Nice to see the sun shining in MD and VA, there were just 2 adults in Norfolk, chicks getting a bite to eat....looks like lots of good bloody stuff around the nest...NOrma was right, their nest is a mess!! LOL
And the weather in MAINE is awful, maybe NCTC should consult with the cam people in Maine, Channel Islands, Kent, BW on how to keep the cam working in inclement weather....JMHO:)
HI PAULA & MITS----I think that JAMES RIVER FALCON is just BEAUTIFUL----She has those enticing EYES like the Australian Falcon----I didn't see the eggs??------MEANWHILE---BACK AT THE RANCH----Do we have TWO---JIM'S pics seems to show that---DANA & GLO have GREAT PICS too!---Haven't checked any others---

THANKS PAULA---GREAT VIDEO!!---Kept waiting for the photographers to get hit by a BIG 16 WHEELER--ho!---Not sure about the # of wheels--ho!---The EAGLET looked so sad when MOM flew away!---
Good Late Morning Checked my emails and other cams. Disappointed as to what I see on our cam screen. I need to see the snow melting and get a look into that egg well. Jim's enhanced photo from yesterday is very interesting...There very well could be 2 little chicks down under - at least date wise!
Thanks Steve for the new thread and happy to hear you made it home safely thru the storm. I sure hope the cam gets reset because we think there are chicks for us to see!
ME is having a worst storm then what we did - that wind sounds like it could blow her out of the nest. Can't get the NE up right now. Sidney nest looks nice and warm I don't see any eaglets down in the Cape Coral nest either, Mits. Not sure of their age - never saw a blog down there. Channel Is nests are all secured! Do you all think or know from viewing that the pic on our cam is frozen from early morning?
LOL, today was the first day ever I could get the CC nest to come up...other times it would hang up and wouldn't do anything! And the eaglets are gone! It figures!!
VIRGINIA LADY feeding 3 little ones---Such a DELIGHT to watch those little ones---one pecked the other---agressive little "devils" aren't they?-----could watch all day----
Going to hit the showers, maybe our cam will come up when I'm gone.......Jo, it may have happened sometime during the night, because she is in a different position then when I shut down last night, but some people were up during the night looking in, so maybe they can give us a time-line, but its down and, "it is what it is".
WOW!---JO was correct---Check ME EAGLE---HEAVY WIND & VERY COLD WEATHER---Our EAGLES have it "made in the shade" compared to THEIRS! 17° below last week----
Read Dana's prayer on the other thread - Thank you Dana. Laughing with you Mauley You did what I was tempted to do last night before I signed off! But the Blooger Cop was after us gals last night for singing too loud, so I didn't take 10 comments to get the wax. LOL
Don't give up on the CC site yet... the chicks are pretty big but I don't think they are quite ready to fledge and I haven't even seen them branch-hopping to practice. Just saw both chicks in the nest, plus one adult.
Good afternoon dear friends, I have decided to pack my bags and come to shepherdstown. I have a friend who works for the power company and I am going to steal (that is withdraw from circulation) his climbing cleats, shucks, I just might get his cherry picker, too. I am going to climb that sycamore tree and see if we have new babies. Now all of you get in line and we will go together. We will draw straws who goes first but first we get fresh fish for offerings and Sharon gets to set up her umbrella. Who is going with me. donna
I will stay behind and get you all out of jail after you steal the equipment and trespass on government land. Hey somebody has to do it. LOL. Be sure to take lots of pictures and remember your window of opportunity is very small. Whose the fastest????
I knew I could get someone to go. Who is youngest? It has to be mits. In all seriousness, I sure would like to see OUR nest. I love all the cams and I am thankful that we as a nation are finally realizing the majesty of our great country's symbol. God gave us dominion over His creation and He expects us to be good stewards of it. Please God help get our cam fixed. We would appreciate it so much, right Momsters? BBL donna
Vicky I think you might be right. I know she sure has a lot of stamina. She is very workiefied, too. SHaron, I don't think workiefied is a word, but my daddy used to use it as a adjective for folks who could really get things done. Since floral girl is "workiefied" she is on the list. If Glo could get out the wet noodle and Mits help out, I bet Mema Jo would be sure to try to get us out of jail, Would we get SuzANNE and Steve in big trouble? There are lots of young women on here, some Dadsters, too. I used to think it would be a break to go to jail (when all of my children were very young) but my husband always said when young mothers got put in jail they had to take their kids with them and I was stupid enough to believe him. LOL
