Good morning everyone and thank you Steve. Hope your trip was fun and relaxing.

Will be going to the school house soon. Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning all! Well, after 4 hours of sleep I am off and running. TERRIBLE and long storms last night. We had a close hit that scared Daisy right out of her bed and then she shook for 20 minutes.

Palmer is settled in the middle of the nest and all is well with her world!

Have a great day everyone!

Good Friday Morning in Eagle land to Judie and Lynn2---I'll have to go back and catch older thread to see who all has come in this AM.

New leaves laying in nest are pretty. All the birds singing like crazy.

I love the regular ones in the group that send out emails. Why?
Because if something is sent out and it needs more information. There is always a "history type person" that knows a little to add to the first email. That makes you feel "LIKE NOT STARTING A WAR" lol
that thanks this morning goes to our MEGAN (:

wvgal_dana said...

Palmer is at the 12 o'clock area and maybe Belle just flew in. Is there a fish??? No I don't think so
NOPE was Palmer ever yelling. Now she isn't happy camper no fish.

wvgal_dana said...

She spreads her wings and jumps across the nest to the cam side. Just yelling like "where is my fish".
I'm not Chrissy she does these stories BETTER !!! (:

Lolly said...

Good morning! First thing I did was look up the lastest report on Hope. Now I have that picture of Lily nursing Hope as my wallpaper.

Next I checked on Palmer and almost fainted! You can hardly see him as he blends in with the tape on the tree.

Lolly said...

Think now I will go check on our Loon.

Lolly said...

Oh, forgot to say how jealous I am of your nest visit. 20!!! Wow! That is just fantastic! The Eagle Express is gonna ROCK!!

Food delivery at the nest. Palmer is mantling. Now both parents! And, Palmer is warning themn off. LOL

Lolly said...

Palmer is being fed and once again talking with food in his mouth. Bad manners! Think he was starving!

Lolly said...

Backed off for a ps and then ran back to parent for more food.

Lolly said...

It was a good size fish that was brought in and Palmer is having a nice meal.

Lolly said...

Beautiful picture on the Loon cam. Love those yellow Iris and the water is so blue! We will have to be watching closely starting Monday, almost time for hatching. Don't want to miss the little Loonies.

Lolly said...

Palmer is still chowing down, but apparently is finally feeling full as he has quieted down.

Lolly said...

Palmer is through eating, adult still in the nest, a few wing flaps. I want to see some major action!

Lolly said...

Adult poofed!

wvgal_dana said...

Good Eagle Morning Lolly ( :

Palmer just got a little rise off the nest with that wing flap.

Lolly said...

Ahhh, finally! Some good wing flaps and high jumps. You go, Palmer!!

Also, watching Loch of the Lowes. It is really looking stormy there. Cam was moving around, then zoomed in really close and focused on drops of water on the feathers. Cool!

Lolly said...

Morning Dana! Glad you are here. Have been talking to myself for some time now. Oh, well.....!☺

Lolly said...

Time to get busy. Doctors appointment this morning, then heading to Dallas this afternoon. Time for a #3 fix!!☺

Have a great day!

wvgal_dana said...

Now just look at our lovely Palmer trying to play hide-in-seek. Down in the right corner of the nest by the cam tree. tee hee you don't fit lmbo

hedgie said...

Good morning! Hope everyone is having a good one.
Margy and Wanda....did you see the picture of the bear in Freddie and Dianne Gant's yard in the paper today??
I'm going to be scarce today. Have to do some business online and try to get some more outdoor work done! C U later!

Ragdoll said...

Good morning all in eagle land. I have but a moment. No students, but it's teacher in service day. Yuk!!

Palmer just had a nice noisy meal and now flapping away. Good Girl!

I have so much to do at home, but we are going north again to help our friends finish their beautiful porch. We will be at the pond so we can stay cool and great place for a memorial picnic. We leave right after I leave school. So if you don't see me on here know that you are all in my heart and prayers.

Again I want to thank you Magpie for sending me the NCTC article and Thank you Suzanne for providing the extra articles. Without the extra's I would not have one.

Call me crazy, but getting the article in my hand (tangible) makes me feel great and closer to all of you. So again, THANK YOU

Well back to work. I wish everyone a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. "Remember all of those who lost their lives for our freedom."

