Thanks Steve! We have no sound on our cam, guess you know that.

I will go yell at the others!

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks for the new thread, Steve.

Yes, our eagles are turtle catching experts!

Thanks for the call over, Pam.

stronghunter said...

Thanks Steve and Pam.

Lolly said...

Hi Lynne, do you have sound. I certainly do not and Paula mentioned she did not have sound.

Yep, two turtle shells for the taking. Watch out for Jo, she will be climbing up there soon,

PammySue said...

You are welcome and I must say that you guys are the most polite people ever. That is very refreshing these days. ♥

I also have to say that I am not a summer person, so I have already had enough of this heat. :(

paula eagleholic said...

Isla's chicks are looking more grown up each day...their coloring is so pretty. She sure is an amazing osprey, isn't she!

Lolly said...

Same here, Pam and we have July and August to go. Yikes!

paula eagleholic said...

I'll send an email.

Pam, my cam working fine in IE, but no sound.

Lolly said...

Yes, she is Paula. And those chicks of her just dig in to eating. Palmer could learn something from them. They chirp, but chirp politely, not like Palmer. LOL

paula eagleholic said...

I sent an email about the sound.

paula eagleholic said...

I wonder if she didn't find a nasty fish somewhere that only she consumed.

paula eagleholic said...

Looks like one is stuffed, the other is still eating. They do seem polite, don't they!

Lolly said...

Talking about Isla? Can not imagine here eating a fish all by herself.

LOL Talking about Palmer? Maybe eating a nasty fish makes her nasty to her parents.????☺

LOL blog update

6.30pm Update:
Our lady of the loch is looking stronger still this evening, having spent all day back at her normal duties with the chicks, and using the nest perch again- what a sight, to see her surveying her domain again! She has spent a lot of time today preening and has taken several trips off the nest to wash herself- like anyone recovering from a life threatening illness, she seems to want to get herself back in good order! Fingers crossed all around for continued improvement and no relapses!
Emma Rawling
Please Note: tonight will be the first night since all this started that we feel we will be able to leave our osprey overnight and go home a get some sleep! We will of course be watching her via the cameras and there are people on site in case of emergencies as always. However, we won’t be in the office so if there is a delay in your blog comments appearing don’t worry! Thanks for your patience, Emma

Those folks surely deserve a good night's rest!

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, LOlly!

Lynne2 said...

No Lolly, no sound on my cam either.

Glad you all enjoyed the relaxing video series on my blog!

hedgie said...

They sure do, Paula...and Peter needs to get away from the bugs!!!
Good update.

Lolly said...

I am getting very heavy eyes. think I will take a Panda nap.

PammySue said...

I went to the Loch of Lowes cam - - is that Isla standing there in the nest? If so, she looks great.

Lynne2 said...

good grief Pam....I must not have gotten my camera out before you and your hubby left because I don't have any pics of you at the nest! So sorry....I'll have to make up for it at Open House!

PammySue said...

Lynne, that is not a big deal. I don't like having my picture taken anyway. I tend to run and hide when cameras come out.

Lynne2 said...

well then I'll have to sneak up on you Pam!

paula eagleholic said...

Answer about the cam sound:

They are doing maintenance on the cam audio system, may take a day or two to fix.

Steve

Mema Jo said...

Palmer probably blew out the audio with her loud squealing! lol

Mema Jo said...

The 3 osprey chicks at BWO are lined up and very visible now.

hedgie said...

Really surprising that the quake the far north would be felt way down this way! Must be a VERY long fault line.

Never knew that the nurse had been identified before. Interesting.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROL Hope it is cooler up on the mountain.
Lynne loved your video's and the sky last night was absolutely gorgous but we did not get a drop of rain.
Did not feel the earthquake either.

Judie said...

Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you, Steve.

Thank you Pam.

Yell as loud as you can Lolly. No sound!

