Dear Steve..thank you...I see I am the first one to discover this wonderful New Thread... am so sorry to hear you have an illness, prayers for rapid recovery.
THank goodness I finally found you. That was weird.....sent out an SOS---sorry, Margy, Jo, Shirley!! It was as if it took the page about 5 mins. to show anything. Never had that happen before!
BEagle.....you DID make the split....you were 400 and 401! You win the WAX! Now ask us what that is!!
Feels like the new thread has a touch of the virus. It just had the home page - blank.... It ran and ran forever and then Kaboom! there it was - a new Thursday thread.
Wanda, I have gotten my last two coffeemakers at Dollar General.....first lasted about 4 yrs., and this one is probably going on 3. So much more convenient than the big box stores!
Shirley, good luck with the vacuum. They don't make them like they used to. Carolyn goes through one a year...slobby kids and hairy dogs. I am only on my 2nd one in 18 yrs.!!
Sure can understand what you mean about the bifocals not aligning right. Someone mentioned the mono vision contacts---tried them and could never adjust the depth perception right enough to drive! THen got bifocals lenses----not too long before I started chemo....couldn't wear them then because of how dry my mucous membranes got. Have just never tried again! I REALLY would like to have my cataracts get worse so I could get the Crystal Vision lenses!!
BEagle, I don't know how it all started, but some others remember, I'm sure. Whenever someone made the split they got wax.....even tried to give it to Red one time but he rejected it!!!!! Sissy was the wax master!!!! If you click on my blog and email me your email address I can send you the story....but someone else will have to tell you how and why it all started here!!!
Lynn, I used just one contact for years, but then I needed glasses for reading and I did not like having no depth perception with the different lenses for each eye. Also, I just see better with glasses. I need all the help I can get when I commute 30 miles every day, especially when I have to drive in the dark. So I got regular glasses with all of the bells and whistles.
Nope, not an army, just my family, 6 adults, 3 kids two of which eat like adults. Laurel is a good cook but she can not afford to cook for the clan. Ashley, well Ashley is not much help.
Also, everyone wants a different kind of pie. Several want apple, and Joseph craves pumpkin and of course the pecan, because we have pecans. Also, I am cooking for several days of family here. Laurel will be here til Monday and Michael until Sunday.
Oh yes I had a good belly laugh at Shirley's post about her doctor taping her glasses to her forehead!
And then she decided to come straight on home...
Yes Paula, Lynne answered about the calendar.....same one! It has been forever, maybe truly forever, since there was an Eagle on those calendars, and only one Osprey in the 12 or so years' worth of WV DNR calendars that I have saved...
wow we loaded up this new thread with comments pronto!
I have to apologize...did NOT get all my Christmas cards sent out on time....so there could be some floating around in the week between Christmas and New Year's I just plain ran out of time :(
Here's a Christmas present for me and my family, a report from one of my sister Anne's (aka Babo)'s daughters:
"Babo is doing great. She is cooking, doing light housework and seems almost 100%! She is still experiencing pain but has some exercises prescribed to try to help relieve it.
Thank you for all the continued prayers.
A Merry Christmas indeed!"
Yes, Thank YOU all for the continued prayers....this is truly miraculous, we thought we were going to lose her in October xoxo ♥
Ya'll did much better than I did on Christmas cards! I didn't get mine done, will send an ecard instead!
Looly, bet those pecan pies are good. My favorite! My grandmother used to shell pecans and send them to my Mom, she made the best pecan pie! So Ashley's not a vook, eh?
Ashley is not going to make the effort to vook. And, when she does vook, she makes a big production of it. One time I asked her make something. She did, she brought all the ingredients and made it in my kitchen. I had to be in there to tell her where everything was and actually ended up doing the vooking.
Goodnight to all turning in. I'm sure we all have plenty to do tomorrow yet! I have cinnamon rolls to make, and need to dust one more time! Having a puppy ripping and running sure stirs it up!
BTW----leash lesson went VERY well today. She only tried to pull once!
Church tomorrow is not an early evening service, and Christie can't stay up for it at 11pm since she has to be at work at the horspital at 6AM Sat. So I'm going to go to our little local Presby church with Frank and Irene at 11! Will need to find time for an evening nap!
Do not want to get on my bandwagon but Ashley does not vook, does not clean house, does not do her own laundry. Her mom does everything that does not go to the cleaners. She has a maid once a week.
Sorry to hear of your illness and hope you get well soon.
Thanks for everything you & John do for us and the cam. We know it cuts into your regular duties and we reallly appreciate your helping us stay in informed.
Good one, Lynne----what did the pranksters do? Run extension cords TO neighboring homes' outdoor outlets?? Or run them from their OWN nearby homes??? That would be funny.
Locally....another bank robbery yesterday. At a DRIVE-UP window. Duh.....I'd fire any teller who turned over money. The glass is bullett-proof. Duck, lock the door (usually an automatic thing with the push of a button) and call police!!
I just feel sorry for her Mother. She has no life.
Ashley, is an only child, spoiled rotten by her mother and still is spoiled rotten. She is highly intelligent but very self centered. She is an attorney too. They met in law school.
