What will we do tonight with no Full Moon???? Good to see Belle back and I assume chicklet got real food.I wonder what she's been doing all day? Joined a bridge club! LOL
I was just re-reading the nest history on the EM site. 2004 was the only year listed with 2 hatches. 2006 and 2008 were 3-hatch years. 2009 was my first year watching - that was Hidey's year. Was 2010 Palmer (the page hasn't been updated to include 2010 or last year)? So, 2 hatches is pretty uncommon for this nest.
I guess I got abandoned when everybody else moved to the new thread just as I posted my first for the day. Hahahaha.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good Day to U All.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am glad to see we have a new chick in this nest, but so far I have missed all the important action in spite of watching the live feed quite a bit.
Anybody have clips of the hatching and feedings??
The lady Osprey at BWO has either left or gone to dinner it looks like. She looks like (but isn't) a lot like the smallish female from last year's nesting season. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The lady Osprey has since returned. I hope she decides to stay for the season.
Sandy, I do have 2010 on the yahoo group page....one eaglet, named Palmer. I haven't updated since last year...I'm thinking I'll have to write a book, so I am going to transfer all that info somewhere else in the group.
Shep was in with a fish and Belle is heating and he hung around for a while and took off the little guy is adorable and there is a clear view of the piplllLIFE IS SO GOOD. and GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME as SHARON says.
HODA YEAAHHHHH I've tried to follow on the blog from work, but have been very busy. Tried to blog from phone a couple times and comments weren't even relative by the time I'd get back to finish.
sUSAn, I saw Belle feed it once. When Shep was on he sat on it but didn ot feed it...its almost like he was not sure what to do...so he continued to incubate...he was so cute moving fluff around.
Belle backs off the cup and is looking down and around... something indeed is catching her attenetion. little one is bobbling along and the egg is still not split.
DanaMo - Your job is soooo demanding 24-7. I have several friends who are teachers at various levels. They put so much into their classes. Sorry for the confusion, but YOU make such a difference. Remember that :-)
n comes Shep with some vocalizing...Will thre be a night shift change? I thought Belle was settled for night shift...she is not on a hurry to get up. Shep on railing and poof...
Belle up for something to eat herself. She goes to one of the big fish...someone earlier commented how they feed the fresh fish to the little one...I wonder if it is easier to digest...The little muchkin behind her is very active...egg is still not split.
Now back to the old thread to read. Have caught up here. DanaMo, my sympathy!! But have to tell you...I laughed and thanked the dear Lord it wasn't me!! The thought went through my head....wouldn't it be great to send all your parents your comment on here ending with having a beer. roflmbo
My beer is tasting mighty good Lolly! Parents just need to relax a little. It's all relative. I have to say though I have great parents, really and truly. I think if they weren't concerned about their children I would be very concerned.
the rain demolished my nest-watching time for me, rain hit hard in Martinsburg area, of course, wrecks and more wrecks and My computers went all wonky while officers were recovering stolen property ! I got outta there at 6:30
I was looking through old blog posts the other night....mostly 2007
Lots and Lots of pictures were posted with the threads that year, with many Momsters contributing and Steve too...and he posted a lot, pictures and updates... it was very exciting to go back through all that.... I was not a Momster then, just an Eagle Cam Watcher ☺
I did see one pip... just got in on the patrol just in time...
Susan, it's rather laborious going back through...older post, older post, older post...but it was very well worth it. I started watching the cam in February 2006 - the first year it was "on" - the Still Cam first, of course...
Well, If I told you I saw some Awesome pictures of Nu in the nest and helping to install the camera back then......would that make it more enticing ???
have a few emails to attend to... My sister Roanoke Mary has returned to her home roost today after I don't even know how many weeks she was in Florida helping with my brother Fred and his wife with his illness.... What an Ambassador she has been.... and Fred's doing well also.
Just went into the kitchen. Looked out the window and there was a cardinal with a stick in his mouth. He was in the red oak right outside the window. He then flew into the Nandina that is right under the window. Hmmmm??? gonna have to check this out. Problem is that bush needs to be cut back. Hmmmm?? What to do, what to do?