Paula, I may have mentioned early in Isla's ordeal that she may have gotten something to eat -- not poison but maybe a diseased fish. No matter as she seems to being doing so well. Amazing just doesn't even begin to describe.

hope Jack's trip goes well

I hope to collect a few grandson stories tonight...headed to Berkeley Springs shortly...taking water squirt bottles and balloons of course ! (and a change of clothes)

Hope the evening goes well for everyone

I had heard on weather alert radio at work that Anne Arundel county was getting 80 mph winds last night...hope it did not affect anyone too badly...

Lynne and Paula
forgot to say: Those butterfly pictures from nest visit day, butterfly on Paula's arm....really neat pictures!

Jo
already has the July nest album ready for pictures!
Thanks!
Put the "Like an Eagle Shadow" picture on Magpie's roost, and also on the June album

okay time to go

Lynne2 said...

Margy, it was very lucky to be able to hear and get the sound of the wood thrush on the camera while all the other birds were silent!!! We didn't see one....we did see quite a few hermit thrush though. I double checked the songs to make sure I had them straight. Will post camping story and pictures soon. But I will say that one decadent thing we did was to eat Ben and Jerry's by the campfire Sunday night!

I can't believe anyone felt a quake that was relatively small and so far away in this area, but who am I to say?

Ceil, it's been a long time since I've seen a sky so beautiful as it was last night...a real treat for my drive home from babysitting! I only wish I had had my camera with me to get a video.

Judie, I think you are right...she must have eaten something bad, but not bad enough to keep her down. She is an amazing bird!

A former coworker posted a picture she took on FB...going to get it and put on my blog....really cool. Give me a few minutes...

PammySue said...

LOL, Lynne. I now have a mental picture of you sneaking around with a camera, waiting to pounce.

Jo, you are probably right about Palmer's squawking breaking the audio equipment!

Lynne2 said...

BTW...please someone put my nest pics in the Momster Album if you like!

Lynne2 said...

wouldn't be the first time I have had to use covert techniques to get an unwilling person's picture Pam!

hedgie said...

Stoopid branch beginning to show at LOL---nightfall close. Temp ranges there today were in the 60's, night temps to be in 50's. Not bad!

movin said...

tHAT picture of the sailor and nurse on VJ day really brings back the memories for me.

I was right on 5 years old, but it was such a big deal ... from FDR's death, through VE Day and VJ Day that I remember the time very vividly.

We were in a Federal Housing Project in San Diego while Dad did his SeaBee duty.

Whenever a big event occurred, we all would gather in the courtyard between the buildings, a neighbor with a large table model radio (still worked at the end of the war) would set it up in their open window and crank up the volume.

Well, at the V days, there was a hell of a lot of kissing, dancing and general celebrating going on all day and into the evening around our area, believe me!!

Hi, Everyone!
Thanks, Steve!
Slept in late this morning, and it felt SOOOO good, but have been playing 52-pick-up ever since. Have cleaned up the dirty dishes, put in one more load of laundry, spot-cleaned the LR carpet, and put away a load of dry clothes (Shirley, glad your ol' dryer is still working!). Have a mug of coffee handy, so hope to get my second wind soon. Had to drop in and say hello! (Oh--have been catching up on e-mails, too--at least a LITTLE bit!)

So very glad that Isla has improved enough that Peter and Emma feel safe in getting a good night's sleep tonight! Isla is officially the most amazing Osprey I have EVER heard of! God bless her!

Miss hearing our Palmer, but know they're working hard to fix the problem.

Don't remember whether I mentioned it or not, but my glasses frame broke, and I've had to dig out my old pair of glasses to wear. Makes for some eyestrain, but hope to get an appt. very soon, AND some new glasses! MTBR...

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynne,
Checked out the videos and pictures on your blog, and they are just fantastic! Thanks!

Lynne2 said...

wow Jim, what great memories!!

OK, picture is up....very cool!

