Good Eagle Morning Mits, Ceil, Judie and Lolly on this thread.
I'll have to go check out older thread.
Listening to were Steve Chase will be talking.
Yesterday was hard but I made it through it. Met Eileen's sisters (three of them) from N. Dakota. Surely made me think of our Deb Palmer from S. Dakota.
I loved what the guy said about "Wild Moutain Lion on the loose" tee hee
Last evening the National Zoo’s lion cub died. Lion keepers had been closely observing the cub, a male, via camera since his birth Tuesday morning. When keepers noticed the cub was not responding to its mother, they shifted the mother outdoors in order to examine the cub. A veterinary team confirmed his death.
Pathologists performed the necropsy and found a straw awn (the pointed tip on a blade of straw) in the cub’s lungs, which led to pneumonia and was determined to be the cause of death. The use of straw bedding for animals, including great cats, is common throughout zoos. There was only organic material in the lions’ den.
Animal keepers form strong relationships with the animals in our care. The keepers in the Great Cats unit have truly enjoyed the process of building a pride, and we were ecstatic when Naba bred with Luke and got pregnant. The arrival of the cub was one of the most rewarding experiences keeper Kristen has had since becoming a keeper. We watched with anticipation for the first few days on the web cam, as Naba developed into quite a good first-time mother. When the cub died, Kristen was devastated. She is most concerned for Naba right now, however. It is difficult, but necessary, to avoid attaching human feelings to Naba's experience with the loss of her first cub.
We are hopeful that she will breed again. Her sister Shera has also bred with Luke, and we expect more opportunities for joy with lion cubs in the future.
“Losing this lion cub is devastating for all of us at the National Zoo,” said Dennis Kelly, the Zoo's director. “I believe this was a one-in-a-million fluke. Unfortunately, this is the downside to the ‘cycle of life.’ But, the animal care team and Zoo staff are consummate professionals, and I know they’ve learned a tremendous amount from creating the pride, breeding the lions and getting Nababiep through her first birth. We mourn this loss yet keep our focus on the best care for the lion pride.”
Nababiep, the mother, has rejoined her sister Shera, and keepers plan to reunite the females with Luke, the male, very soon. Keepers will continue to watch the pride closely as this was the first cub for Nababiep.
Good morning! Loch of Lowes is hatching #2!!! Been going on all morning...slow process! The radio interview that Steve did is with Larry Batson, the guy who along with his wife had the various species in the auditorium last fall.
Hearing Steve speak on the tape now about NCTC from Wild World hosted by Larry BGattson - Upcoming Open House event mentioned for 4th week Oct - Purpose and activities at NCTC - Training programs - Notary that visit NCTC - Programs presented for general public - Deer population - More to come.........
Oh, Mits....that is so sad......the cause of death is truly a terrible twist of fate...hard to prevent something like that as there must be bedding material. He must have been a very active baby to inhale something like that. :( :(
Steve & Larry back on - School programs sponsored by NCTC being discussed - Now the Bald Eagle news! (54:31 on tape) Nest building - web cam - talking about Palmer - eagle cam url being given - live feed and still cam - June 20 - 25 anticipating first flight - habits of our eagles - Potomac River - feeding by eagle parents that they know what they are doing especially when there are 3 little ones.
Neat you can take your lap top to work, Thelma. Great hearing from you during the day!
I am going to get ready for the hair appointment - hope I fair as great as Mattie Jane did with her new do!
Butterflies are starting for me and I can just imagine what tummies are like for the bride and groom to be and their parents! WHoo Hoo! I love the feeling! She is going to be such a beautiful bride! He is going to be such a handsome groom! The flower girl, Sophia (almost 4) and the two ring bearers, Joseph (6) and Anthony (5) may just steal a lot of the attention!
Jo, I should have waited for your summary.....naturally our eagles would be at the end of the broadcast! I know how excited you must be.....almost as bad as when it was one of your girls, huh? Hopefully, I have a long time to wait before a gd gets hitched!!
Palmer has been flapping her wings. Scares me. She's on the edge of nest and it doesn't look like she holds on the nest real tight like Hidey did. What would happen if she popped out of the nest. Would she be able fly?
I hope Naba the cubs mother makes it ok through the grieving process. I pray for dear Kristen and all the Zoo's eople that feel saddness at this time and watchers or visitors. Mits you are included for you are a wonderful volunteer there.
Ragdoll I hope you quickly get over this pneumonia.
Lynne2 prayers for your SIL and those friends and faimly
Pearl (Daisy) is beautiful ... hope you become her Mommy.
The falcon cam is at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. I found it at a New York City cam website. There was also a crow cam there. Don't much care for crows, but the cam might be interesting. I don't know if I can find it again, though.
