Thank you Steve for the morning thread and I heard you calling Lolly!
I'm repeating my old thread message: Good Thursday Morning! One more wake up - I am starting to get more and more anxious as each hour passes. Christine said this on FB as to their time 6 hrs ago: Less than 24 hours and we will be on the way to the airport. Guess I better get those last min things done, which would require a shower.
Now My Red Friday will be complete when that crane comes rolling up to the sycamore. Love your avatar Loretta
Good morning all! Went back and read the "blob". LOL! Gotcha, Lynne! Came back to this thread and still no one here!
Had a good nights sleep until Annie decided it was time for me to get up. She climbed on top of me (I was on my side). She was purring and mewing softly and then started rubbing her mouth in my hair. Bless her!
Think I will do an assessment of presents bought and then get out and try to finish up. Wouldn't that be nice!
Oh, there is some one here, An important someone! Good morning, Jo! Feel your excitement about tomorrow. So happy for your family. What a great Christmas it will be.
Thank you Steve for the new thread and Lolly for the call over.
Mema Jo you are making me and I think everyone so very excited. As I am sure all of us are for you. Especially when you wrote on the other blog, " Christine said this on FB as to their time 6 hrs ago: Less than 24 hours and we will be on the way to the airport".
Loretta love your crane avatar. I hope it is wishing us good luck for Friday.
Hedgie-Lynn hoping Mai's appointment this afternoon goes very well and that vet can ease your mind.
Lolly glad Letha is helping go through things before she leaves. That helps Joey and Laurel out. Sorry the rest are doing nothing. I know in some families when someone passes. True signs really come out in peoople. Yes you will be helping Laurel do that job.
Andy so happy Emma is doing so well and is filling out a little. She sounds like a hoot. (: Awww I love the new picture. Cute for a man that didn't want a dog lol
Jo, I think you may just have had your last "wake up" before the gang gets here because I think that you may to too excited to get any sleep tonight in order to wake up tomorrow!
I overheard a discussion last night between Will and Susan about whether it would be okay for Kathryn to leave me alone long enough to take Hunter to school this morning. Very sweet of them to be so concerned.
I am sure I am perfectly able to manage on my own, but Kathryn is here now. I am not ready to go out and drive a car. I'm still taking pain pills. I am going to need someone to take me to doctor appointments when I figure out where I'm going. It could be somewhere like Charlottesville if I get workman's comp.
I would also scare people out in public right now. I look like I have been in a fistfight.
Soldier's Delight, a nature center up the road near us is having an Open House on Saturday for their aviary! They have an EAGLE! And I will be there to see!
I need to Jake Proof my house...I'm babysitting neighbor Jake for a few hours but here for a while as the cleaning lady is next door at the moment. Jake is almost 2, and very, VERY busy!
Well, I think Kathryn is enjoying her time off. She has been wanting to watch Sex and the City 2, and she can't do that when Hunter is around. I guess it is okay for her to watch it--she is my little girl-- but I have to let her grow up, don't I?
Actually, I went with her and Susan to see the first one. They enjoyed watching me watch it. I had not kept up with the television program.
Is Kat on vacation, or did she take time off to nurse you, Shirley? Good daughter!!! Don't know about the Gas-X---why not call vet and ask??? Worth a try. Christie and Shannon's weimeraner Harley is the true gas machine----pew!!!!
Can't imagine that there aren't comp Drs. around F'burg, Shirley!
We will see, Lynn. I have never had to use workman's comp before, but every time I get involved with the medical community there, they act like there are no doctors in Fredericksburg and that I'm silly when I say I'd rather not go so far as Charlottesville.
We had a German shepherd that tooted every time the doorbell rang. Such a lovely greeting for guests.
She also tooted in the car because she got excited every time she saw another vehicle. She tried to catch them. My ex encouraged it, and it came back to haunt him. I guess he thought it was cute in a puppy.
It was not cute in a full-grown German shepherd. She barked, tooted, and slapped you in the face with her tail while she jumped around, eventually snapping her teeth right by your ears as the car passed by.
Have managed to read most of the comments back to Saturday, and see that Faye passed away. Lolly, please accept my belated condolences for you and Laurel and Joey, and the whole family.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CINDI!!! Hope it's a wonderful day for you, and no tumbling allowed!
Gosh, you folks back east are sure getting some cold weather! Not so bad here--45 degrees this morning, and going up to about 70. After enduring 6 below zero during our stay in Minden, NV for Thanksgiving, 45 feels like a tropical heat wave!
Mema Jo, Don't know how you are managing to contain yourself--what a reunion this is going to be! SOOO happy for you! Gosh, I can't wait, either!
I'm really anxious to see what they find out about the nest tree when the crane shows up tomorrow. I am certainly hoping for the best for Belle and Lib!
Well, better go get some housework and homework done. Little Emma is sleeping soundly after breakfast and a successful trip outdoors--now's my chance! Will check back in later.
Hoping that Shirley and Judie have a pain-free day, and that they get lots of healing done! :o]
Good morning, Steve. Thank you for the Thursday thread. Did ya check out Shirley's crane avatar? Cool!
Shirley, just had a thought: this would be the perfect time to go out shopping -- one look and other shoppers would imagine what the other person looks like and be so afeared of you they would let you have whatever you want.
Apologies to those I have missed. And for the words I have left out. Or misspelled. Please, everyone...be careful, dress for this weather and don't try to be superwoman!
Suzan, it's as easy for a puppy to wrap us as a baby, isn't it??? Mai is awake. Been out and eaten, too. Does not seem as rambunctious today---SO FAR!!!!
GOOD AFTERNOON... I was reading about Andrea's feeding procedure for Emma...No water an hour before and an hour after eating. I am no expert on dogs or people, but it seems to me that, at least, after eating dry dog food, puppy would need water. What say you Lynne, Lynn?? Hope thing go well for Baby Mai, today at the Vet and that she doesn't upchuck on the Doc:)
Have been talking to human resources about workman's comp. Good grief. What a tangled mess of regulations. I may be out of pain medication before they straighten it out.
Shirley, I bet if we went shopping together we could clear a store in five seconds flat -- imagine holiday shopping with no crowds!lol
Thank you, Suzan.
I am beginning to get a better sense of all the medicare & regulations issues. Sometimes I just want to say never mind, I'll pay cash. Need a prescription renewed today and military refused doctor's phone order so now Darth has to drive to the doctor's office, get the paper script, and take it to the military pharmacy.
Well, we can think fun thoughts about Jo's family arrival and the crane arrival and maybe a new cam arrival. I feel better already.
Lynn, glad Ms. Mai seems to be more settled today. Good luck at the vet.
Gosh so much going on an dall of you are very important. Prayers for those healing form their falls. I have made myself slow down some now as I do stairs and especially on ice and snow. Falls happen so very quickly.
