Thanks for the new thread Steve. Hope this one doesn't "break!" Thanks Megan for the call over. I posted this on the old thread and then saw, after I hit publish, that there was a new one, so I'm bringing my post with me:
Hi all, I'm back - I was able to fall back to sleep pretty easily on the sofa with Bella curled up next to me! Easy school day today - 30 minute classes!!
Jewels, when did your kids go back to school in August to get out so early??
Hoping Lynn has a good day today.
Thinking of Sharon today also. ♥
Lynne2, good to hear that Steve is headed home - I know you've really missed him.
I am uploadint two short video I did this am agian Will let you know WANDA if I am having issues You asked What kind of issues are you having I know you can't use the old way on youtube any longer
Good morning all! Cloudy and gloomy here, but we didn't have the storms that some had overnight. Just intermittant rain...but did hear that there was a non-touchdown twister in Winchester area.
I gave up on blog last night! Went to bed after DWTS anyway. Wow--what a show! Gonna be an interesting season.
Videos are uploading and off course will be finished process when I am at work WANDA I had no issues puting the video on the blog from yesterdays nestecapades on the blog now but I use Youtube to the blog I don't upload directly any longer to much a PIA that was I hope you have better luck uploading yours
He did dig up an old fish and take it to about the 5:30 position. I was hoping he was going to throw it overboard but he didn't. What a mess that nest is. *Banging on the door - HOUSEKEEPING!!!!*
I never have seen a nest with so many fish, Lynne.... ....gave a good day.... I saw the tail wiggle not the gills, neat ! I couldnt get close enough to the screen...
Jo when you are here: thank you for the link you posted yesterday the news article that Mits sent to you... very fascinating, and the pictures were amazing....
Good morning! See that Shep is not feeding the babes this morning!
Rained all night here. Has let up here on the west side of the metroplex. Jack is checking the rain gauge. We are guessing 3 inches or more. This is going to be so great for the lakes. Wahooo! But, of course, part of our back yard is a lake, too! Yuk!
Here I am - Held my breath until I saw email from Paula that the blog was up! Oh happy day! You're welcome Margy - When I opened the article the picture of the eagles' head my first thought was Dr Sharpe with his hand puppet feeding the eaglets. We had storms - lights went off once before the blog went down.
Allergies here, too, Jo! My eyes are killing me! They itch! I was using eye drops for allergies, but stopped as I thought I was doing okay. Need to ask the eye doctor for another prescription.
Just was on the phone with Laurel. We are NOT going to the zoo today. LOL Instead, they are coming here tomorrow afternoon and we are heading to the zoo Thursday morning. We have promised the boys ribs for dinner tomorrow.
Good on you, Lynn! I really can not imagine PB cheerios, but then we eat pb ice cream! I just love my vanilla flavored granola in the morning. Crave it!
Margy, you scared me for a minute there with that last comment. I knew that both were fine when I left for school this AM. #2 is up and at 'em right now!
How wonderful to check in on the nest and see BOTH parents feeding the chicklets. Made my day! All's right with the world (for now)!
Getting ready to head into Soup Kitchen... CHILI AND CHILI DOGS RICE MEXICAN CORN/RED PEPPERS CORN BREAD DRINKS Several garbage bags of clothing, etc. was put in the closet Sunday...don't know what is in them, but hope they are not wrinkled!
As usual with me I am a day late and a dollar short. Maybe someone got a video of Belle and Shep feeding the kis.?? I was watching the big surprise. Felt I was there with you all.
Lynn, I love seeing you and everyone on the video, but I also loved seeing your sunroom. I am so envious of such a glorious room. It is like living outdoors. We can not have a sun room as it would face west and get way too hot! As it is, in the summer time our covered patio is almost useless except in the morning.
I do feel the love Lori. Keeps hitting me in waves! Miss my Mops really bad. I am going to have to watch Scooby closely because they were joined at the hip and I am sure he is going to grieve. I always said they were like an old married couple.
Jack and I just came in from walking around the yard. The brick extension of our patio is covered in mud and water. Big clean up job there. Lots of squishy lawn but sink hole in the front yard. Big ol' hole! Major wash out of a mole tunnel.
