Has anyone seen a second egg at BW this morning? Looks like Pop boiling water on the BWO nest. Maybe that is a sign....
I have Norfolk up for the first time this season... I think the picture looks great, and I think it looks 3D. I haven't had time to read much there, have you learned anything?

DC zoo cam 2 Mei maybe was drinking out of the little pond.
DANA, my sister called right before 7, said something was in the nest, after a few mintutes they started to fly in and around the nest and you could tell it was the eagle couple...light is not good, but, "it is what it is", man, have not used that quote in a long time.

Suzanne Yes we are all ok once again. Its been a long cold winter and between Daphne's illness and my flu bug its been a long Jan too. I didn't even go out to see the local eagles for like 3 weeks. I think things are looking up. A little eagle fix here and there ALWAYS helps.
By the way, is it my imagination, or have the baby Hummers grown so much in a couple of days that they cover the bottom of the nest???!!!
I don't know how many times their hatch size that would be.
I haven't seen ZZ in days, because every time I go there the cam is pointing to an empty spot in some other enclosure.

Jim, if ZZ was hanging out with mom, you would be able to maybe see her. Mom is in the hallway eating bamboo. ZZ may be there, but she usually is under the numbers on the left when she's in there with mom.
Dana, think Mits said they put honey on that lid.

This is great to see, eagle back in our nest. They've been there most of the night, and seemingly, most of the day so far. Can an egg be far behind? Belle usually spends a couple nights in the nest before she actually lays an egg I think. Does anybody really remember?

She stayed one night that I can recall last year, Suz. We thought that was the night. I believe was around Jan 25th
Thanks, Sharon. I could only remember that she was in the nest for at least a night before an egg appeared. But last year the cam was down, and when it came up, didn't we have 2 eggs? So are you talking about the 2006 season? Geesh, can't remember that far back, but that's what I THINK I was talking about, cause last year don't know. Won't we all be surprised if we have an egg tomorrow??? I know I sure will be!! Probably have a heart attack on the spot!

Just got back from the doctor visit and still have eagles in our nest. How cool is that? My cholesterol is down 46 points and I have a new knee! I am ready and raring to go to the Wild, Wild West. YAHOOOOO!!

I never thought a year ago that I would be so excited to see an eagle sitting in a nest. I guess when Belle finally gives us an egg to watch, I will be glued to this puter, along with the rest of you. Who'da thunk it! Good for the soul.