I was watching the crow cam yesterday, can't remember where I saw it......so much going on at Isla's nest today and the space walk too.....can't believe what time it is already
Well its closing in on 1Pm South Bend time and celebration of life service will soon begin. I trust the family is all together now to bid their final good byes to the body. I do pray a sense of peace and healing be very evident as this service proceeds and the and vicky and her whole family will feel loved and supported throughout this very difficult time. I am posting here but plan to also head to her facebook page now as I am sure she will see those messages there at some point today as well.
The sloth video is adorable. Sloths are very laid back animals. They eat and sleep. Most of the time high up in a tree. We have a mom and baby at the aquarium.
so very sorry to read of the loss of the little lion cub... Helen, thinking of you especially and all your zoo co-workers
I'm using my favorite coffee mug of one soaring eagle and two fledged juveniles on branches believe it is from the year I met Vicky, 2008 if not I can pretend it is so
I am trying to get organized to get out of here before too much longer. Did not accomplish as much as I wanted to this morning, but did get a nice panda nap. Probably not a bad thing to do since I need to keep going this evening at class.
Immediately got a fish to the head that had just been delivered and was flopping around. Good thing they're resilient! Man, I hope somebody got that on vid.
The flopping headless fish hopped across the nest onto the partially cracked/hatched 2nd egg and the fish went one way, the egg shell went another and what was left was a brand new baby osprey. CRAZY
Did stop a moment at 1:00 to think of Vicky and her family. Prayers for all to heal quickly.
Now to find the lion cub did not survive. I hope Naba will quickly recover from her loss. Prayers for all the caring zoo workers and volunteers.
On a happier note, Isla is doing a fine job. She was not sharing a peek at the second chick but did see the first this morning. Nice that boy toy is taking good care of his family.
On another happy note, Palmer is feeding herself but standing a bit too close to the edge for me.
Jo, don't worry about your "do" for tomorrow. I live in a community called Camelot and I decree that not a hair will be out-of-place nor will it rain til after sundown.
Off to rest my legs/feet. Too much walking today. Need to listen to Steve.
Steve, I enjoyed your talk but worry about the bandwidth still available since you gave out the address. ... just kidding really, we will enjoy sharing with newbies. This is an awesome site.
I've been here a little over a year now and can honestly say "I came for the eagles but stayed for the friends."
Well...I said I'd never tried the TP!!! LOL. I am ALWAYS a bedhead, no matter what! I think the recliner idea is probably the best one!! Ragdoll, my cousin is a reenactor, too. She looks so cute with her snood!!
Long time ago read to keep a do for long hair pile it up and put it in a ponytail on top never really did much good but keeps it out of the way Camelot, perfect Judie, that's a good decree
Never knew I was from Frostburg Maryland until I started checking the site map
would like to take a moment here to remember all our Emergency Medical Services Personnel, during this, National Emergency Services Week, all active and retired, volunteer and paid, and those that have gone before us
Bravo for these selfless and tireless individuals....
Aw...they said that as soon as Naba's milk dries up she will go back into estrus and mate again....that's encouraging. Her sister is mating as well. My puter geek was at the zoo Sunday (sure that's why he forgot he was supposed to come here!) and he said they saw the lions mating. His little girl was carrying and loving a cute stuffed panda when they came Monday!
Hedgie, Back in those days women wore snoods to keep their hair out of their way. My hair is just below chin length. I wear a snood even though it's short. My story is that my son was sick and I cut my hair and sold it to pay for a doctor. Now I am too old for it to be my son. Guess it will have to be my Grandson. LOL
not sure Hedgie but when I check the blog or nest one of the two, it says recent hits, and Frostburg shows up, when I am up in the middle of the night, figure it has to be me... short time ago, were hits from Idaho, Hagerstown, and Novia Scotia ...have no idea how that works...
intended to add, before I signed off... prayers for peace and comfort, especially for Vicky and anyone with troubles on their mind or in their heart xo ♥
Whoops Time for me to go see some TV Might only be watching the 9:00 show Medium....... I would like to see them rescue someone out of an alligator on Miami Medical!
Applause Applause Applause to all the EMS personnel that aid us in our emergencies! Love you all!
Ceil - don't you let those frogs 'dart' you! You have a full day tomorrow and you'll love every minute of it until your head hits the pillows! I'll let you know how my day goes.... too fast I bet!
LOL always meant to me Laughing out loud Jo the frogs are no longer poison. It is what they ate in the wild. A specific insect made them poisonous. They are a beautiful bright color.
LOL...ha, ha...when I was a teen, it meant Lots of Love. Since I started computering, it's meant Laughing Out Loud! Times change...and so do abbreviations!!