Ms Bookworm said...

Have a bit more housework to do, so will check back in a bit later.
Have a good afternoon/evening! :o]

hedgie said...

Isla is making some pretty sounds right now!

hedgie said...

Margy, have fun with James! Stay COOL!

hedgie said...

If you didn't hear---Candy had on FB, and now on news---Team USA beat Algeria in World Cup action. Up next: Ghana. Rah, rah!

Lynne2 said...

thanks Andy! I'm becoming quite the camera happy gal here lately! Have to do some reading of my instruction book...had camera for over a year or so, and never really read how to focus, etc. I took what I thought were some really good pictures, especially of wildflowers, but they are blurry. Of course, part of the problem is that I refuse to wear my glasses and my up close vision is really bad now....going to have to give up and wear them. UGH. I just don't LIKE them. My distance vision isn't too bad. So I don't really need them for that. But I am a total klutz with these bifocals...have a hard time getting used to them.

I hope you can get your new glasses very soon!

Mema Jo said...

I'm headed out to meet Alexis for dinner and play date! BBILW

hedgie said...

Judie, Peter and crew---and I guess vet---said it probably wasn't food because Isla shared it all with the osprey-ettes.

hedgie said...

Gee, LOL cam has been running for 15 mins! Maybe # of viewers has decreased, allowing for it to stay up. First time since Sat.!

Lynne2 said...

I am very excited to say that it looks like I am going to have the honor of working with the animals on a volunteer basis at the Irvine Nature Center!!!
Will also be helping with craft project prep for the camp kids, and gardening as well!
I really wish I could be a Naturalist and work with and teach the kids in the various age group summer camps, but need to commit for rest of summer and I can't because any day now I could get a job. I hope.

Lynne2 said...

oh yeah, I guess that makes sense Lynn. But she COULD have eaten a little something on her own maybe? Sure would like to know....

BEagle said...

Hello everyone.

I enjoy the osprey updates. Isla is a trooper.

Earthquake? I wonder if it has anything to do with the very slight tremor at the office today.

The polka dot knickers are cute. Thanks for the knicker update.

Lynne2 said...

Jo, if you are still here...that turtle is pretty big and on land....my GUESS is possible snapping turtle en route to a breeding ground. Too hard to tell for sure in the picture.

hedgie said...

Good memories for you, Jim, I hope---other than your dad being away.

BEagle said...

If you look closely you can see three turtle shells on the nest.

Two are right side up and the 3rd is to the right of the cam tree upside down.

It is right below the bigger shell.

I still haven't seen a hand reaching from over the edge of the nest at night. Spidey's web makes it hard to see any nest activity.

: D

paula eagleholic said...

Yup, there are three, still. Thanks for finding that 3rd one, BEagle.

I guess the eagles are picking them off the rocks or logs in the river...

paula eagleholic said...

Headed home to mow, catch ya'll later!

paula eagleholic said...

Since the sound is off, we'll have to watch to see if Palmer arrived this evening!

movin said...

BEagle said...

And we have an adult on the nest.

BEagle said...

And along cam Palmer and has ballooned over something on the nest.

BEagle said...

May be it is good we cannot hear.

BEagle said...

I have to go. Someone else see Palmer?

BEagle said...

Palmer is eating. I wasn't quick enough to see if Lib brought dinner in or if Palmer did this herself.

She is enjoying it. It's probably a fish.

BEagle said...

I forgot to mention that the adult flew off while Palmer was looking like a balloon.

BEagle said...

It's not "...along cam Palmer.."
It's "along came Palmer.."

BEagle said...

Palmer moved the fish from center to left about 10ish.

BEagle said...

I don't see anymore food or fish.
Palmer is now at the cam tree.

Mush go.
BBL

hedgie said...

Well, I see Palmer made it home!!!

hedgie said...

BEagle don't rush when you mush!!! LOL!

hedgie said...

