Good Morning all. Thanks Steve. Love the changes you have made. One of the greatest things about the new blogger is the ease by which you can customize the blogs to fit your style. I loved it immediatley when I found it!
Steven, we have recently discovered how to place 'clickable links' into blogs, and now someone has suggested learning how to insert pictures into blogs.
Do you know how to do that, or if it is possible??
Thanks for the new thread, Steve. Neat new look. Thanks for telling me, Jim. I'm just a'blabbing on the old thread... Some of us live in our own world when we get excited, and I was seeing the Kent chick again. There was a switch, Star is now on the baby and egg. Spirit was in the tree, but he took off. He's like a mother hen, supervising Mom.
Haven't tried it, Jim. Sometimes I can get it, other times I can't. Jim, tried it, I can get into the IWS site, but not sure it's where you want to be. I'm sorta on a home page. Yes, I can get in to see all 3 nests.
The site itself is hard for me to access, and when I do, the whole page is 'scrunched up', so that the pictures of the cams are incomplete...the S.Cruz Media Player site appears on top, so that's OK.
??? I e-mailed the webmaster this morning..let's see.
Thanks for the idea, Jim. Haven't tried IWS for a while. 82 is feeding chicks at Two Harbors. They sure have grown! And all 3 chicks are sound asleep at WE. No parents home at WE. Man, isn't that little chick a cutie at Kent? Love seeing him. Happy Birthday (yesterday) little guy.
I am off to check emails & the cams. I did get the IWS site up & just was able to view ALL 3 locations. Those guys are getting bigger. Anyone get VA or NE up today?
Mits On Cam 2 - is that TAI in the water or one of the older pandas?
The cam is currently unavailable. Lightning struck the antenna that receives the signal from the nest during a thunder storm late last week. We are in the process of replacing it and hope to have service up soon.
Someone forgot to tell us that maintaining a webcam 90 feet up in a pine tree wouldn't be easy.
Love the new look. thanks for new thread Steve. Hello all: Jill, glo, suzanne, costume lady, mema, mits, Jim,robynann, and sunny. Sure hope you all have a wonderful day. it is going to be 89 here today accordisng to forecast. Suits me to a t. love donna
Time for me to hit the road. Have to take my old kitty to the vet this afternoon. He's having a hard time going potty, and want him looked at ASAP! All have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Well I think I am out of Mail Jail now. Thanks Glo for the VA update..I, like most of us here, are concerned that we will miss a fledging. Wish they would have given update on those 3 big guys in that nest-I bet that lightning bolt created some poop shoots!
Well because I am off to work in a little while and because I want to practice Jims instructions for the short links here: I have already posted the FeedBlitz for Tonight
It contains the hatching fo Kent baby Nuber two and some other fun links.
GOOD AFTERNOON EAGLE BUDDIES!----I have been having computer problems-----Started answering email this a.m.---couldn't finish----I read most everything this a.m.---couldn't post---Read about KENT'S new chick---Another EAGLET! LIFE IS GOOD! Haven't gotten to see it yet---
MITS---You are right---Those VA EAGLETS are GROWING & GROWING---The VA FALCONS---are ADORABLE--BUT their BOX is very--very MESSY!!--ho!--ho!---EAGLETS have better manners!!!
I am sitting at my desk and looking toward San Francisco. The clouds are rolling in. We pray for rain here but I really didnt want it while Paula is here. Darn, not good timing. It will be a misty visit for her.I am about an hour away. We wont get it until tomorrow. Mom at Kent is really keeping the little ones covered. Once in a while I can see a tiny head.
I THINK "The Little Prince" is asleep inside----He has grown so much---It's hard to distinguish between the PANDAS when they are sitting or sleeping---TAI has grow so much too!!!
HI HEIDIGIRL!---I keep checking on the KENT EAGLES---I haven't gotten even a glimpse----I must not be watching at the right time!--- ho!I bet PAULA is really enjoying herself----WOW---That's a dream vacation----
My dream is to see Williamsberg. I have been all over the world but I have still not seen DC and area. In the last couple of years I have seen the south but it took me all these years to get there. Alaska is next.
NY RED-TAIL HAWK has a beautiful nest & MOM HAWK is feeding the "little hawk"----I guess you refer to them as chicks too!!---What ever you call him/her---He/she is ADORABLE!!