LOLLY, Last summer, I found 3 baby cardinals in a bush on the north side of our house the day before painters were coming to start painting the exterior of the house. The morning they arrived, I met them outside and said, "It's a big house. Start on the east side and then head to the south side. By the time you get the other 3 sides of the house painted, these babies should be gone!" At first, I'm sure they thought I was joking!
I didn't get around to emailing Lynne1 grannyblt and Pa Nana Diann about the pipping egg, so will take care of that now. they might already know, but just in case...
If I could name these freight trains passing through near my place "The Tundra Swans," then I could say I hear them often! All year long ! done, emails to grannyblt and Diann... hope they can watch Friday.
ttfn, time for chow. Best Wishes for a Good Evening ! Thinking of Lynn♥
back from work...thankfully not too emotional a day, save for one moment. An elderly, kind man had a dog that was very sick recently. He was SO hopeful Jack would pull through, but we knew he wouldn't. I think deep down he knew it too. So one day while he was there with Jack, who was still looking pretty good, I asked if I could take some pictures for our facebook page. I did so, and they turned out very nice. Jack passed away last week. Tonight he was in with his other dog, and I gave him the pictures. He was so overjoyed!!
Lolly, wowser, I hope your cardinals build a nest you can watch! I had a pair build a nest in a bush right outside my bedroom window many years ago and it was awesome! They are pretty tolerant of being watched. It was the first time I ever saw a nesting event from start to fledge!
Brand new Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice tonight, so I'm going to hop in the tub and then watch some TV. JO, for some reason my DVR didn't record Alcatraz on Monday night - GRRR!! Will have to wait til next Tuesday for it to air online!
Prayers for LYNN!
Prayers for Steve and his family and for Nila and her wonderful friend, SHARON!
SUSAN, hope that chicklet hatches for you in the next 6 hours!! =)
Goodnight my eagle friends! HODA, with Andy on vacation, the late, late night pip patrol shift is on you!!
I am on it SANDI...yet I am not sure how much I will really be able to see when it gets really dark...will I be able to see TWO little Bobbleheads? How so very cute...I might just phone a few of you back east if it gets too excited out here all by myself!!!
HODA, the phone is on Dennis's side of the bed! I'm not so sure how much he would appreciate a phone call at 3AM Florida time (got that LYNNE???) informing him that we now have 2 bobbleheads!!
ok before I get a shower did we get a second chick I still need to read but want to know PLEASE is there another one
I got a video of the juve in the nest at CoquinaKeysShopPlaza where Jordyns dance class is and he or she looks bigger that the adult that was in the tower with him
Lovely gift, Lynne...for your friend...He is your friend, forever ♥ am sorry his dog Jack couldn't pull through...but comforting he had You and your Office Pals to help out
"Pip Pip Hooray," that was a good one ! We do get excited about these things, a bunch of Mother Hens, we...(and a few Father Hens also!) Sure appreciate all that you and your Staff do to make it all possible!
yeah, Jack's dad is pretty elderly, and lives alone. he was so broken up when Jack got sick. The problem in this business, is that the people and pets you come to know best are the ones who are in quite often because the pets are sick.
Laurel just texted me. Joseph is playing his first baseball game. He played when he was little three years ago but has been playing soccer since. However, he wanted to play baseball this year. First time to bat they walked him and then he stole the rest of the bases and scored. That's my Joseph. He would love stealing bases and sliding in! LOL
Also, Laurel has new dog Luke there with her. He is on her lap. She said he was bored. So funny!
Lynne, my daughter;s recent trauma had a very good outcome. 4 yr old female cat w emergency ft leg amputaion. That, or Rainbow. She is doing fantastic like nothing changed for her. Great!
Trying to keep my mind off a spider that Charlie let get away, ugh!!! Going to go watch Grey's and Private Practice... talk to you fine people later. Hope to see another baby in the morning!!! Hugs to all!
SANDI look at what you started!!! Phone calls in the middle of the night...
Tge last time I woke people up in the middle of the night was in the late sixties when I had my first dream in English...I was so excited to dreamin English...My American family told me they did that all the time and to go back to bed!!! LOL
Belle is up, She moved off the cup looked in and is now facing 11:30again.

