JudyEddy said...

ok I spoke to soon Wow that was big bite the one just took from Shep he is feeding the one and the other just reached out and got it Like what about me LOL

JudyEddy said...

Shep is trying still to feed and they aren't eating I can't beleive thay are finally full LOL

JudyEddy said...

Big decided he will still hungry and its time for me to go back to work

Lynne2 said...

WOW, you can really see how deep the nest is with everyone in it where they are!

Lynne2 said...

and I am not at all comfortable with that one being up there..

Lynne2 said...

we are back from our walk...going to do a couple of quick things and be back to tell you what we saw!

Kay said...

Good Saturday afternoon ! ☼

Thanks for prayers, positive thoughts and glowing candles ! Had a good nights sleep, but I pay for that in the morning--much pain, trouble walking for the 1st hour up. Hate waiting til' the 11th, but ortho docs are soooo busy.

Love seeing Shep fulfilling his role so beautifully. Not worried about the chick in forefront. The nest is, I feel sure, much deeper and the rails far more protective than our view allows us to perceive.

Hoda said...

Good afternoon all.

LORI I hope it goes well for KATE'S MOM. It will be a shock though and might bring out issues of trust...to leave the home without being told and to land in this new place, I would not like that, I would prefer to be told ahead of time...Big decicion and I wish KATE well with it and I am supportive of her...

I think it is a trendy barrell SANDI.

Thinking of THELMA and very glad SHARON is goig to visit also other family memebers.

Good to read your posts LYNN.

Mema Jo said...

Kay, I am so sorry there isn't a way to get your shot sooner - waiting 11 days without any relief is senseless. I hope they know to call you immediately if they should get a cancellation.

I am getting ready for Mass...
Prayers for All

Be back around 7:00 - things to do after church

Kay said...

SANDI, thinking of Bandit ! Our little ol' Sammy is responding to his pain med and giving the family time to get ready for the inevitable. Oh, yeh, that rain barrel will be beautifully trendy ! ♫♪ Look down my rain barrel, slide down my cellar door ♪♫ Love that old song, "Playmates" !

LYNN, I missed something--what did gorgeous Christie give you. Love seeing your posts pop up now and then ! Prayers !

SHARON, prayers for THELMA ! Can't imagine why she can't have her music. Do they say why ?

Kay said...

JO, yes, they know I'll come "running" if they get a cancellation. Fingers crossed !

LYNNE, years ago my dad installed some kind of potty in his basement aka guest room, that was self contained and chemically treated. It had to be emptied now and then, but your adopted mother does have help often enough for that,it seems. I'm thinking that, with a little creativity one could be placed on the first floor of her house ????

Kay said...

SHIRLEY, love Hunter's "Big Foot" reaction ! You know what they say about big feet, big...oh, no, I won't go there ! ☺

LORI, I'm so distressed for Kate, her family and especially her Mom. I'm sure they know best how to handle her, but it seems traumatic and shocking to me. Prayers for all of them !

Hi, EveryboDY.

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

I see the live feed is working fine now (still with apology for it not working below :~) ), but the still cam is still the same still as yesterday.

It's overcast with some light showers here and there in So Cal today, so naturally I went back to bed after breakfast and had to curl up under the comforter for a while ... loved it, but now how am I going to cram a whole day into a couple of hours of daylight???!!

There are some new fuzzy-heads showing out from under mother on the Catalina nests today.

C(°ٿ°)D Jim

hedgie said...

Good late afternoon.

Had company earlier...friend Ann brought me lunch and we had a nice visit.

I, too, feel so sorry for what Kate and family are going through with her Mom. :(

Kay, sorry your good night tunred into a painful day. Not fair! Take your meds??

Christie brought me a huge 5 blossom hyacinth, Kay. Growing by leaps and bounds, too!!

hedgie said...

Hey, Jimbo!!!!! Do you have the car back on the road? Are you busy running about town???
Great for Catalina!