I have had little sleep the past two nights so I guess I am a little slap happy. B ut I wanted to tell you young girls the secret of a long marriage. DH and I have b een married 38 years, see we had this written agreement that the first one who left HAD to take the kids, so there was no way one of us would leave. LOL again. BBL donna
Good evening. Just came home from seeing "Wild Hogs". What a funny movie. Loved it and laughed hard. Needed that. Getting ready to go back out. Be back a little after 7. Hope everybody is well today.
Okay everybody, I am going to be using my comcast email again for a few days until frontier gets the bugs out of their servers. It is taking me sometimes a day to receive email from people and that is aggravating.
That camera has really stymied us about every weekend so far this season...guess it's really the winter weather, but............
I don't suppose some of you ladies, who live near the nest, would take binoculars and cameras with long telephoto lenses, brave the frozen wastes of WV and pneumonia to see if Liberty and Belle are feeding chicks yet and whatever else is visible on-site??!
I don't even know if it is possible in the snow and ice ... just trying to brainstorm a little.
I'm fairly satisfied from yesterday's pics that there are two hatchlings now, and the third egg probably won't hatch until at least the 19th.
I think I'm going to call it a day for this purpose...see you all tomorrow bright and early.
I actually think that all 3 chicks will be sitting there waiting to make their debut when our cam comes up - probably Monday sometime! It is depressing - anxiety attack coming on. I think that is Spirit up on the limb and just maybe Star could be down in the nest. Guess we'll know when daylight comes. Glad the stormy weather in ME & at NE nest have calmed down. Couldn't get the NE nest up all day or yesterday - they say the weather will affect their cam.
It may be the effect of the BW infra red on the Osprey nest but it looks as though some grasses may have been brought in. It just doesn't look like it did with all the sticks.
morning all! Jim, if you want to buy me a camera with a long telephoto lens so I can take pics of the nest, I'll send you my mailing address.LOL- later- off to work for a little.
LOL, Mits, Perfect description - better than bedraggled!
Jim, I was thinking about it, but alas, no telephoto lense. Not sure my binocs would be enough and probably too much snow to be able to sit alongside the road,.
I would go but I don't think my lens is enough. I have never been there so I don't know how far from the road the nest is. Anybody up for a trip to Shepherdstown to show me where to go?
Good Morning Yep, I saw Rodett this morning. Wish I could get the NE cam up- wanted to check out that snow eagle. I am sure our eagle family is ok - I would like to know HOW LARGE IS OUR EAGLE FAMILY
Well, I can't stay very long. I am headed to Hedgesville WV - opposite direction of Shepherdstown.. for an unusual type of wedding shower. It is a Seed Shower - Holly is giving us seeds to plant for flowers that will be blooming & used at their outdoor wedding in July. Like Mits said, what ever happened to linens, mixers, blenders and the like? I do think it is a unique idea - but then what else would I expect from a unique grandson?
It is sad to see the cam frozen up at a crucial moment...no "Kodak moment" for sure.
Last night I processed the pic where Belle is clearing the snow from her wings, exposing the contents of her nest, through PictureIt again. I cropped and enlarged the egg cup area and tried to make it clearer...I am 100% sure the two shapes closest to the camera are NOT eggs.
They could be potatoes, but it is more likely that they are young hatchlings with heads and with wings tightly held against their bodies...
Thanks for the info Jim. I sure do wish we could see the cam today. I would love to see the camera issue resolved permanently and I don't mean turned off.
Bob When I view your photos from BW I always do a slideshow and I can always get the feeling that I am just up there soaring with those majestic eagles.
Paula & Megan went down to the Eagle Festival on the 11th - They thought they spotted the Golden Eagle. Have you ever been fortunate to get any shots of him?
Oh Yes, I also always look for any new shots of Katie, Bridget or Bonnie! Love them!
Thanks - The last three at Pickering Creek are of an immature bald eagle who seemed to be following the mature eagle in the first shot. I've never been lucky enough to see a golden.
Paula You're right about the immature eagle pics...Bob also came back with that info. I thought you and Megan said something about a golden eagle...... What were you 2 referring to?
When we were at BW, there had been a golden eagle there that week. He was spotted during the eagle festival, and we were not sure whether we saw it on the way out of the refuge or not. A little hard to see at sunset, but it was in the group of trees it had been spotted in earlier in the day, and we coulnd't figure out what else it was.
I remembered your sunset pics and that way over up in the tip top of the tree - you mentioned Golden Eagle. But what you were saying is that he was just flying thru! ok