Wonder if Palmer has been taught how to take a cooling dip in the river yet?

Lynne, congrats on your new volunteer gig!! Sounds really beat.
But still praying you find a paying job!

hedgie said...

Make that NEAT!!!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Gang,
Checking back in quickly--Hubby will be home before long, with stuff to make for dinner.

Lynne, congratulations! I'm SO jealous! Sounds like a LOT of fun!
Hmm...bifocals--I have TRIfocals, and when I first got some, they told me to PLEASE not wear them while driving back home! Only way I ever got used to them was to wear them a few hours every day for about a week. When they got to be too much, just switched to the old glasses for a while. Have to train your brain what part of the lens to look through for each distance. Once that's done, NO more problems! Have a friend with bifocal contacts, and those take a while, too, but it's amazing what your brain can sort out! :o]

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynn,
Still praying for your daughter about the 911 job--is her 2nd interview on Friday?

Lynne2 said...

Andy, I couldn't wear progressive lens at all...they actually made me sick to my stomach! So I got regular bifocals instead. But the is definitely and "unclear zone" where it's fuzzy between close up and far away. Was wondering if trifocals are next for me. UGH. I trip a lot when I were the glasses...just can't seem to get used to them!

Ms Bookworm said...

Lynne,
I couldn't get used to having a line on the lens. Hope you can get something worked out!

Ms Bookworm said...

Say, maybe contacts with reading glasses....

Ms Bookworm said...

Oops--gotta run. Pizza for dinner, with a big salad! BBL...

Lynne2 said...

Palmer still hanging out! Don't like not having sound to alert us!

Lynne2 said...

It'll work out when I get over myself and start wearing like them a big girl on a regular basis and get used to them!

stronghunter said...

I did not want to think about regular bifocals, so I chose the progressive ones. They work okay for me.

paula eagleholic said...

whoa we have a Palmer in the nest!

stronghunter said...

I wrote a comment, and I guess it is still out there in bloggerland. Maybe I can push it on with this one.

stronghunter said...

Well, it got pushed on, but now the next one is waiting.

paula eagleholic said...

I have bifocal contacts...they do one for distance, and one for close up...your eyes learn to adjust...some people need it done gradually.

It is HOT and MUGGY out there! Only about half the grass needed cutting in the front and the same for the back. We need rain!

paula eagleholic said...

UH OH, so are both of my comments...gone with the wind.

paula eagleholic said...

Oh well, can't comment so gonna go feed the dogs...

paula eagleholic said...

Now they are there...stoopid blog acting up again.

Lynne2 said...

I really don't know why I couldn't do the progressive...I'm the only person I know who can't. I felt like everything was wavy. I think I'm just unbalanced!

I am very excited about working with the rehab animals at Irvine. They have 2 redtails, a barred owl, 2 screech owls, an opossum, several kinds of frogs and snakes, box turtle and terrapins at the moment!

stronghunter said...

Yes, I am having trouble posting, too, Paula.

paula eagleholic said...

7:50 pm

Palmer still in the nest, was at the launch pad with wings spread, now laying down on the launch pad facing the left

I am grateful for my AC today!

stronghunter said...

It's posting, but slowly.

Lynne2 said...

wow, this is odd....talk about bad luck!
Man struck by lightning gets mauled by a bear

hedgie said...

Definitely the progressive lenses are the way to go. I wouldn't have anything else. I tried bifocal contacts, as well as one distant and one far---just could not get the depth perception to feel safe driving!

Lynne2 said...

wow, the blogs gone crackers!

paula eagleholic said...

Comments coming and going...

Lynne, sounds like a great volunteer job!

Lynne2 said...

well, the posts are showing up in my email but not here!

paula eagleholic said...

PH chick has fledged, not sure which one, probably A69

Judie said...