Sandi said...

When I walked past my laptop, Shep was sitting in the cup with both chicks - one on each side of him. All they needed was a TV and a remote control - what a great pic of Dad and kids!

Kay said...

LYNN, Hyacinth ! Love em' ! Yes, taking the meds. A couple of days ago tried going without and quickly learned I cannot do that ! I also use ice and the TENS regularly, so am keeping the edge off, but definitely need the next injection.

Just had a long conversation with my Eileen. She's in the middle of a weekend of birthday fun, with both kids home. Now I must get set for Seth's arrival and for our usual Sat/Sun fun to begin.

Praying for all in need ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

stronghunter said...

Oh Lori, so sorry about Kate's mother. Prayers for the whole family.

Have been very busy here. Just checking in for a moment. Wow, are those eaglets growing.

Hoda said...

Those on Facebook, LOLLY checked in with a video and a picture. Concert with Joseph went very well. She looks happy.

Getting ready to head to yoga...

Tropical rains continue in Nelson...I think I will drive today.

Lynne2 said...

good grief, such an entrance! eagle sirens!

Lynne2 said...

OK folks, our walk today is now on my blog.

NatureNut said...

Wow, we have another page change. In away, it's simpler to write at the bottom after reading comments.
I need to do a lot of backup reading.
So sorry there are problems for Kate's Mom.
I AM HERE BECAUSE BETTER LATE THAN NEVER< I DISCOVERED LADY, THE OSPREY, WAS BACK YESTERDAY!!!!!!!--nest in Dunkeld Scotland. That's so funny because my daughter and SIL are both in England and I told Jim before they left, to watch the skies for her! Too bad they're not in Scotland.

JudyEddy said...

JudyEddy said...

JudyEddy said...

I am trying not to type with recording but this is tooo funny to watch

JudyEddy said...

Belle is doing pretty good with the big stick I see

NatureNut said...

That branch has got to go!

Lynne2 said...

oh dear, I thought I saw something about a new blog thingy when I was posting my new post. Just went back as if to do another post and it's all different now! Geesh, I just finally mastered the old way! Hopefully not too complicated!

Sandi said...

Thanks for the nest commentary Lynne, Judy, and Loretta! Sounds like Shep has gotten the message to start working on building up the sides of the nest for crawling/hopping eaglets. If he's as obsessive about delivering sticks as he has been about delivering fish, this nest will have rails 3 feet high! ;)

JudyEddy said...

I am downloading the stick video

stronghunter said...

Thank goodness, that is over. I was afraid the babies were going to be knocked out of the nest.

JudyEddy said...

LYNNE2 and everyone else DID YOU KNOW that you can make your picture larger on the blog Don't know if you noticed how big mine are before you publish you can choose sever different sizes to make your pictures Just a suggestion

SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE IS IN THE ATTIC LOTS OF CLUNKING

Lolly said...

We are home. It was was a full day. Jacob's ball game at 10 and they won. Lunch at subway and kill time at the house. Then Joseph's program at 3. This was his honors choir program. There are 21 elementaries in Denton and each one has an honors choir that meets after school. This morning all the children were together for the first time from 8 to 12. Then they sang at 3. It was awesome. I love the second video I posted on fb.

Need to go back and read the blog.

Lolly said...

Oh, and Joseph missed his ball game because of the choir.

Lynne2 said...

No Judy, didn't know that....I'll keep that in mind for next postings!

SANDI..the only other time I've heard an owl during the day was last year. We were at another park and a Barred was being harassed by a huge flock of crows. I think it's nesting/mating season for Barreds but not sure. I'll have to do some research.

sad about her Mother...My sister had to walk both my Mother AND my father into a nursing home back in 1983 - it was probably the toughest day of her life...
my Mother was so confused, my Father understood

Sharon-sorry you are not feeling well, I know how bad that dizzy feeling can be, stay on the couch!

