I was so excited receiving the email from Suzanne about BW chick she spoted! YAHOO! I think the season despite the snow, sleet and rain is OFF TO A EXCELLENT START this First Day Of March.
GOOD A.M.EAGLE BUDDIES---MEMA JO & MITS---You all watching for "little eagles"-----Beautiful SUNNY day here so far----SUZANNE always brightens the day!---STEVEN is back too!!---GREAT NEWS---REALLY MISSED YOU!!---Going to read yesterday's blog---
Yes Suzanne actually I am back. I am saving picks from Blackhawk. I have the first pic that we sort of all 3 saw together this morning with the first sign of fuzz or ? baby on it ,
but then of course it was coffee time. If you would like to send that and others you have taken while I was doing coffee and dog treats LOL I always appreciate and love to have them. I will definitely have BW featured on the FTLOE (For the love of eagles BLOG tonight) well unless I( lose power againtoday for who knows how long. More terrible weather headed my way.
GLO I hope you are laughing with me after you read your last post-- It does get pretty darn exciting on here when eggs are laid and chicks are hatched. We need a Bloopers page on which all of us would have at least one entry if not two or three.
If Norfolk doesn't soon get their cam operating - we are going to be too late to see any chicks hatch. They'll probably have a full nest of chicks once the cam is back up.
I love the video of the NE egg being laid. Like I said, Never saw such a happy couple..
YOU FOLKS certainly have had an EXCITING DAY yesterday---I guess I'll never get caught up---ANIMAL PLANET---had a show----about penguins---they did the same thing---would remove the egg--leave wooden egg--took the eggs to an incubator to hatch----then slowly moved them back in the nest----But these are on MT. TOPS---Very exciting---I read (think it was SHARPE'S) story about how he approached the eaglets to band them---Unbelievable!!
OK Jo Are you insinuating I don't know where I am or what I'm doing. GREAT LOL...I wouldn't have gone back and even noticed except for your little heads up...shall I delete now...probably will don't want folks trying to find that Blackhawk baby LOL. But Blackhawk State Park is like 2 miles form here, I always have to shuffle that by my brain to get to Blackwater. I too so wish Norfolk would be back on; must be a serious problem as they have always been up and running so very quickly....I love the job they have been doing over there. Come on Norfolk fix that cam.
Suzanne Yes yes if you have pictures starting that early please please send them Thank You Thank You.
ALso I too thought lots about you and your dental procedure, been too busy with eagles to say so. Welcome back...you were missed....Hope you get to feeling top shape again very quickly (((((Suzanne)))))
Suzanne if I miss you going home. Thanks for all the fun this morning gal. Sending me the wonderful capture of a just hatched chick. That pic is in my memory bank of pics that just comes up now and again. ty ((hugs))
GLO Don't you dare take time to delete... Probably no one even knew what we were talking about. I thought instead of flying like an Eagle that you now were going up in the Blackhawk chopper! lol
I hate to leave but I have a morning appointment. I am certain I will have detailed remarks of the happenings while I am gone. Be back early afternoon.
well Suzanne I have decided we have all gotten pretty good at computereze...now we will be learning eagleeze cause definitely don't think or type any better at all when that eagle stuff starts to happen LOL.
Hello dear friends, I have been battling migraines a few days now. But I am thrilled with Suzanne pics today of new chick. Also got to see my Ewiees at the osprey nest. Are mits and I the only two who like Ewwwiiess? BBL donna
From Dr Sharpe: The Two Harbors nest, occupied by a 9-year-old male (K-81) and a 9-year-old female (K-82) laid their first egg on 2/27. With the angle of the camera and the depth of the egg cup, it is unlikely that we will see the eggs until we go to switch them early next week. You will be able to view this switch on-line. Whoo Hoo - another switch..........
I feel very fortunate that I got a brief glimse of the egg before it went into the nest bowl. For once I was in the right place at the right time, as I was with NE:):):). Paula, I'm still going to keep a close look at the Maine eagles, I have gotten really attached to them, because of the live-feed and the sounds that they make.
MITS---Been reading about the CATALINA GROUP----When will they collect these eggs---I thought I read from the blog that it would be tomorrow---I noticed they had posted the birth at BW----
Norma, they will not be going back to West End, til the chicks have hatched from the eggs. Paula might have the heads up as to when they will be going to 2 Harbors to collect their egg/eggs, but I don't think it will be before next week. But I just don't know enough about there sites. For some reason can't get into their forum this afternoon.
and Norma if you want to see NE actually lay the egg about the same time all this was happening at west end you can go to my For the Love of Eagles BLOG...it is at the end of Part 2 of the egg exchange for WE which is also there. You probably actually got a FeedBlitz for that in your email this morning.