Thanks, Sandi, for the call over!
YAY Sharon got a pic of the pip!
I just noticed, the times are 3 hours off on this thread.
Home, but not for long. So the second egg is pipping? Guess Miss doubter here was wrong! I'm happy to be wrong!
My time is fine. Matches my computer exactly.
I was using the mobile version of the blog so I could subscribe and the times were 3 hours off. Now I'm on the web version and the times are fine - strange!
I posted the pics in the yahoo album.
Thanks, Sharon!
Hope to see the second chick tonight, or in the morning before I head to the beach...I would guess a late night or overnight hatch

I think I am hearing little cheeps from the babelet!
Thanks, SHARON!! =)
Not speculation. We were watching movement in the hole of the second egg twenty minutes ago.
Steve, the speculation statement was a joke. We all commented on it at the same time. I have a pic!
Partly my fault too Steve....sorry...
guess we are just a little silly and eggcited...
STEVE, obviously you don't spend enough time reading your blog. If you did, you would have gotten SHARON's sarcasm! =D
WHOOHOO...another eaglet on the way! How eggciting!!!!
Hey, LYNN!! ♥ How are you feeling?
Steve, we are just EGGstatic about the second egg pipping! We are the PIP PATROL!
I love being on PIP PATROL!! It is really rewarding this year!
What will we do tonight with no Full Moon????
Good to see Belle back and I assume chicklet got real food.I wonder what she's been doing all day? Joined a bridge club! LOL
Great to "SEE" you, Lynn! ☺
Hello Lynn! Glad to see you on here.
Too bad eagles don't eat flies. There are plenty to feed everybody.
Thank you so much for another fresh thread Steve. Just in time to welcome our second bobble head.
Speaking of flies, Belle is trying to catch some.
Wiggle, wiggle!
It's raining in Martinsburg...
is it headed to the nest ??
I was just re-reading the nest history on the EM site. 2004 was the only year listed with 2 hatches. 2006 and 2008 were 3-hatch years. 2009 was my first year watching - that was Hidey's year. C(°ٿ°)D Jim
Daggone, that wind can go somewhere else.
Sandi, there hasn't been 2 hatches since the cam was installed.
darn it I am at angies and with the new thread won't get the email drat
Rockin' nest.
Windy.
So a pip is confirmed. I have been on and off today.
Just read we have another PIP yeah waiting for Angie to come home gonna go play with Jordyn in her back yard
I am looking forward to watching two eaglets grow up in the nest this year. I have never watched more than one in this nest.
Could get rain here this afternoon.
I hope Belle stays put or Babelet and Piplet will start flying a little too early.
NEST Forecast update:
Scattered light rain showers will continue to move northeast through the rest of the afternoon.
Tomorrow-FRIDAY! A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precip is 60%.
I think that is the first time I have ever seen a post by Steve! Hi Steve, glad you joined us! ☺
Most of the showers are missing us. We just seem to be catching some of the wind from them as they pass by.
Sandy, I do have 2010 on the yahoo group page....one eaglet, named Palmer. I haven't updated since last year...I'm thinking I'll have to write a book, so I am going to transfer all that info somewhere else in the group.
Yes, this would be a first for viewing with 2 chicks.
Very exciting on the new pip.
Also wonderful to see STEVE on the blog. THnak you for hte new thread STEVE.
AWESOME LYNN chimed in and that makes it a perfect day.
MEGAN I love your cheer.
Thank you for the history and the confirmation SANDI and SHARON.
DINNER is served!
Sharon what year was the cam installed?
Aw...look at that sweetie
Shep just brought back another fish!
belle mantled it right away....Shep took off, and now Belle if feeding chicklet. Pip is visible!
DanaMO - 2006 was the first cam year
Fresh wushi for supper.
Shep was in with a fish and Belle is heating and he hung around for a while and took off the little guy is adorable and there is a clear view of the piplllLIFE IS SO GOOD. and GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME as SHARON says.
Belle is feeding the little munchkin
Love the way she feeds the freshest fish to the chick!
Got a pic of both parents, plus chicklet, plus piplet! Will put it in the album!
Yep, covert operation on the feeding.
Just had a shower in Hagerstown.
Showers must just be scattered.
I will go cook an artichoke, it is lunch time for me too I think
It must be hard to be so careful working her way around the cup. Belle rolls the piplet and the babette
Next chick is pipping away nicely!
Just enlarged 2 pics on my blog, one to xlarge. It's amazing to see how big the chick is compared to the pipping egg in just one day!
OK, the pic is in the album. As you will see, the 2nd chicklet looks like Shep - he has a spot right on the top of his "head!"
OH BOY! I still stand by my prediction yesterday of hatch today. We don't actually have the second hatch yet, right? I've got until midnight. hahaha
Sandi, that's so funny about the spot.