Hugs pets and whatever to the critters in your worlds young and old :-)
MeMa Jo what can I say. I hope there will be cameras and pictures of the minute when you are once again in the arms of those you love so very much. Cranes Yes I too will check in for tomorrows news although I do plan another trip to the dam. Got maybe 2 or 3 trips before heading to GA for a few weeks. Short eagle season fo rme this year.
Shirley, just keep your receipts, so they can re-imburse you!!
We'll see what Lynne says, Wanda...but I was a little concerned, too, about the no water regimen that Andy has....dry kibble sticks in a little throat, I would think, too. I just have a little in the bowl because I don't want her to get too much that could cause the food to swell in her little belly. Have always heard to take up food if not eaten in five minutes, but that fresh water should always be available.
I expect I will run out of pain medication before I get another prescription. If I want to get workman's comp, I am not allowed to go to my own doctor.
I have to see a doctor that does not know my history. And the lady in HR asked me to give her a couple of hours. By then, it will be too late to get an appointment, and I am wondering if I will be able to see anyone before Monday. It would be less complicated if they don't approve it, and I can see my own doctor.
Right now, I am saving pills for tonight.
The other thing she told me is that they expect me to arrange all appointments so that they are outside of work hours. It gets stranger and strange.
Shirley I hope they get it straightened out so you can have the pain med. It is needed!!! grrr Make appointments outside of work hours. How does she think you are suppose to go to work!!! Some are dumb then others are dumber and I think you got a jewel of a one on the phone Shirley.
Shirley, how nice of Kathryn to stay with you today. Hope the insurance stuff isn't too much of a mess. Love your crane, and Loretta's too.
Jo, will you get to see Gdaughter tomorrow?
Lolly, so glad all went well at the service. So nice of Letha to help Laurel. It can be a daunting task, and I know they can't get it all done this week, but any help is good.
Lynne, so cool about your upcoming eagle visit!
Guess Dana is excited about her upcoming visitor too!
I am hoping some of YOU are around tomorrow while the crane is at the nest. Just in case they ask on the blog here what the picture looks like. I won't be here to help. Like we did last time. Jim, Wanda, Hedgie or someone. Hope you are on the blog tomorrow to help in case they ask.
When I get back hopefully the live cam will be up. I am wondering what they decided about the tree. If it is going to take a tumble in a year or two???
I would think our eagles would stay near by. Due to they haven't been afraid around NCTC people comings and goings. Plus they do have the pond behind the guards house for turtles and the river is close by. So if something happens to the tree. Maybe they will just chose another near by. Oh I hope and pray we can continue to be able to watch Liberty and Belle and their future eaglets.
Yes Paula thank you I am excited. Just a short while ago got off phone with daughter. She was making arrangements for up here for rental car. She has a friend picking her up from airport.
OMG seriously this post just continues to amaze me. So here we are at the Bamberg Inn and they put us in a "VIP" suit above the Warner Club. Well guess what the Warner Club did not tell the Bamberg Inn that they were having an event. Here it is almost 10 pm and they are blaring the music so load and the base is vibrating our room. I guess no sleep for us tonight.
We are all saying that they will all be able to sleep on the flight - I told her that if the base had a good beat for her to get up and do Zumba exercises!
Yay, I got two appointments for tomorrow. One with a dentist and one with a primary care doctor. I have temporary approval. The lady at HR has been doing the best she can. And she has seen me. She knows how awful I look.
Wow Shirley, what a mess WC is! I cannot believe they won't get you in somewhere soon. And LOL on NOT making appts. during work hours! HA! Maybe THEY have Drs available after work?
Regarding dry kibble and water...there is something that can happen to dogs, commonly called bloat. It happens when swallowed air doesn't get released from the stomach. There are no clear cut reasons why this happens, and it usually only happens in large breed dogs, and dogs with deep, narrow chests. The gas filled stomach stretches, and will press on nearby organs; blood supplies can get cut off, and the stomach can actually flip over. It is a serious medical emergency. Even with immediate treatment, some dogs die, and most are likely to bloat again. So during surgery which is the only treatment, many vets will "attach" the stomach so that it won't flip, hopefully.
Some evidence supports dry kibble can cause problems because of what Andy mentioned...the dry kibble in the stomach will expand with moisture.
However, as I said, it is more likely in very large and/or deep chested breeds. It often happens in dogs that eat REALLY fast. And dogs that are only fed their daily rations at one feeding. Dogs allowed to eat right before or after vigorous exercise, and dog who tend to drink large volumes of water before or after eating dry kibble. Also very high strung or nervous types. I personally have never seen a small dog,or a puppy, bloat. In fact most are older when it happens, if it does.
I don't think Lynn and Andy have anything to worry about. But I will say that it IS best to feed 2x a day (as an adult), make sure, especially if they gulp food really fast that no exercise precedes or follows a meal for at least one hour, and if the dog really does gulp a lot of water right before or after eating, it can be better to limit that. Even breeds, or pups that are not prone to bloat can still get gassy tummies and be uncomfortable. Otherwise, fresh water should be available all the time, and yes Lynn, general rule of thumb is food down for 5 minutes, and allow them to eat as much as they want in that time. As young pups only! But with Mai's yurping, see what the vet suggests.
Every dog and pup can be so different...some people can leave a bowl of food down and their dog will just nibble all day long. No such luck here!
Raven, as a collie which is a breed prone to bloat, and a dog who ate faster than the speed of sound, was only given kibble that had soaked in warm water til soft. I do the same with Daisy. Neither Raven nor Daisy ever even stopped to chew the food. Just inhaled!
Lynne, my Boo had bloat. I was lucky to get him to the vet right away...and yes they had to attach his stomach. Never had that problem with any of my other goldens.
Dana, it really makes it easier for them to eat...there are probably digestive benefits.
Lynne, I think that was about 3-4 years ago with Boo...he was either 4 or 5. Late in the evening, he crawled into his little cubby hole next to the deck, and wouldn't come out. I tried to drag him out, but he wouldn't budge. I figured he wasn't feeling good. I got up and checked on him several times during the night, as he was whining. Finally, around 7 or so, I was able to get him to move out, and when I felt his stomach, it was rock hard. I called the vet and they had me take him to the emergency hospital right away. They had him in surgery within 1 1/2 hours. I was really lucky he survived through the night before I was able to get him to the vet.
Lynne, my dogs are just like you describe...inhale their food, drink lots of water in the evening...but now I do make sure they are calmed down before dinner is served, and add a good bit of water to their food.
And, I make sure Boo burps after eating! Seriously!