Prayers for all needs and wants. Love you all. ((Hugs)) ^..^

wvgal_dana said...

Good Fri Morning in Eagle Land Lynn1, and Ragdoll.

Oh boy I wished I had gotten to see that bear Lynn1. There was one a year or two ago. Spotted back the road behind Bedington Cross Rds Store but on back the road.

I don't think I would go anywhere close like Dr. Rogers and his associate did putting that colar back on Lily. WOW !!

wvgal_dana said...

I got the hide-seek shot of Palmer. I'll send it around and later put it in the momster album, have some I should have already put in there from the other day.

Bad me....

Mema Jo said...

Good Morning everyone on the Fresh Friday Thread! Wanted to come on in and let you know I'm up/running and reading your comments & cleaning up the emails.
Palmer's dark feathers up against the tree trunk at first looks like Duct Tape. lol The flower by the loon makes a pretty scene.
Be right back !

Mema Jo said...

Daughter placed grad pics on FB last night.. I need to go look at those.

magpie said...

magpie said...

Lynn
I see that picture of the Bear...
last year the only bear sighting I heard of was near Snake Lane on Dry Run Road, that would put this bear in the same general neighborhood...
Dana - Snake Lane...
does your niece still live there ?

magpie said...

Palmer (almost typed Hidey) flapping around a little

magpie said...

Dana
I was wondering why I could not find those pictures on the album you mentioned....☺
maybe see them later

magpie said...

would really like to be at Arlington this week-end...
but am working straight through til Sunday night
best I can do is take some time with James at the cemetery on Monday and maybe catch the ceremony at our local Doughboy Memorial...

Hope this is a good day for everyone, especially those with illness and troubles...

xo see you later, friends
(( hugs ♥ ))

wvgal_dana said...

Good Fri Morning in Eagle Land Mema Jo and Margy.

I finished putting two pics in Eagle Momster album.

Yes the bear sighting really wasn't on Snake Lane. Sister called from there. Yes Margy
she lives with niece. It was on the main hard service road. A nice baby bear. Said back then she didn't stick around for Momma to come. lmbo

I 2nd Margy's comment at 11:34AM about Military.

Be safe out there in travels - travel prayers for all this weekend.

I sure hope I got enough info to pick out a laptop. Wonder if I need one of those fan pads for underneath? hummm

hedgie said...

Ragdoll, have a fun weekend---don't work too hard!

Dana, I've wondered about those pads, too.

Jo, glad everything went well with the graduation!! What does the grad girl plan next in her life?

Mema Jo said...

She'll spend 2 years Jr college - locally

Mema Jo said...

Lost a rather large limb in back yard last night.. Must have just been a
wind storm. Hubby cutting it up now.

hedgie said...

That's good to hear, Jo! (about college, not limb!!)

hedgie said...

Sky is getting heavy here. No sun all day. Temp ok but humidity is terrible. I'm dripping! In for another drink break!

Judie said...

Hi everyone,

Ragdoll, have a nice weekend.

I agree Lynn, good news about gd and college not the broken limb.

Found out converting VHS to DVD is not difficult AND lucky for me, I can take tapes in and convert them at school. Won't have to purchase anything unless I want to. Yippee!

Palmer was wingersizing earlier and hopping about. Boy Toy brought in a fish and to Isla's amazement took off with it.

Drove by Arlington National Cemetary this morning -- flags being placed. A full honors funeral was about to begin its procession from the old chapel.

Hello,

Today was our Blue Devil Pride day. It was cloudy most of the day, but it didn't rain. The kids seemed to have fun.

I came home sleepy from sitting outdoors most of the day. George and I are relaxing together.

I'm about ready to head upstairs. I'll see you tomorrow.

Enjoyed reading the Lily update tonight.

Good night.

PA Nana said...

Good night to all heading for their pillows. I have 2 more loads of laundry to do yet and hope I can finish tonight 'cause I have more to do tomorrow.

It's getting really humid again. Today was cloudy and cool but the forecast is calling for a very hot/humid weekend. Too bad.