Yard is starting to look good. Monte did the mulch. I went and got the pool supplies close to $300! WOW! I think we are set to open though, I'm ready if not for any other reason, but to have something pretty to look at outside.

Sandi said...

DanaMo, will you open the pool before Easter? Aren't you going to Ohio during your break? BTW, the stitches are just fine - they didn't bother me at all while I was cleaning 3 bathrooms today and vacuuming the upstairs.

Sharon, sorry you are feeling puny. You sure have had a lot on your plate lately!! Did you buy that instrument at the flea market? I was going to guess dulcimer but several others beat me to it.

Lori, please keep us posted on how things go with Kate and her mom.

Kay, enjoy your evening with Seth!

Lynn, hope you're having a restful, pain-free evening! ♥

Margy, Christmas decorations - SERIOUSLY???

Good Night for now xoxox ♥

Sandi
Yes, seriously
I had a foot operation in January and just put things off, interminably (not even sure that is
the word I mean to use...)

Does not make a whole lot of difference when one lives alone and there were other
priorities....

Hey, that picture from this morning was perfect....the eagle feeding the eagle...

Costume Lady said...

Just read that SANDI has stitches in her hand...how did that come about, lady?

Sharon, dear one, dizzy? Sounds like your nerves are taking over your body. You have too much going on in your life...slow down a bit and REST when you can!

magpie said...

My goal, Sandi
was to give away the
things from year to year
that I am simply not using

so I waited and waited until
I could do it in an organized fashion.
Ha Ha, that has never happened
not really very funny though

JudyEddy said...

I put the stick video and some pic on my blog Nest video one as always

Stick in nest and pic
also this am feeding where Belle went over to where Shep was and took food from Shep to feed the chicklets was sooooo sweeeeettttt

Costume Lady said...

Well, now, Margy...you know what you can do with those things that you no longer use or need:)

Sandi said...

Wanda, that's exactly what i was thinking when i read that Margy was weeding out things she no longer needs/wants/uses - give 'em to Wanda!

The stitches are on my back - I had 2 basal cells removed on Wed. No biggie!

I love your wildlife cam videos and also love that you live where there is so much wildlife to see!

stronghunter said...

Hi,

Night light came on a moment ago.

Thanks for the good thoughts and hugs, you guys! I've been trying to reach Kate. Last I heard all the kids were taking her over to the new place - I don't know if she knew or not before walking in the door, but Kate did text that they are there now.

Thanks for your special thoughts Sandi and Margy. I'll be sure to pass them along.

Lori O. said...

Sharon, I sure hope you
are feeling better very soon.
I don't like your symptoms.
I'm hoping you just need some down time and will
awaken refreshed in the morning.

magpie said...

Wanda
are you thinking "Goodwill?"
or wait until Clothes Closet time next November-December ?? ☺
I can do that !

gonna do a little vacuuming while I have some steam left

Lori O. said...

I'm with you, Judy! That is so amazing.
How awesome to see that right
at your front door!

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

Well I made it upstairs to potty and get in my bed. Mattie helped me. Room spinning kind of reminds me of drunken times. Grateful I don't have drunken times anymore.

Lolly said...

I have read some of the blog. We also went outside for a while.

Prayers for Kate's mom. Bless her. Mother lived in "retirement" living. She had an apartment on the third floor. They cleaned her apartment once a week and changed the linens. All meals were furnished and served restaurant style in the dining room, great food. She had to do her own laundry, but it was just down the hall. It was a beautiful place. If she did not appear for a meal they went checking on her and if she was sick, the meal was taken to her, but only for occasional sickness. It was not a nursing home. My brother's mother in law still lives there.

Lolly said...

Sharon, so sorry you have a dizzy problem. How is the headache?

Lori O. said...

Lolly, thanks. That sounds like such
a nice place for your Mother. I hope Kate's Mom has good feelings
about this place which is also very nice, but I'm not optimistic.

Lori O. said...

