GOOD MORNING WANDA AND SUZANNE. Contratulations WANDA as being our #1 on the new thread today. Thanks Steve for the new thread. It kind of looked like we all were needing it.
Thanks for the new thread, Steven. Welcome to a long work week! Thanks for the heads up, Wanda. Wanda, you may be right, Lib taking a panda nap on his perch. Too funny! Wanda, Cape Coral: 69.34.225.3 Cape Coral, FL. I have a note userid and passwd are both demo, but I have NEVER been able to get into that site.
I wonder if Liberty is waiting for Belle to bring him breakfast this morning! :) Did you see him come Wanda, or maybe he has been there during the night sometime.
I see eagle in BW and have the NSoo Panda's up on the other screen for the children., Now I have to go and copy some papers. Don't know if I'll get back, so you two have a good day and Suzanne you have a safe trip home.
Costume Lady said... BW has let us know that they have changed the refresh on their cam to 60seconds; isn't that what it was before? If it was 30sec. before wonder why they changed it?
Wanda, they switched refresh rates. The Osprey cam is now 60 seconds in stead of 30, and the eagle cam is now 30 seconds in stead of 60. They are limited to how many pics they can send out, so they changed the rates. We'll be watching the eagle cam closer bow towards nesting time;
It was a nice long visit. Nice of them to stay so long. Morning, Deb, and since you have a different userid and password, maybe the CC site will work this time. I'll try it later, must get food!
Good Morning all. Off for coffee and dog treats here. Thans Deb for info on the other link for Cape Coral I with George and Gracie.
Cape Coral 11 went down a few weeks ago now. They should have a hatch any day now also, but it sure doesn't look like we are gonna be watchng them this year. camera angle is so much better on Cam II nest but only if it works I guess.
GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDDIES!!!---HELLO WANDA--CANDY---SUZANNE---DEB & GLO!!!----What a GLORIOUS a.m.---SUN is rising here in WV---temp. 47° on this JANUARY morning!!----LIFE IS GOOD!!----ENJOY!!
I can barely see the EAGLE'S HEAD at TESORO----BUT SHE THERE!!---This a.m. I checked on the CAPE CORAL nest using the old "demo" password---A BEAUTIFUL NEST!!!!
Morning Dave I mentioned above about the warm weather might make things bloom. It is going to turn cold again though.
Wanda sometimes 1st two to three days I rested. Pain was still bad. Other times relief right away. There is never full relief of pain. Although I don't have to take meds for it.
THANKS SUZANNE!!----He doesn't look so bad!!----I have seen the warthog!!-----Surprised me!!---He is eating grass!!----His tail is certainly useful in keeping the "bugs" away!!
She said she could live with the little pain she has now, but is afraid the full-blown pain will come back. I have to call the doctor on Wed. and will ask him questions then.
If pain is coming back that soon. It might have been only a corisone shot. The one they guided into my neck lasted a year. The back didn't last long because the knee was throwing it off all the time. Even after the shot. He said if pain comes back that soon. Then something else is helping to throw back out. 2nd opinion he sent me to said it was the knee. That is when they did the knee replacement. Of course all rehab before and then after. It did take care so the shot has helped since May. It is not just a cortisone shot though.
Wanda believe me even though they numb. If they get the right nerve (place) you feel it. Pain--you are telling him what you are feeling and then it starts relieving itself. Even through it is guided by the X-ray machine. He wants to know what you are feeling.
No, this wasn't a cortisone shot. I think it was 2 different meds. combined, but didn't say what. I wasn't allowed to go in with her and ask questions but will when I talk to him. This is just breaking my heart. I don't know what to do next. I don't think there is anything left.
Morning, Dave! Enjoy the beautiful weather while you can...while we all can. Norma, thanks for the heads up about Maine. I brought it up this morning and couldn't get a pic, so closed it again. Nursing Zebra and wildbeeste on cam now.
SUZANNE---Yesterday I could see the OREGON CAM----NEST WAS SO FULL OF SNOW--YOU COULD HARDLY SEE IT!!-----I can't get it to open this a.m.---maybe later!!
Hey all! Slim pickings on Sunday. Sarah was with me so I couldn't linger and the sun was not cooperating. I did see a golden eagle but it was hidden in the trees and the sun was behind it so all I got was a bad silhouette.