Every Memorial Day (Monday) Maytown has a flea market (at the other end of town) and a parade that goes right in front of our house. I'm hoping I can make the trek to the flea market - haven't been there in years and love looking at the antiques. (glassware, etc. not people);o)

The parade I can watch from a chair out the front window if it's extremely hot and the sun is shining. Lucky me, but can't interact with the participants and neighbors. We'll see....

Anyway, have a pleasant evening and wake up refreshed tomorrow.

Prayers for all wants/needs. God bless

hedgie said...

Quiet evening here. Napped, read, got some phone calls, watched some TV.....didn't mean to ignore. Heading for tub. See you fine, fowl folks tomorrow.

Hi, Everyone,

It's been a busy evening, so I'm getting here a bit late. Hubby & I are watching Sis- & Bro-in-law's bulldogs thru Sunday.

Oops--did I miss a birthday?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI! Have a good one! Hope it's a really special day for you!

Hope all you veterans have a really wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Many, many heartfelt thank yous for all you have done for us. You are much appreciated!

Lynne, sorry to hear that Daisy was scared by the storms you had. Hope she's doing better now.

Dana & Lolly, thanks for the play-by-play at the nest. Sometimes I can't get the live cam without it messing up my computer, and your descriptions are super!

Judie, Shirley, and Ragdoll, hope you have a nice long weekend away from school.

Well, I'm getting pretty tired, so think I'll say goodnight. Prayers being said for everyone. The night light is on, the porch light is too, and the eye scanner security is enabled. Hope we all sleep well and have sweet eagle and bear cub dreams. God bless, and good night! Love all of you guys! :o]

LORI HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
AND LOTS MORE WITH FUN!

For some of you thinking about where Palmer is at in the nest. The right hand corner partically hiding herself. Wasn't in our Spunky that use to do that to. I believe could truly hide almost all of Spunky's self just a tiny bite showed. About the same area I think? Can you all remember??

Enjoy those pinics and safe travels for all.

Hay BUDDY-T-Bird-Thelma's doggie grab a hotdog when they aren't looking lol

paula eagleholic said...

Morning, all!

Eaglet at BWE is eating

wvgal_dana said...

Good Eagle Morning Paula. It was hard finding at 500 gig when that 17" screen on the 320 with 4 ram was staring at me. You think that will be enough??

I have been busy putting some pics in the Eaglet Momster album of this am.

Earlier Palmer down in the right hand corner. Making believe we can't see her. She was really picking at her feathers. She wants those fuzzy's to go---BE GONE baby feathers.

Now at the 12 o'clock position. Standing guard while looking out over the land she will soon be soaring over.

paula eagleholic said...

Breakfast has arrived! Lib panting...Palmer snagged it and is peeping

paula eagleholic said...

Man, chasing Lib off the nest!! Lib's gone! Now watching Lib fly away.

paula eagleholic said...

Now Palmer is eating right under the cam

paula eagleholic said...

Dana, 320 will be enough. 500 is nice if it's available. Did you get it?

wvgal_dana said...

Thanks Paula for the play by play. I went to get my coffee and cereal. Came back and read your comments. Thanks so much.

Been thinking a lot of Carol Mick. Seems like by night time during week I forget to call her. Just tried and of course, not there. She probably went to the city to see family. HI CAROL anyways.

wvgal_dana said...

Paula you still here?

paula eagleholic said...

Not sure Palmer finished breakfast, think it's the dark thing laying around 5ish

paula eagleholic said...

Still here, Dana.

Sure do miss Norma, too!

wvgal_dana said...

Paula I got one like Lynn's-Hedgie the Acer. I just couldn't resist that 17" screen. They didn't have in stock. Picking up today at 1pm they are from another store. Brining to store here. I'm going in later today to take in what disk I have that they might need. If any and having those trial things removed.
320 gig 4gig hard drive webcam 17" screen and I love then not shiny area where palms and scroll is. Although I did get a wireless mouse. Got a nice cooling fan slanted flap thingy to put laptop on. Will need to pick up a carryiing case.

Called Comcast today $10.00 at time fee. Sending out wireless router

paula eagleholic said...

Parent is back and rushed by Palmer, maybe to protect the food....chased off the nest again!! Too funny!

paula eagleholic said...