Nice to see the sun shining in MD and VA, there were just 2 adults in Norfolk, chicks getting a bite to eat....looks like lots of good bloody stuff around the nest...NOrma was right, their nest is a mess!! LOL
PS, all 3 at VA are looking good!
Thanks for the heads up, Paula.
Steve, we were wondering if the live feed is still working inside at NCTC?
Eagles are looking remarkabley dried out already :)
REPEAT OF WHAT I SAID ON OLD BLOG....JAMES RIVER BRIDGE FALCON HAS 5 EGGS She is so pretty too. Howling winds up in Maine.
Dawn is breaking at KENT, and Star is in the nest.
SHARON, you have mail, but I don't know if you are getting it?
Can't wait to see if STAR has a surprise for us.
Both are in the nest at KENT.
Feeding at BW, Chicks looking good there too
Spirit left Star still there.
Eagle in Maine has head tucked down. Eagle at NE looks like ours, nest full of snow.
Are they ever going to put that 3 cam page on the website?
I think Loraine will do updates on that site when an egg is laid, just a guess.
You have the 3 cams link, don't you, Paula?
Yes, I do, Mits. Was just checking out their page to see if it had been updated
Went through all the cams on my links page...every cam is up and running except ours.
GOOD A.M. EAGLE BUDDIES---THANKS STEVEN----We really--really- needed the NEW THREAD---"TOP OF THE MORNIN' TO YA"!
And the weather in MAINE is awful, maybe NCTC should consult with the cam people in Maine, Channel Islands, Kent, BW on how to keep the cam working in inclement weather....JMHO:)
Hello, Norma.
Osprey at BW, doing a little nest work.
HI PAULA & MITS----I think that JAMES RIVER FALCON is just BEAUTIFUL----She has those enticing EYES like the Australian Falcon----I didn't see the eggs??------MEANWHILE---BACK AT THE RANCH----Do we have TWO---JIM'S pics seems to show that---DANA & GLO have GREAT PICS too!---Haven't checked any others---
Its all speculation at this point, Norma, until, if and when the cam ever gets working properly.
OH---The "Little Prince" has his back to his admirers & "wolfing" down the BAMBOO---He must think they are going to take it away from him---ho! ho! (last time I checked)---
No egg at KENT.
WELL MITS----I guessed that & figured they might "fledge" before we see them on "our cam"!!!
You could be correct, Norma.
I think it's most interesting watching the OSPREY'S build their nest-----Will learn more about them---They are AWESOME birds too!!
The osprey are beautiful birds, it will be fun to watch them restore the nest. I have not see any osprey up in Connecticut or New Hampshire yet.
All gone at KENT.
Found a video of the Llano TX eagles. This is the other nest w/ 3 adults.

Feeding time at VA.
Well, Norma, there are plenty of pics on the momsters site too.
I like the way ospreys look like they are wearing white stockings.
They are looking good in VA, nice and strong.
GLO has a great video showing how "affectinate" the VIRGINA COUPLE seem to be---They were touching bills--preening each other etc.---Of course LIBERTY & BELLE could be doing the same & we wouldn't know it---ho! ho!---SORRY----MY COMPUTER has been giving me fits & I can't see the CAM!---
I checked in on CT the other day....saw a heron feeding down below, but nothing in the nest yet.
I never noticed that Paula, I'll have to check them out. Sure the North East osprey are a few weeks behind the eastern shore ones.
Sounds like that nest in Llano is near a busy road, Paula.
THANKS PAULA---GREAT VIDEO!!---Kept waiting for the photographers to get hit by a BIG 16 WHEELER--ho!---Not sure about the # of wheels--ho!---The EAGLET looked so sad when MOM flew away!---
Think there was just a switch at VA, someone just took off.
18 wheels, Norma:):).
I think the juvies might have fledged at Cape Coral.

They are cuties...
TWO EAGLES---same nest---KENT!!!
CO EAGLE dried out---sun shining there--
Going to hit the showers, maybe our cam will come up when I'm gone.......Jo, it may have happened sometime during the night, because she is in a different position then when I shut down last night, but some people were up during the night looking in, so maybe they can give us a time-line, but its down and, "it is what it is".