Yes Dana, the red wing black birds were all over the place, only to be out done by the swarms of snow geese. When they take off it sounds like a jet engine.
'ATLANTA BEAUTY' is asleep on the upper level of the structure!!---LUN LUN is up there with her!!---But is doing nothing but rubbing her back against the wood!!----MUST HAVE AN ITCH!!----
Bob, I was out Sunday also and had the same trouble, first too bright, then behind the clouds. With the snow, the water and the sun, I couldn't seem to get the right mix.
BOB, hope you are still on here. I have been wondering about the photos you showed us a while back of OBX sunsets. Were they color enhanced in someway or was that a true color. Coloring was just beautiful.
Good Morning to Norma, Dana, Dave, Bob and Anne. I had a headache, so went back to bed for awhile and am now feeling better. Cloudy and 28 here today. Snowing again by Wednesday, but this break has been great.
Good Morning Paula, Oh, I must be seeing things again. Thought I saw ZZ curled up in a box, filthy dirty, but no one else saw her; so what does that tell you?
MORNIN' BOB!!---Don't be so DARN hard on yourself!!---I love your photos!!-----Hard to believe those were all red-winged blackbirds!!!----I think they are such beautiful creatures!!-----Did you see the photograph that DEB posted a couple of days ago on the blog?---She is wondering if it is a GOLDEN EAGLE??----Have you seen it??---Wish you would give your opinion??--
We have very dry winters here and that is what does it. In the summer it is very humid, then comes winter and it goes just the opposite. I got out the humidifier, so that should help. If I catch them when they first start, no problem, like today.
I haven't posted yesterday's yet. I am just working on them. It was fun to watch 2 young eagles eating a big fish, I think it was a carp that a fisherman threw away. Too big to pick-up.
DEB---I'm not bragging---It is a SUNNY 52° here this a.m. & going up!!!---I think this is the last day we get this!!---I'll take what I can get!!---too AWESOME for January weather!!! ho!---Sorry you are having those headaches---That's a real BUMMER!!
MORNIN' ANNE!!---I must have missed you this a.m.----WHOA!---Haven't heard about your weekend---Read about the "glass house" & that you would fill us in after you returned from a party???---If you have tell me when & I'll look it up!!!----CHECK BOB'S new photographs!!!---COOL!
Wow, morning Bob, and Anne, and Paula! Bob, your pictures are awesome! Loved the RRBB!!! I get excited if I see one in my yard, you saw a gazillion. How cool. I'll bet those geese are loud when they take off as a group, they're big birds. Neat. Ok, Glo, I'll go sign up again. Last I remember you weren't sending them out frequently, so I never worried about it. Alright, I've been upstairs, so have to go back and actually read what I missed, not glance.
If you go to my blog, it is in the Jan 2 & 3 show. It is still not confirmed that it is a golden eagle. I have 2 experts reports so far, one says bald eagle and the other says golden eagle.
Got it Paula, thanks! Wow Deb, great shot. I've never seen an immature bald eagle that looked like that. The coloring is usually not that consistent or that light. Immature golden eagles have a white stripe across their tail feathers and a white patch on their wings. If I was forced to guess I'd say immature bald eagle but it really would be a guess.
I'll post just a picture of the eagle in question. I'll let you know when I am done. It will take a while as I have moved the pictures to an external hard drive. In the picture show it is towards the end. Camera is looking up into a tree.
Good morning all & I do mean "ALL"! Everyone is here it seems! Well, Jim will be getting up shortly! Helen won't return until Thurs am(late Wed pm) Slim Pickin's doesn't mean a thing to us, Bob. Your slim pickin's are always good pickin's. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Getting ready to go to Exercise! WOO HOO - 1-2-3-4.... Maybe I'll get it up to 5 today! Minutes I mean. lol
OK Suzanne I will send you a link to some flickr pictures similar to what is on the feed. I am sending it to your yahoo address so check for it in a little bit.
Glo, I have been getting your Feedblitz email about once a week, so you know they are coming through. Enjoy you photos and articles; please don't stop!
Thanks Wanda Sometimes I do wonder how many are still getting it but yes I do plan to keep them coming through this eagle season for sure. Glad you are seeign and enjoying. Wish Suzanne could get the flash player but I have sent her a link to many of the photos on there this last time. I think that will work for her.
SUZANNE----I have noticed more large fish since they apparently worked on something!!----They were there during the weekend!!---This a.m.--I think it was the old gang!!----Came up real CLOSE & WAIVED---Like they used to do!!