The Germany Gang will be boarding the plane at 7am our time and arriving at 3:50pm our time. I've got some of the flight tracker sites and some friends that will be watching that big bird. Christine's mother is picking them up at Dulles and I should be going down into Frederick for my hugs and kisses before they collapse. Shirley they have had lots of snow there - schools have had 2 hr delays and early departures quite a few times. They will probably think it's warm here! I will have them all here for dinner and all our family Sat eve.
Raven belched after eating too Paula! You know, tomorrow is the year anniversary since we lost her :(
Bottom line on bloat is that no one has ever figured out exactly what causes it. The suggestions made by the experts are based on info gathered from owners. But even in laboratory testing (yes these things do go on)they have been unsuccessful in finding common cause, and also at even getting it to happen.
I'd like to say one more thing about dry food. Vets are really good at telling people that they should feed it instead of canned because it helps keep the teeth clean. WRONG!!!! I have seen hundreds of dogs come in for dental cleanings and almost all eat dry food, and their teeth are just as bad as the ones who eat canned!
We're back....what a trek. Mai was too big for the crate. Got her in okay, but out was a real trial. Door broke off (fixable)...but irrelevant cause she won't be using it! Put the blanket down and tied leash to overhead hand-hold thingy. She loved Bill....he thought she was okay, but "not a real dog", which I know is what SIL Charlie will say, too. He never liked my SharPei before, and was so distrustful---as if their old "warrior dog" Chinese moniker was still the case! Funny little story.....Bill never cared for them, either---or any dog much---but one day he was down on the floor working on a vent and Shang came over and started licking his head. After that he tolerated her much better!! Anyway.....had to wait in office for almost an hour!! Mai is one pooped pup. Was very frightened by a bulldog (beautiful brindle) and my a doxie!!! F-u-n-n-y!!
Lynne, I always wondered, because that was all Cinnamon ate and her tartar was terrible!! Thanks for all the valuable info. Vet said 1/3 to 1/2 cup at least twice a day and a third time wouldn't hurt right now. Hard to know for sure---foster mom said she weighed 15# Sat. She was only 13# today. She also thought that some seperation stress/anxiety may have contributed to her not eating and the vomiting. But since it was so limited she wasn't concerned. Everybody oohed and aahed over her and thought she was just a perfect pup!!
Horses get bloat, too, and their's can lead to another condition---the name escapes me right now---it amounts to a twisted intestine. We lost a horse due to it, despite intense vet efforts to save him.
Fantastic, Lynn! We all knew she was a fantastic pup already. :)
Had routine blood work done today then went shopping, Not exactly a successful day. Now I am getting ready for a Christmas party. Sad thing is I am not in the mood. Christmas spirit and done got up and gone! I think I have crashed. However, I am going as it is my only party with the friends that I love, so I know it will be good for me to go. Anyway, will be back much later.
Glad vet just thought stress/anixety. I bet she got a lot of ooh's and aah's. She is a beauty (:
Lolly YES YES go to the Christmas party. Friends are who you need to be around right now. Me I felt better just closed up. Then when Jo, Lynn, Christine, Janet and myself went to Red Bird it helped to be with them.
Well things might change for me as far as tomorrow (Friday). I may not be going out anywhere. Won't know until later tonight.
Jo then I have 3 shows to watch tonight too. Thanks for telling me.
Shirley, glad you seem to be getting things in order with doctors. I do hope the whole process goes smoothly and quickly. Pain pill and recliner will work a miracle.
Lynn, great news that Ms.Mai is just a bundle of nerves about her new home. She's going to be just fine with you to care for her.
Lolly, enjoy the party. Sometimes a little time away works wonders.
Jo, please enjoy to the fullest the reunion with the Germany bunch.
Lolly, do get out an enjoy, it will probably help!
Lynn, glad to her it's just stress. What did the vet say about the hernia?
Jo, glad you will be able to see the Germany gang tomorrow...and Saturday sounds even better!
Well, it looks like rain for my New York day on Sunday with Michael. Gonna have to figure out what to wear in the rain! Going to dinner tomorrow night for John's Birthday and Ajay's degree...she has her associate's degree and is now working towards her bachelor's degree.
My right knee is doing good that just had the surgery. The left knee that I had the total knee replacement was doing perfect. Until I fell at Ed's grave all those times. I can't do a lot of walking around on it. I have a return appt 12/30 so I will talk with him about it. He mentioned he wanted to talk to me about the left knee (that's one had total knee May 27, 2007) was perfect until I did all that falling.
Love your crane, Shirley. I thought of changing to that kind, as my BIL owned a crane co.!!Must be ESP. I'll stick w/the bird, as Wanda was wondering what species they were bringing!
I saw the funniest "pet" game today at Chelsea, except it was deer!A group was crossing the front yard field, nibbling on the way. Most had moved off to the left, but one youngster was right in middle in front of big holly tree. All of a sudden, it hopped in a U turn, ran all around in different directions like a bucking bronco! As it jumped/ran closer to the others, 2 other juvies started bucking, too! Reminded me of puppies/kittens playing! Got food ready to come out of oven, & gotta finish some other stuff! Since it's food time, all of you recuperating folks should take your percs & enjoy!! LOL ☺
Good Evening... Just got caught up on afternoon chatter. Interesting comments...we learn so much from each other. I'm so glad Baby Mai wasn't found to have anything serious, although it's sad to think that she stressed herself into barfing. I'm sure she is getting a lot of TLC from Momma Lynn and will be loping around the house as though she has always been there, soon. ((Baby Girl))
Paula, my knee is a wee bit better, but not enough for me to put my eagle can away. I am fortunate, however, to not have any pain when sitting or sleeping...only when walking. Thanks for your concern.
Lynn, sorry you didn't get your ribs...stop by GG's tomorrow evening and share some with us! I'm doing them in the oven, in an oven bag. Best way in my opinion.
Capt. Father Gene asked our guests at our last Soup Kitchen what they would like to eat the next time. They all agreed on Spaghetti. I will be cooking that meal. I have never cook spaghetti for more than 8 people, so that will be a challenge for me. We prepare for 25 people, just in case. I think I have it all pulled together in my mind.
My former sister's lab puppy got spayed where I was working at the time. She threw up one of the kid's socks when she woke up!
Raven, not long after I first got her, managed to pull a $20 bill out of my jeans pocket while I was in the shower one day. Oh yes indeed this too did pass, and I got it back!
We had a basset hound that was having serious problems, saw on rads that "something" was blocking the intestine. He gave birth to a full sized, intact corncob. VERY sick dog, long after surgery.
I could go on, but I won't bore you further! There is a show on either Nat Geo or Animal Planet called "My Dog Ate WHAT?"
Met Jenn a few years ago at a Nest Visit, I believe. She likes rocks, as I recall...gave her one of my Apache Tears rocks that I collected right outside Yellowstone Park a few years ago. Congrats to her!