Parent lands up in tree, Palmer peeping away, dragged breakfast to the middle of the nest.

paula eagleholic said...

Nope, that dark thing is still at 5ish. Palmer looking up into tree at parent

paula eagleholic said...

Sounds great, Dana.

paula eagleholic said...

My router is both wireless and wired...

wvgal_dana said...

Met to say one time fee $10.00

I'm excited !! (:

I wanted a camera but after visit with eye doctor. Decided on the laptop. He said I still might need to have the surgery on eyes. To close the tear ducts. Still having trouble only with right eye though. EEEKKK

paula eagleholic said...

Both TH chicks were banded as females.

paula eagleholic said...

Dana - if that solves the problem, it sounds like it would be worth it. You have been fighting this issue for quite awhile.

wvgal_dana said...

The community yard sale they are having in here June 4, 5 and 6th. He suggested I should re-think being out all that time. Plus the bending over seems to add to right eye problem.

So I am thinking of donating my stuff to Hedgesville Fire Hall. They are having a yard sale I think it is the 5th almost sure. Monies to finish off upstairs of new fire hall. They will be having their yard sale at old firehall and FOOD! Plus all of Hedgesville will be having their own yard sales the 5th.

I could go to their yard sale. Have something to eat and back home and inside without being out for all those hours on 4,5,and 6.

I think Ed would rather me do that. Because he wanted the upstairs to get finished at the Hedgesville Fire Hall.

I have stationary bike, Gazella machine. Treadmill I want to see if my neighbor wants it. If so will just give to her she is such a nice, wonderful neighbor. Plus I have lots of things that wuld sale. Historial Romance novels I told them heck sell them for 10 cents each they will go like crazy.
I have the chair and the long that you lay on soft material heat and vibrate mats and more. So I think some will help the Firehall make monies and keep me eyeballs from surgery for awhile longer.

CRC re Noah on FB -

Regarding the eagle Noah: After conversations with folks at Virginia Tech who use similar transmitters, we believe that poor cell phone coverage in this area of Virginia means that we may not hear from Noah for several weeks. They will also try to go to Noah's last known location this weekend just to check it out. Thanks for your continued patience as we follow together the travels of Noah!

paula eagleholic said...

At least a second fledge at NBG, only one eaglet in sight...in the nest.

paula eagleholic said...

Lib back,,,with another fish?

paula eagleholic said...

Hmm what did he bring

paula eagleholic said...

I think it's a squirrel! Palmer trying to defur...

paula eagleholic said...

Lib is hanging out at the back of the nest.

wvgal_dana said...

Wow Paula 4 chicks WOW WOW !!

Paula I thought Lib had flown into Palmer and knocked her down. Cause Palmer was in way of landing wanting that fish. Did it look like that to you???? Two pair of eyes are better than one or should I now say 1/2 lol

paula eagleholic said...

No, no knock down, Dana

paula eagleholic said...

It is a squirrel, Palmer has backed up to the 5, with back to edge. wish she would move back to the middle!

wvgal_dana said...

Palmer see's Lib move just a tat towards her. Palmer whines out more like, "STAY BACK MY FISH". Lib just I think was turning around to watch Palmer eating. Now Palmer drags the fish whether away from Lib. hee hee

paula eagleholic said...

Still trying to attack the squirrel. Lib waiting patiently.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer standing on squirrel and peeping, still trying to eat it. Lib still at the back.

paula eagleholic said...

Both osprey at BWO, looks like Dad at the back of the nest, Mom on eggs.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer must be getting something....head down and picking away, back to cam

wvgal_dana said...

A SQUIRREL----I need my eyes checked lmbo (a fish I said and I thought)...Oh Paula I am so glad you are on here with me. I would have told the wrong story. Now will anyone ever believe my stories again. Darn eyes ! Well now I am VERY THANKFUK FOR MY EYES!

paula eagleholic said...

Parent and eaglet at BWE now

paula eagleholic said...

It is hard to tell sometimes, Dana, even with good eyes, let alone 1 1/2 :):)

wvgal_dana said...