Oh, before I forget, I put some pics from this morning's visit in the album for this week. I made a tpo on one, said Lib wings out ready for takeoff, and that is Belle with her wings out.
Suzanne The bug...well yes I am feelign etter. Slept etter last night which always helps and the sinus headache is gone at the moment. It is almost 60 degrees here and I so want to go eagle viewing but healthwise I am kind of afraid to get out there in the wind even though its a warm one today. Just not sure I am all that better LOL... So I am sitting home. Have osme bad weather comign in this afternoon and tonight and then back to cold and snow. :(
GLO, got the pics!!! They are AWESOME!!!! I can't imagine seeing that many eagles all in one place, they are just beautiful!! Thanks, and ((((HUGS)))) to you, Glo!
I sent a note to the falconer who ran the outdoor raptor exhibit at the NCTC Open House to see if she could identify Deb's bird. I let you know if I hear back.
Time for me to hit the road. Guess I won't have to have my heat on in the car on the way home, for once! Beautiful out. Eagle standing in Tesoro, moving eggs? Watching a hatchling? All have a great eagle/panda day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh Glo, I'm glad you're feeling better, but don't push it. These bugs are hanging on this year. Glad you're gonna be home where you can be comfortable. Ok, outta here now. Blog at ya'll tomorrow.
Paula, didn't see your "never mind" in time. I posted 3 pictures on my page of the eagle in question. Suzanne, I think these are ones you can see. I am looking at some other way to post them instead of Photoshow, but haven't picked one yet.
Good morning, Jim. I was just checking out the hummingbird site and it looks like there will be a "new" nest, as Joe puts it. He thinks he will move the cam this weekend.
Hi, Deb, Yeah, he says she is rebuilding a nest from last year, but really the one from this season looks nearly back to ready condition...
Maybe she wants to keep her options open and is readying more than one. Then she'll pick the one she thinks is in the more secure position when the time comes.
I don't know when this Channel Island variety of Allen's nests.
The Black-chins that visit my feeder usually nest only once a year ... early Spring. I think they start their clutches about a week before Spring arrives. That way they get the max in fresh flower nectars and the max in gnats swarming around them in order to feed the young.
THANKS BOB...Alaska seems the place to go for viewing and photgraphing eagles. The silhouette of the eagle flying at sunset is beautiful. Is this person a friend of yours?
Gone from BWE. Thanks Bob and Lisa. I think that it is a young bald eagle, with the sun making it extra beautiful. I still haven't heard back from the NWR here in SD. Maybe they are all busy elsewhere.

The 2 BEAUTIFUL EAGLES are still at BWO----They look like "bookends"!

Dave
We are so excited about our temps. here...going up to near 70° tomorrow. Almost could plant spinach. (my Mom plants her's in March)
Morning Dave I mentioned above about the warm weather might make things bloom. It is going to turn cold again though.
Wanda sometimes 1st two to three days I rested. Pain was still bad. Other times relief right away. There is never full relief of pain. Although I don't have to take meds for it.
When did she get the shot?
THANKS SUZANNE!!----He doesn't look so bad!!----I have seen the warthog!!-----Surprised me!!---He is eating grass!!----His tail is certainly useful in keeping the "bugs" away!!
She got her treatment on Jan. 3. She felt real good on Fri and Sat. but some pain came back Sunday.
She said she could live with the little pain she has now, but is afraid the full-blown pain will come back. I have to call the doctor on Wed. and will ask him questions then.
GOOD MORNIN' INDIANA DAVE!!---GREAT WEATHER here in WV too!!--Now the sun is shining like a spring a.m.----ENJOY!!
WHOA!!---I bet HELEN is back from ARIZONA & she has brought this SUNSHINE!!!-----She is like a breath of SUNSHINE!!---ho!---
If pain is coming back that soon.
Did you all see the picture in the Eagles Forum? Paula took it and it shows the chicks head at CC I.
Our big boy Tai is laying flat on his back eating bamboo. There was a group there watching him, but think they left.
Gao Gao is on SD.
And as soon as I hit publish, off he went. Tai has moved over by his grate, leaning back on a rock eating now.
Eagle up at Tesoro!
Oh, feeding babies??????
Waiting to see it she starts calling and he comes in or if it is just an egg turning at Teroso.