Hi Margy! Just saw video #2 of the Big Surprise. Loved it! Loved Gene's comment about getting you a pole. So funny! Love you, Margy and it was great seeing you!
We have three inches of fresh snow in twon next to the lake and a lot more in Uphill and Rosemont...the ski hill is having a powder day... HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING
About squishing the eaglets and the egg cup being too shallow, remember that our perspective is looking down at the nest, which makes depth hard to see.
With regard to what's the norm with the parents and "baby sitting" (which Shep takes very seriously AND very literally), my guess is it's whatever works for each eagle pair. Plus, keep in mind that normally, they would be keeping the chicklets covered up much more right now, regardless of who's on the nest, b/c they can't regulate their body temps! With our unseasonably warm weather, we're all getting to see a lot more of the kids than we normally would.
We know Belle knows what she's doing and Shep is proving to have good instincts.
Well, I think I need to reboot the cam. I was walking when he was doing all the calling and I did not hear one thing. So, I am thinking where is my sound?????
JO I shared a picture of the snow accumulation, with fresh snow today, on Facebook. It is outside of Nelson but it gives you a good idea of how it looks here too...Never you mind IT IS ALL GOOD...we will not have a high risk of fires when fire season starts...enough moisture this winter I would say...
Same with me LOLLY I did not hear Shep but the sound is open...he has got the chicklets pinned down!!! oooopppppssss there they are moving again I guess he has not squiched them...I need another cup of tea...
Returned from doc - Z-Pak to take.. Dr is aware of Daliresp - the drug Red is on. He said he has had patients on this and only 1 out of 4 didn't have any side effects. He said I could not go off of my Oxygen - This med would mainly take away the necessity of being on prednisone. It is totally up to me if I want to give it a try. I brought some home and also the prescription for it if I decide to take it. Dr said it should be taken 4 weeks to see any change
I am heading out at 5:00 with my gd, Taylor - Jenny's girl. I am going with her to dinner where she will receive scholarship money. Lynne2, good to hear that Steve is headed home - I know you've really missed him.
Good morning. For some reason, I thought I was going to be able to get out of bed and come downstairs this morning without crying. Didn't happen.
Thanks everyone so much for all your love!
Shep just flew in, I think he brought another fish, Belle took it and is gonna feed the chicks. Good morning :)
Thanks for the new thread alert, Megan!
Thank you, Steve, for the new thread. :)
Hope you're feeling better, get rid of that headache, GLO.
LYNNE2, your Stubby will be home soon!
LYNN, wondering if your week off from chemo is giving you your pep back? ♥
Shep poofed. Belle is feeding. Very easy to see the difference in size between A and B, the way they are sitting this morning.
Camera shakes. Must be Shep b/c Belle looked up but went right back to feeding.
Do over-JudyE was great JudyE.
Thanks for the call over Megan. Thank you Steve for the new thread.
Nap time for the chicklets and time for this chick to get ready for school! HAGD all!

A little bickering or beakering??!! TOo cute.
Hello SHEP
It's YOUR Turn,
show us your stuff !
Eagle eating on the launch pad
GM all. I think I saw the gills move on that newest fish that Shep is eating and not feeding the children
Dad returns and wiggles in/on.
Lynne1---you must have super eyes!!! I never would have noticed!
He did dig up an old fish and take it to about the 5:30 position. I was hoping he was going to throw it overboard but he didn't. What a mess that nest is. *Banging on the door - HOUSEKEEPING!!!!*
Has anyone ever seen a nest with so many partially eaten fish?
re/gills -- it was right after he flew in with it. Maybe my imagination.lol
My cam has timed out and so have I. Hope everyone has a great day.
I never have seen a nest with so many fish, Lynne....

Yuk!
Rain total.....ta da....3.6. Wow!
Here I am - Held my breath until I saw
email from Paula that the blog was up!
Oh happy day!
You're welcome Margy - When I opened the
article the picture of the eagles' head
my first thought was Dr Sharpe with his
hand puppet feeding the eaglets.
