Good morning everyone. Sorry aobut all the rain out east. I surely hope the soup kitchen does not get stormed out tonight it is good for everyone involved. Gorgeous early Fall weather here. Except for waiting on Eagles to come in the cold Fall is my favorite time of year. Wishing all of you a good day.

Good wet rainy morning - My outside plants really needed this! I need to go out later for a dental quicky appointment. Falling rain to me is very peaceful.

I am enjoying Lolly and Steve sharing all their pics and videos with us. That is what is fabulous about Internet - I can go where others are and enjoy their pleasures!

I'll be back later this afternoon to check on you I love us ♥

In agreement about the joy of seeing pictures of LOLLY'S and STEVE'S trips.

Tornado watch for DC and surrounding areas until 7pm. Hope if I get blown away it will be to my house -- second choice is the curve in the road to see the nest.

Wishing everyone a good day!

Wishing all furry critters improved health.

Wanda, wishing a souper soup kitchen tonight.

righto, Judie....watching as all these weather statements scroll through the airwaves

Hi, Everyone,
Just dropping in quickly to say that Miss Emma is indeed feeling better this morning! She is eating everything in sight, and has LOTS more energy. She got in my lap, pinned me down, and gave me a thorough all-over washing, too. Thank God that she feels so much better! Thank you for your prayers and good wishes for her!

I'm hoping that Flash is feeling much, much better today, too. How's he doing, Shirley?

Janet, prayers for Miss Sable today. Glad she's feeling better, and hope the vet visit goes well.

I'm grateful that the weather is cooperating a bit this morning. It's only 72 right now, and sort of overcast. Downright comfortable in the house. Think I'll do some laundry before it gets too hot.

Good to hear from Judie! Batten down the hatches, woman, and hang on! Hope there are no tornados in your immediate vicinity!

Well, better get busy here. Much to do, and Emma's begging for more food, too. Trying not to overfeed, but just giving small amounts of kibble as treats at this point. Emma says, "WOOF!!!"
Will check back in later, alligators! HAGD!

Ms Bookworm said...

Prayers continue for Wanda & Gene and the whole family.
I ♥ us!!!

Mema Jo said...

I'll be watching the horizon, Judie! ♥

I have returned from Dental and all is well! Good for another couple of years!
But really this one may last for the next 20.

I pray for everyone's safety and for such flooding as I drove through to get home.

Ohio reporting in with gentle rain, but no storming. Badly needed and welcome, but my thoughts are with those of you who are facing severe weather !

LORI, I'm so glad you're with your parents and joyfully envisioning you and your mom working on that pumpkin quilt ! Hope the weather clears for your camping trip !

Still can't get an answer out of the doc's office about the scheduling of an MRI. My guess is that Aetna is balking at a second one within this calendar year. T'would be nice if the doc would just let me know ! I leave messages but get no response. Arrrggghhhh.... Thank the Lord for pain killing drugs !!!!

Prayers for the lovely and loving Wright family as well as for all Momsters/Dadsters/Kidsters and Petsters in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Home for lunch and guess what I have my 7-4 back starting tomorrow I got the store out of the late category all depts I went in today at 10 like my schedule said and Mitch a Asst Mgr asked if I could help today I said NO SIR its after 9 you know that if you don't go in the system before 9 and tag the items as your negatives or needs to count you won't know which one are them after 9 when the backroom system sends more counts to the floor and off course no one does them at all so there is no way to tell with out printing a report for the negatives and there is no way to find out what the needs to count are only way I figured out was trial and error and found that the counts were in the system before 9

He said why are you working 10-7 and I say where have you been I have been working odd shift ever since they told me 7-4 wasn't available and my AsstMgr was sitting there with him so Mitch turned to Lee and said Judy need to work 7-4 its for the good of the store that is she will work those hours and I said yes
and Lee my mgr was nasty in a nasty voice with Mitch sitting there I don't want to give them to her because she wants them,, I also had to bite my tongue but I did say then why are there two others that get 7-4 and that is their only shift and I have seen Dustin change their schedule with me standing there well he didn't say anything then after he left I thanked Mitch and did say ;see how nasty he can be to me he said that he was joking I said that was not joking

Good Afternoon, Eagle Friends!

