TTY Southern Delegation needs some prayers for Sharon. She has a fever, aching all over, a bad cough and particularly bad spot on her leg. We have yet to have a definite on what the spot is. She is taking antibiotics and an OTC medicine along with many milagrams of Tylenol just to barely break the fever.
Thank you my fine friends! ((hugs))

we're on it, T-Bird, thanks for bringing the need to us...
nice thing about Prayers,
totally portable,
can take them and say them anywhere, anytime...

Well, good grief. Yes, Margy, I just got a cup of coffee and checked the weather. I do hope the tarp is well-secured. The critters are all restrained on the other side of the house from the damaged wall. It will probably be noisy.

Just started raining here at the hotel. I was going to take Hunter to school a little late, but we will wait until the storm has passed.

We do have a canopy set up in the back yard. One of those picnic-type things. I hope it survives the storm, but that is not the main concern right now.

Hunter did not get his homework done last night. I do want him to get to that, then we have tickets for free breakfast at the hotel. Might as well enjoy that.

It was cool and peaceful here last night.

magpie said...

OK Shirley, hoping that storm is just a big "blow over"
and all is over now

Sounds like a good way to ease into your morning and day....andf or Hunter also...

Good morning everyone. I surely hope when Shirley checks in that they all did indeed get some much needed rest. Such a difficult situation all around. Warmer than expected today but not too bad so right after breakfast Dex and i are heading to the Marina to see if there are any signs of Pelicans migrating through. MTBR on that one. I have Camera Club tonight. I have asked a friend to come to stay here with Dex while I go. He is better off at home now unless I am with him. We have a great speaker tonight. I always look forward to Camera Club. HAGD everyone.

Just loaded coats and gloves into the trailer that has the AC going. lol Now to pack jeans and sweatshirts. Hard to do when temps are going up near 100 and you are still shorts and sandals.

Just so you know...in the morning we are getting up at 5 AM (shudder!) to head to Denton to have breakfast at school with Jacob. Grandparents day at his school. Then Sat. we are getting up and heading back up there for Joseph's soccer game and to wish Jacob happy birthday. He turns 8 on the 8th! We will be back home for Joseph's birthday in Oct. Oh, how we have to schedule our lives around our grandboys!☺

Judy, the mermaid picture of her holding the shell to her ear is my favorite. Such a sweet picture.

I thought about this earklier then I just read Jo's Stinkbug post

There are more and more stinkbugs showing up at The Big House every day, and they seem to think it is okay for them to ride around in my car.
It is NOT okay for them to ride around in my car.

Good to hear from you SHIRLEY. THanks for your posts.

SHAR I hope you have seen the doctor by now.I hope there is some resolution.

THELMA Prayers certainly on going for the Southern Delegation and that includes you in my mind...don't go getting sick on us though PLEASE!!!

Blood tests went well at the hospital. Routine and nothing is going on yet my doctor has them every six months or so to make sure I am alright.Monitoring to make sure all the numbers are within the normal range.

Hoda said...

LOLLY you might not need all the tuques, the mits and the heavy winter coats but better to be prepared. Alberta could be very pleasant in September we get what we call here Indian Summer and the colours are breath taking...you will be here for that I think.

Hoda said...

While yesterday after noon was definitley autumn this morning is warm and summery again. Steam rose off the roofs this morning as the sun got stronger...so back to going out without thinking I need a coat and I was happy to have my sandals...next phase is to carry socks in my day pack in case the weather changes and I need to cover my tootsies when I am out...

It's a pretty good day in So Cal today ... a little warm though. It's supposed to top out at 81°, but it's already 84°!

I have been feeling a "little under", not too bad, but now there's a lot of catching up to do around here.

Good Grief! Need to go to church and spend a couple hours praying in the pew!
Shirley, so sorry for your meltdown and so glad someone is taking the neighbor's puppy.Hope all your family will keep calm as they can.
Shar, how awful is another ailment.Hope the fix you up ASAP and fever disappears.

Dear Lori, you had a ?? about the skipper picture. Yes, all skippers are butterflies, but they're bulky bodied and strong fliers similar to the moths. The beautiful Hummingbird and Snowberry (Small, black body)Clearwings are day dlying moths. They're one of my favorites!

Since Osprey cam is not online, been meaning to report from Vis. Ctr. Cam. Last TU I was both juvies in the nest eating fish. Didn't know where it came from.Guess it's the younger juvie that hangs out at the nest more.
At end of day, one juvie returned to nest and quick as a whistle,Dad, (I'm pretty sure) dropped a fish in the nest for Jr!
This TU saw one juvie in nest a couple times. But it spent the second half of the day in the nest screaming! After 4 PM, Dad delivered again!!!! I was so glad to see that, as most ospreys are gone. What a great Dad!!He has been on that nest for quite awhile and feeds foster chicks, too.
Told Greg he needs to be Osprey Whisperer & teach this chick to fish!
I have some not great monitor pics I'll put on soon!
