Thanks for the new thread Steve. See you found the cluster maps too. great they are kind of neat to watch as folks stop by. You have so many here from so many different places..you will enjoy watching what happens with it.
I just 'scoped out' the VA nest, and it looks like the two oldest are sitting on branches and the youngest is in the nest...the oldest is perched exactly where her mother was yesterday.
I wonder what kind of tree that is...wonderful for 'branching.'
JIM Two Harbors gets banded the 30th - tomorrow. It is usually around the noon hour (your time) and of course around 3:00 (my time) Paula calls them Bully & Peanut!
Good Morning all. Its back to work for me. Boy am I behind. My desk looks like a bomb hit it. I have got to get caught up on my birds and emails. Thanks for holding down the fort for me while I was gone. It was a wonderful trip despite the loss. I got to spend quality time with my brother. funerals are never happy but this was loving and bitter sweet. My bird feeders were empty and my feathered friends were sitting on the fence waiting for me.My neighbor had a good laugh about it. My mocking bird still hasnt found a mate so his songs continue into the night.I may have to find him one so I can sleep. Have a beautiful day and I will check back later. Anne-Marie
Yes, Jo, I'm still at the beach, headed there now, probably will just get up early tomorrow a.m. and go back to Bethesda, and come back down Thursday or Friday, ans, stay for a week.
Thank you Mits and Mema Jo. Its felt good to sleep in my own bed. Motels and relatives are nice but I'm a fussy sleeper and I missed my sleep number bed. Its in the 90's here. Our summer has begun. I have to check the water every day for my birds. We wont see rain until maybe October.
Hi Gang! Home from vacation, and I have to agree with Anne-Marie, can't wait to sleep in my own bed tonight! Had a nice vacation and now dreading going back to work tomorrow. Have to catch up on lots of blogging. See ya later!
I guess I can believe the VA tree is a pine tree, Paula (looks like needles in the background, too), but it doesn't grow like any pine I've seen.
Now, I can't get back into that cam...don't know if it's down or too busy.
The Santa Cruz cam is back up, and it appears the eaglet has grown and has feathered out a lot since the cam went blank...got a good look at its beak in profile, and I'm guessing it is definitely a female.
Likewise, two West End chicks were doing 'close-ups' to the camera, and one definitely, possibly both, is (are?) male.
Good to see you back, Anne-Marie (my sister's name is Ann-Marie), and I am equally sorry to hear about your loss. God be with your family.
Welcome back to you Sunny. Good luck in getting through the blogs. It has been pretty busy. It is always hard to come back from vacation, but still good to get into your own house. Candy
Hey Mits and Jim. Mits, while I was to Josh's I pikced up a small panda bear to go with the two panda books that are by our computer at school with the pic of your panda babies in it. I also showed the kids the stork on another computer in the room, but the pandas are their favorite. Candy
Candy, maybe you can plan a class trip to the DC zoo one day, not sure how old your kids are, but it really is a great zoo.....Jill we had 260,000 people here in OC this past weekend, but, it was really quiet today. Shortly the June-Bugs will be here, seniors from high-school and college. Always makes for some interesting reading in the local papers.

Morning, all.
Jim, I thought one had fledged yesterday....but now I don't think so!!
Good morning all in Eagle Land.

Have a great day today.

Thanks for the great, early morning reports, Suzanne. You have the charm...only sighting of Liberty-Belle in days.
Thanks again, you're doing a great job.
Jim
To see a special moment and also renew some wonderful memories you might want to check out Houston we have lift off
Well, it is nap time & thought I would pop in to catch up. Thanks for the new thread, Steve. Where is another great picture from your trip?
more pictures tonight.
I was watching Norfolk, and the second eaglet flew clumsily back down to the nest and then back up to another branch...needs practice.
Then the young one was practicing 'getting air' when a big gust came through and almost blew him out of the nest...he's definitely not ready yet.
According to the blog the S. Cruz cam is supposed to be up today, but still dead when I looked in.
Is this the day the Two Harbors chicks get banded? Or next weekend?
I saw the Kent chicks starting to stand up and move around this morning...

Welcome home, Sunny. Hello. Jim.
Welcome back Anne-Marie. Sorry about your loss. Our prayers are with you and yours. I bet your birds are glad you are back too, from the sounds of it.

BTW Jim, has anything been decided about what is going on in the BW nest?
Hey Mits. Bet the beach is beautiful now. Crowds have decreased not many around now. Have fun.