Sharon, glad you made it to bed. Have you ever had vertigo?

Eagle-Eyed Shar said...

No Lori I haven't had vertigo. Head is still hurting. I took an allergy pill. More will be revealed.

Lolly said...

It was a very nice place Lori. She would not move from home to be near my sister or myself, and living with Larry would not have worked. We had to talk some but she ended up loving it. She had some good friends there. They took residents to doctor's appointments and they also had "field trips." She lived there until she was 90 and then went down fast. She went into the hospital and then hospice care.

DanaMo said...

Not really sure if we will open it next weekend or wait til we come back. It makes more sense to wait. We will be gone just Sunday through Thursday. I have my procedure on Friday (13th) and DI states are Saturday (14th). Maybe Monte will open it Sunday. If Monte opens it before we go I will worry about the dogs falling in when Andrew is watching them. He isn't coming because he has class. His break was early March.

Lolly said...

Where mother lived

Lori O. said...

LOLLY, that sounds like such a lovely place. Kate just wrote that
she and her sister are with her
Mom who is falling asleep on her sofa. Next they will wake her to go
to bed. Kate will be staying the night with her. I pray she sleeps and wants to stay there long enough to give it a good chance!

Lori O. said...

That really looks like a nice, nice place, Lolly!

JudyEddy said...

Lori O. said...

Sharon, I had vertigo once and was so dizzy
I could not stand up...like you.
The nausea came from the vertigo too. I hope it does not last. I didn't have a headache though. Just woke up in the morning and couldn't stand up. Please keep us posted if you can blog.
Big hugs, Sharon...prayers, too for you and Thelma.

magpie said...

Vertigo can sure be tricky...I had some exercises where you lie down, look this way and that, raise one arm over the head, roll over, and do it again...can't remember the exact sequence but it moved those little "crystals" in the eardrum to where they needed to be.
but sometimes antibiotics or other medicines are needed....sure makes the room spin when it happens

Thinking of Kate and all the family on this first night "away from home" in the new home

It's sad to see the parent/s have to go through big changes....
I see that many of us have experienced that...

SHARON I am glad you had visiting time with THELMA and not pleased at all about the dizzy spell. Heal and rest you have been under a lot of stress lately. Say hi to MATTIE and I am glad she is there to help and that her science project is now complete...I will look forward to hearing about the results...

I can't see the cam. Just wanted to check in here. My son and I made it out fishing...wasted our time. Got to Dam #4 and couldn't get a decent spot. Tried for a while and moved on to the Sharpsburg Pond with no luck. We did get to see the nest albeit from a ways away. We could see one of the two on the edge of the nest. On way back out we could see both on a branch slightly above the nest. Is that branch what you all call the "attic". My vacation is nearly over and we won't be heading out again for about a week. I hope I can at least watch the cam. Take care all.

Lolly said...

I just finished my book, too. I read The Hunger Games and now I want to read book 2. Laurel has both 2 and 3 but I have to wait for Joey to finish reading the second one. The whole premise of the story kept me from reading it, but once I got into it I could not put it down. Now Jack and I are going to see the movie.

I am heading to the shower and going to do a few tasks around here.

Night all! Sweet dreams!

Hoda said...

Costume Lady said...

Hello to JERRY, you must be new on here...don't recall your name.
You must watch Belle & Shep and see what tenique you might learn from them to catch a fish:)
Bummer, isn't it, to get your gear all together, your bait, something to eat and drink, drive there, throw your line right in the best spot...and then...no fish biting! Been there and done that!

SANDI, glad your Basal Cells are gone. How did you discover you had them?

Lori, my heart aches for Kate and her Mom. Went through that with my Dad. He wanted to know why we were putting him in a Nursing Home and we told him that he could come back home when he was able to walk again. That seemed to calm him down. Of course, we knew he would never walk again...he had a brain tumor which eventually paralized his whole left side. We all cried every time we visited him on our way home, because he would beg us to take him too:( He eventually accepted the place as his home. We used to eat lunch or supper with him 3 times a week. After we were done, he would say he was tired and wanted to go to bed. Those were good days because he wanted to sleep, rather than come home with us. A very emotional time for all of us~

Hi, Everyone!

