Oh, Helen, I havn't seen that. I have been missing them a lot. I need to go for coffee more often or maybe I need to watch mor often. Of course, we know what their intentions are, don't we? It is fun watching them prepare, but the best is yet to come!
Well, that was a quick visit, maybe they'll be back. Boy, it is COLD outside, and the wind has not stopped gusting. 23° here, feels much colder.

Right now there is a red bellied woodpecker snacking on an apple core outside my window. Remember, this time of year, put out your banana peels, or overripe bananas, apples, and oranges for the birds. Many birds will feed on these, especially mockingbirds.

No idea what's going on, have our cam and Bai and Precious up, that's about it. See Bai has Precious on her shelf, where Bai used to sleep when she was very preggers. Precious was sleeping and she just looks so big! Bai came in and hugged her, now Bai thinks she wants to sleep. Yeah, that's gonna happen now that she woke the baby!
Will have to glance back and see what I missed. All have a great eagle/panda day.

Precious has climbed ontop of Bai and is biting her head and face. She's also rubbing against mom, how cute! Guess she wants to play, and mom wants to sleep. Bai has her blocked, so she can't get down without climbing over Bai.

Right after the National Anthem was sang at the Fiesta Bowl (where WVU is playing), they had a beautiful BALD EAGLE fly through the stadium. That was absolutely breathtaking!
I just looged on to see if anyone saw the eagle at the game. Wasn't that awesome?

Matter of fact I am, Suz. I didn't know you would be in so early though, or I would have been watching the blog closer.
I crashed early last night, got up to do my duties near midnight, been doing some fun stuff on the computer since, and now I'm thinking about racking out again.
It IS COLD in your area, but I checked my uncle's place in Iowa a couple of nights ago ... with wind chill it was like -15 deg. They're all too cold for what we dress for and what we're used to out here.

Yes, it's cold, but we are usually prepared for it. Jan and Feb are the worst months of the year out here. Snow, sleet, and cold. But not as cold as your uncle's place! Thankfully!!

Jim, believe it or not for the last 2 weeks, haven't seen very many deer at all! Totally unusual! Either hunting season was very successful this year, or the deer don't know hunting season is over are still laying low. Same for coons, skunks and foxes. Not too many wildlife lately. Do have big birds that sorta fly right in front of me, scares me to death cause I'm watching the road! And poof, surprise. But then they're gone, and after about 15 miles or so, I'm calm again!
PA cam is messing up again. One minute has the right time, next sec it is old time. Least on the old time the deer is still there.
Your deer have probably just moved their operations away from the roadway, which doesn't have as much growth as some protected fields ... or the feed that a hay field might offer.
I'm sure the hunting wasn't quite that successful (or disastrous). The idea of a hunting season is to thin out the herds and make them more healthy and able to find food. And of course there are people who still need the meat from hunting to feed their families ... at least partially.
I've read somewhere that there are actually more deer in America now than there were when white man first arrived.
Well, Suz, I think I'll call it a night now... Have a good one.

We watched the WVU football game last night and didn't get to sleep til around 1am....slept in this morning.
