Of course you all probably know that Sharon is safely in Scott Depot with Andrew and that Beverly, Tom, and Mattie have had the weekend to get their boat and camper in order. They are both in heaven I'm sure. Me and the dogs are holding up the home front just fine.
I check Lake Washington Eagle Nest, often, sometimes see one, sometimes two....and sometimes the live feed is down..today nest is empty and it looks dreary there
They nest, lay and hatch later than some nests we are watching
Good morning eagle friends. I'm home now after my new hip and two weeks in a rehab facility. Still have some pain but am feeling better every day. I see we still have problems seeing over 200 comments on the blog. When are our eggs due to hatch? Glad I got back before hatching happened but I've forgotten when they are supposed to hatch. Thanks for all the prayers while I was away.
RED, welcome back! happy to hear that the hip suregery was a success and that you're feeling better each day. Next Sunday, 3/11 will be 35 days from the first egg belle laid, so i have it circled on my calendar as "hatch day???"
I insist that, from now on, all Momsters,Dadsters, Kidsters, and Petsters associated with this blog are only allowed to have "suregery, " NOT "surgery!"
Hello Red! Glad you have returned. The moon has and will be bright for a week or so... the nest is well lite! Did they feed you your biscuit and gravy at rehab? I bet you lost some weight - time to put it back on! ♥
It must be Sunday! Good afternoon (already?) to everyone. Hope I jump the Split. Gotta go for awhile & eat something. Finally got the Mansion and Dinosaur Exhibit pictures in the Nook. (BTW, checked out doing the slide show--pics are big, but you don't see any text. O wellI I do have a link about mansion on first section) Enjoy~~~BBL
I guess I didn't post my most recent good morning message, and now it is afternoon. Don't know how that happened, but I think it was because George was scratching at the back door.
Good morning or afternoon, as it may be, from the snowy north,
Hey Red is back - :o)
All appears to be normal at the nest - that is good. Countdown begins in earnest!
See new words are continuing to be added to the dictionary. A secret language just like in grade school.
Prayers continue for you LYNN. But Lady, you take as long as you need to regain your strength & heal, your body has been thru a lot. Do not use an ounce of your strength worrying about getting back here. The blog will wait "patiently" for your return. Sharon will keep us & you posted to any important news. (Thank you SHARON).
Shirley - what movie did Hunter see? Was it 3-D.... He sure loves the giant size popcorn and drink. He's all boy I am sure he had to share that popcorn!♥
I think I lost a few pounds. Didn't have much of an appitite for a few days after surgery. The rehab place did have biscuits and sausage grave one moning. Food at the rehab place was pretty good most of the time. Diane took me out this morning to my favoriet place for breakfast. Got my fill of sausage gravy and biscuits. lol Glad I'll be here for the hatchings. I'm expecting Shep to be a good father and keep everyone fed.
Kathryn and Hunter saw The Lorax in 3-D, Jo. I am sure he shared the popcorn with his mom. That is one huge container of popcorn. Believe it or not, it was the small order of popcorn.
I guess it is good that popcorn is not too heavy. A person might have trouble lugging around the large order.
Hoda...had to comment before I forgot...the Redskins throw...yes John grew up on the Skins and we are forever faithful fans...that thro was hand crocheted by my Mom for John...she made some nice Redskins pillows for the boys as well...and some other nice afghans...plus she crocheted many bedspreads and tablecloths which I now have
Glad to hear that Lynn slept well last night, but hope the soreness and weakness will scram, pronto! Sharon, thanks for keeping us posted! Prayers continue for Lynn, and lots of love and hugs being sent her way!!!
Lynne2, love the pictures from Paula & Nick's visit!
Red, it's great to see you back here! Glad your new hip is working well, and you're renewing your supply of biscuits & gravy!
Say, does anyone here know of a recall of Maalox Advanced Maximum Strength tablets? Can't find any at Walmart, or at the grocery store. Just wondering...
Well, need to get busy on some housecleaning and laundry. Will check back in later... HAGD, everyone! :o]
Three of the Ch. Isl. nests have eggs with brooding adults on them, AND one of the adults is 'hanging' at the PH/CH nest most of the time now...check the branch at the far right of the screen.
The Raptors were all here for their gathering around 11...they've been coming every day around 11 - 1. No BV eggs in the "barn," yet. I wonder if TV's would nest so close to BV's?
Me thinks Belle is taking full advantage of her eager young mate ! He's putting in a lot of nest time, but seems quite contented to do so. Good on him !