HEIDIGIRL---I would LOVE to go to ALASKA---When are you going?---I can't imagine seeing all those EAGLES---ho!---Would probably think I had died & gone to 'EAGLE HEAVEN'---
Norma I asked every year I was married and it was always "next year" Well next year didnt come, he died. So I am going by myself. I got a sexy red dress and I am going to dance on tables..!Some girlfriends from work decided they wanted to go too so at least I will know someone. I am stoping at Sitka to the eagle reabilation center. I will take pictures. Next year I am going to east Mexico to see the ruins there. I'm not waiting any more.. The cruise ship leaves San Francisco Sept 8th and returns 18th.
HEIDIGIRL---This might be a good year to check out WILLAMSBURG---JAMESTOWN, which is near by---is celebrating their 400th year!---Get a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC---this month has probably more than you might want to know---When my kids were small we always went to VA Beach each summer---We usually stopped at both places!----WILLIAMSBURG is a beautiful colonial town----Many things to see---
Its a deal. It probably wont be too soon. I'm saving my time off for Alaska. I have to work to do the fun stuff and cant do the fun stuff because I have to work! I need to either marry a rich man or win the lotto.
I have returned - feeling great for some reason after exercising!! Glo Now how cool is that? Roadkill video was hilarious-almost destroyed the nest getting it! Bloomington Refuge is truly a Love Story! MITS Great news from Loraine about the 2nd Kent! Thanks for the heads up on VA cam. Hi Norma & Anne
Sunny, I'm not sure I have the guts to wear it. Its cut waaaaay down. My girlfriends laugh at me but we will see. I need a glass of wine just to try it on.
HI MITS---Can you imagine seeing all those EAGLES!!!!---WE COULD GO TOGETHER---OR MAYBE WE COULD GET ALL THE EAGLE MOMSTERS TO GO!!!---
HEIDIGIRL!!!---You will WOW them all in that "SEXY RED" dress!!!---As I always say---HEIDIGIRL---You have got "SPUNK"---- ho!---I admire you for going!!!--ENJOY!!
Norma its a date.. You could still get tickets on my ship.Or I could go again. I'm willing. Norma, I think every wife on board would want to push me overboard. I keep thinking maybe an extra layer of lace would help. I got a lift last year which doesnt help the modesty issue.
I figure, I have out lived both of my parents and all four grand parents in age so if I dont do it now I may be sorry. I dont dye my hair any more but if it needs lifting or reorganizing I do it. If I want to go somewhere I'm going. I cant do it any younger. I just looked at the air lines for tickets and I get a discount now. Isnt that neat?
HEIDIGIRL---How do you get a discount on tickets?----I have never traveled alone----I think I will-- but I don't---my thoughts are very similar to yours----BUT I DON'T HAVE "SPUNK"---ho!
No face lift. I didnt need that but after 4 kids I needed the other and I lost 100lb on Atkins and needed an arm lift. When I directed the choir it looked like I was trying to fly:) :)
Do you all watch the HAWKCAM 2007--RED-TAIL HAWK with 2 chicks--- BORIS & NATSHA--BOTH HAWKS are in nest now----you can watch as long as you like---It has the same problem CO nest does---They all are over to one side of the nest---Ahhhh--Feeding time!!!---I'm not sure of location---It's an Academic Media---BEAUTIFUL BIRDS
Norma I like the Hawk Cam because I can see into the nest - Mom sure does have a red tail! The NY hawk cam I can only see when they pop up to be fed. You do get good pics of the adults.
Still an egg to be hatched at Puget Sound. I guess that is the last one that we know of needing yet to be hatched. Now it will get exciting awaiting the branching & fledging.
Mitts, I have big eyes and have always had a problem with the lids. It was ok in the morning but by evening it was hard to see. I kept tilting my neck back to see. I had mine done about 7 years ago. I went in and went home with in a few hours. I was going out on the town in a week.
THANKS JO---I missed KENT again---I was looking at the SC--TH--WE--Those little eaglets trying to "STAND TALL"---They are a TRIP when they wobble around!!!---ho! Yesterday--I saw their calendar & they marked Friday with "PAULA GOES HOME"----
I hope everyone had a wonderful day and you are all so awesome as your posts have kept me updated and excited as I can just imagine the excitement you felt when posting about the eggs hatching, 3 with one to go.
The Va juvies are HUGE, I sure did miss them and waching the oldest hop around with her outstretched wings was a thrill. I need a life here lol.
Trying to stay ahead of classes this semester which started monday are a handful since I am into my majors.
I'll be reading as I can and defintely viewing all these cams even the barn owls where they have a very fiesty little one.
Hi Robyn = It has been a beautiful day today. We'll keep our comments coming so you will be able to read & know exactly what is going on while you get educated!
OK, time to go home and no kids... Oh well its been a wonderful day and I'm ready to take off the panythose and heels. Hugs to you all, I will check in later.