Well back down. Couldn't tell if s/he was feeding a baby or not.
The date on CC is correct, but the time is way off.
If you watch CC I closely you can see a whitish movement. hee hee I love it!!
SUZANNE---Yesterday I could see the OREGON CAM----NEST WAS SO FULL OF SNOW--YOU COULD HARDLY SEE IT!!-----I can't get it to open this a.m.---maybe later!!

Good Morning everyone. Its HI! and By as its time to go to work but I will be lurking . Hugs. I'll read when I get to work..
Bob, have you ever listened to the song of the Red-Winged Blackbird?
Wanda - I don't see any time or date on CC???
Morning, all!
Sorry you have a headache Deb, could it be from spending too much time in the cold air? That use to trigger my headaches.
Good Morning Paula,
Oh, I must be seeing things again. Thought I saw ZZ curled up in a box, filthy dirty, but no one else saw her; so what does that tell you?
Moose cam is up, I wonder if Scarface lost his other antler?
Nice pics, Bob. I like the first one with the eagles and the herons.
Hmmm...wonder where George or Gracie is.
Wanda - Those OBX sunsets were straight out of the camera, no adjustments.
I'll have to go back and find Deb's picture.
MORNIN' PAULA!!----I find it hard to choose a favorite in BOB'S photograph!!---They are all good!!!
bbl
I haven't posted yesterday's yet. I am just working on them. It was fun to watch 2 young eagles eating a big fish, I think it was a carp that a fisherman threw away. Too big to pick-up.
DEB---I'm not bragging---It is a SUNNY 52° here this a.m. & going up!!!---I think this is the last day we get this!!---I'll take what I can get!!---too AWESOME for January weather!!! ho!---Sorry you are having those headaches---That's a real BUMMER!!
Hmmm Suzanne not sure why you aren't getting them/ OK Latest FTLOE BLOG update is here For The Love of Eagles Feed>

Oh, loved the Golden Eagle too!
Now that both CC cameras are working again, which one is which, when we talk about them? I don't want to be confused when the action is going on.
Kewl - I didn't know CC2 was back up.
Deb - Cape Coral 1 is George II and Gracie.
Cape Coral 2 is the unnamed pair.
OK, I give up. Deb - Where do I find youor golden eagle. Is there another blog I need to sign up for?
Oh, I see Wanda was talking about the Date and Time on CC2 - Date is OK but time has always been off!
Bob, I'll forward you the email with the picture.
If you go to my blog, it is in the Jan 2 & 3 show. It is still not confirmed that it is a golden eagle. I have 2 experts reports so far, one says bald eagle and the other says golden eagle.
Deb - Is it the eagle with the fish?
On the pole
Got it Paula, thanks! Wow Deb, great shot. I've never seen an immature bald eagle that looked like that. The coloring is usually not that consistent or that light. Immature golden eagles have a white stripe across their tail feathers and a white patch on their wings. If I was forced to guess I'd say immature bald eagle but it really would be a guess.
Nevermind - I found the other photos of it.
I'll post just a picture of the eagle in question. I'll let you know when I am done. It will take a while as I have moved the pictures to an external hard drive. In the picture show it is towards the end. Camera is looking up into a tree.
DEB!!---Thanks for guiding BOB to your "UNKNOWN" EAGLE!!----I still think it's a GOLDEN EAGLE!!---BOB will know!!----

Glo, I have been getting your Feedblitz email about once a week, so you know they are coming through. Enjoy you photos and articles; please don't stop!
Wow, big ol' fish in front of the cam. Almost scary!
Ok, Glo, I'll check in a sec.
Glad to hear you're feeling better, Jo!
Glo, are you doing alright now too? I know you had the bug a while back.

GAO GAO eating bamboo at SD!
I sent a note to the falconer who ran the outdoor raptor exhibit at the NCTC Open House to see if she could identify Deb's bird. I let you know if I hear back.
ATLANTA says that 'ATLANTA BEAUTY' & LUN LUN both are eating "RIVERCANE"---grown in GA----ho!!---HARD TO BELIEVE!!!
SUZANNE---SAFE JOURNEY HOME TODAY & LOTS OF LOVE PATS TO "G" & HER FURRY FRIENDS!!!!!
Oh Glo, I'm glad you're feeling better, but don't push it. These bugs are hanging on this year. Glad you're gonna be home where you can be comfortable.