I've been MIA today! We were very busy--spent the day with my Sis-in-law. Bro-in-law is out of town for his job. We went to Soup Plantation for lunch, then went to the house and watched some recorded travelogs about various European cities. Lots of fun, and much cheaper than the real thing!

Oh, Goodness! Prayers indeed for dear Thelma!--and now, for Sharon, too! Sharon, Kubby takes Meclizine 12.5 mg when the "dizzies" hit him!
Once it's under control, he takes one caplet every 12 hours to keep it from returning.

It is raining lightly here right now. Had been gray all day yesterday, and rather cool, but love that kind of weather.

Prayers for Kay! Hope there's a cancellation so you can get another shot sooner!

Prayers for so many other concerns, too. Very tired--fell asleep in front of the TV, so must head for bed. The porch light is on, and both security systems are enabled. Sleep well. God bless, and goodnight. Love all of you!
Oh--Lynn, hoping the heating pad is helping. Love and hugs! Prayers, too! :o]

Hoda said...

Good morning SANDI...Yes I noticed...it is easier on the eyes I would say...it does not stop at 14:45 mark and that is a plus. I like that they say, "Live Cam from NCTC" at the toppictre seems less grainy too.

Morning all,
Posting from the northwoods. See still so many prayer needs. Hoping this Easter season brings reasons for us all to rejoice. Surely Easter prayers are even more powerful.

The eagle nest between home & cottage is occupied & busy. No way to tell whats in the nest. Can see one eagle in the nest and one leaving the nest to fly out over lake and fields.

Discovered a raven pair have nested in a tree at back corner of lot. Noisy, noisy! Trying for pic when they come to deer feeder.

Wishing a good day for everyone, with special prayers for Lynn, Kay and Thelma.

Thoughts of prayer continue . . .for Sharon (physically & emotionally), for DMo & the start of tick season, for Lori's Kate & her Mom & family, for Sandi that her cells are never more serious than a few stitch remedy, and Hoda that she doesn't wash away with the rain & snow melt, and that all the un-needed/wanted Christmas items find happy homes and all other needs/wants that need to be resolved.

DanaMo said...

aw...look at them beak to beak. cute!

Hoda said...

CAROLEANNE it will either have to stop raining or else I will have to buy a boat...LOL

CarolAnne said...

Sandi, Snow was all gone, then 2" on Friday, but that too has melted except in a few shaded spots.

Today is forecast to be in the high 60's.

Bubby walked the firelanes yesterday. Deer tracks & coyote, but didn't see a thing.

CarolAnne said...

Hoda, then for sure there will be enough water for Dragon boating, so there is a bright spot to all the wetness.

Hoda said...

Yorkshire tea is THE BEST...

Sandi said...

Hoda, I was thinking the same thing, that I wonder what the picture will look like when we get color at the nest. Can't say I'm a fan of the new grayish blue color when the nest is also in grayscale - too monochromatic for my taste!

Sandi said...

And there we go - I like it better with color!

Color at the nest!

Wanda, Jerry is our new Dadster.

Hoda said...

The lake is alrady up CAROLEANNE. Yes enough water it is all good and certainly needed so we would not have an actie fire season

Colour.

My calendar is the NBG Garden of Eagles one. Just turned the page to April and there is no number "1" in today's box - just the words "April Fool's Day" and "Palm Sunday." Looks like someone in the calendar production crew had a sense of humor! =)

Hoda,
Wondering how you make your cups of tea . . . a tea pot, in a cup, hot water in a microwave, a tea infuser???

Sandi said...

Hoda, I use a whistling tea kettle, which I am going to put on the stove this very minute! BRB!