A wet one for most of us here - and it's been WINDY, too!

JUDY - What Mitch said about you, in front of you, was downright mean. I can't imagine someone in management treating employees like that.

Thankful EMMA is feeling better, ANDY, but not happy to hear FLASH is not doing so well. SHIRLEY, how difficult is it to give flash all those pills?

Hoping LORI has a fun and relaxing trip with her family this week.

PAULA - Glad your time with family was fun this past long weekend. Enjoy the short work week!

WANDA - Thinking of you and the whole family as each day passes and I admire you so for continuing in your ministry work through this time. You are such a blessing!

KAY - Sorry to hear you are having trouble getting that MRI scheduled. The insurance company is okay with giving you more pain pills, but not getting to the source of the problem. Unbelievable! Hoping things get better soon.

MARGY - Glad you got to stay in and away from court today. Too bad the SB's found you and your car! UGH! How is James the Wise doing? Always love hearing about him!

LOLLY - Loving the pictures and the chance to experience some of what you're seeing!! Really beautiful!

Autumn is fast approaching, the leaves are falling and starting to change colors! I'm looking forward to this next season!

Hoda said...

HOLD ON JUDIE!!!
I hope all the eastern group fares well from the storm...thinking of you and trying to track it as much as I can from out here...Stay well and dry every one and please check in so we would know you are all alright.

I have just returned from Sharpsburg seeing Megan and then out to Kearneysville to see Aaron. Michael was with me and the skies had cleared once we got moving! Now I have eaten and I am going to put up my feet.

Glad your hours got changed Judy to where you like them and do the store the most good! ♥

Andy and Shirley - Emma and Flash I pray are ok. Megan's little white Snowy is having lots of vision problems! Prayers for all furbabies.

Gotta rustle up something for dinner! Maybe BLT's and some soup!

Really hope the soup kitchen was busy tonight. Look forward to Wanda's report. Hope the weather was not a problem for GG.

Glad the furry critters are better. Hoping they will all be in good health by tomorrow.

Janet said...

Good evening ya'll.

JUDYE: so glad someone else was there to observe that poor behavior. pretty crappy if you ask me!

had a productive day today. it rained til around noon then the sun popped out. the temps have certainly cooled off! it is nice! i actually got a wind burn on my face today!!!

as you know: took sable to the vet. per the vet, which does not agree with what the other vet told me (value vet has 3 or 4 vets in rotation), and does not agree with what i read; but this vet said a lypoma is a solid mass, not fluid filled. therefore, aspirating it was not an option. surgery was the only option for removal. at 13 years old....i just dont' want to put her/me thru that...and i don't feel the outcome would be good.

the bigger concern was the tumor growing on the distal portion of her leg....i did have them to aspirate it....not that it will change my treatment plan.....to keep her comfortable. but in my mind, i want to know for sure if it is/isn't cancer. the dr. said the test has an 85 to 95 % accuracy rate and will be back with in a week.

in the meantime, she needs to stop licking it. so i had to go buy toddler socks to put over her leg. just cut the toe off and slip it on. she isn't thrilled with it...but they don't want her to lick it raw.

that put me in a funk for a bit. just....thinking back to her first partner red, who died of oestosarcoma (bone cancer) at age 4. he had a large tumor that they tried to remove; he died that night at home. still very close to luke's passing....

but i'm okay now. it is what it is and will be what it will be. my job is just to keep her happy, comfy, and spoiled rotten. :)

i hope everyone is doing well this evening......i will touch base in the morning. pleasant dreams, all!

Lynne2 said...

evening all!

Weather was windy, very rainy, very little thunder, and over pretty quick.

Janet, I feel for you, gal....those pets of ours....
Wondering how Flash is doing, and glad Emma is back to her old self!

Judy, I saw the bears, and I'm not sure if it's the same ones I have seen all season, but it's always been one adult, and what started out as 2 very small youngsters who seem to be growing like weeds, if that was the same group this evening! I haven't seen them myself in about 3 or 4 weeks til tonight.

Lynne2 said...