Margy, I think BEagle has either missed all our posts about her address, or she doesn't want to share it with us! Between the two of us, bet we've asked 7 or 8 times!
Jo, what time is the wedding?? What kind of reception are they having?
now I remember that I forgot, you all had to tell me last year that it meant laughing out loud
just getting old and forgetful not much with the program sometimes
LOL
thanks Paula, yes, have an extra three still.... I didn't know John was with EMS... probably did once, and didn't remember Bless Him, for his time with others' needs
Another beautiful night...let 5 more taddies turned wood frogs go this evening!
THANK YOU EMS PERSONNEL for all you do!
That's so sad about the baby lion. Tracey, my friend the vet tech saw the same thing happen to a dog. Very sad.
Ceil, do you happen to know if there is still a blue hyacinth macaw named Margaret at the aquarium?
JO....I hope you get some sleep tonight! Big day tomorrow and I pray all goes smoothly!
All five baby bluebirds fledged the nest by this afternoon! Hoping to see them bouncing around outside when I take a walk without the dogs in the AM!
Tonight is my very first night apart from Steve since we got married :( He's up at Deep Creek fishing.
My mother in law caleed about an hour ago. They got a late start today in the drive to FLA. They were on 77 just before Bluefield and she said there are zillions of white flowers blooming all over the place, so much so that from a distance it looks like snow! Anyone have any idea what it is?
Applause Applause Applause to all the EMS personnel that aid us in our emergencies! Love you all!
LOL for me means Laughing outloud.
I have a super camera club outing starting at 4:30 am Sunday morning and then my family coming in that night about 7 pm for 5 days. Tomorrow I will put the finishing touches on the whole of next week, well sort of, so really won't be on much to read or message. Whatever life holds for you over the next week I hope it is healthy and has many many times of happiness and lots of love not to be confused with laughing out loud but sometimes those go together very well . Very well indeed! LOL
Paula - thanks got your message on E-M from Ragdoll, will send out in the morning also have a copy going to Sunny
BEagle: could be you have the same glitch getting to our email through our blog... well, let me think.... I can go a quick exchange with you when I see you on here, and then delete anything right quick for privacy... don't you put yours on, but I will do mine. tomorrow sometime, I will be watching for you ☺ okay gonna hit the link for the radio blog talk and call it a night
Back from class. Actually, we got out at about 8:00, which was nice. The schedule says the class lasts until 10:00. The schedule allows an hour for supper, so we brought sandwiches and shortened our supper break to about 20 minutes. Then, we do a homework assignment so we can shave more minutes off the end time. Tomorrow, we'll start at 8:30 instead of 9:00, shorten the lunch break, and finish up early again.
There is supposed to be a job fair at the class location tomorrow. Last time they had a job fair there, 7,000 people showed up and the line was so long to get into the building that there were helicopters from the media flying overhead taking pictures. This is a Marine Corps job fair, and they do not expect that many to show up, but we may have to talk our way into the building so we do not have to wait in line to get inside. It could get interesting.
Must do homework. Gotta look up the SOLs so I can work them into my plans.
For tomorrow, we are supposed to take an artifact from our childhood to class. I happen to have World War II ration books with my name on them. I was one year old. History teachers have been salivating over them. Makes me feel good. Old, but good.
I have read parts of the blog, and I want to take a moment to say thanks to all of those EMS people out there.
Here you go: BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan brood, which he heads as diplomatically as he does the force, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases.
The sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), is a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family's "golden boy." However, unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a newly minted cop, a career change seemingly supported by his beautiful girlfriend, Sydney Davenport (Dylan Moore), a first year lawyer.
Jamie's life takes an abrupt turn, however, when he's asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family's legacy.
Time to turn off 'puter and hit the hay. We saw one of the foxes today at Chelsea office---hooray! I'm still waiting to see a family like 3 years ago, but if they're around, will be hard to see. They don't mow most of the field during summer now~~~"supposed to be home for wildlife!" Now if deer go thru, you only see their heads & ears! Oh well~~maybe I'll get a milk bottle ready in case we see any hungry Spotties again! ☺ Mema Jo, have a wonderful day & best wishes to the new bride & family!!! Gotta get up early, so Pleasant Feather Dreams ;>)
Lynne, sorry you are alone but just think how GREAT it will be when he returns. ☺
Had fun in Denton this evening. T-ball was fun. Jacob is so funny. Sometimes he is just kicking the dirt instead of paying attention to the game. lol At the end though, he was "pitcher". Well, in t-ball they stand on the pitchers mound. Anyway, the hit came to him, he got it, and ran to home, putting out the runner that was forced in to home. On the way out he said "Coach will want me to be pitcher tomorrow". Too funny! Then we went for ice cream at Baskin Robins. Yum!
