Shirley, how is your daughter feeling today? Hope she is not as sore.

Dana, good luck for a speedy and successful surgery tomorrow.

NCSuzan said...

I can never access those NZ cams. Disappointing.

paula eagleholic said...

Dana - glad to hear you and Mom are good and that she is taking you tomorrow. Good luck, I'm sure everything will go fine! Please check in with us when you are able!

hedgie said...

Dana, her name is Lynn Mehalko Upole.

Suzan, I haven't figured out yet why I can get SOME NZ cams but not all.

Mema Jo said...

Lynn and Suzan - message with link

See if this works

Hello Eagle Pals

Well, don't think I will be watching for any meteors in the morning

We need the rain, hunting season starts in earnest next Monday and this will help offset careless wildfires

man oh man is it raining here !

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Kathryn is still taking my pain pills and she does have some nasty bruises, but she is getting around.

magpie said...

I did not get a response from Steve about the cams

very early this morning I did have blue and shhhhhhhhhings noises at live cam but now have grey like the rest of everyone else on the live feed, not even getting any of the ads either

magpie said...

Dana
Best wishes and prayers also that all things go well Wednesday

(( hugs in advance ))

NCSuzan said...

Lynn, i have vista and i was wondering if windows media player just doesn't jive? I can get the panda cams on Daniels cams but not on the NZ website.

stronghunter said...

Rained really hard in Culpeper today. I was wondering if there would be any more flooding problems. I suppose they've made some changes to prevent it. I do not go to that part of the building often.

magpie said...

Shirley
glad you have the furnace repair set up...have to agree, better sooner than later
thanks for the update regarding Kathryn...sure this weather adds a few more aches and pains to the whole situation

stronghunter said...

I waited a little while because I thought I might get an estimate from the company I have a contract with, but I decided to go ahead and let Hunter's football coach do it.

It's what he does for a living. He is starting his own company. Kathryn has known him for some time, and she trusts him.

He showed Hunter a lot of special attention on the team.

stronghunter said...

He is giving me a special deal because of Kathryn.

wvgal_dana said...

Hedgie-Lynn Not the person I see in todays newspaper. Maybe it will be in tomorrows?

Thank all of you. Yes by not picking Mom up for awhile and making her meet me places. It got her "thinking about the terrible trick she pulled". She would go someplace by herself and call me and say, I went here but I was miserable". I am glad too ...

Thanks for all your prayers and that the surgery should be a breeze. I had that total knee replacement and was up right away. So this should definately be an up on my feeter...taking walker to come home up the ramp. Not being dumb. I will let you know how it all goes.

stronghunter said...

Will be thinking about you, Dana.

wvgal_dana said...

Think I'm going in and get feet up awhile.
I wish I could go to bed now. Getting up at 4:30 to care for Little Man and be ready. Seems like I should be in bed now. lol

Prayers for those that need them. Thinking of our sweet Judie, Barbara's daughter Carole, hope Lynn2 is feeling better. Prayers for Hedgie-Lynn another loss :(
also think of Diann a lot because I know the "PAIN" she is in day in and day out. Then there is our NCSuzan that needs Gods praying hands too. Bill with the fresh loss of his Mother. God anyone I've mentioned to them like the lady I mean't in the mall that day that just found out she has breast cancer and anyone I've said, "I say a prayer for you". Are included in these prayer times. Hope Kathryn in less sore. Still keeping Margy's sister in prayer. Lolly's family member. Shirley or Andy's principal that fell and did NOT get hit by car but injured herself. Lord there just seems to be a ton of them....putting all in your HANDS TO DO AS YOU KNOW BEST. Thank you God.

'Night Dana, hope you get some super rest overnight

magpie said...

I get a kick out of the site-meter map....it has me in Berkeley Springs tonight ☺
really wish I was !

going to disappear for a little while, take care of an incidence of hunger here

Best wishes for a good night for everyone

ttfn xoxo

magpie said...

maybe correct grammar would be
really wish I were
never quite know how all that works

some grammar things are out of my reach

stronghunter said...