Yes, Lynne, it was nice of him to ask...nice of him to volunteer me to cook it too:) He told the people that I was Italian and cooked a mean pot of spaghetti, so now they will be expecting a fantastic meal...hope they are not disappointed!
Oh, I have found whole socks in the backyard! And they didn't throw them up!
Wish the shot would do more for your knee Wanda. Less pain is an improvement, however. I'm sure your spaghetti will turn our great! You just need to triple your recipe!
There were a few tissues left, and I am not sure how many were in the box to begin with, but the box had definitely been chewed and tissues were pulled out.
One of the animals has been ill tonight, but no tissues yet. You do not want to know more.
LOL Wanda....FORMER because 3 years ago, for reasons known only to her and my mother, she cut me right out of her life. We were closer than 2 peas in a pod for many, many years. We were each others best friends. She has never had the guts to tell me why, either. She just stopped talking to me. And my former mother made sure it stayed that way. It's why I don't talk to my mother any more, only she knows why I don't. It was the straw that broke the back of a very strained relationship. It's just what my family does. Over and over and over again, and I lived for years with the destruction it caused, never understanding why, and always being chided for not taking sides. And quite frankly, it was very stressful being a part of it. And it took a long time, but I have made my peace with the way things are.
I have envied all of you who are so close and have such good relationships with your daughters. I never had that with my mother.
Shirley, Cinnamon was a tissue hound......couldn't put any in the bathroom trash or she would get them. She also did paper towels. Shang once ate a whole crew sock....and it came out the other end whole! Yuck!
Thanks, Wanda....too much to do here!! Think I am going to have to take the lower branches off the tree----argh!!
Paula, no one shows half-time activities or pre-game stuff either anymore unless it's Superbowl!
Lynne, don't know what Jenn's assignment was per se....apparently art class. Her pic was of a peace symbol superimposed in front of an angel! Will get Carolyn to email me a copy of it and then I'll post it.
Nighty-night to those hitting the hay (like the drugged ones, LOL)
Saw a couple second pic of Challenger before they went away for commercial in 2nd quarter. Was hoping for an eagles 1/2 time show, but guess there was none. Lynne, love your animal stories--we can all learn something. Wanda, bet your spaghetti will be superb! I love to make it, but I don't do homemade sauce, so it's pretty quick. Was trying to finish local cards & the nice gold roll of return address labels has disappeared!!!!!Do you think a cat ate them??They're on a plastic dispenser.duh
Oh, Lynne, so sorry for all you have been through. Family dynamics can be so dysfunctional....never an easy thing to deal with. Just rise above it!! And you have! Have fun at Irvine tomorrow!
BTW---did NOT know those two strange facts you stated about horses!
Lynn, congrats on your Jenn's award! I was thinking you might have seen deer do that since they come thru your yard. I think I really see more wildlife at Chelsea than at the Park.Of course if I could do stuff outside of the Vis. Ctr., I might! Dear Lynne, sorry you had to put up w/that kind of behavior. We have relatives (in-law side)who will get mad about something & not speak to the other clueless party for 6 or more months! No one ever knows why!Foolish, childish & they're only hurting themselves staying angry. Well that's enough from Dr. Loretta~~~you just have to ignore it somehow & be close w/other family & friends.
Woke up after a brief snooze. Will catch up in the a.m.
Turning my light off but leaving the night light on for others with puppies to go out, for someone who may be awake waiting to welcome family home, for anyone in need of a pain killer, or anyone who just stumbles in.
Pleasant dreams of eagles, and Sycamores, and giant cranes.
Loretta and Wanda....you said the same thing I was going to say to Lynne: she has US to be her family---moms, sisters, whatever she needs us to be!
Paula, are you heading up after work? Have a fantabulous time!
Margy, glad you checked in! Was wondering what was happening in your little corner!
Dana, know you are gone, but wondered how you fell so many times at the cemetery???? Mai is sleeping soundly....hope I can get in my bath before she awakes!
Rest well, one and all. Prayers for healing and safety.
Back from my TV shows and now it is catch up! I see my Momster with a crane is here! Young deer are so much fun to watch when they are playing. I can remember it as clear as day and it must have been 5 years ago when I watched 2 playful young deer out on the back lawn.
Hope Lolly was glad she went to the Christmas party.
See Shirley is ready to doze in recliner.
So glad Mai is gotten her checkup from vet. She will be giving Mom kisses in AM.
Lynne don't worry you are not alone is the "former sister" catagatory. We were so close at one time. Then it was off and on. Only because I would always go and say I was sorry. To begin the relationship again. Even though I didn't know what I did. This time I did something. She came to Ed's viewing. She was unhappy with me at the viewing as some Momsters that were there know. Wanda can tell you she wasn't a happy camper. Had nothing to do with Ed dieing. Then she never came to the grave side service and when I called she said she never wanted to talk to me again. She hasn't and I am not going and begging this time. I am done with that foolish stuff. Sorry you have the same things; ie "former sister" I as do.
Well, Jo, I am so glad the weather will permit your Germany Family to get to your roost tomorrow. It will be very cold but hugs will warm you up!
Wondering, Diann, how Jim's procedure went, yesterday? What were his remarks?
Hello, Andrea...does Emma sleep through the night yet? I love hearing about and talking about Momster Puppies, but do hope we can talk about eagles tomorrow:)
GOOD NIGHT MY SISTER FRIENDS (+JIM) SLEEP WELL PRAYERS FOR ALL AND SELFISH PRAYER FOR OUR CAM FOR OUR WELL BEING PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
Oh, I am baaaaaaack! And, guess what, Jack did not go. Jack was not invited! It was a hen party, 18 of us and we had fun. But, must admit, I did have a mini melt down. Had good food, good laughs and enjoyed it, but not really into the "full of good cheer" bit.
Yep, Lynne, you have us. You are fully stuck with this group. We will not stop talking to you.
I am going to be in and out tomorrow. Wonder what time the crane will be there? So exciting! Who will be the first to yell "Eagle!"?
I am heading to the shower now. Nite all! Sweet dreams!
Hi, Gang, I just got home from school. Have read back just a bit on the blog. I'm glad the vet gave a good report for little Mai! Bet she WAS the cutest pup in the waiting room!
Wanda, Emma almost makes it through the night. She gets up once to go potty--usually just to pee. She will go on a piddle pad if the weather isn't nice. I encourage her to go inside at night, since we have raccoons around here. Neither one of us would be too happy to meet one of them!