Jim, great story. Don't remember those times myself. Just know the atomic bomb was first tested the day I was born and my mom said the world had never been the same. Never was quite sure she meant because of the bomb or me. lol

Lynne, congratulations on being able to work with rehab animals. You'll be great at that. I have progressives and it does take some getting used to. Still have to take glasses off sometimes when walking and looking down.

BEagle, I think Jo could be very stealthy sneaking her hand into the nest -- you will have to watch as I can't get the live cam.

Judie said...

Oh, glad Palmer has returned and has some dinner.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer just took off, 8:21pm

paula eagleholic said...

A69 fledged yesterday

Lynne2 said...

YES! Good to know Judie, that I'm not alone!!!

paula eagleholic said...

Michael just called and wanted to know how to make my lemon chicken...love those calls. ♥

paula eagleholic said...

Hmm, blog seems OK now.

Lynne2 said...

well, while no rain is predicted for tonight, there is a rather substantial slug of rain and storms to the west of here heading this way showing up on radar....almost to Cumberland now, will see if it holds over the mountains.

hedgie said...

Well, I don't see Palmer now---she must have taken off.

Lynne2 said...

aww, she did poof...

hedgie said...

I'd say that unlucky guy is really pretty lucky!! Surviving two things that could just have easily killed him is pretty rare!

Lynne2 said...

true Lynn, glass half FULL for sure is a better way to look at it!

Heading for shower....

Judie said...

Oh no, the slugs have morphed into a rain storm. Sneaky little creepers.

BEagle said...

Back again.

Bifocal contacts, one close and one far, are wonderful.........but had to go to glasses.

Nothing compares to progressive lenses in my estimation.

I didn't see Palmer home when I came in. :(

That would no doubt be #69 that fledged at PH. None of the other eaglets practiced quite that much and about two weeks younger than Palmer.

Lolly said...

I got on earlier, saw Palmer in the nest, started to blog and my laptop froze up. So, I shut down. Fixed myself some dinner and went outside. Here it is 8:15 and 90 degrees. We need rain desperately. We went from too much rain and cool to HOT and NO rain.

Did some on line shopping. Jack's birthday is next month. Just ordered him a "Campfire in a Can". LOL When we are traveling there are lots of places that say no campfires. Well, they now have propane "campfires". They are pretty neat. My brother in law had one and we all sat around it at a RV park that does not allow fires. Neat! Of course, it is not a good as a real campfire, but really it is a great alternative.

Lolly said...

Saw the discussion on glasses. I have worn the progressive lens for many years now. Love them but it did take some getting used to. Jack wears tri focals and thinks I am crazy to prefer progressive. To each his own!

BEagle said...

I suppose whatever is easiest to tolerate is the best think when it comes to seeing anything.

paula eagleholic said...

K06 at the TH nest fledged today.

Lolly said...

Had to give Annie her meds. First time for me to do it alone. Two droppers as we crush the pill and give it to her in a dropper of sugar water. So, I prepared the droppers. Went looking for her. Could not find her. Searched everywhere. Then happened to look in the living room and there she was on the dining room table. We have the door shut on one end and a gate on the other side of the room. She wont jump the gate, but there was a gap and she had found her way in. Sneaky cat!

BWO update -

We just posted a new update to our Blackwater Osprey Cam Web Log, which features three new videos of our osprey family.

Judie said...

Back to say my goodnights.

Feeling tired tonight. Did a bit much and I think the heat/humidity have zapped my energy.

Turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in and for those who will head back the hallway, up the stairs, to the tub or shower, or those just wishing to avoid stepping on slugs. Andy, please set our alarm. Thank you.

Until tomorrow...

stronghunter said...

Goodnight, Judie.

Will and I have been sitting at the kitchen table picking meat from the leftover crabs. We are freezing it until we can make crab cakes. A lot of work for a little bit of meat. I could never earn a living picking crabs.

Hope and Lily Update

stronghunter said...

Thanks for the link, Lolly. I am happy to learn that Hope is still doing well.

wvgal_dana said...