LOL CarolAnne...penguins in the birdbath! BRRRRR!

STINKBUGS in Margy's car???? oh no.

Kay, good grief I sure hope they don't keep you waiting too much longer regarding the MRI. GRRRRRR...health insurance in America, don't get me started! Hoping that your pain isn't too bad today.

Have been enjoying Lolly's and Steve's pics on FB....looking forward to seeing lots from Lori's adventures!

JudyE, the more I know about Walmart, the less I like them. Sorry to say....

Lolly said...

Good evening!!!! Tried to get on this morning but was unable to do so. Then I tried earlier this evening and again no luck

We have had dinner and now to relax. Will attempt to put pictures on fb.

We did a drive today and then to Moraine Lake and then Lake Louise. We hiked to then end of both lakes. So beautiful! Only wildlife we saw was more ravens, some Clark's Nutcrackers and some chipmonks. lol Not much to write about. At Moraine Lake took a picture of a sign on a trail. Can not hike that trail unless there are 4 in your group.....because of bears!!! We did not hike it, of course, but I did practice saying "It's me bear!" Jack likes to say "It's her bear". lol He says he only has to out run me. We laughed at the thought of groups of 4. Jack says that reduces the casulties to 1/4 of your group instead of half if there is only two of you. Bless him!

Lynne2 said...

Hope soup kitchen was a success...glad the worst of the weather seemed to be over in time. Still holding special thoughts for Wanda and family.

stronghunter said...

Good evening,

Some wind and rain here, but not too bad.

Flash is better. He ventured back into the family room this evening. And, Lynne, thanks for the suggestion. I think I can get him to eat pills wrapped in liverwurst. He is very suspicious about foods given to him and inspects them carefully, but he ate the liverwurst eagerly.

I worry a little about sticking my hand down the throat of a dog that has just growled and snapped at me, so a good food offering is much better than cramming my hand down his throat.

Lolly said...

I am going to fb now to try to upload pictures.

Going to say SED!!! Just in case I can't get back.

Lynne2 said...

Boy, that Jack....isn't he something, bless his heart!

(I have recently been informed that Bless his/her/your heart is a southern expression used to indicate that the person saying it thinks you, your plan, your comment, your actions, etc. art nuts!)

Lynne2 said...

SO glad it's working Shirley! It's hard to resist! And ANYTHING is better than having to forcefully pill any animal....oh, if only we could talk to them and help them understand! You can further the process by just giving small little pieces randomly, other than pill time, to keep him on his toes!

stronghunter said...

I am afraid Luna ate some of Flash's pills this evening because I had stuck a couple into his dinner. Knew I needed to watch carefully, but got distracted for a moment and looked back to see Luna eating his food.

Normally, that would not happen, but he did not have much appetite this evening.

So I need to do the liverwurst thing from now on.

stronghunter said...

Sorry about the problems with Walmart, Judy.

Lynne2 said...

OOOPS! Well, Luna will have a fun night if he ate the pain meds!

stronghunter said...

Yes, cramming your hand down the throat of a basset hound is an especially slimy experience. And, with Flash, you gotta get halfway to his stomach or the pill just pops right back out.

stronghunter said...

I figured I couldn't do anything about a couple of pills one way or the other, just try to do it right from here on out.

stronghunter said...

I use a pill popper for George. He gets pills every day. The pill works well for him.

stronghunter said...

. . . pill popper works well.

stronghunter said...

Lolly, I would not have ventured down that trail either.

Lynne2 said...

Hoda......I'm glad the D and D of C won, also. SHAME for SHAME on the photographer and everyone else trying to profit. I'll be Prince William was madder than a hornet after all that happened with his mum.

The next news I want to hear from them is that a BABY is on the way!!

Lynne2 said...

Pill poppers do work well, on cats, and most smaller dogs....but the bigger the mouth, the harder it is to use them, I think!

stronghunter said...

Really glad I found a new dermatologist. I had a mole on my arm that had been bothering me. The old dermatologist did not want to remove it, but the new one said she would remove it if that was what I wanted. Turns out it was abnormal, and could have led to melanoma. I have to go back in to have the margins removed.

