Hi Sunny:).Thank you Steven...what's up with the cam?

MITS said...

Good Morning everyone. Hope your day is fun and you get to see the eagles wherever you go. I kind of think maybe there is a thought that since there are no young in our nest to watch that the cam isn't all that important anymore.

Well Lib and Belle, we love to see you whenever we can, so know that we ae definitley looking for you. Please continue to stop by for us regularly. Boy do we have a picture album full of gorgeous pictures of you.

Very colorful eagle at our nest. Too many pretty lines to tell which one tho.

movin said...

Looks like they're both there now...

What's with the camera ... on again, off again??

Jim

Jill said...

I have only seen one. Not so colorful now. Still looks like it is in the same place.

Jill said...

Clearer pic now. Definitely just one.

MITS said...

Sometimes it is refreshing and sometimes just looping..

movin said...

Maybe it was a double image with all the extra lines?? Only see one again now.

Is Suzanne on vacation or something? I'm used to seeing her comments early in the morning and I miss them.

I spy a fuzzy, colorful eagle!!

Jill said...

I saw something that looked like a head but I think it was the tree limb. I don't think Suzanne has been on today or yesterday. Maybe the Maine eagle pic scared her away. LOL

MITS said...

Suzanne was on earlier...havin puter issues at work, the card she picked up last week is not working.

movin said...

Kent is feeding the chicks something I DON'T EVEN recognize.

What a late Good Monday Morning - I almost missed it! No brunch today for me. My cam is ok right now except for the MT nest.No sooner said then LINES appear all over it.
Three things to mention
1) Kent emailed me a contact for the Puget Sound cam-I will get on it right away as it is still frozen since 5/4
2) Sending email out through Momsters about the upcoming Nest Visit scheduled for Monday the 14th so that anyone who can will attend. Plans are now finalized &
Steve will try his best to meet with us!
3) Another email coming out concerning GEORGE of Kent fame. Loraine is 99% certain that it wasn't OUR George we saw dead in the nest! Whoo Hoo!
I will be Out of the Area with only a dial up pc from Tues thru Fri of this week.
KEEP THE SPIRIT FLYING!

Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
The literature of bird watching is full of memoirs set in out-of-the-way, rural locales, but few are set in the heart of big cities such as New York, where Wall Street Journal ornithology columnist Marie Winn hangs her hat. In this delightful account, Winn tells of birding in Central Park with an unlikely band of fellow enthusiasts (including Mary Tyler Moore and Woody Allen). Among her objects of study were a pair of increasingly uncommon wood thrushes who set up their nest in the park's Ramble, treating city dwellers to their "penetrating, flutelike, heart-stoppingly beautiful song: Ee-oh-lee, ee-oh-loo-ee-lee, ee-lay-loo," and a pair of red-tail hawks who courted, mated, and produced offspring, thus quickening the spirits of Manhattanites. Both urbanites and those inclined to country matters will enjoy Winn's gracefully written story of observation and discovery.

Product Description
Updated Edition—Ten Years Later

The scene of this enchanting (and true) story is the Ramble, an unknown wilderness deep in the heart of New York's fabled Central Park. There an odd and amiable band of nature lovers devote themselves to observing and protecting the park's rich wildlife. When a pair of red-tailed hawks builds a nest atop a Fifth Avenue apartment house across the street from the model-boat pond, Marie Winn and her fellow "Regulars" are soon transformed into obsessed hawkwatchers. The hilarious and occasionally heartbreaking saga of Pale Male and his mate as they struggle to raise a family in their unprecedented nest site, and the affectionate portrait of the humans who fall under their spell will delight and inspire readers for years to come.

Just checked BW osprey nest. Both parents looking down into the nest cup but I don't see an egg. I know when it was first laid it was visible, did they move it or did something happen

Costume Lady said...

Thank you Floralgirl. I have been out in the sun too long!

paula eagleholic said...

Might be the sunlight on the nest - it was there earlier. Sometimes they are hard to see. She is still on the nest incubating - Hey, maybe they were looking at egg #2!