I am heading to bed. I am so ready to close my eyes. Not a whole lot of vooking tomorrow. Laurel and Jack are doing the "orders" for our party after church. However, come to think of it...tomorrow I make the dressing and yeast rolls. Yes, I could have bought rolls but the homemade ones are soooo good.
Nighty Nite! It is almost Christmas Eve...so Merry Christmas Eve!!!
Sorry to see Steve is ill! Please get better for Holidays. Thank you for all you do!
Can't believe it's this late again. All my Xmas stuff's been done, except tomorrow I might do some more vaking!--fruit, nut breads. Santa programmed the new TV in AM & I've been trying to find when Ralphie will be playing.Sometimes they do marathon on Xmas day, but we'll be busy! Talked to daughter in Austin & then (about 8 PM) it was 64°, but tomorrow just 50°!
Time to say Pleasant Feather Dreams & prayers for all ;>)
Hi, Gang, Have had an extremely BUSY day today, running all over creation getting things done. Sorry for not checking in here! Please accept my apology!
Took Emma for her vet visit this morning, and she is GREAT! She got another set of puppy vaccinations, and completely impressed the vet and her staff. Her happy little tail NEVER stopped wagging a mile a minute, even when getting her shots, and a 2nd dose of wormer, AND one vaccination that is in the form of nose drops! Vet said she is one BRAVE little puppy! She has been little Miss Enthusiasm all day. She was just frantic to meet every person, dog, and cat in the vet's office! (We felt it best to keep her away from the other dogs, but she met all the people!) Can't wait till 1/15 when she gets her last set of shots. Shortly after that, we can take her to dog parks, and for long walks on the River bike trail! She will LOVE that! BTW, she weighed 10# 2 oz. today, so she's gained 2 pounds since our last visit on 12/4. I learned how to clean out her ears today, so she hopefully won't be growing any potatoes in there!
We met my Sis-in-law for lunch. Had a great time catching up on the latest. We went grocery shopping, and got a nice prime rib roast for Christmas dinner. Went to Petco and got Emma a new chew toy, a new, slightly larger collar, for when she outgrows her current one, and a pink "Body Glove" puppy shirt. Now she can look like a "surfer girl" when we take her to the beach!
While at Petco, we got a chance to meet a HUMUNGOUS Irish Wolfhound that was there to be groomed for Christmas! He was SOOO gorgeous, and sweet!
Today the weather was nice--huge clouds in the sky, but sunny, so it dried out a lot, thank God! I got busy late this afternoon and swept all the leaves, twigs, tree berries, and dead earthworms off our front walk, the driveway, the neighbor's driveway, the walk to our side gate, and the whole length of our sidewalk. Phew! Was pretty tired when I finished, but it all looks SO much better now! We even had an unused heron nest blow or get washed out of our tree in the front yard. Took a day and a half before the standing water soaked in enough so we could get to it and put it in the trash. It's constructed of sticks about a foot or 1-1/2 feet long, and almost looks like a mini eagle's nest. Must have really rained HARD to have knocked it down intact!
Steve, thank you for the new thread, and sorry to hear that you are under the weather. Prayers that you will be feeling MUCH, MUCH better in time for Christmas! Have a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Margy, What a marvelous, miraculous report about Anne! God has truly done something WONDERFUL! Couldn't be happier for you and your big family!
Lynne, See that you posted today, but didn't say how you are feeling. Hope you and Steve are MUCH, MUCH better, too! Prayers to that effect going up from this roost!
Lynn, Sounds like Mai is an A student! That's GREAT! Emma does pretty well, but wants to run off on a tear, and when she finds that she can't, throws a bit of a hissy fit, running in circles and getting me all tangled up. Most of the time she's fine, but just gets too frisky occasionally.
Hey, I see that it's officially Christmas Eve out here on Pacific time! HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE, EVERYONE!
Well, better go try to get some sleep before Little Miss Muffet (aka Emma) wakes up and wants to go out!
Making sure the night light, porch light, and Christmas lights are on. Prayers have been said for everyone. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Sleep all snug in your beds or recliners, everyone, and I'll be back tomorrow. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! :o]
will be going to Shepherdstown straight afterwards to meet up with the grandson James for a few hours.... he is with his "other" maternal grandma's with his Dad
I have not seen any Eagles in the nest, think they are doing some Christmas Eve fishing looks like sunshine rays are striking the Sycamore Palace
My very best wishes to all on this day, prayers for safe travel and peaceful, joyful moments
Just think..the "shortest day" is now behind us...soon after the holidays we start to think of Springtime ☺
GOOD MORNING... GLO, do tell us the temperature there, so that we can be happy for your good fortune in being with your son! It is 29° here and no eagle sighting in the nest:(
Good Christmas Eve morning to all. Papers are read, fire is built up, 2nd load of laundry is in the dryer......getting ready to start making the cinnamon rolls.
Diann.....hope the drafts chase the SB's away!
Nice pics, Lynne!
Margy---have a nice evening with James and crew!
Shirley, hope the vacuum cleaner does a super job!
Andy, Emma isn't as big as Mai. She weighs 16# as of yesterday morning on my scales!! Too bad the heron nest came down. Bet it did make a mess!

