. Already have close to 200 cards done. Physics is next. Can't wait for the math dictionary.

JO, great news about Christine's surgery! Tell Michael I said hello.

OH MARGY, so sorry about the water problem! BIG YUCKO!

Thanks STEVE for the new thread, and SHARON for the call over!

JERRY, nice to see you on so much today! Hope all is going well.

SANDI, good for you getting out in the dirt. We had snow this morning, but it didn't stick anywhere.

JUDIE, good luck on finishing up grading your papers.

Think it's almost time for a nap!

NatureNut said...

Happy Day after Easter! I added a couple "survivor" pics to the Nook!

Margy, holy smokes! Hope somebody upstairs can turn off the water!Hope it's repaired ASAP!

So glad to hear Christine is doing OK. Prayers for her.

Sun is out, kids are eating again. They are in the cup.

Judie said...

Afternoon everyone.

Margy, so sorry for the mess at your place. Hope by now the landlord has taken control to get the necessary repairs (and help with your cleanup).

Hi Jerry.

See the babes getting some late lunch.

Jo, so pleased to know that Michael says Christine is doing well and surgery was apparently successful. Sigh of relief.

Lori, not sure I understand the flash cards. Can you use them for exams or only for studying? I remember some stats profs would allow one page of formulas for exams. Making progress on the papers but, as usual, a slow process.

BBL

stronghunter said...

Feeding. Chirping. I think that's Belle.

Windy at the nest and windy here.

Judie said...

Ooooo! Nats 1 the other team 0 Can hear Loweeda all the way over here.

stronghunter said...

Hi Judie, you are definitely earning your pay. Hope you are almost finished with those papers.

stronghunter said...

It's spring! It's baseball season! Hunter's practices started on Saturday. Same team as last year, but different coach.

Hoda said...

The BBC reports a 100 car pile up on the roads in Virginia! I hope you are all safe

Hoda said...

I hope the papers are almost done JUDIE

Good luck LORI flash card studying is effective. We are metric in Canada but it must be confusing to you in the USA

stronghunter said...

Metric can be confusing if you are used to yards, feet, inches, and so on. But the truth is that metric is much more logical.

stronghunter said...

Not that I don't have issues with the metric system, too.

stronghunter said...

The accident was near Fancy Gap, Hoda. My news says 75 vehicles were involved in the accident on I-77 on the North Carolina border. Looks pretty awful, but I can't think of any Momsters living there. I do hope all of us are well. Looks like three people were killed and 25 taken to the hospital. It was very foggy when the accident happened.

Guess our Southern Delegation would be the closest to Fancy Gap.

stronghunter said...

Watching the news from North Korea. The adopted daughter of one of my good friends just returned from a teaching job in South Korea (her homeland). I am sure her American family is happy she is back with them.

stronghunter said...

Belle moved off the eaglets. There was some sibling rivalry immediately.

Belle took off straight up.

stronghunter said...

Got sound turned up, but not hearing anything but the wind.

Kay said...

Good Afternoon and Happy April Fool's Day dear Eagle Buds !

JO, I'm positively elated with the Christine news ! God is good !

Oh, MARGY, another flood from above. Arrrrrggggghhhh ! Hope for a quick and complete fix ! Wish those folks would move, though I guess plumbing woes are not their fault entirely. Or do they let the tub run over ????

LOLLY, such sad and distressing news out of Kaufman County Texas ! Sure hope the authorities zero in on the perps, and fast !!!!

DANA, don't kick yourself over the relapse, just go for a new beginning and I wish you great success !

Had a wonderful Easter weekend with the kids in spite of rainy, cold to cold weather. Haven't read back to the "old" thread, but trust it was a good holiday for y'all !

Seth is on Spring break this week and his parents aren't, so grandmother and Penny will be spending a lot of time with him and Malcolm.

Will keep looking in on our precious little Eagle family---love those parents and Hedgie n' Shamrock, too !

Love and prayers for all !

Mema Jo said...

From Christine: My surgery went well. They said my gallbladder was really big but were able to get it out laproscopic. I went in around 7:30 and was out and coming home at like 11:30. The only problem they had. Was getting my breathing tube out it took like 30 min. I came home and took a two hour nap. Thinking I may take another one:)

I am so thankful for this outcome!

Sandi said...

Jo, what a terrific report from Christine!! Glad she's home with people who love her to take care of her!!

Judie said...

Giving up the grading for today. Eyes are blurry and tired. About 75% done. Will tell the students tomorrow that I ran out of Jack Daniels.

Congrats to the Nats.

So happy Christine is home and apparently doing very nicely. Happy dance!

Shirley, glad your friend's daughter has arrived safely home.

Thinking of Kay, Seth, and Malcolm all having fun together. Enjoy.

Don't fret Dana. You'll soon be back to where you were and then be on your way.

See the babes plotzed in the late afternoon sun.

Okay, baby back bbq ribs and Cole slaw tonight.

Also Norton came up with Auto protect is processing security risk Trojan, Dropper along with a warning of Ad wear so I uninstalled it from my control panel but had the hardest time getting it off of Google Chrome It wasn't on IE anylonger but being it was a google product and search engine it didn't want to go away from Google I reported it to them What a PIA for sure

I snipped a picture of the RED icon that came up with the trojan warning

pretty windy at our nest...was going to walk the dog, but it's rather chilly out.