Ok, outta here now. Blog at ya'll tomorrow.
Can anyone see the eagle at CC2??
Paula, didn't see your "never mind" in time. I posted 3 pictures on my page of the eagle in question. Suzanne, I think these are ones you can see. I am looking at some other way to post them instead of Photoshow, but haven't picked one yet.
THANKS BOB!!---That's a good idea!!----I so enjoyed her show in October!!---
Paula, I think I see movement on the right hand side of the nest.
Look now!!! Both eagles at CC2.
Darn, they were so fast.
Eagle at BWE!
AHA - I can finally see an eagle head on the right side of the CC2 nest.
Gone.
Nice sunny day at the Moosecam...
Feeding at CC1
I tried to take a picture when both of them were there, but I couldn't get it to work. Is there a trick when it is a live feed.
Deb - did they switch at CC2 or was it just a parent check in?
The FISHING CAT at NZOO is pacing!!---She/He does this every day about this time!!----Bet he is wanting some FISH in his water!!!
It was so fast and I was trying to take a picture, but I think they switched.
ORGEON NEST is nothing but SNOW!!-----PINE could have a couple on inches on it alone!!!
STANDING TALL in TESORO NEST!!-----
Do you suppose?????---Their date is 1/9/08!!!
&^$%@$ Blogger!!
Deb - you need a special program to capture pics from a live feed, although I do see they have CC1 set up to capture pics but not CC2.
Thanks, no wonder I can't get it to work. I was trying again so I would be ready the next time.
1 EAGLE JUST FLEW IN!!!---TESORO!
Turkey vulture at BWO.
EEwwiiiee at BWE
GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE...
Looks like ZZ has found her favorite spot in her favorite tree and fallen asleep.
JIM
Good morning, Jim. I was just checking out the hummingbird site and it looks like there will be a "new" nest, as Joe puts it. He thinks he will move the cam this weekend.
Hi, Deb,
Yeah, he says she is rebuilding a nest from last year, but really the one from this season looks nearly back to ready condition...
Maybe she wants to keep her options open and is readying more than one. Then she'll pick the one she thinks is in the more secure position when the time comes.
Jim
I guess we will just have to wait and see which nest she decides to use. It sounds like she should be laying eggs again soon.
Jim
I don't know either. Joe just said she hasn't laid her eggs yet, so I assumed she would be doing so. Well, I'd best get to my work. BBL.
This was Lisa's response on Deb's eagle:
"That's kind of weird looking. Almost looks like an extra light eagle."
I have returned from exercise & after eating my chicken noodle soup boy do I ever need a panda nap
BBL
I stumbled on another eagle gallery. I think I've seen this one before but not sure if I passed it on:
Eagle Gallery
THANKS BOB...Alaska seems the place to go for viewing and photgraphing eagles. The silhouette of the eagle flying at sunset is beautiful. Is this person a friend of yours?
Don't know him. My wife, Sarah, found it looking for examples that might be similar to Deb's mystery eagle.
EAGLE ALERT, OUR NEST!
BOTH OF THEM, AS A MATTER OF FACT!
Eagle at BWE also.
Gone from BWE. Thanks Bob and Lisa. I think that it is a young bald eagle, with the sun making it extra beautiful. I still haven't heard back from the NWR here in SD. Maybe they are all busy elsewhere.
Moved from BWE to BWO!
They just seem to be scoping out the scene!
Hey everyone. I was just getting ready to go home and noticed our Royal Couple in the nest. They don't seem to be in any hurray at this time, do they?
No, they are just chillin'!
BW eagle nest has an eagle back in it.
Aren't they just so beautiful? I am having a hard time waiting for the eggs to be layed,
Looks like Belle has a wild 'do' everyone once in awhile from that breeze!
Is anyone taking pics for album?
Hey Paula. I guess you must be taking pics. Didn't know you were on here. I need to go home, but I don't want to miss them in the nest.
Man, it is 72° here today...didn't know it was supposed to get that warm...no wonder they are just hanging out!
Just got back in office from errands...
It was a beautiful day out wasn't it? I was on the playground with just a light sweater. This is the kind of weather I could take all year long.
You should have taken your time and stayed out a little longer, but then you would have missed our beauties.
LOL, I did, Candy!
Oh well, I have to go home. Keep them there till I can get on the cam at home. TTY
They really are posing nice this afternoon :)