Nothing happening when I was up there. Hope VA comes on tomorrow. I guess I could go read somewhere on their site as to the hatching of any chicks yet. Be back
This morning neither Yahoo or anything they sponsor...blog or weather...was running in this area; although I exchanged Instant Messages with Uncle Dan in Sioux City, who was in the middle of a blizzard, and Yahoo was working there.
Long story, short...it's working tonight, but I'm home too late to see much except BW (really bright, active looking first chick) and NCTC.
Lot of exciting developments in Eagle Land...keep the good reports coming.
Tenting in the rain at Shepherdstown. I need your prayers again, please, as I just returned from Winchester where Tom will be treated for a serious infection in his knee. Thank goodness for eagles!
I made my way back - I thought I had gotten lost. Watched all 3 videos and enjoyed them very much. Now I want to see what the lipstick glasses saw.
Sandra I am sure there are days that you think that nothing else could go wrong that hasn't already! My prayers for Tom are being said and I also am praying for you. Are you saying that Tom is staying in the hospital & receiving treatment?
I emailed Jason at beakspeak that the first chick had arrived at BW. Wondering if he'll post it. I told him that the list of nests with eggs was going to be too long to publish.
Paula as soon as our first egg hatches are you going to close the poll? If you don't, then I can jump in there and change my vote to be more accurate.... lol I wouldn't do that - not Mema.
Oh me, oh my!! What a busy little eagle day today!! I have seen some of the pics of the new little one. Also got the email about the season starting again for the peregrine falcons in PA. Hopefully things will settle down for me to enjoy all of this.
Mommy was still feeling pretty sick today. Please continue to keep her in your prayers!!
Good Morning all. Hope your day goes well with lots of grreat eagle, panda and falcom viewing. Suzanne I hope you had a chance to see what I did with yesterdays pictures from BW. Had a really fun time making last nights Loop...thanks again for your contributions. great to have an early bird on board.
Looks like food supply at bW is off to a good start today too. Still blowing and snowing here but I made it through the night with my powere still on...so glad. Time for this to all go away!!!! Speaking of which MaMa NE is looking pretty snowy herself. Doesn't make me cry like it did when I saw Belle like that but not very enjoyable to watch either. Maybe curiosity will watch for a switch or whatever since we haven't seent aht done live int he snow yet. OK Have a good day.
Just got finished reading comments from where I left yesterday. I do truly thank all of you that commented. I really appreciate it very much. I thought I'd be back on but couldn't do it. Yet reading all your comments I feel like I am up-to=date again ty ((hugs))
Thanks Suzanne actually as I signed into BW page just now I saw that Yep I was surprised. Glad she liked the Loop...So so cute when they are freshly hatched like that and seeing their MaMas and PaPas for the first time. PAULA any news out of SC yet??????
No new news, Mits. Although we were talking they probably laid their egg around Mar 8th last year. May not see an egg there till next week.
Thanks, Paula, love watching them and weather wise it seems fairly calm there today.
PAULA, do you think we had a false alarm at MAINE last night???:):):)
I went on the Maine forum. They say it's a false alarm, too. I offered my sympathies :) Believe the same thing happened to us!
The new chick at BW is a beautiful sight---We haven't seen that for a long time!----Do you all think the EAGLES at ME are nesting?
Not yet, Norma, last night was a false alarm.

Norma, they will not be going back to West End, til the chicks have hatched from the eggs. Paula might have the heads up as to when they will be going to 2 Harbors to collect their egg/eggs, but I don't think it will be before next week. But I just don't know enough about there sites. Our cam seems to be having a little problem just now.
Ok, finally came back.
If you notice the 'tenting' it is raining a bit in this area.
Be back soon - placing some of todays shots from Mits in album.
I guess everything this morning hour was from BW. Just wait - we'll have our 'chick' turn..........
Photos in album on Momsters for today
Lisa has new pics of the chick on BW
Mits, they look like the ones you took.
I see we have a tenting eagle :)
Sorry I missed the live feed and the big fish!
THANK YOU, JO:)!