I have been looking at cams, checking emails, reading blogs/forums. Found the pics of Paula's trip under the daily chat on IWS Forum - Looks as though it will be a vacation she'll always remember. The photos from the boat and on the island are spectacular. I sent her IWS comments through Momsters'.
Don't know where our eagles are --It's after 8:00.
I think since our nest has darken with the Eagle Spirits that I will take the evening off. I will return in about 2 1/2 hours to say good night. (unless something important comes up like a chick at Pugent)
I got a quick look at both chicks in the Kent nest tonight..very cute and fuzzy and ravenous for whatever parts of the fish Mama was feeding them...don't like to think about that too much.
Glo, I followed your 'clickable link' and decided to sign on for that blog too...as usual with blog stuff, I got lost over there and will have to go back and figure out what I did.
I did get the IWS site to clear up...don't know if they did anything in response to my e-mail, but I deleted my 'favorites' link and started over...works great now, except the SC cam is displaying a colorless Indian blanket tonight.
I clearly see one egg and one chick in the Pugent Sound nest. The chick is being fed. The view isn't close enough for me to see any details in the egg. Read their forum earlier & they are showing some concern; however, in years past the last egg hatched later then the normal time span. Good Night
On second look it probably was a fish, took a pic, thought I saw a wing coming out of egg, but on closer look it was chick's wing laying over the top of egg.
Good morning, eagle world! Not too bad out, but raining at my house. Didn't get out of it until I reached Point of Rocks. Also 62° at my house, 61° here. Wierd, usually warmer here.
SEE WE HAVE ANOTHER BABY!!! How exciting! They have about 24 hours between hatchings, so they'll grow up pretty close to each other. That's wonderful! Guess we have a little girl (at least according to eagle info) with a little brother. How cool is that!! Love the pics, thanks for sending, Mits!
May try to read blogs, but it's gonna be a busy day. Oh, osprey was in nest this morning when I logged on! Guess that's a good sign, but only if they get over fighting over the nest!
My baby had to spend the night in the hospital, vet thinks it may be a urinary tract infection. She was gonna take x-rays and make sure there is no blockage, and give him meds to make him potty. Have to call them at 9 this morning! Sure missed him, hate it when they can't come home! And my other male in the household was going crazy this morning... the boys stick together, and they bonded while he was still a kitten, and Golden Boy couldn't find Pharaoh this morning. Sure hope Pharaoh can come home this afternoon! I'll be glad to give him his meds. (He hates pills though, he has asthma and has to take prednesone twice a week. Always a challenge.) But hopefully, I can bring him home this afternoon.
BW chicks are snoozing, our nest MT, 1 osprey still in nest, and too dark to see anything else at the moment. All have a great eagle day. Eyes to the sky, see the raptors fly!
Oh my, you're not gonna believe who is in the osprey nest... non other than our one-legged faker gal. Geesh, thought it was the mate to the male, but guess not. One eaglet chick has wing over the other chick. That is so cute. Our nest MT, can't see to much in PA, and the barn owls are hanging out in the corner and up at the cam. They have had a good breakfast this morning, at least 1 of them has. Geesh, not for the weak stomached! BBL
BW chick has wing over other chick again. That is just too cute. Well, the smallest owlet tackled and won and battle with a rodent. He ate the WHOLE thing! Had his little wings out for balance so he could get it down. At that rate, he's gonna catch up with the bigger chicks real quick! Well, somebody else arrived in osprey nest, but our gal is still standing on her one leg. BW chicks are waking up and may start wing exercises looks like. One falcon on eggs, other one on ledge outside nestbox. Our nest MT, but they could arrive at any time.
Ok, one of them left, and there is a female in the nest, but I don't know if the one that arrived was a mele or female. Jim said it was a male. In any case, just 1 female in nest now. Our nest still MT, kids decided to sleep in this morning. Maybe it's raining there too, like it was at my house. BW parent in nest!
The 4 owlets have another something added for breakfast. Wonder which one will get this? The little one is moving to maybe look at it, but surely he has no room! Oh, changed his mind, not interested. Osprey has something in his talons, but can't tell if it's a fish or a branch. BW kids are awake, our nest MT, one falcon is on eggs, other one was on ledge outside nest, and of course too dark out west.
Another osprey just arrived and is mantling, the female that was there is just standing there. This may be the male with food, he doesn't share. Time will tell.
Well, dang, our guys must have decided to have a second and third cup of coffee, cause they're nowhere to be seen. They could have made a quick in and out and I missed it, but I haven't seen them all morning.