Lynn, I think a 1951 passport is definitely historical.
Paula, I lived the cat-eagle video. I think the cat is lucky the eagle didn't try to taste her. The first kitty seemed quite nervous.
Speaking of kitties, mine has decided he must lie on the arm of my recliner--right where I like to put my mouse. I have had to move the mouse.
I hope I don't get lost in the crowd, either. I stopped to speak with the security officer on duty tonight, but she will not be there in the morning. Our professor told us to use our best teacher "looks" to get ourselves in. I think I look more like a schoolteacher than someone who wants to work for the Marines, but who knows?
Jo, hope you are sitting in your recliner. LOL I have this picture of you...sitting in your recliner with your hear wrapped in TP. ☺
Tomorrow a former student of mine is getting married too. I taught with his mom, she was the other kinder teacher. This is her first child to marry and they are all excited. He graduated from college two weeks ago.
Yes, the video of the young eagle and the cats was great. I laughed outloud when the second cat jumped to the railing and started stalking. So funny! I think the lady got nervous at that point.
Must go to bed. Have to get up early in the morning. I feel much more rested than I would have if I'd gone to work today. I was glad to see that they were able to get a sub for me. I was a bit worried about that because so many teachers were on the Kings Dominion trip.
Had a nice evening with the family at GG's. Jayden is just getting full of personality now:) GG excused herself about half way through the evening and went to bed. I love that she does that, rather than sit up and wish that we'd go home:) Photos on Just for Fun.
Parent which has some whitish on back on its left side just flew in with fish. Up Popped Palmer like a Jack In The Box yelling. She wants parent to feed her whick is now doing. Parent eating some. Spidey hasn't cleared out all the way yet, lower right hand corner to left of cam.
For Jo and Jo's gd When page comes up under name of some click videos then look on left side down page a pretty good size arrow pointing to right. Click on that there is song. Under lyrics
Palmer was over by the "flight deck" for a while. Now has gone to nesting area to lay down.
They keep moving the camera around on Isla. Even up into the blue sky. There is an opening and they just moved right into it. Now moving very close into chicks again. Still see two. Maybe that third in tucked in there.
About 1 1/2 - 2 minutes for blogger to post my comments.
Parent eagle just flew in and Palmer says, "no food I'm not getting up". I think this is Liberty moved a couple of sticks. I feel sure it is Liberty. About to flew out I think. There goes Liberty out of nest.
I see Isla's egg she is up!! Trying to see if it is cracked myself. They are moving camera all around like looking for a flew in because Isla is really yelling. I'm sure for food. Two cute bobble heads.
We have another flew in again Palmer didn't move. Stick either brought in or picked up and moved. This time it might be Belle. I'm checking it out?? Palmer is whining now but not getting up. You can hear the breaking of the sticks. Working on nest all around Palmer.
Isla is moving around the egg with her talons squezzed together so tightly. Lookiing around like "WHERE IS THAT MAN WITH THE FOOD!!!".
Don't know where everyone is. The way the blogger cop has been. I thinking I'll hit refresh one of these times and there will be all of you on here were you made comments lol
I've watched Palmer do wing exercisers and she is getting just alittle off the sticks.
Isla's mate brought in a big catch and she feed her two chicks. Definatley the 3rd not here yet.
Been trying to post into Vicky's brothers obituary. Again having trouble. Don't want to restart afraid the thing will start running BACKWARDS lol I'll keep trying and trying.
Dana on the obit link, there is a short time during which the comment needs to be "accepted"...not sure what your process is but if it "went" you should get an email telling you when it will be published. hope this helps
Best wishes for a good day everyone Hope work-school-play-relax time goes in good ways

Hedgie, Your new web-site is amazing. LOL
Yes, I will be praying for Vicki and her family at 1:00. I am already praying.
Lynn2, Sorry about your SIL, so sad. She is (and You) are so young. I don't know what Devic's Disease is, but I am going to look it up.
Costume Lady, If all goes well I am planning on being there on Friday Night in October. Yeah!!!
Good Morning To Everyone! Happy to hear all of you here this morning - lots of sunshine out there! I can always count on you Momsters!
was thinking something had happened.....cub did not look good the last few days.....

Good morning!
Loch of Lowes is hatching #2!!! Been going on all morning...slow process!
The radio interview that Steve did is with Larry Batson, the guy who along with his wife had the various species in the auditorium last fall.
That is too sad, Mits. Thanks for letting us know so fast. :<(
Obvious that Larry LOVES NCTC.
Wonder if he'll be back this fall.
LOL....I'm not sure anyone is home at BWE!!! Slewed cam angle doesn't help.....but unless they are way over to the right, the nest appears MT!!