Don't worry, Emma gets TONS of water, but I limit how much she drinks when a feeding is drawing near. She doesn't inhale her food, but isn't a picky eater, either. She finishes the meal well within the five minute limit. She eats slowly enough to chew her kibble, which is in tiny chunks. Funny you gals should mention it--she always burps loudly after a meal, and often gets the hiccups, too! While she's still small enough, I sometimes actually pick her up and burp her like a baby, and it works! I try to keep her from running around like a wild Indian after she eats, too. That pup is jet-propelled! Not exactly crazy hyper, but just full of puppy energy. She will calm down nicely in your lap if you don't encourage her to go nuts. I'm sure she will be a nice, calm adult dog. It will help tremendously when I can walk her on the river trail. You can go for literally miles. Can't wait till she has all her shots!
Well, think I'm going to go veg in TV land, and wait for my Emma to wake up. Judie, thanks for leaving the night light on. I'll check the porch light to make sure it's on. BTW, you mentioned tying tin cans to the doorknob when I wasn't here to set the security system. When we had our Siberian Husky Sasha, many years ago, I tied a cowbell to the back doorhandle with a piece of yarn so she could ring it to get let outside. She learned to do that very quickly as a young pup, and the system always worked without fail. The eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security are enabled. Prayers have been said for everyone. Sleep tight, everyone, and I'll talk to you in the morning. God bless, and goodnight! Love all of you! (OOh--crane and cam day tomorrow!) :o]
Goodnight everyone. Pleasant dreams of puppies, Germany gang, winter birds, and our sisters and brothers.
Wanda, Jim's procedures went okay. A few things were discovered but nothing to explain the weight loss. If it continues he'll need additional tests, but as of now his weight has leveled off. Whew. There were biopsies being done but don't expect anything bad.
All my tests are done and diagnosed too. The doc concludes that I have degenerate arthritis in my spine and knees and possibly fibromyalgia. Since there is no specific test for fibromyalgia it's only a guess and I'm already taking the medicines he would prescribe. So, I'll just keep on keeping on and continue take my vicodin as needed and ibuprofen.
Judie & Shirley, if you run out of your percocet I have vicodin. Hope you both are on the road to recovery.
I am going call my orthopod and ask for injections for my knees since they are getting real bad.
Also going to apply for a degree in arthritic meteorology. Bad weather is expected and I feel it.
Wanda I am sure the spaghetti dinner will be a rousing success !
I don't mean to be thoughtless and not comment on so many things posted Thursday...but time is short...my usual catch-all phrase: I care ! with x's and o's
De Plane, de plane......departed Frankfurt late: 7:38 our time. ETA is now 3:56.
22° here....cloudy....flurries possible. Mai is like a baby----days and nights mixed up! Up twice during the night....but then started crying a third time at 6:30---I got up and when I finished in the BR, she was back to sleep----and still is!
I scanned over the blog a bit, but have to rush and get ready for my appointments this morning. They are kind of close together, so I want to do what I can to make things go smoothly.
This morning, the dogs got into chocolate covered pretzels. I heard a clanking sound and came down to find them both munching away. I think it was not enough chocolate to do harm, but golly, what next?
Good luck with apptmts., Shirley. Glad they got them set up before the weekend. Be careful! Wow, where were the pretzels??? Bassetts have such short legs, wouldn't think they could get anything that was up on a counter or table. Grrrr!
Good Friday Morning Eagle Pals. As we all wait praying this is the day and all turns out well at the nest. Prayers for those doing the job for their safety and that they can get the job done. Prayers that we get sound and a good live feed. Prayers that Libety and Belle come back when the job is done.
I see Lolly you made it through. Lady you are strong I knew you could do that party ( : Also knew around friends you would cry some. That is what you needed was to go.(:
Andy it sounds like you have night under control for Emma. I love that sometimes you burp her. Oh how long ago for me 15 years he is now. Oh and your cowbell story lol so cool.
Today is the GERMANY GANG!!! It is Mema Jo's turn for HUGS AROUND 3PM. I am so so happy for you and for them. Back in the good old USA. Hug them for us too if your not too excited to remember ( :
Diann I see you have given an update on Jim. Prayers that the biopsies come back all with good results. Glad his weight has leveled off. Diann I've been waiting with prayers to see what the doctor had to say for you also. Sounds like nothing you really didn't already know. Like you said you are already being treated for it. A shot in the knee may help. Good to make the appointment. Prayers for the pain even though your on medicine. I know, I do know there is still pain and limited to things you can do.
Margy yes you said it well a "Red, White and Blue day", is what you said. I agree whole heartly!!!!
Hedgie-Lynn Mai is still adjusting. You are doing great it sounds like. She went back to sleep herself, that is good. Precious baby Mai(:
Shirley praying your appointments this morning go very well for you. Praying they get you that pain medication. Lord what are you dogs going to get into next!! Your house is a "box of surprises"!!!
Hedgie all the dogs aren't bassetts are they? Only takes one to get the goodies then they can all try to get a bite.
Good Good Morning My Friends They have been in the air for 2 hours and have 6 hrs and 28 min to go! They have covered 847 miles and have 3242 miles to go WHoo Hoo! Thank goodness for Mits, Lynn and Ceil for helping me to track them so well.
Hi Dana and Jo! Dana, I'm fairly certian that Kathryn's dogs are both bassetts.
Jo, is it snowing there??? :(
Ditto what Dana said, Diann.....hope Jim get good biopsy results, and relieved that your dx. has not really changed in the whole scheme of your pain cycle. If the fibromyalgia can be pinpointed to certain areas, they CAN do trigger point injections....worth checking into!
Andy....do you mean that I need to drag the burp cloths out of the rag bag????? I always used diapers....and even the grands never wore cloth ones, I bought them for burp cloths---and still use them for dusting!!
Lynn--Hedgie terrible wreck on I-81my area. I read it in Heral Mail online. It has better than the Martinsburg paper. Tell names and what happened. If you read it...I think the tractor trailer truck that went across the line and struck the NJ car may have just went on. He should be the one charged in the accident; JMO.
Praying for safe travels for the Germany gang after reaching airport for road travel. Prayers for our EXCITED Mema Jo for her road travels to them this evening.
Have been on FB. For $5,000 at Atlanta zoo you can be in on an examination of the baby panda. Anyone want to loadn me $5,000. Better yet, you can take guests. We can split the $5,000, only $1,000 each. LOL Wouldn't that be fun?!!! Key word here "Wouldn't".
Okay, time for me to get busy! Have a great day everyone. Hopefully cam tonight!
There were a few tissues left, and I am not sure how many were in the box to begin with, but the box had definitely been chewed and tissues were pulled out.
One of the animals has been ill tonight, but no tissues yet. You do not want to know more.

Good morning, Steve! Thanks for the new thread! Will go holler over on the old one. hee hee!
Thank you Steve for the morning thread and I heard you calling Lolly!
I'm repeating my old thread message:
Good Thursday Morning!
