I just got a phone call from GG telling me that she baked an apple pie, but doesn't know how to turn the oven on:) I have difficulty turning it on myself...it has bells and whistles, maybe 25 buttons to push!
The sun is starting to peek thru, I can see it here too. The fog is lifting and boy, was it foggy today. I missed home I hope it is foggy when tori awakes in the morning once she is home.
Feel bad about Lynn's weakness. Have been reading around & see lots of references to keeping tabs on the blood pressure - lots of low blood pressure w/chemo patients. Saw several suggestions about drinking lots & lots of fluids (eating salty snacks to encourage the thirst). Sure wish they could build up her strength.
And morning to all - hooray, a bit of rain here today - much needed after our high temps & little snow.
Those chicks are going to scare us silly with all their wandering around that nest. But glad to see that they appear so healthy!
Ever since I posted from my Kindle a couple of days ago, the blogger cops at Google wouldn't let me post. I finally got a verification code sent to me.
Read back on the blog a bit. That note from TJ(?) was interesting about the feeding instinct. I guess it is a good thing that Belle is more "experienced"
Prayers for our Hedgie as she deals with the chemo
I'm concerned that Shep isn't bringing the amount of fish he previously did - seems they barely have enough now. Also, I've noticed that Shep doesn't stay in the nest long any more and Belle doesn't get out like she did previously. Funny, I worried she was away too long last week! Comments?
The little ones are thriving now. But I hope Shep keeps bringing fish. They are going to need more and more. This is the first year I have seen more than more baby in this nest.
Paula, Very interesting email from your friend, the park ranger. I'm glad that we have one very experienced parent and that the other picked up the feeding as soon as he did!
Irene, I'm curious about whether or not Belle will start bringing fish to the nest as well as Shep. The way A and B are eating, it's going to take BOTH parents doing the fishing to keep them filled up!!
OK, kids are coming back from exploratories - TTFN!
Wow another long poop shoot by #1 who has made is way back to the cup....Shep trying to get off small pieces...he's trying...chicks are reaching for it...C'mon Shep you can do it.
Supposed to warm up today, I think. Can't wait to meet Lolly!!
Gotta get going, since I'm doing some of our laundry this morning. Don't want to have to do it on Sunday at home!
Lynn, mega prayers for you this morning. Hope there are no ill- effects from the chemo this time. ((((HUGE HUGS)))), and LOVE!!! Carolyn, hope you get to feeling MUCH better after some sorely needed rest! Prayers for you, too!
It's Red Friday Morning - Sunny Sounded like the train - then it turned into a plane...... Great to see Shep feeding the eaglets. TJ's description of first time Mom/Dad and how they are shown by the little one that it needs food - That accounting is remarkable because that is how Shep was taught - the one little one popped up and grab the food. I am so thankful that TJ told us!
Carolyn - Hope you can get some rest sometime today - and that you build up your immune system.. You have too much to do you can't get sick. Prayers for you & Charlie.
Lynn - Praying for you to have strength and comfort today. Love you dearly

Anyway, hope the day goes well for everyone.
A warm one today at the nest:
Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming east between 5 and 8 mph.
Margy, I'll be off soon! Just a few things to finish up and I start the weekend! Yippeeeeee!
Good morning everyone. Hope you will have a good day indeed. Prayers for Lynn's chemo and after effects to go easy on her today.
How cute. #1 is playing roley-poley trying to sit up like a big kid. He's not been very successful yet.

When you think about how fast these little eaglets grow, you understand why they have to eat so much and why it takes two parents to care for them.

Not sure Fuzzle.

One baby out of the nest cup. They are active little ones.
But the effort seems to have worn him/her out. Taking a nap by mom's foot.
Good morning! Sun shiney here...would have been a better day for the zoo. LOL
Paula, thanks for sharing TJ's story. Very interesting! What did he have to say about his beautiful family? Additive, are we? LOL I agree!!
Belle is concerned about the little one so far out of the egg cup.

Lolly, TJ's boys are doing well! His youngest is 19 months old now.