Subjunctive mood is used for a condition contrary to fact. In other words, you ain't in Berkeley springs.

stronghunter said...

And you wish you were there . . .

magpie said...

I think I follow you Shirley...
so it would be

I wish I were

I knew I could count on you, haven't heard that word subjunctive in awhile

Have you ever thought about penning some of your stories for Reader's Digest?
Like for "All in a Day's Work," and "Life in These United States?"
I think your fortune awaits you!

hedgie said...

Dana, obit is on Brown's website. She just passed last evening--not in Journal til at least tomorrow.

hedgie said...

Suzan....I have Vista on one and Windows 7 on the other.....problems with cams on both. Windows Media Player works with some, not others.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynn, I have windows 7 too, but haven't tried all the cams to find out if I have the same problem as you.

Just got off the phone with my Aunt Edna...haven't talked with her in awhile...I know she's got to be in her 80's...really need to go up to Massachusetts and see everyone...

paula eagleholic said...

I emailed Steve about the cams too, didn't hear back.

paula eagleholic said...

Aw lion cubs are sleeping.

paula eagleholic said...

I can get all the lion cams...which ones are you having trouble with, Lynn?

NCSuzan said...

Hedgie, I feel better that I am not alone with the problem but sorry that you have the issue also.

stronghunter said...

Lion cubs are precious.

Almost time for DWTS. Do not know that I will last until the end. Very sleepy.

Lion cubs are precious.

stronghunter said...

Yes, Lynn, L of M is pretty violent.

Mema Jo said...

Lynn and any others watching NCIS -
that was a good place to break until next week.
Now for NCIS:LA

You are enjoy DWTS ...

hedgie said...

Paula, can't get any of the lion cams. Panda cam is good. Sometimes can get flamingos, other times not. Asian Trail is okay. Don't remember about the others at NZ. Can get SD panda, but not something else they had going there. Same with Atlanta. And on and on.... :(

stronghunter said...

Margy, I haven't mentioned subjunctive mood in a long time. It definitely does not come up every day.

Some of my students would probably think I was cursing at them.

stronghunter said...

Odd that some of the NZ cams are hard to access.

stronghunter said...

I will be playing bridge tomorrow night, so I had probably better head upstairs and get to sleep.

Lynne2 said...

evening all...feeling much better today!

Lynn, so sorry about your friend/babysitter's passing :(

Good luck tomorrow Dana...should be a piece of cake!

Heard the Prince William and Kate are finally engaged!

My cam is beautiful black and dark green horizontal lines in motion, like the auroras! Sure wish we knew what was going on.

Gotta run. Have to empty out closet first thing in the morning in the bedroom for the insulation guy. He's coming between 10 and Noon and it will take 2 hours to blow it all into the attic area. Have to babysit at noon, juggle the dogs around to keep out of his way.

Prayers for all and have a good night!

Lynne2 said...

wow, the wind has really kicked up here....

stronghunter said...

Hi, Lynne. Good night.

stronghunter said...

Have to find something pink to wear tomorrow. It is Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

Lynne2 said...

goodnight Shirley! Glad Kathryn is functioning OK....

Lynne2 said...

wow, I just saw that Prince William gave Kate Diana's engagement ring. That's really something.

I'm really leaving now.

magpie said...

Thanks for the Pink Alert, Shirley....
will find something pink to wear here too....

glad you are feeling better Lynne...

heard there might be high winds...woof, don't like that

all the wet trees, will fall over more easily, makes for a lot of hazards :(

Mema Jo said...

Did you get a glimpse of that ring!
I don't know if I could handle it on my finger. Quite an honor!

Hi, Everyone,
Just got home from school. OMIGOSH! GUESS WHAT! I got an A in my Practice 4 class, an A in my English III class, and an A in my Algebra class!!! I am SOOOOOOO excited! I can hardly believe it! Thank you all SOOO much for your school prayers on my behalf! You can't tell ME that prayers don't work! Especially around here!