Jo, I will be thinking about you today--I know you are very excited.
I have a crane avatar, too. Looking for this kind of crane tomorrow.
Does anybody sell Gas-X for dogs?
I really enjoy reading Blobs too,Lolly
I hope Lynne replys on this blob about our comments! Love ya Dr Puppy Lynne.
Lynn - hope Mai does well - Cover her face with a blanket when you go out!
These cranes are showing up - WOW!
Dana Isn't it great to have that excited feeling! I love it but sometimes it makes me cry!
Getting ready for exercises.... BBL
BLOB. Good grief!!!
Jo, I think you may just have had your last "wake up" before the gang gets here because I think that you may to too excited to get any sleep tonight in order to wake up tomorrow!
Lynn, so glad no more yurping!
LOVE the avatar Shirley!
And I will be there to see!
aw, that is sweet Shirley!
I need to Jake Proof my house...I'm babysitting neighbor Jake for a few hours but here for a while as the cleaning lady is next door at the moment. Jake is almost 2, and very, VERY busy!
Snow-flurrying here, in full sun. Looks like diamonds floating in the air! Mai is still asleep....WOW! I should have gone back to bed!
Shirley, GREAT avatar! How very appropriate!!!! All we can do is hope and keep our fingers crossed!
Cold and sunny here. I haven't seen any flurries, though.
Lynn, how long should I use ice packs on my face?
Is Kat on vacation, or did she take time off to nurse you, Shirley? Good daughter!!!
Don't know about the Gas-X---why not call vet and ask??? Worth a try. Christie and Shannon's weimeraner Harley is the true gas machine----pew!!!!
Can't imagine that there aren't comp Drs. around F'burg, Shirley!
Josh Groban on Rachel Ray show. What a voice!!! New CD out!
Kathryn is staying with me, Lynn. She has used all of her vacation time, I think.
We will see, Lynn. I have never had to use workman's comp before, but every time I get involved with the medical community there, they act like there are no doctors in Fredericksburg and that I'm silly when I say I'd rather not go so far as Charlottesville.
I was really joking about the Gas-X, but maybe it is a thought.
it's up to a balmy 25 here now and sunny!
Don't know about the Gas X for dogs! Daisy toots every time she jumps up to look out a window!
Good Morning, Everyone!
Mema Jo,
Don't know how you are managing to contain yourself--what a reunion this is going to be!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
GOOD MORNING,
EVERYONE.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Cool this A.M., but it will get better.
Yearly Dr.'s appointment this morning. Talk later. [:~D]
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Good morning, Steve. Thank you for the Thursday thread. Did ya check out Shirley's crane avatar? Cool!
Shirley, just had a thought: this would be the perfect time to go out shopping -- one look and other shoppers would imagine what the other person looks like and be so afeared of you they would let you have whatever you want.
Hi Jim, have a good checkup.
Not to worry, Andy. Shirley and I will be pain-free as long as we have our drugs.
Good Late Morning!
Shirley, hope your day goes restfully and that you are able to recoup in the shortest time possible.
Judie, I hope you feel improvement everyday. I only wish continued healing for you.
Lynn, I think there is a Sharpei that has several of us wrapped her little fuzzy paw.
Jo, waiting faithfully for family. That's what it's all about, isn't it?
Andy, your puppy is too cute. I think they are high energy dogs and you will have a good companion with Emma.
And to Cindi.....Happy Birthday!
Apologies to those I have missed. And for the words I have left out. Or misspelled. Please, everyone...be careful, dress for this weather and don't try to be superwoman!
That's a thought, Judie. I wonder what would happen if we went shopping together?
Oh yes, puppies can wrap you around their fuzzy paws. Love hearing of the escapades of Emma and I am IN LOVE with Baby Mai:)
Shirley, what an excellent idea, Gas-X for dogs! Bet there is such a thing at the Pet Stores...never thought of that:)
I have returned - it is really cold out there - Kept my hood on all the way
Ate lunch.... Now some things to do...
BBILW
Have been talking to human resources about workman's comp. Good grief. What a tangled mess of regulations. I may be out of pain medication before they straighten it out.
We paid cash for the pain meds because it was less complicated.
Judie, don't run out of pain pills!!! You, either Shirley!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDI no accidents on your birthday understand!!
Shirley I hope they get it straightened out so you can have the pain med. It is needed!!!
grrr Make appointments outside of work hours. How does she think you are suppose to go to work!!! Some are dumb then others are dumber and I think you got a jewel of a one on the phone Shirley.
Howdy, all!
Oh by the way before that last post of mind.
I was going to post this first and forgot:
I am gone for awhile and come back in to "Gas X" and I didn't do it. lol
Chuckling and imaging every time Daisy jumps to look out a window she toots.
Laughter is good for the soul. Thanks Lynne2 for the laughter.
Just up the road from you is Soldier's Delight and you'll be seeing an EAGLE tomorrow.
Neat Lynne!!
Shirley I love your avatar-real appropriate.
Strange ways for Worker's comp, Shirley...may be VA rules. In Maryland, the insurance company will usually get the reports from the personal doctor.
At the very least, they should have a clinic available.
Oh Jo's is tomorrow!!!!!!! So excited for her.
Mind is coming soon too.
Glo is you go out be careful of the ice PLEASE!!
Paula you have mail
In WV, WC cannot force you to see a doctor not of your choice. Of course, many drs. won't accept WC, either.
And all apptmts. for WC here are made during persons' normal workday!
Off we go to visit Mr. Bill and then the vet. BBL!
We all will be waiting to hear from you Lynn. Sure hope Mai licks Mr Bill as a sign of liking him!
Shirley - would your family dr call in a pain prescription for you.??
♫♫ Happy Birthday Cindi!! ♫♫
And another Happy Birthday to my son, John! ♫♫
lol Christine said on FB:
OMG seriously this post just continues to amaze me. So here we are at the Bamberg Inn and they put us in a "VIP" suit above the Warner Club. Well guess what the Warner Club did not tell the Bamberg Inn that they were having an event. Here it is almost 10 pm and they are blaring the music so load and the base is vibrating our room. I guess no sleep for us tonight.
We are all saying that they will all be able to sleep on the flight -
I told her that if the base had a good beat for her to get up and do Zumba exercises!
Six hours difference
10:00 PM over there
Happy birthday, John.
Yay, I got two appointments for tomorrow. One with a dentist and one with a primary care doctor. I have temporary approval. The lady at HR has been doing the best she can. And she has seen me. She knows how awful I look.
Back from babysitting.
OMG Paula, that must have been so scary! How old was he at the time?
I took a pain pill since I now have an appointment. It really makes me drowsy.
Good that you were able to get Boo to the vet right away, Paula.
Jo, are your folks on the way now? Sounds like there is a lot of snow in some places in Europe.
