Wow! Thank you Steve and Margy for the mystery thread alert!!!

Just made gravy awhile ago from the roast juice!!! We ate dinner using all the juice from pan, so I just did the gravy to save!Emeril saved the day----could actually cut and chew it!

Went to craft fair today & did get a seaglass necklace for daughter's Xmas present. Kathy, who is acting chief (w/no xtra $$$)will make some matching earrings. Fubby will hopefully give up ladder climbing now, so all & all it was a successful day around here.

WOW! Steve, we've been chatting away and never saw your 8:49pm new thread.
Thank you ever so much.
Thanks for the call over Margy - I
thought you had called it a day

I was catching up on old newspapers and came out and found it Loretta...and other Saturday night pals
now I need to backtrack to the old thread for what I missed in the meantime

My sister who died in Dec 2007, had taken a slip on a frosty wooden deck two years before she died.....broke tibia and fibula bones right down at the bottom, so it was more like an ankle injury, nasty break....recovery was okay, but very difficult for her with her Alzheimer's Disease condition...I was not happy that she was released on the same day, but that's the way it goes sometimes

magpie said...

I fell asleep three times since I signed off Jo :)

have a niece - 6 years old, takes asthma medications, she had two broken arms this year...family and doctors still trying to determine if there is any connection
(her casts were pink ☺)

Welcome NCSuzan, beautiful moniker AND avatar....

nice to see you again

Sounds like a way-fun double birthday celebration, Paula...

magpie said...

please don't get any more colds Lynn...we missed you TOO MUCH when you had to miss Connowingo

Loretta, sounds like some nice gifts, and glad Frank survived his "aerial" maneuvers

going to bed for real now...no more newspapers, just pillows and blankets

Prayers for Judie and all our needs here, today and everyday

God Bless Us, Every One

Hi all! First let me say that I am so glad Judie is out of surgery and all went well. Bless her!

We had a fantastic afternoon and evening at the TCU game. TCU won but did not play well. Final score 40 to 35. What was interesting is this was the last game in the old stadium. They are remodeling and it will take two years. Anyway, the afternoon was special with lot of special things since was the last game. Then following the game was a spectacular fireworks display.

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, the thread was up for hours!

paula eagleholic said...

Loretta, didn't realize that was Fubby you were talking about on the ladder, must have been reading too quickly!

Gonna hit the hay here too, have some yard work and other stuff I need to get done tomorrow.

Hugs to all ♥

Watched a Hallmark movie this evening.
Very light hearted & enjoyable.
Time for me to think about hitting the pillows. Just won my game of Solitaire so I have no excuse to stay up.

Want to check out just 2 or 3 cams.

Surprised no one is on watching nest. Maybe you are just out there watching and haven't commented yet.

Good Cold Sundday morning.
Wondering if the eagles have been here yet?

Costume Lady said...

I've been watching off and on since7am....nothing yet.
About to leave for church to slide dressing, mac and cheese and others into the ovens. Another long day, but I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoy the fellowship with each other!
Have a beautiful, blessed Sunday♥

NCSuzan said...

Dana, good morning! I'm watching but also just trying to still wake up! Sleep was good this morning! How are you doing?

NCSuzan said...

Isn't it a little late for a visit?

NCSuzan said...

These guys are up and get their work done early and have the rest of the day to do their own thing!

Costume Lady said...

Hi, Suzan...our Royal Pair can show up at ANYTIME from now on...when you least expect it, they may pop in:)

NCSuzan said...

Ahhhh, so they keep everyone on their toes!

NCSuzan said...

Sounds like a beautiful morning at your church. All of your hard work will pay off in fellowship and more.

wvgal_dana said...

Good morning Wanda and NCSuzan.

Yes Wanda is right they can come anytime. It does seem late although those two like surprising us.

NCSuzan I seen in comments you was at the 2009 Open House dinner. That is why I hadn't met you. That was when I didn't want since June or July of that year to leave my husband alone. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with him. That is why also I didn't make that dinner.

Hope to meet you at another eagle dinner.

Wanda enjoy your fellowship after service. I know you and Gene and others have worked hard to bring this all together.

I am watching the potted owls. One is preening itself. It seems to be the one that probably flew up to the planter or whatever it was. I think the other one hasn't yet. lol It just woke and is stretching. They are so cute even in their growth. Stretching those wings.

wvgal_dana said...

Those baby owls are hilarious when watching something. The way they circle their heads around, and those big eyes.

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, Dana, Suzan and Wanda.

having trouble typing, need more coffee

NCSuzan said...

Dana, I was not at the dinner. That info is wrong. I would love to have attended but my health will not let me go much of anywhere.

paula eagleholic said...

Lynne, hope you are feeling better this morning.

NCSuzan said...

Good morning, Paula. How are you this beautiful day? Do you have special plans? or can you relax and do for yourself today?

paula eagleholic said...

I am going to tackle some yardwork and housework after the coffee and some cams :)

paula eagleholic said...

Thinking about washing the car, too :)

NCSuzan said...

A healthy mix of activities planned. I used to love working in my yard (except for fall leaf raking).Enjoy your day.

NCSuzan said...

Wow! don't think anymore!! You will fill your day plus more. We can all do that though can't we? Never enough hours in a day.

paula eagleholic said...

