GM all. Just checked the still cam and our kids are home alone. I don't have time to wait for parents today--will trust Mother Nature to take care of them. lol
Checking in at school - kids are coming down the hall! Judy, I think it was CarolAnne who had the problem with folks not being able to post comments. Gotta go! TTFN!!
Hi, Lynne! So glad to see you posting and hope you can continue! Actually, we have snow this a.m.and maybe up to 5" by tomorrow a.m., but not to worry, it melts VERY fast with highs in the mid 40's this week.
Shep just brought a big wad of flugg...looked like he was watching Belle feed the chicks...would ya look at the crop on that front chick, poor thing is gonna topple over, LOL
Laurel and the boys will be here in a few hours. They are coming for the afternoon, evening, spending the night and then we go to the zoo in the morning. We like to be there when they open the gates. Not so crowded. Jack has promised the boys ribs for dinner tonight.
Really pretty color in the nest. I do appreciate the cam and how it has improved! Remember when we would get excited at a hint of yellow in the beak and talons?
Christie&Shannon are at an awards ceremony luncheon in Fairfax. Not sure what his award is for....maybe 10 yr. Longevity or maybe for water rescues last year in Alexandria flood. Proud of him no matter what it's for!!
Robyn, alone time is good for you. I'm sure you need some of that. It has been so wondeful that Jen has been able to let you stay close, but know you can't wait for the 30th!!!! What an exciting day it will be---for us all!!! Wish I could be there when you pull in that driveway! And can't wait to meet your folks when they come!!
Working on my iPod.....it had died, but not ALL of the songs had disappeared. Loading some newer stuff---it is taking forever!! Want to take it with me Fri. for during chemo in case I have a chatty roommate.
Sharon - are you bad? loL You don't need to answer her Lynn - I hope he was a stud..♥
Thelma was cracking all of you up this morning - I got a giggle from reading it
Kay, Prayers for you to feel great soon again
Andy - You have a beautiful family! I am very happy for you all to be together. I am anxious to hear about your upcoming visit with Lolly.
Lolly - Enjoy Laurel and the boys as much as you always do when they visit. GD Taylor did go to the DC zoo Monday. She loved the pandas - the red ones were also out!
Gosh, it's a beautiful, sunny, cool (57 degrees) day here in Providence Village (Aubrey), TX! Kubby & I have already made a pilgrimage to Walmart after taking Sierra to school--had to get stuff to make shepherd's pie for dinner. It smells GOOD in here right now! We made ourselves a pot of oatmeal for breakfast, and had hazlenut coffee we got at the donut shop on the way home from Walmart.
Glad to know there is someone in the attic. Looks cozy in the nest.
Yes, they are on spring break this week. Laurel is trying to catch up on house cleaning and yard work. Said she was going to paint some trim as well. Do not know if she has done that or not...I am thinking not! Each boy has one practice this week...different days and she had a dentist appointment. Think she cancelled so we could change our zoo days.
Gotta tell you a funny story about Sierra's kitty, Latte. While we were gone, she got up on the sink in our bathroom, and stole the quart-sized ziploc bag that I keep my One-Touch blood glucose monitor, my logbook, and pen in. Found the logbook and pen halfway across the house at the bottom of the stairs. Wondered how it got there, and knew it hadn't fallen out of my pocket! Headed to the downstairs bathroom we're using to investigate. The ziploc with the monitor in it wasn't where I had left it on the sink! Looked under the bed, and all over the downstairs, to no avail. After much searching, found that Latte had "killed" it, and dragged it upstairs and to the other end of the house, and left it next to her food and water dishes! That little rascal!!! The ziploc had a bunch of tooth and claw marks in it--she must've had some fun! Jen says I need to put the whole thing in a drawer when Latte's not looking (so she doesn't know which drawer to open to retrieve it). Glad we were able to find it!LOL That's my great-grand kitty! :o]
Susan had asked about our chat on Eaglet-Momsters. If you go to our Yahoo group Eaglet_Momsters, on the left side where it has a list of items, near the bottom is "chat". Click on it and it takes you to chat.
If we should loose the blog again, that would be a great place to go. Is different from the blog, but it would make us feel not so cut off.☺
Been wanting to ask you if you were the one who had trouble putting labels with pictures on your blog. Couldn't get the blog to get things in order. Wanted to say, left-to-right, who was who in each group picture, but it kept getting scrambled. Any advice?
Had fun watching an hour ago. I was doing my walking and watching Shep feed. He soon had both chicks out of the cup. One looked like it pecked the fish. When he was through one chick fell asleep almost on top of the fish.
Have just filled my feeders and put out my hummer feed! It is about 10 days earlier than usual. Let's see what happens.