Lib just sits back there like, "Alright kid you wanted it now let's see if you can de-fur it". Per Paula letting me know it is a squirrel. I am wondering if Lib will let Palmer just keep working at it. Or will Lib come over and take charge. Teaching Palmer how to de-fur squirrel. Only time will tell....watching, watching, and wathing.

And to think I was getting ready to go back to my comfy bed on the couch.

paula eagleholic said...

My guess is Dad and female eaglet at BWE, eaglet bigger than parent!

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer still eating, Lib still waiting patiently at the back.

paula eagleholic said...

I think Lib was waiting to see if assistance was needed...doesn't look like it...so now, maybe just resting or waiting for nestovers.

paula eagleholic said...

Fish delivery at CT, can see osprey chicks now

paula eagleholic said...

Can see all 4 chicks at CT

Mema Jo said...

Good Saturday Morning All!
It was great to open our cam and see Palmer right there at the tree trunk!
Everyone enjoy safe travels today if you're headed out.

Happy Birthday Lori I hope your day is full of surprises and fun.
Have a great year ahead

wvgal_dana said...

Well Palmer much be eating from an area Lib open up. Cause I don't see any fur flying where Palmer is pulling fur off.

I'll check out CT Paula I always loved those two Oprey's.

paula eagleholic said...

Lib checking out something to the left, Palmer peeping cuz he's near his squirrel!

paula eagleholic said...

Lib has made his way to the squirrel now, got it from Palmer, who is peeping madly now, and is de-furring it.

stronghunter said...

I see Palmer eating and Lib in the nest. Wow, what a wing spread. Some chirps from Palmer.

Palmer looks huge!

stronghunter said...

Palmer getting fed, but also fighting parent.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer was trying to get it back, now Lib took it to the 2, Palmer goes back and get it, but Lib still has some of it, and is feeding some to Palmer, who rushes over, then Lib moves to the back to the rest of it at the 2 and is giving Palmer some bites.

paula eagleholic said...

Itsy bitsy at CT has worked it's way closer to the fish...

paula eagleholic said...

Missed the position change at BWO

wvgal_dana said...

Lib has made 3 walks off to the left side of nest closer to Palmer and her prize. Palmer whined about the move.
Is Lib getting ready to leave nest. Doing a lot of looking around
outiside of nest. Looks like Lib has spotted something and is keeping eyes peeled on it. So maybe the move closer to Palmer was
to get in position in case of an intruder. Lib looks over at
Palmer still eating Then back to that same area outside of nest. Palmer stretches wings and now Lib is moving in on the prize food. Palmer is whining but not trying to take back from Lib. I think Palmer wants Lib to feed her. Lib is now de-furring the SQUIRREL (as Paula said it was). Ok Ok Palmer hold on boy you couldn't de-fur it. Now Palmer moves over into the face of Liberty while Lib is trying to de-fur. Lib moves away from it. Again like, "OK you can
de-fur it . Now they are together and Palmer is HAPPY Liberty is feeding her. She GETS HER WAY AGAIN !! LOL

paula eagleholic said...

I am so enjoying this cam surfing this morning! :)

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, Palmer is eating at Lib's feet now.

Now Lib feeding Palmer again...too funny!

stronghunter said...

It is interesting to see how patient the adult eagle is with the young one.

stronghunter said...

Palmer looks larger than Lib.

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer really peeping away like she hasn't had anything to eat all morning! What a piggie!!

paula eagleholic said...

Shirley, that's why most think Palmer is a female!

stronghunter said...

I remember that most thought Hidey was a female for the same reason, but there have been comments that Palmer is larger than Hidey. I can't tell which is larger at this point, Palmer or Hidey.

stronghunter said...

I don't think Palmer is as aggressive as Hidey was.

paula eagleholic said...

I think Hidey was a male, he was only as large as Lib, not markedly bigger like Palmer.

paula eagleholic said...

Another PS by Palmer, and she moves under the cam...I think she is finally full!

paula eagleholic said...

MY nbg is down...

paula eagleholic said...

Beak cleaning time for Palmer, now just hanging under the cam, some looks up towards the cam

Haven't read all posts yet....morning all!

paula eagleholic said...

Palmer went back for thirds....all done now, Lib just took off from the launch pad

paula eagleholic said...