Lynne2 said...

wow Shirley, glad you went with your instincts on that!

stronghunter said...

I think so, too, Lynne. We did have an issue with certain pills with George. They caused him to foam at the mouth, then he started foaming at the sight of the pill popper, then he started foaming at the sight of Will, because Will had given him some pills.

Solution was to stop with those pills.

stronghunter said...

Think I have too many topics in my conversation this evening. Yes, Lynne, I am very glad I got the mole removed. It was quite small and did not look unusual, but sometimes it would itch and get hard for no apparent reason.

Lynne2 said...

Laughing thinking of poor George foaming at the mouth at the sight of Will!

Janet said...

stronghunter: we feed sable her pills inside of a hot dog. i buy the 24 pack and cut it into pieces and stuff pills inside......works for her. she and luke would both work the pills out of braunsweiger, cheese/ and peanut butter....hot dogs all the way.

Lynne2 said...

I was following you Shirley!

stronghunter said...

Kay, you have had enough problems. Hope you get your MRI scheduled pronto.

stronghunter said...

Good, Lynne, glad you were with me.

Lynne2 said...

Hot dogs work...except for Daisy. LOL!

stronghunter said...

I had to tell the vet that it was just a no-go on those pills. We found another way. Don't even remember what they were, but George did not care for them.

Lynne2 said...

I can't find my address/email list for everyone. UGH. If someone can email it to me, I'd appreciated it!

Mema Jo said...

Good Night, Precious Pals

I can say that just about the time for soup kitchen in Martinsburg, the rain had pretty much stopped....so I'm hoping with the rest of you that it was GREAT....I was very disappointed that my plan to bring my 94 year old shopping pal with me for some great chow did not work out...the weather and some other technical things at work prevented me from making a solid plan...and then it was too late....
I look forward to Wanda's report also !!!

Good Wednesday morning my eagle friends - would ya look at that, friends came out right both times I typed it this morning!

Lori, enjoy your Mom time and your camping!!

Lynne2, why is your mother in law selling her house? Maybe I should know this but missed it?

Kay, prayers for you to get that MRI quickly! I sure don't like hearing that you are back to where you were before the surgery - how frustrating for you!!

Wanda, prayers continue for your family.

Shirley and Andy, glad to hear that Emma and Flash are feeling better.

Janet, Bandit has a lipoma (sp?) on his side. had the first one removed a few years ago. But I'm like you this time around - he's 14 and has dementia - no surgery! Fortunately, it's not growing quickly.

Time to jump over to FB for a quick minute. have a good day all!

DanaMo said...

Good morning. The blog looks weird for me this morning. I have a big white gap between messages. Strange and that was after I refreshed.

So sorry for Kay. That is not the way it is supposed to be! I hope you get the MRI fast too!

Speaking of which...my dad went to his cancer doctor the other day because he is just so tired and doesn't look good. It took some convincing but he did finally go. Dr. Mac found something in his abdomen just by the touch and was surprised my dad can't feel it. Anyway CAT scan today at 10 am, please pray for him and my mom. She is a wreck and doesn't want it to show. His health seems to have deteriorated so much since the broken hip last fall. He has been 10 years in remission so...We should have results in 2 days according to the doc and if we don't hear in 2 days that means there wasn't anything. So difficult and my mom doesn't want my wayward brother to know.

School is so hard this year...I hope I can make it. I woke up this morning thinking that I can't do this all year! My aide is out for the week (her daughter just had her second baby! Yipee, good news, a boy Benjamin), and I have a sub, but I still miss her a lot!

Wow sorry for being a downer...

Sandi said...

DanaMo, oh dear! Prayers big time for your dad! You must be so worried!

I have that same big gap in the posts but only right after Wanda's post from last night! I thought maybe she did a face plant on the space bar! =)

Tough start to the year for me as well. I started with 13 on my caseload. My 17th special ed. student will be starting today! And 9 of them are VERY needy!!

okay glad everyone has the same white gap! Thought it was just me.

Face plant on the space bar is a funny thought! Made me smile ☺

Thanks for the prayers...I'll let everyone know as soon as we hear something.