Thelma, slow down! It's all good!!! I think we all have OCD to some extent---gotta say that in many repsects mine has gotten better with age!!!
My OCD would like to see the nest cleaned of the old fish before Shep brings in more!!!!!!

I meant assistant. I don't want a personal accident for sure. : )

T-Bird, I was actually enjoying the "little stuff" - had me chuckling . . .
Hedgie-that is some great advice and yes I wish that the nest would be OCD cleaned before another fresh fish he brings in. OOPs too late.
Well I just discovered that my snipping tool works at school!
Morning, all!
Shep just brought a big wad of flugg...looked like he was watching Belle feed the chicks...would ya look at the crop on that front chick, poor thing is gonna topple over, LOL
Irene, bet snow-handling there is much better than on the east coast, huh?
Hope the 5" DON'T materialize!
LOL, Thelma, I was enjoying your cries for help, too!! Hey, we're always willing to "help" from afar!!
At least those old fish are all piled up now!
Chicks are getting a good breakfast, and behaving themselves :)
Getting to the good stringy stuff ☺
That little one is so full, all he can do is move his head...plop just fell over,,,he's done for, LOL
YAY, I got home from work early today, maybe I can get something done around here! My cleaning OCD has gone dormant on this gray day!
Cool, DanaMo, that you can snip at school! Can you post a pic after you snip?
See that one of my Kindle posts DIDN'T. It said:
Lori, hard to get motivated after working all night even if it wasn't gloomy!!!!!
Good Morning - I'm not too late however I need to leap over to where you all
are commenting........
Good morning! Sun shiney and cool again today! Water still standing around...might go fishing in my backyard.
Thelma, you had me laughing. What did you take this morn? Want to come clean my floors?
Wanda, glad the kitchen was so successful last night. That is a lot of people to feed!
Glo, glad you are better today. I was worrying about you!! (((Hugs)))

So, as usual, I will not be on as much.
The nest is looking a bit better. Not so many deat fish and the egg cup looks more defined and deeper. Read where they brought in more flugg.
Belle letting the chicks air out....big wing stretch from Belle....big one asserting his dominance.
Kay...prayers for you. Bless you! So very sorry you are having so much pain! Loving (( hugs )) for you! And, prayers as well.♥
Uh oh, little stinker in the nest is not being nice to the other.
Good Morning to All
Boy that older one sure does peck and pull the feathers on the younger one. Until the poor thing lays all the way down.
Egg cup built back up some...
Poop shoot!
I agree with you Lolly he/she is not being very nice to the younger one.

That was a powerful poop shoot, totally cleared the nest.
Funny story Andy. Sissy had a cat that would find the rings off of milk jugs and kill them and put them in her bed all the time.

Either a major camera shake or an earthquake in Shepherdstown.

Is he thinking about feeding them?
Love the kitty story. LOL I also like the put it in a drawer when she is not looking. Too funny!
I think Shep likes to tease them.

Shep is feeding the chicks.
Belle is here now and feeding a chick.

Belle has the eaglets pretty well covered up. Maybe that should be Shep's next lesson.
