STEVE, Looks like a beautiful vacation spot. What else is cooking besides Beans and Franks?

I just watched Glo's video that she mentioned on the previous thread!
I'll try to bring it over for you who have not seen it!

Jo--I watched the Swallow today as she laid the third egg. Wow! These cams are wonderful. Never thought I'd ever see something like that.

Hi Wanda - I have been trying to keep an eye on the number of eggs - There could be lots more to come. She has such a pretty face.. I have placed most of the photos over on the Deltaview Gallery.

Thanks for the glimpse of the beauties of living when America was wilderness, Steve...got any more pics???

Took a look at Glo's video, and I would say that the flight was long enough and purposeful enough to qualify the first eaglet as fledged, even if she was heading for another branch in that large tree.

Good evening Jo, Wandaand Mits. You are talking about swallows. Where did you find them?

And Mits, my children are in Kindergarten; don't think we could bring them all the way to Washington DC. What I couldn't get over is when the parents bring them in the morning and see the neat things like the pandas that I have on the screen, they act as if they would never have thought to find something like that for them to look at; just let them get on and play games. :(

Real nice pics Steve. It must have been a very relaxing trip for you; away from all the business of the city. Lucky you.

Jo, where is the eaglet flying from? What nest? Or don't we know.

Just popping in to say good evening to all

Jim thankls fo the Video of Va, I almost want to cry, as they are the first eagle family I watched this season and to know soon they will be on their own. Makes me want to hold my daughter closer, since she said she wants to go to college so she can make a lot of money to build her own home someday, even design it.

I am trying to catch up on blogs but need to run to my sis in laws and retrieve my poison ivy gel otherwise it is off to the dr's for something stonger (ick).

Hope all are enjoying ths lovely evening

Thanks for all the info Paula and Jo. I have just been watching the storks and the barn owls. Boy are those owls getting noisy and frisky.