Great picture, Lori!
sUSAn, no hatch yet but definitly a pip...yes you have till midnight Pacific Daylight Saving Time that would be three in the morning your time!!!LOL
Belle looks awesome.
Wiggle butt is trying to get out the front.
Little Babette is peaking out? so cute
HODA YEAAHHHHH I've tried to follow on the blog from work, but have been very busy. Tried to blog from phone a couple times and comments weren't even relative by the time I'd get back to finish.
This warm weather has bobbleone so active.
I love it. Belle won't even know bobbletwo is out because of all the action under her already. I think Shep was getting tickled today.
That wind should be cooling Belle.
I see Steve and CO where watching the nest....WOW, wouldn't it be cool to see the action on their HUGE screen!!
Hi Little One.
Lynne2, that would be amazing. A much different view from my netbook. ha
Belle is on red alert watching something.
She sure is, Sharon. Has bobbleone eaten a couple times today, to actually get food?
sUSAn, I saw Belle feed it once. When Shep was on he sat on it but didn ot feed it...its almost like he was not sure what to do...so he continued to incubate...he was so cute moving fluff around.
Belle is up, bobbleone and egg.
Belle backs off the cup and is looking down and around... something indeed is catching her attenetion. little one is bobbling along and the egg is still not split.
HODA he's doing so well.
Belle has a good stretch.
AWWWWWWW, here comes antoher feeding?
No she is tracking too much...she approaches the cup with no food though and settles back in facing noon.
I loved the look on Shep's face when he saw the egg broken and the eaglet was out. Like... UH OHHHH
I think so too sUSAn about the Bobble doing so well...
Just got some new Refresh Liquidgel Eye Drops. Fab!!
Good thing raptors have a dull sense of smell. That nest is a hot mess.
Belle is up again
Suppa time at the Sycamore Palace, but again a covert operation.
She's getting a bite to eat and feeding in her usual style. Back to cam blocking the view.
Not that we can see anything, but Belle is obviously feeding chicklet. Can't see piplet either!
Egg roll and back down.
I couldn't see any change in the egg.
clarify **any** confusion!
Having comments sent to email so I can go veg up in my room and watch tv and drink a beer!
Where did everyone go???? Here I am venting and no one is listening! LOL!
DanaMo - Your job is soooo demanding 24-7. I have several friends who are teachers at various levels. They put so much into their classes. Sorry for the confusion, but YOU make such a difference. Remember that :-)
hahahahahaha Beer Good!
You all have to be on Pip Patrol now. I am going to a meeting.
Sharon, I'm on it.
Shep has arrived....Belle is talking to him...he brought something...I think
Shep is in. Belle is chirping so low.
n comes Shep with some vocalizing...Will thre be a night shift change? I thought Belle was settled for night shift...she is not on a hurry to get up. Shep on railing and poof...
Awwww, Shep was talking so sweet to Belle just then.....
He poofed.....
POOF Shep. Belle is up for another bite.
Nope maybe not...thought it was at least some fluff...and back he goes...back off the launch pad.
Belle up...grabbing a stiff fish, think she's going to have some dinner
Pip not in view
Bobble is Bobbling and egg still in tact. Belle is eating.
Chicklet is stirring...trying to see Mom...oh maybe she will offer chicklet a morsel or two...she was checking on him
Belle up for something to eat herself. She goes to one of the big fish...someone earlier commented how they feed the fresh fish to the little one...I wonder if it is easier to digest...The little muchkin behind her is very active...egg is still not split.
I am going to have to go back to the old thread to read it. Just had to jump in here and see what is up. Yes, Shep was sweet talking Belle.
Come on Belle feed little Bobble, I have not see a feeding yet.
I would like to see Belle move that thin stick she drug over the nest cup a while back!! Looks like the little eaglet is hitting it when he pops up!!
Good Evening Everyone....
Trying to work while watching. I was distracted by Sheps soft talk to Belle. I thought it was rather precious!
Oh, I know it has been fed....I just have not seen it! LOL
Belle on covert mission and bobbleone is getting bites, too.
Look at those eyes staring out of the egg cup. Okay, she is feeding but...I can't see! It is a conspiracy!!!!!
Some bites for chicklet ♥
Here is the covert feeding of chick operatio again!!! so cute!!!
Aw, chicklet is passed out, time for a nap, but chick stirs when Belle goes to cover up
I think bobbleone fell over from a full crop. lol
Belle is back on the hot seat.
I think if they weren't concerned about their children I would be very concerned.
the rain demolished my nest-watching time for me, rain hit hard in Martinsburg area, of course, wrecks and more wrecks
and My computers went all wonky while officers were recovering stolen property !
I got outta there at 6:30
Now it's MY turn to catch up