GOOD A.M. EAGLE BUDDIES!!----SUZANNE----MOVIN'JIM--COSTUME LADY & MITS--Raining in WV too SUZANNE---Just checked KENT---She has that CO EAGLE LOOK---"THE SHAG"---They must have had rain too!!----Must check the OWLS---SUZ--couldn't tell if you meant another one has been eaten or that the owlet was eating? ho!

Is anyone else having troubles with the IWS (Channel Islands) site?
Haven't tried it, Jim. Sometimes I can get it, other times I can't. Jim, tried it, I can get into the IWS site, but not sure it's where you want to be. I'm sorta on a home page. Yes, I can get in to see all 3 nests.
Man, those kids are getting big!
HAPPY MAY DAY, EVERYONE. Nice look, Steven
Jim, can't view Santa Cruz, that used Windows Media Player, which is not on my computer here! Can view the others.
Good Morning Mits,
Happy Cinco de Mayo to you too.
Hope Bethesda is as nice and sunny as it is here in Martinsburg.
HAPPY CINCO de MAYO to you all
WE AND TH are fine, Jim. But read last week, they were having problems with SC and were going to try and fix them.
DANG, Kent is locked up on all 3 cams!!!! Bummer...
They must be getting a ton of hits, Suz.
The site itself is hard for me to access, and when I do, the whole page is 'scrunched up', so that the pictures of the cams are incomplete...the S.Cruz Media Player site appears on top, so that's OK.
???
I e-mailed the webmaster this morning..let's see.
Just started last night.
Jim
Great day, everyone...

Good Morning Everyone
Steven I love the New Look but it surely did scare the heck out of me when it came up - I thought I lost my contact with everyone - BUT then I woke up! It is so pleasing to the eyes Thanks again
I didn't need to sign in.... is that a new feature - that it recognized me?
Didn't recognize me:(
Jo, you're special! I had to sign in, but I signed in way before new thread was up.
I am off to check emails & the cams.
I did get the IWS site up & just was able to view ALL 3 locations. Those guys are getting bigger. Anyone get VA or NE up today?
Mits On Cam 2 - is that TAI in the water or one of the older pandas?
Well I bet it does when you sign in for the first time... You all came over from the older one. I really don't want to be different!
didn't see him in the water, but that is Tai on Cam #2, he loves the water.
Lisa/BW has a special page on site about the eaglet naming contest. They really had good suggestions this year.
I had problems with clicking my favorites trying to get to TH. But I put in just iws.org and got in fine.
No NE or VA yet:(

Is anyone else concerned over the pugent sound egg? Shouldn't it have hatched already? I'm still learning them.
Not too concerned yet, Robyn, it depends on when it was laid, could be several days behind the 1st one hatched.
Thank you Mits
Well I think I am out of Mail Jail now. Thanks Glo for the VA update..I, like most of us here, are concerned that we will miss a fledging. Wish they would have given update on those 3 big guys in that nest-I bet that lightning bolt created some poop shoots!

Is that a half shell still in the nest by the chicks?
Just saw the little ones at Kent. Feeding time. So cute.
CHICK IN FULL VIEW AT
PUGET SOUND - Don't know yet if
I see an egg or another chick..
Hi Jill
Still an egg to be hatched at Puget Sound. I guess that is the last one that we know of needing yet to be hatched. Now it will get exciting awaiting the branching & fledging.
Want to get the am pics from Suz into the May 1 album - Sharon's are already in there. BBILW
Keep an eye on our nest for the first evening visit we could get before Heidigirl leaves work!
Jo I have the same question. Is that a full shell and why havent they thrown it out? They keep sitting on it.
Heidi, they like to eat the inside of the eggs.
Jo, Suzanne will be happy to see the other chick, and, I wasn't talking about my face being lifted, although my eyelids could use a lift.
both eagles in the nest at KENT
both eagles at puget, also.
changing of the guards at KENT
Oldest eaglet in VA reminds me of our BigBoy from last year.
Maybe the half shell will be moved by the adults soon. Maybe she is doing that now..
Excuse me Spirit -- That is dad in the Kent nest.
What do you think is in the Puget Sound nest off to the right -
Road Kill??
Mitts, I have big eyes and have always had a problem with the lids. It was ok in the morning but by evening it was hard to see. I kept tilting my neck back to see. I had mine done about 7 years ago. I went in and went home with in a few hours. I was going out on the town in a week.
Its a dead fish, Jo, they had 2 over in that spot and ate one.
Welcome back Mits.. Those VA eaglets are really large.... Sure wish NE would come up - we will really notice a difference in their size when it does.
