Squirrels are smart little critters. I filled my feeders with the bird food that includes peppers. I added a few sunflower seeds. The squirrels have been eating the sunflower seeds. This morning, they found out that one feeder has all the sunflower seeds on top, so they have pulled up the top and are munching away.
Congratulations on your excellent grades, Andy. You are going to graduate with honors.
Hope that today is a better day for your offspring, Lynn.
Judie, hope all goes well with your health coverage.
Best of wishes for Christie today Lynn on new job prospect
big thanks to Dana for making contact with Norma and bringing back a report...sorry to hear she is not feeling so good...
maybe few snail mail get well cards will help boost her spirits! ...sure hope that A/C tech reports for duty today !! If it's a guy, sure hope he is handsome AND skilled...
Mixed the sunflower seeds in and put some sunflower seeds in a more convenient spot for the squirrels. That will work until they consume all of the sunflower seeds there.
Yep, they have already started on them. I did not have many squirrels here until I started to feed the birds, then they came out of the stand of trees in the back. They have to run across the open yard to get to the feeders.
You're right, Margy----I can't tell the difference either unless they are both present! Whichever parent it is.......hope it's not a sign of something to worry about.
trying to get some things done one of those days where I have to say I have read the comments I care
yay for the triumphs whee for the fun and prayers for any illness or tough times going on and hoping that good things happen for those waiting on them....
Going around in circles here. Or maybe spirals, because it seems like the circles keep circling.
Issues with the deductible again. Aaargh! They are checking. I do hope the spirals are going up, not down.
Maybe I will get a another nice check and another letter of apology from the insurance company. Should not have to pay more than $200 for a mammogram when I have insurance and have met the deductible.
I see the adult in the nest. Not hearing anything now.
I have Anthem through my employer. I do not have Medicare Part B. The insurance guy said that they pay 90% of the cost of a mammogram.
Awhile ago, a woman told me that it costs me more because I have a history of cancer, but I never thought that was right. When the guy said they pay 90%, I started asking questions. He went to someone else for answers, and I am waiting. Got his name. He seems polite, and I appreciate that he's checking things out.
Checking in. Finished the task of wrapping the stuff in newspapers and getting it all ready to take away. Decided trying to sell would be more difficult as there is so much. Giving to charity. Maybe others can enjoy. Have to admit there were about half-dozen items I really felt sad about but...it's time.
Cannot get the live cam.
Now to finish typing up the list of stuff. Hope that will be finished this afternoon.
Squirrels? Well, we have a regular group of 5 that visit each day. Intruders are apparently not welcome.
Dentists? It has taken me the better part of my adult life to stop fearing a dentist. Have a good one now. Young. Probably won't stick around long.
Have been really busy doing housework this morning. The pest control guy(s) were supposed to come out early today, and didn't want the place to look too scary! ;o] They set 12 rat traps in the attic, and will come back early on Friday to see if anything got caught (before the long weekend). They come back on Wed. next week to replace some screen on vent holes under the eaves. Haven't seen hide nor hair of the scary 8-legged critter. Guess I put the fear of God in him, all right!
Have been watching the birds in the back yard this morning. Our Oregon Juncos have been out front, but haven't seen them in the back yard yet. Have been sweeping up all the seed hulls from the bird feeders so they don't attract rodents as much. Can't stop feeding the birds, though! Wouldn't help, anyway, because the neighbors behind us and on one side of us have fruit trees. A couple of Black-crowned Night Heron babies have fledged, and they're all over the place. They fly extremely well, so not worried about them at all. (Still no sign of our ornery neighbors--they've been gone for 3 weeks now, I think!) If they never did come back, I don't think I'd miss them. (Oooh--did I say THAT?!) Well, gotta run a quick errand--will be back soon. :o]
Judie, you are to be commended for being able to let go of some of the things you are parting with...:( Ditto here on the dentist thing....except the one I have now I've had for 33 yrs. or so----and he's down to only one day a week. Sold practice....getting ready to retire. So far so good with the new young ones......knock on wood.
Christie has her first-ever filling tomorrow....except for when he was on a teaching sabbatical and had a real jerk filling in, she's had the same dentist her whole life. (I did not go to him because almost everyone at work did and I didn't want them to know what a sissy I was!)
Andy....you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.....birds AND rats or nothing, huh? Shame that the rodents have been driven out into the 'burbs. Hope the extermination seeks out the 8-legger. ARGH! I'd be freaking!