Laughing with you Mauley You did what I was tempted to do last night before I signed off! But the Blooger Cop was after us gals last night for singing too loud, so I didn't take 10 comments to get the wax. LOL
LOL, I was lucky if I could get 1 comment on late last night...
Don't give up on the CC site yet... the chicks are pretty big but I don't think they are quite ready to fledge and I haven't even seen them branch-hopping to practice. Just saw both chicks in the nest, plus one adult.
KATEAZ---I just watched CC--I thought I saw an adult eagle feeding 2 eaglets---Am I wrong---I check it out often--I think it is a beautiful nest---
Both, falcons are at the Shenadoah ledge.....Not giving up, Kateaz, this is when the fun begins, watching them fledge.
Thanks, Mits for the info on the return of the falcons to the ledge in VA. I hope they lay more eggs & not too close to the edge!
The 2 eaglets are in very good view now in the nest at Cape Coral...
Guess they were just sleeping when I thought the nest was empty earlier.
Pulled back shot at VA.
Another nice big ol' fish in VA
Both adults in BW nest & 1 osprey on the platform nest
BBL
Unbelievable wind, rain, sleet and snow at MAINE.
MAINE EAGLE...just stood up and turned egg/eggs and almost got blown out of the nest, but she is a tropper.
Well how cool is this, they are showing the RED PANDAS ON THE PANDA CAM AT THE NATIONAL ZOO.
Look at the nest view at
CAPE CORAL
Cool, Mits, Aren't they cute.
LOL, is that 2 fish at VA?
Feeding at BW
Oh, My, poor eagle in Maine is really hunkered down....
Time for me to do some things before getting ready for Mass....

AAARRRGGGGG!!!!!1 eagle frozen in time, 3 eggs, 1 egg 2 chicks, 2 eggs 1 chick, 3 chicks, blue screen, black lines, white lines,no cam:(:(:(:(:(:(

You are so funny Mauley! But that arrangement sure has worked for you!
DONNA my vote goes to MEGAN She is young and if she can take care of her greenhouse in ice storms, she's got my vote.
Wish we had the type of cam that Maine has.
Yup, Mits. We need a Timex cam. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.
I am watching MD play a very close Basketball game!
Yup, Mits. We need a Timex cam. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.
I am watching MD play a very close Basketball game!
MEGAN, Love your eagle pic.
Me too, Paula, very close game.
Poor eagle looks like she is holding on for dear life.
Sorry the cam was down when you finally had a few minutes to take a look, Megan.
How's the greenhouse holding up?
MIts,
Megan's pic is of the captive eagle "Hallie" that we saw at BW at the Eagle Festival.
MD better watch it or they will miss the sweet 16.
Well, she is a beauty, that Hallie......Hello, Miss Sharon:). are you getting any e-mails?
Not sure I can watch the last 2 mins, but I will.
Then FLoralgirl it is!!!!
Megan it is. MD b ehind 2 pts one minute left. Come on MD. You know you wantto play UK,
Love that pulled back view at VA. The tree and nest are huge. Take a look if you haven't already.
I think MD just lost
You can tell it is cool out today, MAMA BW & VA been on the chicks a lot today.
I love that view...
lol, Mauley, I think MD is done.
What kind of tree is that in VA?
Think Mom just came in at VA,,,,it was Dad keeping them warm :)
MD lost, oh well maybe next year
A big one, Paula:).
They didn't play good in the ACC tournament or this one.
Good evening. Just came home from seeing "Wild Hogs". What a funny movie. Loved it and laughed hard. Needed that. Getting ready to go back out. Be back a little after 7. Hope everybody is well today.
Its a loblolly pine, PAULA
Its 90 feet tall.
Seems much calmer up in MAINE.
Was that in their previous posts, Mits?
Thanks!
Sharon,
I saw that movie last Friday night. I was complaining because the cost of the movie was so high, but it was worth the money!
pAULA, it is right under the eagle cam and falcon cams....it says About The Eagle Cam.
Thanks, Mits. So now I have read everything in their blog, too!
They just zoomed back in at VA...still 2 big fishies in the nest....
I am not climbing any trees....
You won't have to climb it, Megan, just get in the cherry picker basket and it will lift you up.
It is raining at the Saanich cam, you can hear the raindrops!
Mom is tenting.
Easy for you to say, Mits...
Hey Paula, nice pictures you posted from BW, especially the sunset pics.
OMG you gotta go watch the sidney nest right now.
There were intruders again at the sidney nest
Megan, did your sunset pics turn out?
A couple did, Paula. I'll put my golden eagle pic in the album, it's cool.
Your shots were great, Megan.
Doing some nice wing flapping at CC
BW mom is snoozing...BBL gotta fix dinner.
I am back. Again about our cam -- AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Okay everybody, I am going to be using my comcast email again for a few days until frontier gets the bugs out of their servers. It is taking me sometimes a day to receive email from people and that is aggravating.

