Wow! What a beautiful pic Steve. It is like looking at a piece of heaven. With country and pics like you have, it must have been kind of hard to come home. So peaceful.
Beautiful pic Steve, Maine is one of my favorte states.
I was outside a few minutes ago and have yet to hear my screechers which I normally hear at night. I am wondering since they depleted almost 10 acres of woods bordering my property, did the owls lose their homes :(?
What birds sing in the late evening as I can hear them when I go to sleep to night, they sound really nice too.
Good morning, eagle world. Beautiful night out, bright almost full moon again tonight. Didn't see many stars, but you can almost read with the moon light! 62° at my house, 67° here, but chillier than yesterday. Well, it was when I fed the outdoor cats this morning, not chilly now. Steven, love your pics! The food looked good...made me hungry! At this hour! That's obscene!! And loved the sunrise. No Candy, sunrise here sure doesn't look like that. It's pretty though, usually very pink or red, but that doesn't last long! May try to go back and read blogs, and there are a couple links I want to check out. Don't have cams open yet, so no idea who is where. Did open BW and ours real quick...closed them all again. Ours has those black lines across the screen, and those leaves are taking over. BW eagle nest was MT, and osprey nest is still down. So guess the sun didn't charge the ol' battery yesterday, so it will probably remain down until they replace the battery sometime today. Ok, all have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Food Wednesday morning Suzanne. I just remembered that our guest from Poland stayed the night elsewhere, so in I rushed to see if I could see an eagle in our nest.
Well hate to say it, but the kids are due any time, and our cam is kaput! The psycho and black lines have taken over, and you can't really see the nest at all. Unless cam clears, we're gonna miss the early AM visit of our beautiful eagle couple!
BW chicks were in the nest, I thought sleeping and before I knew it, they were both gone. Our cam is still a mess. Mayge as it gets lighter out, it will get better. SURE IT WILL.
Too funny. Bw eaglet calmed down a bit, but now parent is looking too interested, and getting too close. Chick is gonna mantle again! Ok, parent turned back, chick stopped mantling. Also, saw 3 baby storks a few minutes ago! I only saw 2 all day yesterday, and wasn't gonna say anything, but all 3 are sitting up watching parent. They are so cute! Our cam is just a bunch of psychadelic lines and spots.
Morning, Candy! I'm sorry, didn't even see you. No, please help on the commentary!! Can't see a thing in our nest, though. Isn't that BW eaglet possessive? Too funny.
What a neat time to be up and watching Suzanne. You can see all the nests come alive for the day; that is except for ours. Sure hope that they do something with that cam next year.
It looks like all three chicks at Norfolk; two are sitting together on a branch just above the nest, and the other is still all by itself on another branch.
Thanks for taking over, Candy! Yeah, it is a neat time to watch the nests wake up and get their daily routine started. BW eaglet finished whatever he was eating, just left. Our cam is a mess. Falcons are on the end of the ledge. Owl cam was down for a while, but back up now. Still have 4, one stretching their wings. Love to watch the storks too, Candy, they are beautiful birds!
Oh, PA falcons are wandering along the ledge, but 2 are now up by the nest box. Look at how their colors have changed! They're getting brown! They're so pretty. Oh now one is looking in the window. Too funny!
Good morning again Suzanne and all others that will soon sign on. Made it to school in no time flat. Still see there is no one in our nest. We must have missed them this morning. The Pa. falcons are a cut bunch, aren't they? I just now saw them for the first time.
My class is going to the NC Aquarium for the day in Manteo; just a short ride from our school. All the kids have made fish print shirts, but not me. I have on my eagle shirt. While I am there, I am going to look and see if they have an osprey cam on, and ask why it is not connected to the big time. I know they used to have one at the aquarium.
I am hoping that Steve has a few more beautiful pics to show us today. Those yesterday were just heavenly. Would just love to be doing that for the rest of my life.
Well, guess I had better get off for now. I still have to get things set for our field trip. Our nest is still MT and from the looks of the blog, Suzanne, you didn't see those rascals either. :( Maybe tomorrow. You all have a good day and I'll read all you had to say later. BBL Candy
Hi again, Candy. Nope didn't see them this morning at all. Hopefully they'll show up for the afternoon/evening crowd! BW eagle has been MT too, after the one chick came in and ate and mantled to his/her parent! Glad you found the falcons, they're really nest to watch, and they turn into such beautiful birds! Course they start out as such cute little fuzzies, how could they not? Getting almost dawn in Kent. Love to watch that nest this year since ours is MT most of the time with no babies! Cam is not so bad now, though. Hey, have a ball with the kids today!
Getting daylight in Kent. Chicks sleeping and parent in tree keeping guard. PA falcons have explored themselves out and are napping on the ledge. Our nest and BW eagle MT. Osprey cam has not been fixed, so don't have it up. WA osprey was up off the nest, and it looked like there may be a chick or two, but it's still kinda dark there and very hard to tell! Thought food had arrived in barnowl nest, they were all looking at something, but now they're just standing there. Stork is up off the babies, and all 3 are awake. Too cute.

Darn!

Right now I am watching the storks in Germany and the Barn Owls in California. They sure are the noisy ones, but everything is calm there.
Can't seem to get the Norfolk cam to work. Do they usually shut that off at night?
The Norfolk cam is on now, but it is too dark to see much yet. BW still empty. Must be the early birds that catch the "fish"! :)
Eagle waking up at Norfold. It had to move to see it. It is sitting on a branch outside of the nest, trying out it's wings.
Nothing in our nest that I can see. BW eaglet and parent just arrived, and eaglet is doing some serious manteling!
BW bird and parent back in the nest. I don't see any fish tho.
Boy does are my typing skills bad this early in the morning. I guess I had better leave the running commentary to you Suzanne. :)

One was just in the Norfolk nest stretching and the sibling is flapping hard on the branch.
BW parent left, eaglet mantling...just in case someone else has ideas of stealing whatever he's eating!
Candy, BRB.

Yea, our nest is in full view for the moment, but no birds.
I just love the storks too, Suzanne. I have never seen anything like it up close. They are just beautiful.
We still have an MT nest. :(
Guess I'll have to read your running commentary on our eagle nest tonight Suzanne. It is 6 oclock and I have to start getting ready for school. BBL

PA falcons are all lined up in a row against the building. They are so cute.