I'm just getting on and everyone is going to bed. lol

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Dana!
I just got here too. Came to see whether there was an update on Hope, and (Thank you, Lolly!) there it is! Good to hear that Hope and Lily are both doing well.

Lolly said...

I thought tonights update was very interesting. Poor little Hope! So fearful of everything! Even the yearling allows them to adjust her collar.

hedgie said...

Wee bit of breeze coming out of the NW----not much but it feels better out there.

wvgal_dana said...

Lynn2 love the sky picture and thanks for the nice videos.

Ms Bookworm said...

Lolly, glad you found Annie. How did it go with the meds? Okay, I hope.

Ms Bookworm said...

Shirley,
Crab cakes sure sound yummy! Picking that crab meat just might be worth the trouble!

Guess some folks are having trouble with the blog. I don't seem to be--hope it fixes itself for you guys soon!

hedgie said...

Interesting update on the bears. Poor things----hard to imagine that things could bite through all that fur. Yuck---eating the engorged ticks---is that considered auto-transfusion???

Dana, glad you got the PC up and running!

Lolly said...

I held Annie on my lap, held her head and forced her mouth open Poor kitty. She is asking out now, but she is in for the night! We are getting used to hear her bad mouth us. Never had a cat that talks so much. LOL

Ms Bookworm said...

Yes, Dana! good to see you here!
Really miss you when you're gone.
How's Little Man doing?

hedgie said...

Morning at LOL. Chicks are waking up. No sign of the Lady Isla or the Laird.

Lolly said...

Yes, I thought the bit about ticks rather disgusting! LOL Never thought about bears getting ticks and that poor yearling that had so many!

Ms Bookworm said...

Hi, Lynn,
Can't imagine eating a tick, engorged or not! Technically, I guess that WOULD be an auto-transfusion, unless the tick came from another bear!

hedgie said...

Shirley, a lot of work for a little bit of yummy! Good that you had Will helping you.

Okay, Gang, I'm getting ready to turn in. Stay as cool as you can. See you tomorrow. Prayers for all.

I am just coming in to say Good Night

stronghunter said...

I hope medicating Annie gets easier, Lolly. We have definitely had our times with medicating pets. The bassets seem to swallow anything offered, but we had a beagle, Snoopy, who could eat a dish of food and leave the hidden pill in the bottom of the dish untouched.

I use the pill popper twice a day for George and mix his liquid medicine into his food.

paula eagleholic said...

Crabs are definitely worth picking to have crabcakes, etc, later. Was just talking about that last night...my brothers and I would sit and pick crabs after dinner, and we would have crabcakes in the middle of winter :)

Nite, all!

Hugs to all ♥

stronghunter said...

I have no plans to remove ticks from any bears.

Good night.

stronghunter said...

Don't think this crab meat will last until winter!

Lolly said...

Let's form a club! Those who do not plan to remove ticks from bears! ☺

Okay, think I am going to go pop some popcorn and fix a G & T to have with it. Jack is gone and when he is gone, I stay up late. Then going to give myself a manicure as well as a pedicure. Sure wish I could reach my toes! ☺

I am sitting in my chair, Annie is right beside me, looking up and meowing away! I have told her no repeatedly. She just will not listen to me!

Nite all! Sweet dreams!

I think osprey chicks are just more polite than eagle chicks. I remember the little ones who lined up to be fed in the Finney nest last summer. These little ones line up, too. And they are not nearly as loud.

stronghunter said...

Something calling very near the osprey nest microphone.

stronghunter said...

Something flying or floating in the background.

stronghunter said...

Jo,prayers for your hubby's brother.

magpie said...

wow that buzz is /was really loud now!
must be very close to mic

Hi Shirley....

I slept during the day after midnight shift last night..so this is my more or less normal time to be awake

sounds like power boats of motorcycles on Loch's also

stronghunter said...