Frontier must be run by the same company as our cam...
Stop mumbling out there, you were all thinking the same thing:):):).
At least she gets her mail!
Good one, Mits!!
Frustration made me say it :):)
Getting a little foggy at KENT. Going over to check the falcon at James River Bridge.
Wings up and tail to the cam, that is going to be one active nest when those 5 eggs hatch.
Lord, I hope they are not run by the same company. I need my internet more than that! :)
lol....Sharon.
MAINE wind has calmed down.
just stock up on batteries...
Yikes, the PANDA CAMS are not working. Must have broken them when they were switching the cams around today to see the RED PANDAS.
None of the zoo cams are working:(.
Good grief, it's a regular camtastrophe around here...
Where are the KENT EAGLES, they are usually hanging out in the nest by now?
Happy St. Patrick's Day anyway...!
That camera has really stymied us about every weekend so far this season...guess it's really the winter weather, but............

I am going to say
Good Night
Pleasant dreams & peaceful sleep
Prayers being said for all
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, HAVE A GOOD SUNDAY!
morning all! Jim, if you want to buy me a camera with a long telephoto lens so I can take pics of the nest, I'll send you my mailing address.LOL- later- off to work for a little.
Eagle up in MAINE looks like Rod Stewart:).
LOL, Mits, Perfect description - better than bedraggled!
Jim, I was thinking about it, but alas, no telephoto lense. Not sure my binocs would be enough and probably too much snow to be able to sit alongside the road,.
Anyone else have VA up?
CC eaglets are up and about this morning.
NE is still down too
It is snowing on Rod
poor Rod, its going to flatten his "do"
Could be "Rod-ette"
I love Rod Stewart. I saw him in concert in Richmond a few years back.
Good morning everybody.
I would go but I don't think my lens is enough. I have never been there so I don't know how far from the road the nest is. Anybody up for a trip to Shepherdstown to show me where to go?

Hi Bob I hope you know how you make us feel very honored when you come on in and give us some new pictures! Thanks so much.
Going right over to view them.
Bob When I view your photos from BW I always do a slideshow and I can always get the feeling that I am
just up there soaring with those majestic eagles.
Paula & Megan went down to the Eagle Festival on the 11th - They thought they spotted the Golden Eagle. Have you ever been fortunate to get any shots of him?
Oh Yes, I also always look for any new shots of Katie, Bridget or Bonnie! Love them!
ok Bob Just looked at the ones from Pickering Creek. The Hawk is awesome. What are the last 3? Is that by chance a golden eagle...?
Lisa has updated the Eagle Web Log and she is featuring our own Momster Paula's pictures from the festival
Thanks - The last three at Pickering Creek are of an immature bald eagle who seemed to be following the mature eagle in the first shot. I've never been lucky enough to see a golden.
Thanks, for stopping by, Bob, going to look at pictures now:).
Wow, beautiful pictures, Bob. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Bob, as usual, outstanding pictures. Thanks so much for sharing:):):)!
Lisa has an article concerning Golden Eagles on her update. The most interesting item is the GPS tracking of the injured Golden Eagles when released.
Mits The zoo cams are up and running; however, I can't find any panda - only the bamboo.

Hi Megan Hi Mits
Winds is still howling up in Maine
Don't notice that any snow is on the
nest or the eagle...
Bob,
As always your Blackwater pics are stunning! Do you know what kind of hawk that was at Blackwater and Pickering?
Thank you for sharing your photos with us!
Now Lisa has 2 of Bob's photos on the Osprey page. I love the one especially of the Fish in Talon Landing!
HI JO, glad the zoo cams are back. I loved Bob's pictures, and congrats to Paula, for the festival pictures. Hello, Megan.
Jo, I think those last 3 pictures at Pickering are an immature eagle.
Hello Jo and Mits!
Hi Paula!
I see where Bob replies about the immature eagles, Thanks for the heads up on the osprey page, I didn't look at that well enough.
Ok, I am not crazy! She Just updated both pages!
She sure did. I did a bold blue alert on the Eagle Web Page because all of your Eagle Festival photos are on it.......
Paula You're right about the immature eagle pics...Bob also came back with that info. I thought you
and Megan said something about a
golden eagle......
Another superb entry by Lisa....going to go track a golden eagle now...
Jo, he is in the last 2 or 3 pictures I posted.
Megan, Megan, how does your garden grow?
I remembered your sunset pics and that way over up in the tip top of the tree - you mentioned Golden Eagle. But what you were saying is that he was just flying thru! ok
Spent some time with MAGGIE today, she now calls out for Da-Da:):).
Its nice when Bob stops by the blog.