Tian Tian is sitting in his pool, must be warm:)
Wonder where that Biosci cam is???? Any idea, Shirley? Cute falconettes!
T-bird,you need to take your laptop to work every day!!
Hearing Steve speak on the tape now about NCTC from Wild World hosted by Larry BGattson - Upcoming Open House event mentioned for 4th week Oct - Purpose and activities at NCTC - Training programs - Notary that visit NCTC - Programs presented for general public - Deer population -

Good morning Dana, Mema Jo, Hedgie, Ragdoll and Judie.
Yes Hedgie, that sounds like a winner.
Looking forward to our visit in June!!
Really sad about the lion cub. Such a freak accident.
Isla is feeding chick #1 at the Loch.
Oh, such sad news of Naba' baby lion cub. I feel for all those involved. More Prayers for hurting hearts.
This has been EMS Week....a big thanks to all emergency medical folks who work so hard to preserve and save lives!
Here's a link to the nature magazine that Larry Batson mentioned:

Been listening to the talk show. Great job, Steve! Can hardly wait for Open House, for many reasons.
Had the loon cam up while listening, got a little noisy there for a while.
Okay time to eat a bite and get busy.
Have a great day!
Thank you for letting us know it is EMS week. I didn't know. Yes, a very big THANK YOU to all with their hard work and their BIG HEARTS.

News just had the sad zoo report.
Since Steve gave this site's web address, we may get some new visitors on the blog!
Finally got the Loch of the Lowes cam through IE. Downloaded something on FF, but it still would not work there.
Sad to hear about the baby lion.
Palmer has been flapping her wings. Scares me. She's on the edge of nest and it doesn't look like she holds on the nest real tight like Hidey did. What would happen if she popped out of the nest. Would she be able fly?

I really like the Loch of the Lowe's cam. It is nice to have someone operating it so we can see events near the nest.
Must go get some chores done. BBL.
I was watching the crow cam yesterday, can't remember where I saw it......so much going on at Isla's nest today and the space walk too.....can't believe what time it is already
thanks, Dana, those zoo keepers are the best, always feel bad for them when something like this happens.
Aha! My customary single peony bloom IS opening this year! Love the smell of them.
Time for some lunch, and back out to work some more.

hugs and prayers across the miles for Vicky and all the family
Praying for Vicky and her family.
Hope the service gives them peace and comfort. Amen.
((((HUGS)))) VICKY♥
The sloth video is adorable. Sloths are very laid back animals. They eat and sleep. Most of the time high up in a tree. We have a mom and baby at the aquarium.
people who visit the zoo always have the sloths and the sloth bears confused.
Couldn't get on my computer at 1 pm. Prayed then and praying now. Hugs for her and family.
I wish we could see all of Palmer when she is at 12:00. Last year I was able to see Hidey at 12:00 Boo-Hiss
so very sorry to read of the loss of the little lion cub...
Helen, thinking of you especially and all your zoo co-workers
I'm using my favorite coffee mug of one soaring eagle and two fledged juveniles on branches
believe it is from the year I met Vicky, 2008
if not I can pretend it is so
baby kestrels in view

Prayers for Vicky and her family.
I am trying to get organized to get out of here before too much longer. Did not accomplish as much as I wanted to this morning, but did get a nice panda nap. Probably not a bad thing to do since I need to keep going this evening at class.

Palmer moving around now, after over an hour of quiet time perched on the edge of the nest
a true Momster she is...
I am back & I think my hair do is beautiful - Now just to be able to sleep on it and not be a bed head in the am. LOL
do you have any satin pillowcases Jo, that is supposed to help
am sure you will be stunning, either way
welcome home ♥
Thanks to Margie for sending this link to me and giving me the opportunity to post for
Vicky's Brothers Obituary
Jo, they also say you can loosely wrap your head with a long length of toilet paper...never tried it!!
Margy I have a very comfy recliner and I may just park there tonight! I sleep very well in it.
Thanks for the Obituary - It speaks well of Vicky's brother - sounds like someone you would loved to have met.
My feet are going up!
BBILW
there is an osprey in the nest at Finland, getting dark there
Thanks for the link, Glo and Margy.
Chick #2 at the Lowes --
Immediately got a fish to the head that had just been delivered and was flopping around. Good thing they're resilient! Man, I hope somebody got that on vid.
LOL nah Mema Jo needs satin not toilet paper. kidding guess it is what it is and you do what you got to do BUT get some rest for that wedding.
The flopping headless fish hopped across the nest onto the partially cracked/hatched 2nd egg and the fish went one way, the egg shell went another and what was left was a brand new baby osprey. CRAZY
Today is certainly a mixed emotions day.