Haven't had much time to read back on the blog, but did see that Lynne2 is feeling better, and Kathryn, although still sore, is managing to ambulate. I am happy for the improvement! More prayers for healing, for sure!

Dana,
Will be praying for your surgery tomorrow, and you will be in my heart and on my mind, for sure!

Have had Judie on my mind all day. Hope she was able to get out of that bed today! They HAVE to manage the pain enough for her so that she is able to move around! Hang in there, Judie! Love you lots, and am praying for total pain management for you! Hope you get to go home SOON!

Well, I guess I'm going to go veg in front of the TV. Have to schedule a few bills online that need to be paid in a day or two, first.

Darth has the night light set to go on automatically--thank you, Darth!
I'm checking to make sure the porch light is on. Have said prayers for everyone--special ones for Judie & Darth, and for Dana, Kathryn, Carole, and Anne.
The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are both enabled. Sleep tight, and I'll talk to you tomorrow (or just maybe, later tonight). God bless, and goodnight!
Love each and every one of you! :o]

Ms Bookworm said...

Oh--Hi, Mema Jo!
Hope you are still improving. Have been praying for that durn cold to go away! (((HUGS)))!!!

Andy, congrats on the excellent grades.....but we KNEW you would ace everything!!!!

Sorry about your poor sleep, Margy. Hope you make up for it tonight!

Nursing a bit of a sore throat here...looked for Chloraseptic and can't find any. Dern....

Well, news will be over in a few. Enjoyed shows tonight, too, Jo.
Goodnight my fine, fowl friends. Prayers for all.

GG enjoyed her Early Morning outing today. 7:30am found her sitting at the kitchen table in her pretty black and gold sunflower pjamas, drinking her coffee (wasn't supposed to have any, but hey...). I gave her the new shoes that I bought her and she LOVED them and they fit perfectly. Non-skid soles to help keep her from falling. She wore her new Blouse and slacks, also and looked pretty as a picture:)
She walked down that long hallway to the Lab without any problem (it seemed far too long for me!)When the nurse/tech was done drawing blood and we walked back down the hallway, she wanted to know why I got her ANOTHER flu shot:) She wasn't hearing well, so I had to write everything on her notepad.
Fixed breakfast and encouraged her to read the newspaper (she has stopped reading altogether) I told her there was something interesting in there, but she had to find the article herself...it worked. She found the article and went on to read a few others and ate all of her breakfast without realizing it:) Made her put new batteries in her aids and then we had a nice conversation. She talked about her favorite flower bed and what all she wants to put in it. Among other things, she wants more of Megan Butterfly plants...she loved that, it bloomed all Summer and even survived frost, but the freeze ruined it:(
When I left, she called me BABY and thanked me for her beautiful shoes. What a sweetheart!

Costume Lady said...

Right now, here in Nestville, it is 60° and raining very hard along with thunder and lightning, very strong wind and hail.

Soup Kitchen had only 10 visitors, but we expected that with the gloomy, rainy day we had. But they enjoyed their turkey and all the fixins very much. These people are all so appreciative. It's heart-warming when they come to the kitchen and thank us and tell us how much they enjoyed their meal:)

Think I will go to bed now and listen to the rain fall on our roof. Hope it's only rain falling on our roof...no trees!

GOOD NIGHT MY FRIENDS
SWEET DREAMS
PRAYERS FOR ALL OF US AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY

Glad some of us are feeling better. Need to say extra prayers for Judie♥

Good Morning Eagle Pals
Wow, Windy outside ! Things blowing all around the place outside !

Watched for some meteors, saw one faint one, then some high-flying leaves had me thinking I was seeing meteors.

Venus is Bright and Brilliant in the East !

It's great to wake up and sign on and read the wonderful report about GG's and your day, Wanda

also nice report on the Soup Kitchen, Drat! I could have been there....