We had storms - lights went off once before the blog went down.
It is Spring & my allergies say it is true...
Allergies here, too, Jo! My eyes are killing me! They itch! I was using eye drops for allergies, but stopped as I thought I was doing okay. Need to ask the eye doctor for another prescription.
Just checking to see if we are here today!
Powerful poop shoots, right out of the nest.
Good morning Jo and Lolly. Guess we are ALL wet!!!!
Babies awake again.....and alone.
Yes, not only are we wet but we are chilly, too! 52!
Mits had sent me that story yesterday, and it was interesting, but I thought the photo was inappropriate. :(
More fluff!
Eagle in with fluff..it's Shep
Shep back with flugg.
And, good morning to you, Lynn!
Just was on the phone with Laurel. We are NOT going to the zoo today. LOL Instead, they are coming here tomorrow afternoon and we are heading to the zoo Thursday morning. We have promised the boys ribs for dinner tomorrow.
All an eagle with more flugg? Looks like Shep.
62° here, Lolly, but damp-chilly.
Have I mentioned how much I love these PB Cheerios? Just ate a second breakfast so I could have some!!!
Shep is back to chowing down!
Good on you, Lynn! I really can not imagine PB cheerios, but then we eat pb ice cream! I just love my vanilla flavored granola in the morning. Crave it!
Going to check email and FB
I am waiting for Kristen's arrival
It's Tues....All 3 new TV shows!!
I don't see any parent attending to our
babies
Sharon - Love and Hugs
Yep there is Shep chowing down.
Wow, Lynn, we are cooler than you.
Good Morning to All.
See I missed Bev's Birthday..HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BEV
Lynn those PB Cheerios are addicting lol
Time for reading the paper.
BBL
Shep eating with his back to the chicks.
I saw that article on the Metro eagle, but hadn't read it yet...interesting
Chicklet is still watching Shep eat
Yes, Shep, I think the chick wants some fish!
I guess he is feeding the chick.
Shep is beak to beak with chicklet...so cute.
What is he doing? Beaking with the chick?
Is there a fish to Shep's left that we can not see?
Kids are at specials for 15 more minutes so I have time to check in.
Looks like Shep is feeding the little ones.
aw...sweet
Is Shep feedding the chick?
Good morning there my friend, Lynn ♥
Kristen is here and I am catching up
on my kids....
BBL
Now I think Shep is feeding the chick that was about to climb out of the egg cup and attack his dad......... lol
So cute how Shep goes to the chicks.
waiting to see that second chick in the cup move a little
I think he was just beaking with the chick...don't recall a fish over there
2nd chick is fine, Margy
Margy, you scared me for a minute there with that last comment. I knew that both were fine when I left for school this AM. #2 is up and at 'em right now!
Shep feeding the chicks now
Belle back!
Maybe we will see a double feeding
Oh my, they are both feeding the babies!!!!!! How beautiful is that!
Oh this is a Joyful Event....
I see two Royal Parents each feeding one Royal Baby...
as some of you do also...
xo ☺
This is just too awesome. The family dining together. Belle feeding once chick and Shep feeding the other. God is good!!!
Woah - Belle feeding one, Shep feeding one!! HOORAY!!! What a family photo!!
Yes, they are both feeding the chicks, he has the oldest, she has the youngest
Hey Glo - both are feeding the chicks at the same time. You might not have to worry about the little one not getting fed! :)
And soft eagle talk, too! ♥ this!!
okay
understand
did not mean to scare anyone
i was scared and didn't want to be scared alone
sorry
You felt it in bones the Double Feeding about to happen
Good, Little Bit is gonna get stuffed...Belle is so much quicker than Shep, LOL, but he's doing a fine job
I was busy on fb, watching the video of the big surprise. I felt like I was there. Thanks Capt Father Gene for getting a fantastic video.
It's OK Margy!
Wish Shep did not have his back to us. Love the little chirps!
Having another DUH moment.......T-BIRD: who is Lillian???
Look at the crop on the little one...thought he was gonna poop shoot on Belle the way he turned around
Sharon sorry for your losses. I've lite a candle for you ♥
This is so wonderful to see.