2nd chick is a livewire!! He's wants attention! Way to go Isla and Boy Toy! Can't remember what Chrissy said they'd named him!
Hi everyone!
Steve, I enjoyed your talk but worry about the bandwidth still available since you gave out the address. ... just kidding really, we will enjoy sharing with newbies. This is an awesome site.
I've been here a little over a year now and can honestly say "I came for the eagles but stayed for the friends."
So sad about the lion cub.. must read some more
Well, Palmer is back at her 1:00 look out.
That Palmer is too daring! Wingercised herself from 1 o'clock to 11 and back again. Whew. scary!
I love you Judie -
Lynn years ago if going to a special event and hair was done the day before used toilet paper method. Hair went flat. LOL
Lynn, maybe just a hair net. Don't go by me though. I never wear one. Only if I am doing civil war reenacting with my Hubby. Then I wear a snood.
Well...I said I'd never tried the TP!!! LOL. I am ALWAYS a bedhead, no matter what! I think the recliner idea is probably the best one!!
Ragdoll, my cousin is a reenactor, too. She looks so cute with her snood!!
Long time ago read to keep a do for long hair pile it up and put it in a ponytail on top
never really did much good but keeps it out of the way
Camelot, perfect Judie, that's a good decree
Never knew I was from Frostburg Maryland until I started checking the site map
aw heck let's fact it, Momsters are beautiful all the time, as are the Dadsters handsome...it's the beauty within
what a beautiful thing that Paula's Michael did, the haircut for Locks of L♥ve,
that is so neat!
would like to take a moment here to remember all our Emergency Medical Services Personnel, during this, National Emergency Services Week, all active and retired, volunteer and paid, and those that have gone before us
Bravo for these selfless and tireless individuals....
Thank You !
when my eyeballs give out I will click on and listen to the Blog Radio talk...
Best wishes for a safe and happy evening, all

Aw...they said that as soon as Naba's milk dries up she will go back into estrus and mate again....that's encouraging. Her sister is mating as well.
My puter geek was at the zoo Sunday (sure that's why he forgot he was supposed to come here!) and he said they saw the lions mating. His little girl was carrying and loving a cute stuffed panda when they came Monday!
Margy.....what's this about you and Frostburg??
Hedgie, Back in those days women wore snoods to keep their hair out of their way.
My hair is just below chin length. I wear a snood even though it's short. My story is that my son was sick and I cut my hair and sold it to pay for a doctor. Now I am too old for it to be my son. Guess it will have to be my Grandson. LOL
not sure Hedgie but when I check the blog or nest one of the two, it says recent hits, and Frostburg shows up, when I am up in the middle of the night, figure it has to be me...
short time ago, were hits from Idaho, Hagerstown, and Novia Scotia
...have no idea how that works...
intended to add, before I signed off...
prayers for peace and comfort, especially for Vicky and anyone with troubles on their mind or in their heart
xo ♥
Need to make dinner. BBL ^..^
That's funny, Ragdoll! Whatever works...yep, gs or gd!
Margy, I've never yet seen Hedgesville show up on that thing! Now I know what you meant.
Lynn I have seen Hedgesville
But never Middletown (I think I might be Frederick)
Night Margy
I love you back, Jo.
Dinner over. Tired now. Will be back later to check up and say goodnight.
As the world turns - Thurmont made our map and also Poco WV
Now how about that! I'm minus my cheet sheet but I know who is Thurmont and I think BEagle is Poco WV...
But I could be soooo incorrect!
Just saw Phoenix do a really good poop shoot
I keep forgetting that NBG cam shuts down around 7pm
Noah is in Virginia. She has made her way to where lots of eagles congregate. (2 hrs ago)
past week birthday girl is from Poca Jo...first name begins with a C
☺
Love that address list Bird Girl made up for us
but if Martinsburg is Frostburg, who knows it really is
Palmer looks like a little jet airplane
Oh I just spend a lot of time with that list, just about go nuts when I misplace it!
neighbor lady wants to see my new Goodwill jewelry box, think it's time for a little visit
love the hair tale Ragdoll, and the computer whiz's Sunday's zoo visit tale Lynn...
funny, used LOL in an email to my older brother, he also thought as I did, that it meant lots of love...
lol ☺
xo love you folks
Whoops Time for me to go see some TV
Might only be watching the 9:00 show
Medium....... I would like to see them rescue someone out of an alligator on Miami Medical!
Applause Applause Applause

us in our emergencies! Love you all!
took a privacy double take there
that was my delete
still hoping that BEagle will click on my profile and send me an email, have a few copies left thanks to Suz of the NCTC article to send out...