Paula, hope the tooth is comfortable today.
However, the blog is all blogged up! Everytime I post it throws me back to the first 200. Lovely, just lovely!
Might go out and mix the sunflower seeds with the peppers. I kind of enjoy the squirrels, but I don't think they will put the lid back on the feeder.
L-O-L having cam problems....Peter is working in it...has it in B&W mode for the time being.
I think a child is in control of the cam at LOL. You can get dizzy watching it.
Good Morning Eagle Friends....
Lolly, enjoyed looking at your little wrens. Birds can sure be crafty in selecting nest sites!
So far, seems that humidity is way down---can actually breathe outside!

ADULT IN THE NEST
Adult in the nest!!
best wishes for all the dental patients on here !
Eating.
Thanks for the heads up about the adult in the nest. Beautiful!
Off to start my day. Back to the front bedroom to sort and hopefully throw away.
Have a great day! And, Lynn, I certainly hope yours is a better day!
Andy, congrats on your tests! Sure hope you find that spider, that would have freaked me out!
Lolly, I think that would be a flying trip to LOL
Judie - go go go don't stop!
A Boy named Sue, love it.
See if this takes you to a good ending bear story.
Bear Story
Well, that did not work. But, the dog story is interesting and if you scroll down you will see more videos and one is about a bear.
Adult back in the nest again
Wonder what Belle is thinking about?

Do you think she's waiting for Palmer to come in?

Belle is so very beautiful

Can't tell whether it is Belle making the squeaks or if Palmer is nearby........doesn't really sound like mouthy Palmer!

Nice comments, Margy.
Shirley, do you have Medicare Part B, or is your employer-sponsored plan like a medigap plan? If you have Part B, it pays 80% for an annual mammo.
I do not believe $213 is only 10% of the mammogram cost!
Yea! Baby is home...in all her noisy glory!
LOL, Shirley.......not hardly! That is almost the total cost!!
And that's IF the radiologist fee for reading it is included!!!! Mammo itself is about $125 on average.

Hi, Everyone!
Have been really busy doing housework this morning. The pest control guy(s) were supposed to come out early today, and didn't want the place to look too scary!

Had the volume turned off, so I did not hear her. Now I do. She has a lot to say.
Wonder if Belle was standing on that fish all that time waiting for Palmer.....or if she brought it in herself????
I have been running around here, so I do not know how the food arrived. Palmer is telling her parents what she thinks about things.
Judie, you will make someone very happy with your donations. Be sure to get your tax deductions!!
Judie, you are to be commended for being able to let go of some of the things you are parting with...:(

And our girl is gone... tho' not far. Think I hear cam housing thumps.
Guess Palmer finished her lunch and left...MT nest
PH - A68 finally fledged yesterday. One fledgling on the nest at present
my God did everyone get the email from Karen today????
Tried to make a reservation at the Clarion for open house, but they are already booked up for that weekend. Got one at the Comfort Inn.
Just read it, Lynne. Shocking.
OK, I see that there were lots of replies....what awful news. Momster prayers in full force!
Yes, we got the email from Karen! :(
Just saw two spotted fawns---twins---with their mama......went too fast to get a pic. So cute and very agile!
It is beautiful out today.
Oh, my, what sad news from Karen. As soon as I saw your posts, I knew that's what it was going to be. Poor girl. Prayers big-time......AMEN.
Karen is on FB.......I sent her a friend request. Just want her to feel our long arms of love reaching out to her.
She's the one that lists FSU after her name.