Headed back upstairs. Usually, a snack or a cup of tea or a glass of milk helps me sleep. I have decided to try some dairy products again. I will have to decide whether or not it causes problems. Will talk to doctor when I see him.

I think I hear both insects and motorboats at the Loch.

stronghunter said...

Hi Margy, yes, I hear either motorboats or motorcycles. And an adult osprey.

magpie said...

might just be a horsefly, loud in the same way Spidey sometimes looks big maybe

Finney nest looks nice, think that is Dad there now

I expect you get your nights and days all mixed up with your work schedule.

magpie said...

well, there ain't nuthin' wrong with our hearing is there! LOL

I might still be up for the early morning ISS flyover...or get back up....skies were clearing here a little while ago
kind of half and half now

stronghunter said...

Haven't watched Finney so much this summer. I do not keep up with nearly as many cams as some on here do. There isn't time except when school is out.

magpie said...

sure do...
might have to seriously cut back on the caffeine too...
well, Shirley, hope you can tolerate some dairy products....
I have some "Turkey Hill" Columbian chip Ice cream...might break into that soon

also hope you can sleep soon...but it sure is nice you have your schedule pretty much to make on your own for awhile...

stronghunter said...

Could easily get used to the no-work schedule. It would be nice to retire, but someone has to pay the mortgage.

I am going to try going back to bed now.

Enjoy your ice cream.

I hope you get to see the fly-over. I think I will probably be sleeping.

stronghunter said...

Wouldn't mind seeing a spider get that annoying insect.

magpie said...

I haven't been able to keep up with a whole lot of the nests either...

seems to be a really long time at the Loch nest with no adult...maybe it is normal but with so much activity the last few days, is just seems different

stronghunter said...

See you later.

stronghunter said...

I was thinking the same thing, but I do hear calls from an adult.

stronghunter said...

Good night.

magpie said...

Good Morning Eagle Friends!

The sun in up, but PALMER IS NOT IN THE NEST again this morning.

Does anyone know if Palmer made it back to the nest yesterday?

Lori O. said...

PALMER STILL NOT IN THE NEST.

But, I'm waiting. :)

BEagle said...

Good morning Lori.

Wanted to check if Palmer came back.
She did arrive last night at around 6pm.

She followed an adult in but couldn't tell if the adult or Palmer brought the fish.

Adult left and Palmer had the fish and then took off.

That's about it. Palmer is leaving the nest. :(

BEagle said...

The Loch chicks are eating once again.
Fed by Isla.

Lori O. said...

Oh BEAGLE, thank you for the update. I really appreciate it.

I really hope Palmer comes back again tonight if not this morning.

Lori O. said...

For the record:

PALMER HAS STILL NOT RETURNED TO NEST YET THIS MORNING.

Morning all
It was great to come into another glorious morning and to see our girl feeding the chicks. She was also not happy at another osprey taking a look at the nest, she was shouting at it while continuing to feed the chicks so could not have posed a serious threat to her.

On the loch we have three bar-headed geese at the moment, probably escapees, it is a lovely change from the usual Canada geese we have here all year round.

Thanks for your posts during the night I do look forward to reading them in the morning. It is a shame we can't be here to moderate them. Peter

For those wanting to find a different view of the nest, try Camera 2 – available on the webcame home page under the SWT Red Squirrel logo. We often have this camera on other things like squirrels but at the moment we thought you’d like more ospreys! Sorry if we forgot to make this clear. Emma

Good morning Dana and Helen!

The nest at Lock of Lowes showes the chicks resting. No parent there at the moment.

Good Eagle Morning Mits. Thanks for update on LOL's.

Lori maybe you will have to wait till this evening like yesterday. To see Palmer in the nest. Although you never know so keeping watching.

I don't seem to hear the little birds around the nest teeting. A;; very quite. I know my sound is working cause I can hear chicks at LOL when they are making noise.