Jo just want to say have a great time at the wedding tomorrow. Will be busy tomorrow with Aquarium, a recital, block party and exhaustion.
Lynn I am watching the Washington/Oriole game as I finish a paper on a poison dart frog
Palmer is all tired out.
Magpie, if you have another extra I would love to have one? Please
Ceil - don't you let those frogs 'dart'
you! You have a full day tomorrow and you'll love every minute of it until your head hits the pillows!
I'll let you know how my day goes....
too fast I bet!
I think that lol is usually used as
'Lots of Laughs' I think
It all depends to whom you address with it and by what you are saying.
I use loL for 'lots of love'
Now I am going to TV for 9:00
BBILW
LOL always meant to me Laughing out loud
Jo the frogs are no longer poison. It is what they ate in the wild. A specific insect made them poisonous. They are a beautiful bright color.
Sorry to hear about the baby lion.
A black bear ran across the road in front of a friend of mine...one the way to Waynesboro...about 10 minutes from here.
Jo, excited for your family tOmorrow, weddings are always fun!
Going to have to look up the word 'snood'.
Yay for EMS workers...my son John is one.
Ragdoll, if you click on my name and go to my blog page, you can send me an email, and I will pass it along to Margy.
lol....has always been "laughing out loud" to me...I sure would not be sending it to my male friends if it meant anything else.
Thanks to all the EMT/EMS/911 workers. We need and love you all.
Noah, welcome to Va. We love eagles!
Glad I'm not headed to WV tonight 'cause I don't know the difference between Martinsburg and Frostburg except, I guess Frostburg is colder.
Ceil and Jo, wishing you both a lovely day tomorrow.
Turning my light out but will leave the night light on for others coming in. Pleasant eagle dreams for all.
now I remember that I forgot, you all had to tell me last year that it meant laughing out loud
just getting old and forgetful
not much with the program sometimes
LOL
thanks Paula, yes, have an extra three still....
I didn't know John was with EMS...
probably did once, and didn't remember
Bless Him, for his time with others' needs
Noah is in VA...awesome!
Still listening to the radio show...have to check out Larry's site as well.
Judie, FYI: Frostburg is in MD!!! Western MD----where it always snows!! Home of Frostburg State U. Sent you that rib recipe I promised via email.
Good evening all!
Best wishes for a wonderful Saturday, so many different important plans
Jo especially have you and your family in mind
hoping that Vicky is doing okay
With Love and Prayers
God Bless Us, Every One
xo
we have Oxy-eye daisy and fleabane out here Lynne, maybe those
the Southern Delegation probably knows
thinking of you on your first night alone without Steve...
xo
Almost through the radio show, sorry Steve, Palmer will be gone before June 20th.
Welcome to all of our lurking newbies!
You can zoom in on that revolver map...lots of people watching!
Applause Applause Applause
to all the EMS personnel that aid
us in our emergencies! Love you all!
LOL
Check out this video!
Cat and curious eagle
Well, Maryland/West Virginia -- Frostburg sounds COLD! lol (laughing our loud) and (lots of love, too).
Paula, so very nice that your son donates his hair for cancer patients. You must be very proud of him.
Okay, really leaving this time. Night light is on.
I can see Palmer and her 2 feetsies through the web.
Paula - thanks got your message on E-M from Ragdoll, will send out in the morning also have a copy going to Sunny
BEagle: could be you have the same glitch getting to our email through our blog...
well, let me think....
I can go a quick exchange with you when I see you on here, and then delete anything right quick for privacy... don't you put yours on, but I will do mine.
tomorrow sometime, I will be watching for you ☺

Paula that is a great video of the cats and the eagle. Thanks Loved when the eagle spread its wings
Thank you Paula for sharing Cats/Eagle. Wow!!!! That's pretty amazing.
Heading off to bed. Busy day in my flower gardens tomorrow. Fun-Fun-Fun
Prayers for all needs and wants. Floating eagle feather dreams.
Good Night ^..^
Paula - the Eagle and the Curious Cat was a jewel to capture on video.
Hi,
Back from class.
For tomorrow, we are supposed to take an artifact from our
childhood to class. I happen to have World War II ration books with my name on them. I was one year old. History teachers have been salivating over them. Makes me feel good. Old, but good.
I have read parts of the blog, and I want to take a moment to say thanks to all of those EMS people out there.
Be back after homework is done.
WhooHoo---new Tom Selleck series on CBS this fall! Hope it is good....did I ever tell you I LOVE Tom Selleck???
That's the greatest news for tonight, Lynn. I love him too!