Or was that fourths, LOL :)

Dana, take note: on this puter, there is a google toolbar with a "translate" icon on it.....if you open any of the cams/pages from another country, click on it and it AUTOMATICALLY recognizes language and translates site to English!! You don't even have to know what language it's in. Much better than the IE or MS translators!!

kickngbird said...

Lib figured, this kid has a hollow leg - I better go get another squirrel or something...

paula eagleholic said...

LOL, kb

Lynn, is that on ie 8?

paula eagleholic said...

Good Morning in Eagle Land the land of "feed me" lol Mema Jo, Kickingbird.

As Paula has commented I put picks with similar wording (which didn't know what Paula was saying at time) lol in the Eaglet Momster Album. Ending with the two Liberty and Belle's picture of being FILLED BY SQUIRREL...so glad Paula corrected me or I would have been writing fish.

That is neat Lynn1-Hedge....My wireless router will be here in 7 or so days. I don't think I have anything Staples has of my Dell CD's to put into the Laptop. I'll take them in so they can look at them today after 1pm.

Parent at CT with another fish, he's feeding Mom who is brooding the chicks

Judie said...

Happy Birthday, Lori.

Dana, hope you enjoy the laptop. Still wishing you recovery from eye problems.

Will miss Palmer's antics.

Paula, it's a Google thing.

Paula and Lynn what dvd's or cd's did you have to use to put programs back in computer??

paula eagleholic said...

Dana - the installation disk for the program you want to load.

paula eagleholic said...

Thanks, Lynn, will have to check it out.

OK, off to get some mulch! BBL

Good morning! Have been reading the comments and the blow by blow of Palmer taking charge of the squirrel. Way to go Palmer. I always refer to Palmer as "he", guess I should try to start thinking "she". LOL

I saw those 4 CT babies the other day. Thought surely I was wrong and kept counting....several times. Then I was convinced there were 4! Wondered why no one had mentioned that....guess I should have. Oh, well.....!

Had a great time in Dallas. Ashley prepared crab cakes, corn relish, and potato salad. Jack did the stuffed jalepenos. It was all delicious. Zach wore me out, sitting on my lap and playing with my telephone. He has a new bedroom.....all guitars and Elvis. He will be our future rock star. Yikes!

Gotta do some house cleaning today. Tomorrow Laurel and family will be here for the afternoon and evening. Doing Sunday, not Monday as Tuesday is yet another school day. Next week is the last week for Laurel and the boys. They are excited.

Wanda, glad yesterday was a good day for your family and GG. I always get tickled when I see mention of Bacon Pasta. Saw a different, but close recipe. Going to give it a try and will report back.

I really need to get with it. No time to surf today. I have already wasted a morning. Read the paper on the patio and then stayed out for a while. Going to get hot today, not a cloud in the sky.

Have a great weekend everyone! I'll be popping in occasionlly.

Happy Saturday to Everyone. Never got on here last night~~got home from work at 9 PM--duh. But 2 gigantic signs at the Mnt. place are corrected & done. I don't want to see them again!(except if there's "letters on the ground"!!!)Don't stick too well to the paint they used.
Anyway it IS Sat. & when I got up, I thought it was TH!!
Glad to read about Palmer getting breakfast. I think Palmer is larger than Hidey was, too. So probably a girl.
I've been seeing our little Downy W. parents feeding babies at the suet feeder. One baby actually hang on the side o0f the feeder and while waiting for a handout, picked at the suet itself!! Progress! So far have a hummer back--they never wear there nametags, so I guess it's one.
Gotta hit the store~~~BBL

Just found turtle poo....hope that means that Myrtle is back! It's in the area where she always hung out the past 4 years!

wvgal_dana said...

Hummmm wonder what Lynn1's-Hedgie's description of turtle poo is going to be?????

hedgie said...

LOL, Dana..no description!! I just know it when I see it. Looks like toad poo, but bigger! I know---I like strange pets!

ceil said...

Lynn I like strange animals also. Just got back from the Aquarium. Did not have training today but went to learn my way around. Saw some great birds and two of the guides where complimenting me on what I know already. The turtles come up to the window to say hello. Think you are strange I talk back to them.
Lynn2 MARGARET IS STILL THERE.