Lynne2 Why is it that some dogs. Larger breed the vet tells you to raise their bowl for them to eat?
Shirley glad things are moving forward and you are getting medical help.
Lynn-Hedgie and Mai we will be waiting here to hear about your visit to Bill and the vet.
that's the million dollar question Dana. No one knows for sure why large breeds are far more susceptible.
Seriously!
The Germany Gang will be boarding the plane at 7am our time and arriving at
3:50pm our time.
They will probably think it's
warm here!
Happy Birthday to Paula's John!!!
Wow! I have 3 'new' TV shows for this evening.... Bones, CSI, Mentalist
This hasn't happened recently.
Lynn - after you and Mai settle in, let us know what all the vet said.
Was going to get ribs from the wagon...changed their hours and closed at 5. My tastebuds are disapppointed. Think I'll fix a fried egg sandwich.
Shirley, glad you got your apptmts. set up!!! Assuming they are local, right???
oh Lynn, I'll just bet everyone thought she was cute! And I'm glad the vet thinks it's just stress, too. Good news!
It's colic, Lynn.
Very hard to save a horse with colic. The gas builds up and the pain is so bad they want to lay down and roll and that causes the intestines to twist.
Did you know that horses can neither vomit, nor breath through the mouth?
Fantastic, Lynn! We all knew she was a fantastic pup already. :)
Had routine blood work done today then went shopping, Not exactly a successful day. Now I am getting ready for a Christmas party. Sad thing is I am not in the mood. Christmas spirit and done got up and gone! I think I have crashed. However, I am going as it is my only party with the friends that I love, so I know it will be good for me to go. Anyway, will be back much later.
Lynn and Mai welcome home!!
Lolly I'm sure that being around your friends will bring that Christmas Spirit right back to you this evening.
Lynn - So happy that she was considered the cutest pup in the waiting room and that all is well
with Mai.
Taking a break but will check back off and on......
Lolly, you'll probably have a good time once you get there with your friends!
Just think, this time tomorrow, God willing of course, we will be watching our eagles again!!
Lynn, good news from the vet, but sad for little Mai. She is in a new enviroment but she will quickly adjust!
Lynn, sorry you didn't get your ribs, know how it is when you have your taste buds set!
Shirley, hope you resting from that last Perc!
Dana, how is the knee coming along?
And Wanda, did the shot help your knee yet?
Judie, how's the pain? Any better? Did you get your ice cream the other night?
Challenger the eagle is flying over the Titans game tonight!! I wonder if they will show him???
I don't have any clue what channel the game is on...not on my listing :(
Paula Happy Birthday to John
My right knee is doing good that just had the surgery. The left knee that I had the total knee replacement was doing perfect. Until I fell at Ed's grave all those times.
I can't do a lot of walking around on it. I have a return appt 12/30 so I will talk with him about it. He mentioned he wanted to talk to me about the left knee (that's one had total knee May 27, 2007) was perfect until I did all that falling.
Evening Everyone!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDI!!!!
LOL ☺
I guess maybe the Titans is the Thursday night game?
Sorry about your additional knee trouble Dana.
Loretta, what a cool thing to see!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO PAULA'S JOHN!!!
Paula, game is on the NFL channel---that's 212 on Directv, but don't know about other companies.
Vet didn't feel the hernia. Said to keep an eye on it and let her know if I feel it again.
Thanks, Lynne---colic it is!!! Duh---how can I forget something so easy??
Baby Mai is sleeping soundly....gonna try to catch me a few winks before CSI comes on. BBL.
I don't get the NFL channel, I don't think...
yes, Lynne, it's tonight
Well, I do get it, watched by didn't see it. Didn't think that network would show it.
A box of tissues got knocked off the table and I thought that the dogs wouldn't eat it immediately, but they might eventually do so.
Then we forgot and went out for a little while.
Well, they were gotten into, and Flash does not want his supper. I hope they don't cause him any problems.
It was one of those small boxes.
Proud Grandma here.....my youngest Jenn, won 2nd place in a Lions' Club art contest! $30 was the award!!!! She is quite good for a 12 y.o
Shirley, I'm sure you'll find them somewhere!
Yay Jenn!
Yeah, I think so, too, Paula. I hate to think where.
Flash has gotten his fiber for the day.
Congratulations to Jenn.
Shirley, we once knew a doberman named Flash and he ate a rug...plenty of fiber there:)
Oh Shirley, is the whole box gone?
Congrats to Jenn! What was her project?
How nice of Capt Father Gene to ask what the guests would like to eat!
Never get bored with your stories, Lynne:) You do have a lot of pet stories and knowledge.
Lynne, how do you get a FORMER sister?
I'm talking to myself:) Guess I will watch some TV.
Good night. I have taken my pain pill and am about to crawl into the recliner for the night.
Loretta, I've seen the fawns and yearlings frolic like that here at my place. So much fun!!
I'm sorry, that was probably TMI for our happy blog here.
OK time for dogs to go out and me to go to bed.
Jo, hope you can get some sleep tonight!
Shirley, UGH! Have a good night!
NEW CAM INSTALL!!KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED! Hoping when I get back from Irvine, it's be ready!
Good night and prayers for all!
I know Jo will be dreaming of Germany gang, if she can sleep at all! ☺ And the rest of us can dream about cranes--any kind!!
Glad all the little puppies are OK ☺. Hope the older ones get it together!
I'll bet watching the deer frolic is fun!
Lynne, I had my bouts with my Mom too. Mother/daughter relationships can be tough.
Kinda got stuff together for the weekend, guess I'll finish up tomorrow night after dinner. Cold is gone, except for the lingering cough.
Gonna hit the hay early, catch ya'll tomorrow.
Hugs to all ♥
Oh, and I'll try to keep an eye on the cam tomorrow!
Keep your fingers crossed!
Lynne...many dysfunctional families among us and around us. Yes, you have risen above it and don't forget, WE are your sisters...all of us!♥
Getting late for the eyeballs, so Pleasant Feather (Crane)Dreams & good health to all ;>)
Didn't want to day to end with saying Good Night...
lots and lots and lots of news on here today about all kinds of things!
sorry I am just a little too tired to start commenting, but sure am happy for the successes and happies, praying for the needs
and Special Good Wishes for Jo, the Germany Gang, and the entire family ♥
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ♥
I can remember it as clear as day and it must have been 5 years ago when I
watched 2 playful young deer out on the back lawn.
Well tomorrow is the last wake up because Germany gang will be here in MD for hugs & kisses!
I am so excited that I sincerely will give our cam 2nd place for the day's exciting events!
I am glad Lolly & Jack went to the party.
Lynne, don't know about sound sleeping tonight!