Congratulations and then some, Andy !! BRAVO

Prayers for Dana this morning as she heads, maybe flies, to Winchester

Good morning,

Just a quick hello this morning.

We had a noisy, windy thunderstorm here last night, too. Weather alarm went off to tell us about a severe thunderstorm watch, but by that time it was a severe thunderstorm listen because it was upon us.

stronghunter said...

Tried live cam. Got message that it is not available.

glo said...

Good morning everyone, Reading you all are having storms in nestville. I came in to pour some coffee as some of you are keeping some mighty late hours out east. Mny different reason. Surgeries, not feeling so good, and some are voting for my Furry friend who was in 3rd place when I went to bed last night.

I try to thank you all personally for your votes but if I have missed you I do want you to know I DO thank you all. It makes it nice for this contest as I get to see ALL of my friends who have voted. I can't see the daily votes but I do know who you are, once you allow the application. Many many of you are NCTC long term friends. It means so much to me to see your names as they come up.

Prayers for the many needs I read quickly as I stopped in. Coffee and if you want even some dog treats for all :-) Maybe when the storms lift the cam will come back for us.

Glo and Dex

Costume Lady said...

GOOD MORNING..
Rolled out of bed this morning and thought about DANA. I'm more concerned about her trip over to Winchester than I am about her surgery. The wind is unrelenting!
Prayers, that everything turns out well for her.

Costume Lady said...

Good Morning, Glo.
Yes, it is still windy here in Nestville. I don't have a wind-o-meter, but I would guess it's blowing at least 60mph. All the leaves that I blew away from the flower beds and mulched, have been replaced by new ones:(

I'm thrilled to hear that you and Dex are in third place...just two more days to go. We will keep voting and encouraging others to vote until the 19th♥

glo said...

Thanks Wanda Not sure if its me or facebook. But I can't even get in there right now to check the standings. Have no clue where we are this am. Needed to get in here and pour that coffee first. Maybe i should dump a little in my hard drive.

I sure hope the wind dies down and storms are over. We have a chance of that 4 letter word today but only a few flakes. :-)

Lynne2 said...

wow, that was some storm! Possible tornado where our friends Dave and Wendy live in Parkville. Lots of damage. They are OK (Wendy slept through the whole thing) but much damage to homes and apartments just a couple of blocks from them.

KUDOS to you Shirley for having a Weather Alarm!! I totally dropped my weather ball...when I checked the radar and weather before I headed to bed, there was nothing at all looking to come our way. No one even mentioned a chance of storms, let alone severe weather! So the radio was NOT on to alert us. I should have known better :(
Thank God we don't have any damage here. Suspect more trees will come down today due to soaked ground and high winds predicted for this afternoon.

Ms Bookworm said...

Good Morning, Everyone!

Wow, Lynne, batten down the hatches! Sure hope the storms in your vicinity don't get any worse! Sounds a lot like what our kids often go through in the Dallas area.

Lynne2 said...

No Andy, all was done and over with by 2am. Sunny, mild and windy today, but will get cold tonight.

Congrats by the way on your awesome grades!

Shirley,
That goes for you, too! Hope the storms decide to cool it a bit in your area!

Glo,
I've tried to vote for Dex again, but can't get back in there to do it. Will keep trying. Third place! WOW! And hopefully, even better than that!
Give Dex a dog treat for me, and tell him I said "Howdy"!

Lynne2 said...

well, the insulation guys who were coming between 10 and noon got here at 8:30. The good news was that instead of having to get through my closet and then the neighbor over the garages apartment, he did it all from over there so I was spared having to juggle dogs and empty my closet! AND, I now have my whole morning free before babysitting! SO LOOK OUT DAISY AND PUDDLES...it has just become BATH MORNING!!

glo said...

OK Thanks Shirley site is very touch and go for sure this am.
Hmmm Bath morning at lynne's . Dex would definitely prefer the coffee and dog treats route we took :-)

NEW THREAD Jim was over there alone when I headed that way so head on over.