Belle has the kids covered in fluff.

paula eagleholic said...

Supposed to be below freezing just about every night this week.

Think it's eatin' time. Nice wing stretch.

Mema Jo said...

Just returned from the Red Lobster - We still had gift card from Christmas present..

Our nest looks calm - I think that the adults more often will stay above the nest on guard as long as the weather is good and for longer lengths of time. lol Hard to sit on two of them and there comes one little one peeking out from under the fluff.........

Going in to watch some news and game shows......
BBL this evening.

paula eagleholic said...

Big PS, made it all the way across and out of the nest. I see where they had hitting that tree trunk, LOL

paula eagleholic said...

Belle grabbed a bunny leg that was by the 10 spot trunk. Walked it to the middle, now feeding from the 2 spot

JudyEddy said...

FREEEZING PAULA wow Its April

paula eagleholic said...

One is eating, the other hasn't jumped in there yet...playing with the fluff

paula eagleholic said...

Yea, JudyE, it's been a cold spring this year.

paula eagleholic said...

Other chick backed up for a PS out of the nest...Belle walking around in circles...maybe too much wind.

Oh look at the crop on Hedgie....some wing flaps too.

Belle moved to the 11 spot.

Very warm and very beautiful.
I declare it spring!!!

It was the same for me when they removed my gallbladder.

Dream on DANA and MONTE.

I only go to the bank in day light JUDYE and never to an ATM during early morning or evening/night.Once I went to the bank at 9:50 AM thinking I could use the ATM since the doors were still closed and there was a homeless person asleep next to the machines. I left. I do not go to the bank on weekends either when they are closed. They now have Saturday hours half day.

paula eagleholic said...

Now Maybe she is going to try and tuck them in a little better...seems like she was watching or listening to something.

Hoda said...

I know PAULA!!! None of us can believe it and this is why we are all taking it to the limit! We hope that this is not going to be our summer and then end up with a cold rainy July and August!!!

Thanks for sending Steve and his cam crew the Edible Arrangement - Good idea and I feel Steve will like it too!

Hoda you mentioned the scar on Belle's beak - it has been there for a number of years (Not sure what year it happened - Intruder I think) I didn't read all the comments so I'm not sure why it was in conversation.
Just didn't want anyone to think it was a new mark.

Good Morning Eagle lover's world!

Asking for prayers for Kate's sister Annie, the one with Down's Syndrome. She is hospitalized and not doing well, you might say failing. Her blood pressure was super low last night, and they're waiting til this morning to make sure it wasn't caused by a sedative they gave her. She also has 2 broken bones in her pelvis from likely from turning her for bedsores. She is 52. Kate just says that if this is the end, she hopes it is fast, since Annie doesn't understand anything that is going on. I'll keep you posted, as I get news. Thanks!

Good morning.

Lori, so sorry about Annie. Thinking of Kate, the family, and you.

Looks like a babe is peeking out and Belle, I think, looks pretty in the early sun.

Sun on the nest is a good thing. Hoda, enjoying sunshine wearing sockless sandals is quite another thing -- an inspiration to become envious. Enjoy, Hoda.

Margy, sure hope the repairs will be quick and clean.

Soon to depart for the big schoolhouse. One thing about university students, they do relate to Jack Daniels -- well, cheap pitchers of beer.

Continued improvement for Christine.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Haven't really read back--must get ready for bowling. I did see the post about Annie. Wishing her well. Prayers, Lori.

Chattering babies getting fed this morning. And not being tucked under some flugg.

Chicks are trying to scoot they way under Mom...she's got them pretty well covered. Pulling a big wad of fluff in.

Shep just arrived with more fluff

Kids kept moving around...Belle out of the bowl and took off. Shep at the 12 spot.

Shep is down in the bowl, not sure he can brood them. They are laying in the bowl and chirping away. Good boy Shep, he has snugged over them.

Good morning - bright and clear but rather cold outside! The nest looks great

Lori - Prayers for Kate and for Annie.

No plans for the day - Bowling and tennis sound like good activities.
I better think about some type of activity to occupy my time - right now it is computer card games.

Good chilly morning to all.

Jo, I think I spent the winter playing computer games...

Prayers for God's will for Annie.

Good morning! Dentist today and certainly hope the crown fits and this is ended.

Then tomorrow the do gets done.

Then on Thursday a road trip!! We are heading to Georgia to visit family. We will be returning on Monday. We think 4 nights there is enough to bother his sister and hubby. lol

Watching the feathers fly or is it fur? Belle, I think, was preparing brunch for the children.

Prayers for sure for Annie and her family. Very sad since she does not understand what is going on.

Home from tennis. Belle is de-feathering or de-furring something in the nest - fur or feathers flying everywhere!

Lori, I will keep Kate and her sister Annie in my thoughts and prayers. How is her mother doing in assisted living? Has she adjusted or is she still determined to go home?

It appears lunch is a fine feathered friend. :( The wind blew Belle part of the way across the nest.

I think it's a duck or some other water bird. Thought I saw a beak when Belle picked it up by the neck. Whatever it is, the kids seem to want some!

Hedgie got lots to eat and Shamrock got some, too. Belle is making sure Shamrock gets plenty on this feed.

Sharon, you saw that big wind blow Belle got. She was getting it straight up her bum and it finally caught her just right.