17 kids on your caseload is a lot! This is the first year I haven't had kids in the "high" category and "low", they are all in the "needy" category!!

stronghunter said...

Good morning,

White space is within Wanda's post, so maybe it is a face plant on the space bar. Interesting.

Flash is much better this morning. The meds are working. But he got the pill out of the liverwurst, so Kathryn crammed everything down his throat.

SANDI: sable's lipoma has been with her 3 years now, so in effect, it has grown rather slowly, but it has become so massive over the last 6 months that it externally rotates her leg, which means she has a hard time balancing sometimes when she is sitting..the leg will slip. and she walks funny now with the toes rotated internally (Pigeon toed if you will) and it causes pain...which means tramadol.

i did a lot of reading last night on mast cell tumors in dogs, which is what the vet suspects the lump on her leg is. if it is a stage 3, (which they cannot stage without a biopsy, which i will not do) 6 months ...perhaps. the aspiration can confirm if it is a mast cell tumor and she said can confirm cancer/not cancer. so we will see.

DANAMO: sending comfort and loving thoughts to you and your dad.....
hope your days get better...

STRONGHUNTER: glad Flash is doing better this morning. my guys would work it out of the braunsweiger as well. :( aggravating!

Well i need to get my hiney in gear. Got to be in Franklin @ 8. Need to get the kid up and moving so we can be out the door on time.

Nice and cool here this a.m. 47!!!!! :)

Will touch base later ...hugs, light, love and smiles to each of you...

Good morning everyone. Another very long night at my house. Dex and I have pretty much been up since 1 am. He doesn't seem sick though right now but "extremely restless". His breathing sounds a little funny too. Is it anxiety. I surely have that. I sure wish he could talk to me. Anyway I guess our day has begun and I will monitor as we progress. Coffee time with dog treats will tell me something. Love and prayers for all.

Dex is resting quietly this afternoon. Dog treat time went fairly poorly this morning. He ate a little and we carried the water to him. He was shaking so I carried him home. When I went to give him his regular daily med this am I noticed he was not opening his right eye at all. I think he must have hurt it at 1 am and until I went to look him in the face through all that hair I never noticed the eye. Anyway it is bathed and I did have some eye drops left over from when we were trying to fight the blindness so I used those. If they don't help I will take him to vet tomorrow. He does seem comforted now that he knows I know what is wrong. No more shaking sleeping and breathing nicely. He is my "sensitive baby" always has been. Sorry it took me so long to find out what was wrong. Anyway just wanted you to know. I do hope he saves some sleeping for tonight as I am very tired and did not sleep although i tried to rest. Maybe I could join in and do a face plant too. :-)

Good afternoon,

Bowling was yesterday, Margy. Today was a daytime bridge game. Had to come home a little early because Hunter's bus gets here at 3:00. We are still not really leaving him home alone for very long, so I came in about five minutes after he got here--just long enough for him to beat me home, but not long enough for mischief or problems.

stronghunter said...

He has football again tonight.

stronghunter said...

Sorry Dex is having problems, Glo.

Checking in with good news at last. Will have the MRI on Thursday, Sept. 27th and a follow up with the doc on Monday, Oct. 1st. Thanks to all of you who've expressed concern--I love knowing you're there for me--it does help !

Good call on that mole, SHIRLEY ! Another example of our need to get second opinions and to trust our own instincts where our bods are concerned !

Sorry Dex is ailing, GLO ! I include our four legged friends in my daily prayers.

Yesterday's hightlight was a visit with my furry pal, Malcolm. He got his peanut butter fix while Julie and I tried to solve the world's problems. ☺

Much love and fervent prayers for all in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Good news Kay - YEA!

Talk about crazy medical stuff, My cousin was treated for early bladder cancer 2 years ago. He goes every 6 months for followup. At his last check-up he was told he had cancerous tumors on his liver. He started chemo - double dose- so he would only have to make the 70 mile trip once a week. After the shock of dealing with a second cancer, he called the dr. office one day to ask a few more questions about this particular cancer. Long story short - his records didn't indicate cancer - just fatty tumors. Lots of finger pointing about who said "cancer" & who scheduled the chemo. Situation not resolved yet.