PAULA, The live-feed went down just as the big fish arrived, but I sent JO the pics for the Momster Album:).
No eagles but cam #3 is working again at KENT
But Paula did you see the Ravens???
That was something else according to the pics I am seeing.
I think Grey's is a repeat
I got video :) Was pretty awesome. Waiting on youtube to process.
Mits - what is going on in ME tonight.Should I go see?
Those are great pics at BW. That eaglet is just too cute! I can't wait!!! Maybe end of next week, beginning of week after.
On Momsters it is pretty cool how the poll was set up on the hatching of egg 3. My name popped right out there.
I just put up SC nest & it was really weird... Large black screen and right smack dab in the middle was the white head of the eagle...........lol
I see that the KENT has all 3 cameras up & running.........no eagles...
Time for me to go and play some games for relaxation................BBL
Yes, PAULA, Greys' is a repeat and ER will not be back on til sometime is April
All seems quiet at Maine tonight, JO.
What! No ER either! Grrrr....
Gonna go update the blog. BRB.
Nothing happening when I was up there. Hope VA comes on tomorrow. I guess I could go read somewhere on their site as to the hatching of any chicks yet. Be back
Paula, it will be back on with all new episodes on April 12th:(:(.
Norfolk Cam: The first egg was on Jan 31 - so hatching within the week I would suppose.

“Technical Difficulties”
The Norfolk Botanical Garden has had some general equipment problems that have caused a temporary blackout of the EagleCam. The Garden is working hard to correct these issues and should have new equipment in place sometime tomorrow.
We should be back up before the eggs start to hatch! Thanks for your patience.
This is about the same thing your email from them said, Mits.
So, Friday or Saturday are the likely dates of the 2nd hatching at BW.
EGGxectly, JO!
Looks like they posted that right after they replied to my e-mail, another team on the ball like Lisa.
Lady B looks awake, she should be resting while she can, going to check their radar.
Not raining in Cambridge.
Got the raven videos posted. Still waiting on one more of Barton's Cove, got a nice fly out and fly in and the egg. Just click on my name or go to:
eagletmomsters.blogspot.com
Ok Paula - not sure I know about Barton's Cove..........
Good evening, All...
Jim
Tenting in the rain at Shepherdstown. I need your prayers again, please, as I just returned from Winchester where Tom will be treated for a serious infection in his knee. Thank goodness for eagles!
Video from Dr Sharpe's sunglass cam of his climb to the West End nest.

Jo, Barton's Cove is NE
And it is on the blog now, too.
Sandy,
Hope those medications take hold quick!
"On Momsters it is pretty cool how the poll was set up on the hatching of egg 3. My name popped right out there. "
Jo, I did this so I knew who voted on what date for the third egg hatching so they can get their prize!
Sandra, I saw 4 magnets you would love to have at dinner last night at the cracker barrel. Rosters! One was almost identical to your pic.
I emailed Jason at beakspeak that the first chick had arrived at BW. Wondering if he'll post it. I told him that the list of nests with eggs was going to be too long to publish.
Paula as soon as our first egg hatches are you going to close the poll? If you don't, then I can jump in there and change my vote to be more accurate.... lol
I wouldn't do that - not Mema.
Blackwater video from today
http://www.youtube.com/
watch?v=se7AxHhFQto
Oh, Sandra, so sorry about Tom, will be in my prayers.
Paula, you are a busy beaver...the videos are EGGcellent. Heading over to see the good DR. S now/
Jo, you went to Crackel Barrel...my favorite place to eat and shop:).
I'll probably close the poll before the first hatching (I hope). I'll send out an email reminding everyone to hurry up and vote before I close it.
Man, this fat free pudding is not as good as the real stuff,,,not chocolately enough!
BW video from today by Sharon Feeney was very good.
Dr Sharpe's video of the climb was fabulous!!! Did you see all that
poop shoot on the rocks? lol
Hi There Sharon. For sure your mom is in my prayers.
Over to emails - brb

Looks like food supply at bW is off to a good start today too. Still blowing and snowing here but I made it through the night with my powere still on...so glad. Time for this to all go away!!!! Speaking of which MaMa NE is looking pretty snowy herself. Doesn't make me cry like it did when I saw Belle like that but not very enjoyable to watch either. Maybe curiosity will watch for a switch or whatever since we haven't seent aht done live int he snow yet. OK Have a good day.
Morning, Suz and Dana.