Shirley - your class sounds interesting - hope you learn and enjoy!
just got to the Peace Talk part of the radio blog show
did ambulance standby duty during part of that time.....Hedgesville sent an ambulance to Shepherdstown's fire station
my brother age 70 remembers dropping the bag of sugar which was sorely rationed during WW II,
I agree Shirley, sounds like a really neat project
I need some beauty sleep....
Heading back the hallway
Good Night All
Prayers for All to have Peace & Comfort
(((hugs))) ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Lots of Love to All !
Did someone say TOM SELLECK???? Where/when/what????
Ceil, good luck on your test tomorrow....know you will do fine. Interesting subject!
Shirley, hope you don't get lost in the crowd tomorrow!! Enjoy the rest of the course. I have my 1951 Passport...is that historical?? LOL!
Wonder when Andy gets back from Tahoe? Bet she heads back to class next week. The ACE queen!!
Cool video, Paula! Looks like Alaska....???? Juvie was doggone lucky the cats didn't decide to taste him!!!
neat radio show
Good Night, All
Hope Sleep is Sweet
xo
Lynn - I thought Alaska as well!
Hitting the hay, heading to an early Tball game, then to work.
Catch ya'll tomorrow!
Hugs to all ♥
Lynne and Jo---show is called Blue Bloods....on Friday nights at 10....about a cop family....looking for more info!
Here you go:
BLUE BLOODS is a drama
about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement.
Heading for tub. Will check back before I tuck myself in...still wish Chrissy would pop on or answer email about her visit with Iris!!!
thanks Lynn, sound interesting!
I'm heading for bed, although I don't think I'm going to sleep well....
Prayers for all and have a good night!
Mema Jo, have a wonderful day & best wishes to the new bride & family!!!
Yum!
Homework done!
Forgot to mention I post a pic sent to me by daughter on their CA travels.
I meant to say I loved the video.
Nite Shirley! I am heading to the shower and bed myself! It has been a fun day. Grand kids are the best!
Nite all!
Sweet dreams! Prayers for Vicky and family.
Thanks for posting the pic, Loretta! Left a message for you to give her!
Wanda, are you lurking???
Goodnight, Loretta, Shirley and Lolly! As well as all who have already gone!
Goodnight all. Prayers for all.
Paula, loved the cats and the eagle video.
Must say goodnight now and pleasant dreams.
A sunshiny day tomorrow for Jo's gd's wedding and anyone else celebrating.
Prayers for all needs/wants.
♥♥♥
Had a nice evening with the family at GG's. Jayden is just getting full of personality now:)
GG excused herself about half way through the evening and went to bed. I love that she does that, rather than sit up and wish that we'd go home:) Photos on Just for Fun.
GOOD NIGHT DEAR FRIENDS
SAYING PRAYERS FOR ALL
Good Morning to All Coming into Eagle land.
Parent which has some whitish on back on its left side just flew in with fish. Up Popped Palmer like a Jack In The Box yelling. She wants parent to feed her whick is now doing. Parent eating some. Spidey hasn't cleared out all the way yet, lower right hand corner to left of cam.
For Jo and Jo's gd
When page comes up under name of some click videos then look on left side down page a pretty good size arrow pointing to right. Click on that there is song. Under lyrics
Jo's gd wedding
Palmer enjoyed some breakfast. I think some of the fish flew out of nest when parent just left.
Good morning eagle momsters and dadsters.
Good Morning Thelma ( :
How is the weather your way?
Palmer enjoyed breakfast and is now relaxing in spirit and thoughts. hee hee
Looks as if Isla may have a third chick but can't tell for sure. Another egg shell just in front of her -- wasn't there late yesterday.
Palmer admiring the scenery.
Ceil, good luck with the test today. Gonna ace it!
Shirley, enjoy your class. If I were asked to bring in an artifact to class, I would only need to show up.
Jo, wishing a beautiful day and an even more beautiful gd wedding ceremony.
Wanda, good you had a nice evening with GG AND that she does what many of us wish we could do with guests -- say goodnight and mean it.
Off to find coffee and newspaper.
They are doing a close up on Isla to see how many chicks are there. I know there are two but not sure yet of three. WHAT A LADY!
Good Morning Judie I know you left to enjoy coffee and newspaper. Still wanted to say hello.
This computer is running slow--hee hee I guess we fit together right now.
Ceil a test prayers you ace it.
It was good know I was with everyone and Vicky and family yesterday. Continued prayers.
Wanda looks like Friday at GG's
was nice family time.
Hi Dana and Thelma. I stopped back for a minute to check Isla. Camera operator trying his/her best to give us an answer. Going to check again.
Nope, no third chick yet. Clearly saw the egg when she stood up. Looks like it's in the process. Maybe later today.
Good Morning Eagle ♂'s and ♀'s
Dana