One of my favorite shows is Parenthood. Not sure if anybody here watches it but last night, one of the characters was diagnosed with breast cancer. I said great, that is what I need. Someone else in my life dealing with cancer. Can't escape it, no matter where I go. #CANCERSUCKS!!!!!

DanaMo said...

Please pray for my dad. He has been very tired and has no interest in anything. We finally got him to go to the doctor and he had a CAT scan this morning. I just got off the phone with the doctor, and although he isn't saying that my dad has cancer again, he is suggesting that there is a possibility. His kidney is enlarged (he has had a condition with his kidney, but this sounds like it has gotten much worse which makes it suspicious) and he is very anemic. He is going in for a blood transfusion on Friday and going to the kidney specialist as soon as the appointment is made. Dr. said he doesn't think that it's a reoccurrance of the lung cancer but could be another malignancy. I am very worried, but don't want to be an alarmist and trying to keep my parents calm by acting like I am not worried.

Sandi said...

Afternoon all!

Dana, I am so sorry that you didn't get encouraging news from the doctor. How could you not be worried?! How very scary for you and your mom! Prayers are started!

Kay, good to see you on the blog and what great news that you finally got the go-ahead for the MRI! Hoping it gives you some answers!

Prayers for the 4-legged "children" who are ailing - Flash, Sable, and Dex! Good news about Emma felling spunkier!

Heating up leftovers from last night's dinner and then we are headed to the grocery store early to be back in time for the start of Survivor. Hope I can stay awake!!

Have a good evening!

Kay, YAY, Yay for Kay, please God help the pain go away! Glad you got your MRI and follow up scheduled, finally!

CarolAnne, OMG, I don't even know what to say about the situation your cousin is in.....except OMG, and prayers.

DanaMo, prayers for your dad and you and family. Good on you for being strong, but you know THEY know you are worried, so share your concerns when the time is right...it does help. They are lucky to have a daughter with such strength!

Sandi, the in-laws are selling because, well, they are just too old now to take care of the place. And the winters are harsh up there. Too hard for them to have to deal with anymore. The medical first responders have vehicles that can get around, and snowmobiles if needed. But they worry that something will happen just the same. And we are the closest family at almost 4 hours away, and in winter, we just can't get there if they need US during bad weather. They want to be closer, and hope to move to the eastern shore where the weather is milder. But it would be lovely to be able to keep the house as a "three season" home. They are very sad to be leaving there. It truly is beautiful!

Good evening my friends. I have some GREAT news!

The vet (my favorite one, Dr. K) called and Sable does NOT have cancer. She has (get this) A PIMPLE!!!!!! She read it to me, verbatim....and it translates to a pimple!!!!! Still have to keep it covered...and if it doesn't go away on its own, she says she can help it out....but the relief!!!!!!!! I felt as if ten tons came off of my shoulders.

I'm not oblivious to the fact that she is 13...old for a Dobie....and that in due time she will pass over as well...but at least, for now, that's one thing we don't have to deal with.....

SOOOOOO VERY THANKFUL

GLO: hopefully Dex is doing okay, resting and healing....

DANAMO: sending light/love/and comforting thoughts.....

CAROLANNE: hoping your cousin will have a healthy outcome.....more light and love coming your way...

JUDYE: you have to go with your gut on this one regarding JUNE. I would talk to her again, after a couple of days. She might change her mind.....I understand that you want to respect her privacy and grieving, but I agree with HODA on this one. Its a tough situation. BTW: glad you are doing better, sounds like the virus is going on its way...

Other than dealing with an 11 year old, who is trying my patience at this point in time; its been a lovely day. Low 70's for a high, sunny, bright. Felt great. New ice skates came in for miss 11 year old who is trying mom's patience to the bitter end......I paid for the next set of classes....and now, its time to prepare for tomorrow.

I pray everyone has a pleasant night; keeping everyone close in my heart, thoughts and blessings. Sweet dreams...gonna turn on the DVR and WATCH SURVIVOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY for KAY!!! An appointment for the MRI and an appointment for the neurosurgeon!! Thankful for the news and hoping you will get some answers!!