Home for lunch been here a few reading Thanks for the update on LYNN Sharon Welcome back RED we were concerned with the storms in your area.. LORETTA loved the pictures but I had a hard time commenting with the words but finally go it right silly words hard to make them out at times AND I really think that suregery is surely gonna not hurt as much as surgery does thats what I have heard LOL
SHARON Thank you ever so very much for the update on LYNN. I much appreciate it and ♥. Enjoy the time with ANDREW.
PAULA the throw and crocheted things your MOM made are beautiful...her work is intricate and detailed. You are lucky to have thes things with such terrific quality.
Travel safely ARIC and MONTE...Two more months and ARIC will be a Sophmore!!!Freshman year will be over, under his belt and he will be moving forward to summer jobs and time at home. How is Adam(???)doing with his college courses...I feel so embarrassed as I am not sure if it is Adam or the third name I can not recall!!! LOL Senior moment I presume!!! How fast it has all gone really DANAMO.
I heard many small birds chirping when I got up this morning, a sure sign of spring for these here parts...We have a PILE of snow and it willtake a while to melt, but the little wee birds are back.
Yeah I made it through all the comments at lunch and will be going to Angies after work probably won't pop in when I'm there important to visit There are making a nice roast in the crock pot I believe Ours winds are tremendous gust up to 55 really windy My truck is real clean no pollen at all with the pounding rain last nite..
Looks like everyone has flown the coupe and getting on with their Sunday lives Not one peep on the map but me so I shall to fly off and head back to work See ya all later tonight
WVGAL DANA you don't show on the map are you a figment of my imagination LOL
Red so glad your surgery for hip went so well. I am happy to hear cause I was a little worried at first. That you did not "escape to home from rehab stay" lol Prayers for healing and for the pain.
I see your lady Diane took you out for breakfast...She knows how to take care of you♥♥ I am so happy for you return to the blog.
Lynn/e try a peanut butter and banana sandwich. I just had one. Since my bread is the oatmeal bread it isn't as big as regular bread. So I got 3 slices of banana on it and just ate the other slice. I have not had that for years. Prayers and candle lite.♥
I just woke up from a nap - not something I do very often, but Bella was very happy to curl up on the sofa with me. I was checking emails when I saw Belle fly in. Another smooth parent switch!
Pizza is in the oven. Only half baking it and will finish the baking in Dallas. Wish you all could see that kitchen there....my dream, and they do not cook very often. Grrr!
While I have the capability and the energy, I plan on using it. When I slow down....beware!☺
Here is the entry JO wanted me to bring over in regards to TORI and her awesome progress.
"Step down, the next place one goes to when well enough to move out of icu, the next step to going home.
Tori was informed though she is in icu they are treating her as if she was in step down as the vent is the only reason she is still in icu, I believe it is 48 hrs off vent before she is moved but because she is doing so well her status is step down and they are going to focus on PT. Tori is much happier knowing this and said she wants to go to New Orleans and Mississippi to see her cousins then Florida to see Ang, Auntie Mare and Nana and pop pop.
This is a video from eaglelover of the Hancock FOundation of Belle's arrival and the changing of the guards that SANDI and I reported on earlier to day.CHanging of the Guard
Shep is known as Smitty on the Hancock FOundation site.
Enjoy your time in Dallas LOLLY. I am glad Zacharouski phoned you in the morning...Take a picture of the fancy kitchen and of your pizza when it comes out of the fancy oven... Hi to MICHAEL, ASHELY and ZACHAROUSKI and of course to JACK...
Red, it was so pleasant to hear from you. Continue the recovery and don't forget to pack your auxiliary gravy pouch when you go out for biscuits and gravy.
Jo, have a nice time.
Hope Shirley is having a quiet Sunday afternoon.
Hoda, thank you for the Tori update. She really is the most amazing your woman.
Our nest is quiet now. Jewels cubs have names: Herb and Fern in keeping with the foods bears prefer.
In comes Shep with a small fish which Belle consumes in a couple of gulps...She takes off from five and Shep goes to the egg cup gingerly and positions himself facing one and rolls the eggs. All is well at the nest.
I agree SANDI. I think they will work well when the eaglets are here and Shep will provide the necessary food and relief time for Belle...I want to reach for the fluff on the railing on eight to give to him to use around the cup...he brought it in yesterday and it blew away in the wind and they are both still building the rim around the cup!!! LOL
Major headache has kept me off the computer for awhile. Seems to be fading... Race is on tv, sloppy joe's ready for dinner and Aric on the plane and heading back to Dayton.