Hope you feel better soon, Steve!
Margy, I put a post on the old thread with a link you'll want to see!
It's still happening, no threads showing up on the blog home page! Guess everyone is still lost!
Hi Steve. I am so sorry to hear that you have "the bug!" You are in my prayers for a quick recovery.
Thank you for the thread.
Thank you for the call over mOVIN!
Hello everybody. It's late isn't it?

Thanks, Margy, for the call-over. And, thanks, Steve, for the new thread.
I have been over on the old thread with BEagle. She just did her first split, and it was exciting for both of us.
The blog is going very slow. It's taking forever to load a new page.
Okey Dokey Paula, I think I have a lot of catching up to do !
I'll be back after I read and read and read !
I think I just did a split on the last thread.
SEE? I DID A SPLIT!!!!
Yes, you did BEagle.
Blog definitely acting weird, it wasn't showing the threads.
Steve, this is NOT the time to be sick. Get well! Merry Christmas to you, your family and the NCTC crew.
Odd. I did not have any problem finding the new thread.
Hope you are feeling better, Steve.
Holy Moly it was tough getting here!
WAX, BEagle!! WOO HOO!
No word from Andy since yesterday evening....sure hope they aren't having any trouble out there....
Feels like the new thread has a touch of the virus. It just had the home page - blank.... It ran and ran forever and then Kaboom! there it was - a new Thursday thread.
Good Evening All
Hedgie is still trying.....
What is the wax?
Time to head upstairs. Much to do tomorrow.
We got food shopping done today, thank goodness.
Kathryn has tomorrow off, so we can clean the house together.
Wanda, I have gotten my last two coffeemakers at Dollar General.....first lasted about 4 yrs., and this one is probably going on 3. So much more convenient than the big box stores!