Both parents feeding each chick. (:
What is Belle doing???
Shep off to the left...Belle trying to cover up 2 stuffed chicklets.
Lillian is the cat, Hedgie!
Looks like she was trying to walk between the two chicks. Okay, now she attempting to cover them, but not doing a very good job. LOL
Very happy Charlies is doing good. I give the thanks for Carolyn!!!!
Tori is making good on that rehab could be home by end of month
WOW!!
LOL
I was thinking the parents might lie down side by side, each on one chick....
oh well maybe another time ☺
Joyous to share this with you Eagle Pals...
and now back to the other work duties here
xox
How wonderful to check in on the nest and see BOTH parents feeding the chicklets. Made my day! All's right with the world (for now)!
Getting ready to head into Soup Kitchen...
CHILI AND CHILI DOGS
RICE
MEXICAN CORN/RED PEPPERS
CORN BREAD
DRINKS
Several garbage bags of clothing, etc. was put in the closet Sunday...don't know what is in them, but hope they are not wrinkled!
Have a good day♥
As usual with me I am a day late and a dollar short. Maybe someone got a video of Belle and Shep feeding the kis.?? I was watching the big surprise. Felt I was there with you all.
Just watched the video, too, Lolly! So dark in there on a cloudy day!
Thanks, Shar! Thought so, but wasn't sure!
I love Mexican corn, Wanda!!!! Sounds like a good spread!
Thanks, Shar! Thought so, but wasn't sure!
I love Mexican corn, Wanda!!!! Sounds like a good spread!
Soup kitchen menu sounds wonderful!
Belle is up looking at all the fish...hmmm. which one to choose? Decisions, decisions.
Belle finally picked out a fish and is feeding the kids from the back porch
Lynne1, I got a video of it...will post later and put on the EM blog.
Carolyn will be here soon to "fix" my Kindle! She said around 1.
Lucnh time in the nest.
Getting harder to tell them apart! So alert! AND hungry!
Precious babes are getting fed again.
Good afternoon everyone!
Home from work with a fresh cup of decaf in my hand and will be ready for a nap soon!
Bummer that I missed both parents feeding both eaglets. Did anyone get a video?
Lori, Paula got a video but hasn't posted it yet.
Poor ole Shep just does not know how to sit still. Always piddling with something.
Thanks for the info, Sharon. So happy I'll get to see it.
Big hugs for you today, Sharon! You're being loved through it. ♥
So very glad to read there was a family feeding. I will hopefully find a video of it later. Getting ready for a nice nap here :-)
And Shep did that last feeding! He's in the cup, chicks are resting
I do feel the love Lori. Keeps hitting me in waves! Miss my Mops really bad. I am going to have to watch Scooby closely because they were joined at the hip and I am sure he is going to grieve. I always said they were like an old married couple.
Goodafternoon.
Hi, SHirley and Lori and Glo.
Yep, Shar, the pet partners do grieve, too.
Ready for a nap here, too, Glo and Lori, but waiting for Carolyn! YAWN!
I'll just throw this out because it is so coloful ☺
the Google image for today....
"something for everybody "
first day of Spring ....
Going to get my hair cut
Off to my Dr appointment
Will check in upon my return
Going to ask about Red's miracle med
BBL
Shep keeps flapping his wings at something. Red alert.
Little ones alone.
Oh, no, my mistake. Shep on rails at 9:00.
Look at these venturers!!!
so....the green stuff at top of nest
"deodorizers ?/ ?
LOL
need a few more probably at bottom of the nest
Yes, I wish the egg cup was deeper!
Shep just flew in.
OMG! Shep about squashed a little one.
You can not keep those two from squirming out. Maybe it has something to do with a shallow egg cup.
Jack and I just came in from walking around the yard. The brick extension of our patio is covered in mud and water. Big clean up job there. Lots of squishy lawn but sink hole in the front yard. Big ol' hole! Major wash out of a mole tunnel.
Well, Shep that is one way to keep them under you....step on 'em. Hold them down with those talons. Yikes!
