quick hello to all. its been busy and i have been popping in looking at the babes.....sometimes peeking in at everyone, but haven't had a chance to really sit, read, write.....
hope everyone is well, i keep you in my thoughts....just been crazy here.
had reiki share this weekend...and then a huge science project due on monday, which my 10 year old didn't really bring up til the Thursday before. :( i was not happy. it took most of the weekend to do this and to make it look good. i live by "presentation is everything"......and so i wouldn't allow her to just slop through it.
by the time the weekend was done, i was wiped out tired...but Monday came and wasn't much better. if you've read my face book-- or haven't....it was a rough day culminating in a best friend of mine having a heart attack Monday night. he and his wife and i have been best buds for 19 years now. .... and so i spent a good part of the evening at the hospital holding her in my arms as we waited. thankfully he is going to be okay, but had a 100% blockage on the right side and now they've found a partial blockage else where, but will deal with that in a couple of weeks when he's recovered a bit. he comes home today......but it had me pretty shook up. i love these two knuckleheads like family....we were military together.....retired the same time.....and they got me through some really dark days in my life.....times when i was ready to give up.....and so being there for them was my only option.....
thankfully Tuesday was better and brighter! judy adn i got some good news with regards to our parent's house...i won't bore you with everything; but basically the law is on our side and our attorney is rocking....getting 'er done.....it is unfortunate that we have had to go this route, but sometimes when you get backed into a corner you have two choices, you can sit there and take it or come out fighting. judy and i have come out fighting saying no this is not acceptable and we are holding you accountable.....execute the will....but now we wait, about 3 weeks for the next step. but its okay by me as at least we are moving and we have and end "in sight"
all right, 3 massages today, need to get moving and get busy. i am thinking of each of you.....(smiles to everyone for everyone needs a smile!) have a great day!

SANDI - Lost out on Eagle Scooter - the day we were to go look at it, I ended up having the EKG, etc. So by the time we got back to thinking about the scooter some lucky person had already bought it.
Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Busy days ahead - Easter approaches - family here on Easter Sat.- then prepping to send hubby off to turkey hunt, then gr.sons 1st communion, DIL's birthday, and son & DIL anniversary.
Speaking of anniversaries - had a 10th earlier this month - hubby bought me a beautiful orchid - must get a pic on blog before flowers start to drop - maybe get that done today.

I will be sending several copies of the recipe collection to the MEET & GREET for those who will be there. I will also have copies to mail out to any who wants one.
The original idea was to make it into a recipe BOOK, but as the collection grew so did the price. I was afraid it might not fit into everyones budget, and some might go without. So now its an informal collection available to the Momsters/Dadsters at no cost. My Labor of Love for this great eagle group.

Yesterday's Nature Report;
TU AM, I drove by the eagle's nest at Park. Mom was up and doing something in the cup. Then as I went on down the road, a HUGE brown bird flew along edge of trees to my left & landed! I stopped, reached for camera and it was gone! An owl! Had no neck, just that round face. I didn't see "ears", so guess it wasn't GHO, but very large.
Well, gotta hit the trail to Chelsea. BTW, I had put pics of little male Orange Tip butterflies we saw there and Friday we finally saw some females who are all white.Pairs were doing their fluttery dancing in the air.

Hoda, I loved reading how excited you are about your upcoming trip. When you could not sleep last night and said you needed to calm down, I thought "have a cup of tea." Then in your next comment you were finishing up your tea. LOL
Ahhhh, raisen bran is good! Jack eats raisen bran every morning but I love my french vanilla granola and I add raisens, plus I eat a banana and a soft boiled egg. Routine! ☺

Hoda, I wish we could turn on the A/C here in SoCal, but we don't have any! Since it keeps getting hotter and hotter here during the summer, we figure that Texas WITH A/C might actually be livable. Our cars have A/C, and everywhere we'd go would have A/C, so we might just survive.