Good try Hoda, it's not hard to get confused with all the A names Andrew-community college oldest 21 (next month) Aric-University of Dayton-who just told me he may be changing his major oy vey! More for mom to worry about. He was pretty upset when he left. Hopefully we talked him through it. What is a parent to say!Geez, where is the manual!!!! Adam-Junior in HS Annemarie-8th grade. I really wish they were back in diapers!
DMO, was just trying to figure out what to fix for dinner - thanks for the sloppy joes idea! Sounds like a plan!
LORETTA, thanks for sharing the pics of the dinosaur exhibit that you've been working on. What a lot of work and what a cool place and way to display the panels! Are the dino graphics on the walls painted or are they some type of applique? Love how some of them start on one side of the window and finish on the other!
SHARON, when you've mentioned Scott Depot, I've always thought it was a place like a mall or a store )like Home Depot). Googled it today and figure that's where Andrew lives. Is he a music teacher/musician? I seem to recall reading something about him conducting an orchestra in December - that was just shortly after I joined the blog.
CAROLANNE, beautiful snow pics ... better you than me though! =)
Hoping LYNN feels up to checking in soon. Prayers and more prayers for you, girl!! I played tennis this AM with a lady who is currently on another round of chemo for ovarian cancer. She didn't win but was playing just fine. LYNN, I don't think you're a tennis player but I'm hoping that you will soon feel well enough to do whatever brings you joy!
LORI, Denny said he uninstalled Lightroom - he could tell that he would never get the hang of it, even in 30 days!
DMO, your avatar is just so cute!! Almost makes me wish I taught kinders so I could wear outfits like that! It's got to make going to work fun! Of course, I could try wearing a get-up like that to middle school - I'm sure I'd get a reaction! =)
Sandi-Civil Engineering is what he currently is, what he is contemplating is unknown. Loves all the math, not liking the physics. He is very hard on himself. I think he sees it as a reason that it is not the right major for him. Advised him to go talk to an advisor and look online for careers in math (not a teacher he has no patience). I really see him as an engineer, but it has to be what he wants. Now he is worried that he should stay at Dayton because he isn't going to stay in engineering and the cost is too much. I feel bad for these kids sometimes, they feel so much pressure abnd have a hard time figuring out how to live up to the expectations of society and us as parents.
DanaMo, sorry I forgot to ask for a follow-up on your A-team earlier. Not there and don't know Aric but will share what I offer when students (sometimes seniors) ask me what they should be when they grow up. Follow your heart. Take time, think it through, listen to your parents advice, but follow your heart not necessarily the money. Do what you believe will make you feel good about who you are at the end of each day. An adviser is good -- a caring professor is better.
DMO, if Aric is happy at Dayton, then he should stay at Dayton, even if he changes his major. I'm sure you and Monte told him that. Brian started at University of Delaware. At the end of his freshman year, he transferred to Towson University AND changed his major. But he transferred b/c he just wasn't happy at UD ... of course, it was very nice for us that he went from an out of state school to an in-state school! Hope he gets some good advice from someone at school!
Hi this is Judy's daughter Angie I hacked in haha you know I thought about how lucky my mom is to have great peps in her life like you guys allso you guys are lucky to have met my mom too. Dagnabit. The new blog format makes it hard to scroll around.
Been texting with Lynn this morning. She slept well but is still sore and weak.
Good morning my eagle peeps.
I was yet again a sleepy head today.
Sharon....thank you for the update! So good to hear. I got a "mending" impression.
Thank you.
It's naptime now T-Bird. :)
Of course you all probably know that Sharon is safely in Scott Depot with Andrew and that Beverly, Tom, and Mattie have had the weekend to get their boat and camper in order. They are both in heaven I'm sure. Me and the dogs are holding up the home front just fine.
Egg roll and wiggle down.
Shep now facing 6.
Was wondering if my greeting would take me beyond 200; I see that it did.
Good to know that Lynn slept well, but sorry to learn that she still feels sore and weak.
Prayers, Lynn.
Hope to see you later today.
Shep took off but I did not see that.
I do see two eggs in the nest.
Now wait. Did Belle return? I keep missing the action.
Yeah. I'm sure she's back and positioned about 12 ish.
Now positioned in the 3 ish.
Hallmark ran Jesse Stone movies last night.
Now sitting on the eggs.
Thank you Sharon for Lynn's morning status.
Good morning Shirley.
Yes, I thank you also, Shar♥n, and hope you enjoy your day today with Andrew and Kelsey