Checking emails......... Our nest should be getting a visitor or two.
Yeah, I hope it comes back online soon also.
still looks like 1 egg at puget sound, was this one born last Thursday???
what ever that was on the left side of puget nest, it was white, is now gone.
I didn't know what that was either. I can't remember date of 1st hatch at Puget Sound. Guess I could find it on their forum........
THANKS JO---I missed KENT again---I was looking at the SC--TH--WE--Those little eaglets trying to "STAND TALL"---They are a TRIP when they wobble around!!!---ho! Yesterday--I saw their calendar & they marked Friday with "PAULA GOES HOME"----
Bet, they will miss her.:(
Pugent Sound 1st egg hatch April 26
2nd egg seems to be running late--ya think.
So pugets' chick is 6 days old, if not by tomorrow, probably doesn't look good:(. HI, ROBYNANN
Hi Robyn = It has been a beautiful day today. We'll keep our comments coming so you will be able to read & know exactly what is going on while you get educated!
BLACKBIRDS IN OUR NEST, CAN THE EAGLES BE FAR BEHIND???

now feeding again at KENT
OK, time to go home and no kids... Oh well its been a wonderful day and I'm ready to take off the panythose and heels. Hugs to you all, I will check in later.
I have been looking at cams, checking emails, reading blogs/forums. Found the pics of Paula's trip under the daily chat on IWS Forum - Looks as though it will be a vacation she'll always remember. The photos from the boat and on the island are spectacular. I sent her IWS comments through Momsters'.
Don't know where our eagles are --It's after 8:00.
My hotmail server is Temp Unavailable
How About That!
Adult red tail hawk on the nest in
Queens, NY... Can't see the chicks.
Panda Cam2 Our sleeping Prince is
growing & growing. No more sleeping as a Ledge Lodger.
I think since our nest has darken with the Eagle Spirits that I will take the evening off. I will return in about 2 1/2 hours to say good night. (unless something important comes up like a chick at Pugent)
Sneaked back in to say
GOOD VIEW OF UNATTENDED

Feeding at Kent - Good view of both chicks
Calling it a day...
Good Night & Peace Be With You
Good evening/Good morning, all...
Happy May Day and Day after May Day,
Jim
I don't know what mom is feeding chick at puget sound, it doesn't look like a fish, but the chick is loving it:)....GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE
11:28 Eagle Time In WV
I clearly see one egg and one chick in the Pugent Sound nest. The chick
is being fed.
BBL
Good very early morning, Suzanne and all...
I'm up temporarily, the nest is still guarded by the spirits of eagles past.
The Lady Osprey has migrated to the middle of the nest and is standing on one leg...maybe she will lay eggs at last??
Jim
It's still dark, but the male Osprey has just arrived on the nest too.
Jim
I'll be back in 2-3 hrs. Have a good morning.
Jim
BW chick has wing over other chick again. That is just too cute. Well, the smallest owlet tackled and won and battle with a rodent. He ate the WHOLE thing! Had his little wings out for balance so he could get it down. At that rate, he's gonna catch up with the bigger chicks real quick! Well, somebody else arrived in osprey nest, but our gal is still standing on her one leg. BW chicks are waking up and may start wing exercises looks like. One falcon on eggs, other one on ledge outside nestbox. Our nest MT, but they could arrive at any time.
Morning, Jim, sorry didn't see you come in. They are both just standing in the nest now. Now they're having a staring contest.
Both flapping wings at each other.
BRB
The 4 owlets have another something added for breakfast. Wonder which one will get this? The little one is moving to maybe look at it, but surely he has no room! Oh, changed his mind, not interested.
Osprey has something in his talons, but can't tell if it's a fish or a branch. BW kids are awake, our nest MT, one falcon is on eggs, other one was on ledge outside nest, and of course too dark out west.
Another osprey just arrived and is mantling, the female that was there is just standing there. This may be the male with food, he doesn't share. Time will tell.
Well, whoever it was they took off. Just the 1 female in nest now.
Ok, now the ospreys are mating. I presume that's our male, but no clue which female... Man, this is getting x-rated!
Female left, male still in nest.
Well, dang, our guys must have decided to have a second and third cup of coffee, cause they're nowhere to be seen. They could have made a quick in and out and I missed it, but I haven't seen them all morning.
Somebody else need to take over, have to get on other computer.
Good Morning Suz & Jim--I'm going with the birds to get a cup of coffee. Have a good day.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE Have a wonderful Wednesday:)
Suzanne, have you checked out the Norfolk nest this a.m....chicks have grown a little.
Dawn is slowly creeping in a KENT.