It's gonna be a pretty one here today...would rather work outside than in!

NCSuzan said...

Yes, Paula. I agree. Outside is always good.

NCSuzan said...

Will see you guys later. Hope everyone has a fantabulous day.

paula eagleholic said...

Sounds like the fire department siren going off at the nest.

Happy 5th Birthday to your grandson Cohen, Paula

Good Sunday Morning Eagle Friends
Great fall morning here in West Virginia ☼

magpie said...

have a red-shouldered hawk in the neighborhood which I saw, and a nuthatch which I can hear

I was watching the Royal Nest off and on but probably not early enough to see if there was a morning visit

computer here still not exactly playing nicely

Best wishes for a good day, everyone...

paula eagleholic said...

Hearing some vehicle noises, just sounded like a honk

paula eagleholic said...

Thank you, Margy...have a good day!

magpie said...

By the Way:

The Leonid Meteor showers peak on the morning of the 17th

With the "waxing gibbous moon" viewing will be best after 3 am

there should be some before and after that date though so keep your early morning eyes to the skies

and also check out Venus in the East on any of these mornings an hour or so before sunrise - it is purely spectacular!

You will surely know it when you see it

magpie said...

Thinking of our Judie this morning ♥

hoping she is comfortable, and comforted

wvgal_dana said...

Morning Paula and Margy.

I'll be having surgery on Wednesday 17th. So if Janet and me have to be up there very early we just might see it Margy.

Paula HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO COHEN !! (:

Prayers said this am for Judie and Frank, Carole (Iris's cousin Barbara's Daughter), Lynne2 get over cold, Lynn & Bill, Judie not to worry about her classes, "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and their families. Lord if there is anyone I have not listed you know them and can add them in with the Prayers going up. Thank you in Thy NAME Amen.

wvgal_dana said...

Bird feeder has been busy this AM. Different woodpeckers, cardinals, bluejay (grr sometimes but I love them too), yellow finches, purple finches, titmice, black capped chickadees, and some sparrows.

hedgie said...

Morning all. Another chilly one. No sign of our birds since I got up....unless it was very quick when I had my back turned.
Have a real cacophony of crow noises here....they are so varied in their vocalizations---make me laugh.
Hope Judie had a comfortable night, and woke up with a good appetite. She must have been starving!

Lolly said...

Good morning! Beautiful day here. Presently 49 and sun shiney! :) Leaving to get ready for church shortly.

Paula, sounds like you have a full day planned. Enjoy!

Wondering about Judie this morning. Certainly hope she is comfortable.

Have a great Sunday everyone and I'll be back later this afternoon. Going to try to remember to have the cam up at 4.

Lynne2 said...

Morning all! Feeling much better this morning!

Now to catch up on all the stuff that didn't get done yesterday.....

wvgal_dana said...

Good Morning Hedgie-Lynn, Lolly and Lynne2.

Our eagles haven't made a nest visit this Am. I guess they figured they put on a good show yesterday. lol

Lynn was driving back roads in Hedgesville yesterday. Had been thinking "do I really need that surgery on that right knee?". Well after having to use the brake and gas pedals so much. Today I am ready for surgery on it. Putting it on cruise on I-81 doesn't bother it. When I get off interstates.

wvgal_dana said...

bbl got to get load out of dryer

Want things clean before Wednesday, well as much as can be.

Kathryn and Hunter are in the dining room working on a school project for Hunter. I am sitting here contemplating what I need to do. Much school work is waiting for me in addition to other things here at home.

Just got an UPDATE ON CAROLE-Iris's cousin Barbara's daughter. Carole DID NOT have a TIA or mini stroke like she did last year. She is still in hospital. Iris didn't say but I am sure they are running test to find out what has happened. More later when Iris finds out more. I will relay to the blog. Still keep her and them in your PRAYERS!

I did forget to say this morning that with my prayers. I also had the "Darkhorse" 3rd Battalion 5th Marines fighting it out in Afghanistan and their families.

Good Late Sunday Morning...
Thinking about Wanda and Gene and the fellowship at the Church dinner.

Praying that Judie doesn't have too much discomfort this morning & that Frank rested well through the night.

WOW! the sun is shinning and the trees are either a beautiful color or bare!
Enjoy your day everyone.

paula eagleholic said...

paula eagleholic said...

I too hope Judie is feeling better this morning....probably will take a few days, I'm sure.

hedgie said...

You're 10° warmer than me, Paula!
Still crsip here. I think my corn has fermented...turned into MASH....squirrels are acting like they are looped. Hysterical to watch!

hedgie said...

Good to hear that Carole did not have a stroke of any kind. Hope they find out what IS happening soon.

Pretty day here. It has warmed up. We were on the porch barefoot awhile ago because a dog came to visit Flash and Luna who are confined out there. My front porch makes a nice doggy run.

Thanks for the pot plant link, Jo.

Just got a new pic of my puppy. It's up on my Lair! Take a peek---bet you'll love her, too!
They are taking good care of her! Have started little nail trims (Shar Pei are very sensitive about it, and my Shang always had to be anesthetized to do it, so hoping to thwart that kind of scenario!), will be giving baths soon. Hopefully only a few more weeks before she will arrive here!
Thank you, Shar Pei Rescue of Virginia!!!!