Wow and I saw she posted and was watching !
Nite lite has already come on....
I was looking through old blog posts the other night....mostly 2007

Margy, I should do that, also.
I did see one pip...

Susan, it's rather laborious going back through...older post, older post, older post...but it was very well worth it.
I started watching the cam in February 2006 - the first year it was "on" - the Still Cam first, of course...
Aaah, the whooooshing sounds...
Paula! Enjoy your three day-week-end !
Margy, I have done that from time to time as well...
Gotta hit the grocery store...bbialw
I don't know I'd have the time. Small bites. Read a little, blog a little. HA I know I could learn much.
Well, If I told you I saw some Awesome pictures of Nu in the nest and helping to install the camera back then......would that make it more enticing ???
have a few emails to attend to...
My sister Roanoke Mary has returned to her home roost today
after I don't even know how many weeks she was in Florida helping with my brother Fred and his wife with his illness....
What an Ambassador she has been....
and Fred's doing well also.
Hey there....guess its time to kick my kitts off the comp... I need to get up and turn the nest on!!! Margy, sorry u all got so busy!
That's enough to make anyone go back and look. LOL
Have caught up and now time to go fix dinner.
I'll be back!☺
Sounds like the C-5 sailing over NCTC
Margy, you have my NU attention.
Yes, we did Jewels...get busy, it was the rain's fault not yours !!
Hello!
Openfox went all wonky like Cad was doing earlier !
YOu can see Belle a'glowing in the dark Carolyn if you look fast
Just went into the kitchen. Looked out the window and there was a cardinal with a stick in his mouth. He was in the red oak right outside the window. He then flew into the Nandina that is right under the window. Hmmmm??? gonna have to check this out. Problem is that bush needs to be cut back. Hmmmm?? What to do, what to do?
Belle looks so regal.
Yes, at 3 am it was quite an adventure !
and Steve and the NCTC staff were taking those pictures....
lots of narratives too
Lolly, hand trim. I had to do that last year.
tough decision Lolly!
But it sounds wonderful, the cardinal...never heard of a nandina
LOLLY, Last summer, I found 3 baby cardinals in a bush on the north side of our house the day before painters were coming to start painting the exterior of the house. The morning they arrived, I met them outside and said, "It's a big house. Start on the east side and then head to the south side. Belle continues to sit high facing 12:30
Sandi, good call.

Awesome story SANDI...I could almost hear you being firm but with a smile also...LOL
If I could name these freight trains passing through near my place "The Tundra Swans," then I could say I hear them often!

Best Wishes for a Good Evening !

Watching AI as I had it recorded.
Jack saw the cardinal a little later, sure sounds like a real deal!

Steve popped in two times today! Like that!
Time for some St. Paddy's Day EAGLE!
Just love how the babies make everyone chime in!!!
Lolly, I sure hope they build that nest...would be very cool to see progress pictures of cardinals!
Don't call me the middle of the night! I panic! What's wrong? Who's hurt?
I will do that, if I can do it without disturbing them. Will check tomorrow to see if there is enough of a nest yet.
Great!
I'm so glad Susan! Cats and dogs do SO well with amputations most of the time!