Looly is lost over on the other thread so I'm gonna go save her!
Whew!!!! I finally made it! Took forever for the new thread to pop up!
Now, Lolly is lost on the old thread.
I have them both up.
ROFLMBO Looly is so tired of vooking!
oh good, you made it!
Welcome, Lynn and Lolly.
Lolly, are you trying to feed an army?
I was very happy my son vooked dinner for me this evening. : ) Love that young man.
And, Shirley, still giggling thinking of your glasses taped to your forehead.
Is Looly related to Lolly?
BEagle, I don't know how it all started, but some others remember, I'm sure. Whenever someone made the split they got wax.....even tried to give it to Red one time but he rejected it!!!!! Sissy was the wax master!!!! If you click on my blog and email me your email address I can send you the story....but someone else will have to tell you how and why it all started here!!!

Margy that is just wonderful news concerning Anne's improvement!
Another Prayer Power Miracle. ♥
Yep, Looly is very tired and silly. Wine is not helping. :)
Boys are in bed. They were so great tonight. No fighting just playing and laughing a lot.
Well when I awaken it is going to be the eve of Christmas. Children of all ages will be excited.
Going to hit the pillows shortly and need some time before to pick up!
Good Night Everyone and Prayers for all needs/wants!

Goodnight everyone.
Tomorrow is a big day.
Prayers for you and yours ♥
Nite BEagle!
I'm still here, Lolly, was saying goodnite to everyone else! Just finished cleaning. Trying to look at my to do list!
Lolly, do they eat out a lot then?
I'm still here....just had a shower.
BUT, I'm putting on some water for hot chocolate now!
Paula, they eat out all the time! Thus that is why Zach is so enthralled with the Valet key cabinet.
Lolly, they obviously don't do Mickey D's, do they????
Mmmmm....pumpkin bread turned out swell!
Do not want to get on my bandwagon but Ashley does not vook, does not clean house, does not do her own laundry. Her mom does everything that does not go to the cleaners. She has a maid once a week.
This is too funny....
Stolen Decorations
well good grief what DOES she do?
Sorry to hear of your illness and hope you get well soon.

Right on, Paula!!!
Hope they pay her mother!!
Gonna call it a day here. Almost time for those sugar-plum dreams!!! Rest well, dear friends. Prayers for all.
I just feel sorry for her Mother. She has no life.
Ashley, is an only child, spoiled rotten by her mother and still is spoiled rotten. She is highly intelligent but very self centered. She is an attorney too. They met in law school.
I think he told the teller he knew where they lived and what cars they drove
:(
he was probably hoaxing it but pretty scary thought
oh by the way
Tomorrow is Red Friday
now, more than ever...for our Military Folks ♥
I am heading to bed. I am so ready to close my eyes. Not a whole lot of vooking tomorrow. Laurel and Jack are doing the "orders" for our party after church. However, come to think of it...tomorrow I make the dressing and yeast rolls. Yes, I could have bought rolls but the homemade ones are soooo good.
Nighty Nite! It is almost Christmas Eve...so Merry Christmas Eve!!!
Stopping by to say goodnight. I'm heading to my recliner and blanket.
Sure is windy out there and I can feel a breeze while sleeping. ♫♪this old house♪♫♪... has many passageways only known by the stink bugs. eeeeeek

PRAYERS FOR ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Hi, Gang,
Have had an extremely BUSY day today, running all over creation getting things done. Sorry for not checking in here! Please accept my apology!
Took Emma for her vet visit this morning, and she is GREAT! She got another set of puppy vaccinations, and completely impressed the vet and her staff. Steve, thank you for the new thread, and sorry to hear that you are under the weather. Prayers that you will be feeling MUCH, MUCH better in time for Christmas! Have a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
Margy,
What a marvelous, miraculous report about Anne! God has truly done something WONDERFUL! Couldn't be happier for you and your big family!

Good morning everyone. Wishing you all a great Christmas Eve Day and a very Merry Christmas.
GOOD MORNING...
GLO, do tell us the temperature there, so that we can be happy for your good fortune in being with your son!
It is 29° here and no eagle sighting in the nest:(
Local weather says only snow flurries on Saturday and Sunday. Sounds good to me:)