JudyEddy said...

GOOD MORNING EAGLE BUDSS WOW DID WE GET A NEW LOOK TO THE CAMERA PAGE ALSO

JudyEddy said...

WOW the window is bigger tooooo huh

DanaMo said...

Great prayer list CarolAnne!

Hoda said...

I don't own a microwave CAROLANNE!!! An old focil I am in regards the icrowave...LOL
I make a tea pot. I have a small size tea pot for one cup and I have a large tea pot. I like to heat the pot before and then add the tea so it would not be shocked!!! It steeps really nicely and gives me an amber colour...
When I really want to spoil myself I use loose leaf tea and make my own bag...otheriwse I use a regular tea bag tea...Yorkshire tea comes in both...

Hoda said...

The tea infuser leaves a metal taste or a bamboo taste...don't use them either...

Sandi said...

Hoda, I heat just the water in the kettle and then pour it into a mug with a tea bag in it. Don't like to microwave b/c even the microwave safe mugs get too hot.

The kids are still alone but so far, they're staying put. Must be chilly enough this AM to keep them close together.

Shep arrives - BIG fish!!

Hoda said...

In comes Shep with a whale!!!

Hoda said...

I think he is thinking where is MA Belle and how come there was no siren sound to tell me how wonderful I am for catching such a big fish and I even got my wing feathers wet...see I shake them dry!!!

JudyEddy said...

Does any one hear anything at all on the cam I heard nothing but the hum I wonder if it is broke no eagle peeping and no shep

Hoda said...

Those Talons look sharp to me!!!

JudyEddy said...

ok I do sort of hear a peep but faint

Hoda said...

There is sound JUDYE I hear small little birds at distance. The hum is at a higher volume than the old set up though,at least I think it is!!!

CarolAnne said...

Wish I had his fishing talents. He has lots of success. Wonder how many misses?

I heat the water in a glass measuring cup in the mico, then pour it in a cup and add the tea bag to 'soak' for a few minutes.

OK, tea drinkers - do you drink your tea in a "tea cup" or a coffee cup? I have my grams tea cups, but they are getting so fragile, I usually make my tea in a coffee cup.

Hoda said...

How cute little one is climbing up the ramparts to be fed!!! PAPA is just feeding himself for now or at least truing to get into the fish!!!

JudyEddy said...

and BELLE

Hoda said...

In comes Ma Belle

Sandi said...

Both parents in the nest! One baby facing each. Shep is feeding one chick.

Hoda said...

Oh cute Little one is getting some too

CarolAnne said...

I wish we were all endowed with the nurturing instincts we see in these eagles.

CarolAnne said...

By 'we' I mean worldwide

Hoda said...

I love the little squeeks

JudyEddy said...

shep seems to be looking up at something

Hoda said...

Good instincts those two parents have CAROLANNE no doubt!

Hoda said...

I see him busy eating and feeding JUDYE...Belle now is looking around she tried to feed the little one and for a while he was eating from both but decided fresh fish is better!!!LOL!!!

Good Morning Sandi, Hoda, CarolAnne, Judy and DanaMo! Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Hoda, you are up early this morning.

I'm checking in late. Have been texting/emailing
really with Kate.
Seems they've been up since
3 and her Mom insists she is not staying.

They have gone downstairs for breakfast now.
I hope she meets some friends who will change her mind.

Thank you all for your thoughts and stories. Wanda, that is heartbreaking about
your Dad. I don't look
forward to this day with my parents. They're only
early 70's now, so hopefully a long while.

I love you all!

Sandi said...

Good morning Lori - and Judy, who I forgot when she first came on! Lori, I can really empathize with what Kate is going through - I see my sister and I going through the same thing with my mom at some point - maybe in the not too distant future!

Hoda said...

Both chicklets now in the cup asleep and Belle is standig guard while Shep is doing a good job on the fish he brought in...he will have to go get another one for Belle I would say...