Hi Lolly
You are not really all alone
I just had to work a little bit
☺
and now I have to do that again ☺
imagine, less than one week old
look at those babies go !!
ttfn
Hi Margy! Just saw video #2 of the Big Surprise. Loved it! Loved Gene's comment about getting you a pole. So funny! Love you, Margy and it was great seeing you!
Good Afternoon. Busy Day!
Is that one of the heads of the chicks under Shep facing us??
I saw when he was stepping on them trying to get them under him.
I agree that the cup is way too shallow. I wish they would dig it deeper and bigger!!
I am hoping that is a leftover piece of fish just at the top of his right right wing...
YIKES!!!!
It is one of the eaglets he
is actually on top of!!!
I saw it move its head..
Amazing how they survive....
I am holding my breath..
That is one of the babies under his right wing.
Really grateful to see it move. He has been on it for a while now.
That is downright scarey to me
to watch!!
I think I will say a prayer and
just go back to work!!
Is this normal for Belle to be gone
so much during the day in their
first days?
I thought typically the female rarely leaves the nest the first couple weeks, other than for a short break...
Good morning/ good aftrnoon everyone.
Thank you for the reports on the feedings.
We have three inches of fresh snow in twon next to the lake and a lot more in Uphill and Rosemont...the ski hill is having a powder day...
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING
Howdy, Hoda. Happy first day of sparring to you. What is your weather like?
Shep is calling out - using his big boy voice!
Shep is not happy with something.
Those chicks can't get out because he is holding them down with his sheer weight!!!!
Well, Carolyn has me back on the Kindle!! We'll see how far I get this time......
With our unseasonably warm weather, we're all getting to see a lot more of the kids than we normally would.
We know Belle knows what she's doing and Shep is proving to have good instincts.
Glad Jewels got ya hooked up, Lynn!! There's a learning curve with any new technology!
Yeah, LYNN!
Good Luck!!
I see what you're sayin' Sandi, but I still see those little ones wake up and try to move and "it ain't happenin'"
I love the video of you all at LYNN'S...AWESOME to see her doing so well with her Kindle...♥
I have rebooted, but I do not think that is going to help the sound situation. We shall see!
POOF SHEP
Sandi, I think you have hit it on the head for sure. Whatever works......we can only hope for the best outcome!!
On the Kindle, even tho' the cam pic is small, the crispness and clarity and color is unbelievable!!!!!
Shep up and gone! Now I want to see both eaglets move. LOL They look healthy enough.
See how things are really greening up?
Alone again......."naturally" or not!
Two chicks in an MT Nest!
They are going to need a deeper nest if they are going to be left alone!!
Belle returns
One was up on his feet!!!!
Very good, Lynn! I have decided the color of your cover is Spring Green. Our trees are leafing out, and they are Spring Green!!
Belle arrived!
Nap time here. BBL.
In comes Belle to tend to the Chicks...Shep had poofed!!!
Belle walks over to 2, looking at chicks....
Wondering what to do next!
Rest well, my Friend ♥
Lynn said nap, and the two eaglets fell asleep.☺
Returned from doc - Z-Pak to take..
Dr is aware of Daliresp - the drug Red is on. He said he has had patients on
this and only 1 out of 4 didn't have any side effects. He said I could not go off of my Oxygen - This med would mainly take away the necessity of being on prednisone. It is totally up to me if I want to give it a try. I brought some

Hey....I do have sound now! Rebooting did the trick!
I am heading out at 5:00 with my gd, Taylor - Jenny's girl. I am going with
her to dinner where she will receive
scholarship money. I for years had
belonged to Frederick Business &
Professional Women's club and I urged
Taylor to apply for the scholarship
they give (she is a straight A gal and is completing her Jr College 2nd year. This is a happy time for me! ♥
Congratulations Jo and Ed and to your bright, lovely granddaughter !!
I am putting my feet up for an hour before Taylor comes to pick me up.

Loving our two little snoozers
Lolly - I thing the chat is really good
for when we need it.
Spring green is fine, Lolly! Very appropo!!