DANAMO - Will pray for your dear Dad and all he is going through again. I know it must be scary for your Mom and you, too! Praying the transfusion and kidney specialist can bring him relief and he will be feeling better and gaining strength.

JUDYE - Sorry for mistaking Mitch for Lee.....either way, you were subjected to nastiness that should never happen in the workplace!!!

JUDYE - I thought you sent the EM list to everyone, so I didn't think anything of it. Guess I didn't pay attention to "who" the email was addressed to!! I should have forwarded it to LYNNE2!!

JANET - GREAT news for Sable!! A pimple?? It was mistaken for a cancerous growth?? It is good news, but the scare was NOT fun, I'm sure.

C/A - So sorry your cousin had to go through chemotherapy for a cancer that was not even in his system. That stuff is dangerous and causes problems of its own, as I am sure you are well aware of. That should NOT have happened. It is wonderful news he does not have liver cancer, but a real shame he went through the treatment and fears of another cancer.

GLO - Poor little DEX and his shaking and not doing too well today. Glad you nursed his eye today and he is doing a little better. Hoping you both get some good sleep tonight!

Hellooooooooooo! We had another great day. We have also done laundry and had a great dinner outside. Visited for a while with new "neighbors" who pulled in this evening.

They are from Nova Scotia and left Aug 3 and have been in Alaska and are now headed home. They are pulling a trailer 2 ft shorter than ours and have two dogs with them. Very nice couple, enjoyed our visit.

Heading over to fb to load pictures. Today we went to Yoho Natl Park. Saw some beautiful scenery, no wildlife. Oh, I saw a hawk and we had a raven join us at our picnic table at lunch. lol

JANET so glad to hear that it was not cancer and only a pimple I am sure you probably could have slapped the Dr I know I would have wanted to also Carol Anne so happy you brother is ok and so sad he had to go through the rough treatment of cancer something he didn't have Don't they have some sort of retest before they do stuff to people I hope he gave the dr a piece of his mind It seems there are incompetent dr all over from this week with Brantley being misdiagnosed and now CA your brother and also Janet dog with the Vet and we wonder why there are law suits out there GEEZE whiz

Angie and I had a talk she thinks maybe June is thinking with me coming up there it may bring up too many memories she isn't ready to handle yet We have done a lot together the three of us over the years and I will give her a call in a couple of days just to see if she is serious she was adamant about it I think that is why she called I am the one that always calls because of my schedule and my long distance is free so will play it by ear and call her just to shoot the breeze like always

and I am still taking my vacation no matter what I have 4 weeks to take before May 18 and with NOV and DEC being blacked out and the month before inventory need to get these two out of the way I just wish I wouldn't have sold my stock too late on that but I just may go up to north to see the fall foliage anyway just not to Junes

Before I go to bed:

This was a good day! GG's doctor said it would be ok to give her an extra half pain pill and anti-depressant before Jillian's wedding, but wants to see her the day before to make sure her blood pressure is good. It was 128 over 88 today. I think I will give her that recommended dose one day before the wedding to see how it affects her...don't want her to fall asleep at the wedding:)

We managed to go to the bank and get some paper work taken care of. The young lady came out to the car so that GG didn't have to struggle to get into her office...I was so grateful to her!

Then, we got her pain med filled and she is now back on the Fentanyl
patch, in addition to her pain pills.

What on earth is going on with our KAY? I skimmed through the comments and saw that she has not been feeling well and needs an MRI. Is this pertaining to her surgery? Saying prayers for this dear lady!

No face plants, yet, so I will quit while I'm ahead.
Good night...my love and prayers to you all♥

Thanks SHIRLEY. It was a good meeting but also a sad meeting.
For the past three Canadian Thanksgivings I had my Thanksgiving with a group of women ranging in age from 92to 63 {that would be me} Doris Kaplan was 92 years old and it iwas announced today in the AGM that she passed on September 11th at the hospital. She had a DNR order and she had a peaceful crossing. This was the first Kootenay Co-op AGM that she had missed in 37 years. She was bright and intelligent and full of gumption and a no nonsense attitude. She was born in the USA, Connecticut actually and moved here when she was two years old...She loved the USA and she is survived by three sons and a grandson...RIP Doris.