I am sure he had to share that popcorn!♥
CarolAnne - all of your snow pictures are fantastic! Loved them all - thanks for sharing! ♥
I think I lost a few pounds. Didn't have much of an appitite for a few days after surgery. The rehab place did have biscuits and sausage grave one moning. Food at the rehab place was pretty good most of the time. Diane took me out this morning to my favoriet place for breakfast. Got my fill of sausage gravy and biscuits. lol
Glad I'll be here for the hatchings. I'm expecting Shep to be a good father and keep everyone fed.
Now its nap time. See ya later
Loretta I almost turned into a robot
with the double word verification! ♥
Take care Red! Look forward to hearing from you soon again.
Hunter is spending the day with his dad.
All is calm so I will take a break
BBILW
Back from church and errands. I'm ready for a nap. I'll wait though until Monte and Aric take off.

A GREAT SUNDAY
TO YOU ALL.

It's supposed to top 80° in So Cal today, and the winds have shifted around to the normal on-shore direction ... humidity will likely be up too.
I hope the heavy winds and tornadoes haven't hit your area.

Eagle poofed. Eggs alone. Not sure which eagle because I just logged on. Oh, eggs being taken care of already.
Belle?
I think so.

Ok so I'm on this page now...will read this pne...it's quiet time here while Gianni is napping...watching a movie
It's great to see you back on the blog, Red. Happy to hear your hip is serving you well now also.
Did they install an auxiliary gravy storage tank while they were in there? That gravy is good stuff, and you could use some extra storage, I bet.
C(°ٿ°)D Jim
...
Beagle thanks for the nest updates...didn't know Jordan lake was back on...will have to peek at them later
Guess crc only has the one chick?
Oh yes...snow flurries her around noontime

Home from church. 69 and sunny! Going to mop some floors, make some pizza, and head to Dallas soon.
There were an awful lot of post and I was fearful of what I would read. No...just a lot of friendly chatter!! Yea!
LoLLY, you are amazing the amount of traveling, cooking and cleaning you can do in a day!
The Raptors were all here for their gathering around 11...they've been coming every day around 11 - 1. No BV eggs in the "barn," yet. I wonder if TV's would nest so close to BV's?
Expecting hatching a week or so away, I
got my big box of Oatmeal Cream Pies
ready to go...... ♥
LOL Jo! I think you look for any chance to have Oatmeal Cream Pies!
My Zacharooski just called me. I think he is ready for us to come over. Gotta get busy!

I am still baffled as to why he had the late shift - but I was glad that one of you saw a switch around 2am for Belle to take over.
Really appreciate all of your reporting and also all the pics from the nest into the E_M albums & your videos on your own blogs or FB
I am busy with March's birthdays.

Loretta went back and checked out your new set of pictures. Really a nice setup that you and Kathy did. Thank you for sharing.
In comes Belle with a stick. OPut goes Shep
Belle just landed with a big stick. Shep poofed right away. Belle has moved the stick to the rails around 3 and is settling on the eggs.
Belle positions the stick towards three and moves to the cup area where she rolls the eggs and settles in.
I just woke up from a nap - not something I do very often, but Bella was very happy to curl up on the sofa with me. I was checking emails when I saw Belle fly in. Another smooth parent switch!

These 2 are really working like a team! We can only hope they work so well together once there are eaglets to feed!
LOL
I am off for a while now...BBL errands and exercise call...
Major headache has kept me off the computer for awhile. Seems to be fading...
Race is on tv, sloppy joe's ready for dinner and Aric on the plane and heading back to Dayton.
Good try Hoda, it's not hard to get confused with all the A names
Andrew-community college oldest 21 (next month)
Aric-University of Dayton-who just told me he may be changing his major oy vey! More for mom to worry about. He was pretty upset when he left. Hopefully we talked him through it. What is a parent to say!Geez, where is the manual!!!!
Adam-Junior in HS
Annemarie-8th grade.
DMO, what is Aric's major and what is he contemplating?
One of our middle school teachers dressed up as a pumpkin because she lost a bet with her class. It was pretty funny!
In that previous comment it should read he is "worried that he should NOT stay at Dayton"
Evening, all.
Home from sitting the gkids...heading over to friends for dinner shortly
DanaMo, sorry I forgot to ask for a follow-up on your A-team earlier. Not there and don't know Aric but will share what I offer when students (sometimes seniors) ask me what they should be when they grow up. Follow your heart. Take time, think it through, listen to your parents advice, but follow your heart not necessarily the money. Do what you believe will make you feel good about who you are at the end of each day. An adviser is good -- a caring professor is better.
Lolly, enjoy the pizza, kids, gkids and the game!
OK, I'm off to feed dogs and people! BBL!
Good Sunday Evening Friends!!