Prayers for Healing for everyone
Prayers for everyone's needs/wants
Hugs for all ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Tomorrow is FRIDAY
Cam Day
Coming Home Day
Love you all!
Judy I love your Good night post too cute :-)
So glad Margy checked in.
Mema Jo will have her Germany gang tomorrow.
Hope Lolly was glad she went to the Christmas party.
See Shirley is ready to doze in recliner.
So glad Mai is gotten her checkup
from vet. She will be giving Mom
kisses in AM.
Sorry you have the same things; ie
"former sister" I as do.
GOOD NIGHT MY SISTER FRIENDS (+JIM)
SLEEP WELL
PRAYERS FOR ALL AND SELFISH PRAYER FOR OUR CAM FOR OUR WELL BEING
PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
DANA, you know that you have us as your sisters, too♥
Nite.
Night Glo be careful in you go where there is any ice.
See Shirley and Judie have taken their nitey nite pills. Sleep well my dears.
I prayer for the Germany gang and that Mema Jo can get some rest tonight.
Prayers for all those that need them. Plus those that I told God I would pray for.
I will be on sometime in morning. To see about the live cam.
Hi, Gang,
I just got home from school.
Prayers for all needs/wants. God bless
Good Red Friday Morning, make that Red, White and Blue Friday! A soldier and his family returning stateside, how glorious.
I am imagining the bundle of excitement in Germany this morning at this very hour as take-off time approaches ☺
Best wishes for a good day, EVERYONE, but I think, this will be the best day for Jo and her family !
Many prayers offered this morning for you, my friends.
For healing, hope, and safe travels.
Paula
Late Happy Birthday wishes for John, and best wishes for a really great week-end with Michael ☺
and Congratulations to Jenn, Lynn, on her art project achievement - Bravo !
Hope the tissue issue at Shirley's is resolved favorably...
Wanda
I am sure the spaghetti dinner will be a rousing success !
I don't mean to be thoughtless and not comment on so many things posted Thursday...but time is short...my usual catch-all phrase:
I care ! with x's and o's
And for the NCTC nest cam work today, an avatar for safety and success
Best wishes for a great day, everyone, sport some Red for our precious military folks today if you can
xoxo ♥
Morning all.
See you later.
Prayers for those doing the job for their safety and that
they can get the job done. Prayers that we get sound and a good live feed. Prayers that Libety and Belle
come back when the job is done.
I see Lolly you made it through. Lady you are strong I knew you could do that party ( : Also knew
around friends you would cry some.
That is what you needed was to go.(:
Andy it sounds like you have night
under control for Emma. I love that
sometimes you burp her. Oh how long
ago for me 15 years he is now. Oh
and your cowbell story lol so cool.
Today is the GERMANY GANG!!! It is
Mema Jo's turn for HUGS AROUND 3PM.
I am so so happy for you and for them.
Back in the good old USA. Hug them
for us too if your not too excited
to remember ( :
Diann I see you have given an update on Jim. Prayers that the biopsies come back all with good results. Glad his weight has leveled off.
Diann I've been waiting with prayers to see what the doctor had to say for you also. Sounds like nothing you really didn't already know. Like you said you are already being treated for it. A shot in the knee may help. Good to make the appointment. Prayers for the pain even though your on medicine. I know, I do know there is still pain and limited to things you can do.
Margy yes you said it well a "Red,
White and Blue day", is what you
said. I agree whole heartly!!!!
Hedgie-Lynn Mai is still adjusting.
You are doing great it sounds like.
She went back to sleep herself, that is good. Precious baby Mai(:
Shirley praying your appointments
this morning go very well for you.
Praying they get you that pain
medication.
Lord what are you dogs going to
get into next!! Your house is a
"box of surprises"!!!
Hedgie all the dogs aren't bassetts
are they? Only takes one to get
the goodies then they can all
try to get a bite.
I do have the still cam up.
Good Good Morning My Friends
They have been in the air for 2 hours and have 6 hrs and 28 min to go!
They have covered 847 miles and have 3242 miles to go WHoo Hoo!
Thank goodness for Mits, Lynn and Ceil for helping me to track them so well.
I have also checked on still cam.
Nothing yet..
Good Morning Our Very EXCITED Mema Jo....that is neat how do you track them?
TODAY TODAY TODAY IS MEMA JO'S SPECIAL DAY....HUGS AND KISSES AND JOYS AND A MERRY TIME ALL AROUND.
It is snowing...........and it's laying. NO, no, no!!! I hate it!
Jo's gang is 1/4 of the way here!!!
Hi Lynn! They sure are!
It is snowing here also.
How is Mai!
Lynn and Mema Jo it is really coming down..very small pieces. Everything even road is covered.
Well Little Man will have to wait till daughter gets here to get his nails trimmed.
Birds are hitting the bird feeder.
Humm makes me wonder "what can a crane and men do at the nest with snow coming down"??????? Maybe have to make it another day again.
Good morning! Well, while you guys continue to have cold weather we continue nice weather. Still no freeze here. My fern if looking good.
Wonder what time the crane arrives. Would love to be there watching and do hope we get to see the nest sometime today!
Good Morning! Jo, you have treasure in the sky and it will be here before you know it! Don't you just love to be able to track?
Shirley, hope your appt.'s go well and that you are able to get what you need.
The crane, the crane. Hope all goes as planned!
Praying for safe travels for the Germany gang after reaching airport for road travel. Prayers for our EXCITED Mema Jo for her road travels to them this evening.
Oh, Lynn, I always used the diapers for dust cloths too. However, they are long gone!
Are you going to have to start patting Mai on the back after eating? :)
Snow in Nestville is not supposed to amount to anything more than a temporary beauty to get us into the Christmas Spirit:)
Lolly, It is good that you attended the party. You sound chipper this morning!
Lynn, let us know how Mai gets on today. I think she will be ok. She has not even been in her new home one week.
Wanda, i will take some spaghetti! You and your husband are truly good people.
Nothing yet on the still cam!
Man this white stuff is laying!
My circle is white.
Crazzzzzzyyyyyy
I hope you are right, Wanda
Update: 5 hrs and 28 min left in flight
New thread is up with a note from Steve
Have been on FB. For $5,000 at Atlanta zoo you can be in on an examination of the baby panda. Anyone want to loadn me $5,000. Better yet, you can take guests. We can split the $5,000, only $1,000 each. LOL Wouldn't that be fun?!!! Key word here "Wouldn't".
Okay, time for me to get busy! Have a great day everyone. Hopefully cam tonight!
Hang in there Jo! They're a comin!
Whoops!
NEW THREAD!!!!
There were a few tissues left, and I am not sure how many were in the box to begin with, but the box had definitely been chewed and tissues were pulled out.
One of the animals has been ill tonight, but no tissues yet. You do not want to know more.