Good chilly Thursday morning my eagle friends!

Happy to hear that GG had a good doctor visit that included a plan for the wedding day, that Sable has a pimple and not cancer, and that Lolly and Jack had another great day (wish you were seeing wildlife AND scenery though).

Hoda, I'm sorry to hear that you have lost a friend.

Judy, tough call about your friend - to go or not to go, hmmm. Not sure what I would do in the situation.

Prayers continue for DanaMo's dad that whatever is causing his fatigue can be remedied and isn't cancer.

Glo, hoping you had a good night's sleep and that Dex had a good night as well.

Need to head over to FB to see Lolly's latest pics. Have a good day all!

DanaMo said...

OMGosh Janet, a pimple! geez...

Wanda-Glad GG is going to the wedding and can take the extra medication if necessary.

Kay-Did I see in the posts that you have been given the go ahead for the MRI? I hope that is what I read and that you get some answers.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and support. I am feeling a little better after doing some research on the internet about enlarged kidneys. My dad has a defect in the ureter that has apparently been there since birth, I knew this, but according to the computer this can block the fluid from emptying into the bladder causing the enlargement. a friend of mine who is a PA also told me that this can also indirectly cause anemia...so hopefully the kidney doctor will confirm that this is the case and that there isn't anything else in or around the kidney.

Very chilly here...not liking it this cool. I didn't even open my windows in the classroom yesterday! Too soon for me to be complaining about the cool weather.

Ready to get this day on and over with. I hope I make it through the school year. I keep saying I am going to quit! I can't get anything done, and everyone is telling me to lower my expectations. How? After having so many successful years, now I have a class that doesn't even know the alphabet.

Oh well...better get moving and check the ice situation. Adam has a X-C injury and has been needing to ice down his ankle. I may have to run to 7-11

good morning to all!!!~ ;D

feeling so much better today....just relieved. just simply relieved that at this point, sable doesn't have a terminal illness......

she is mad however, that the yard is dewy, wet and cold under her feet in the morning...but we can all live with that!

massage envy day. then ice skating. we had ordered a heavier pair of ice skates for olivia....they came in yesterday so now she's breaking those in.

and yes: strong hunter.....11 year olds ARE frustrating. for the most part i can handle her....she is nothing in comparison to my oldest daughter who had some horrific things happen to her at the hands of my ex husband when she was 7...and therefore, about the time she turned 11 til, well just a few years ago, really, she was an almost out of control handful. thankfully, therapy and a lot of love and patience have handled that!!! so olivia has a lot to do to match that, but that doesn't mean that sometimes she isn't frustrating!!!!!

my son, just a btw, was not a problem til he hit 18......now he's 22 and all's fairly well.

anyway....coolish this morning. upper 40's and heading to 80s today. weekend is almost here my friends.

here's to a great day for everyone!!!! light, smiles, hugs, and love to all!

Today we are taking it easy. Jack is cooking breakfast and then we will just spend the day in the Banff area, no long drives. Tomorrow will be Kootenay Natl. Park. We will be here until next Wed. We will head to Jasper probably Monday, Hoda.

I think this weekend we will do serious Moose hunting again. lol

Breakfast is ready...gotta go!

Good morning,

Hoping to get things actually moving towards getting repairs done soon.

I will see how I might put together purple and red without shocking those I meet. Hmmm, maybe being shocking is okay.

Much to do today. BBL.

Good late morning. Dex and I did in fact get some good sleep. I will continue to bathe and put drops in his eye which already looks much better than yesterday. We enjoyed our coffee and dog treat time and then went for a nice ride. Photography work on tap now. prayers for all: with known needs in particular. Enjoy your day. I want to go on a wolf hunt :-)

Have to tell you about the bunny rabbits that are thick here! We asked...they are thick all over town. They are a real pest as they bring in predators. Also, young children play with the poop! They can not get rid of them. Not allowed to shoot them and it costs the city $150 each to put them in a bunny sanctuary.

I enjoy watching them...so cute!
