Lolly I am so sorry for Joey and Laurel and the family. Faye has no more suffering. I pray for you and the family during this part of it. So glad you are there to help Laurel out. Hope Joseph soon feels better.
Hedgie-Lynn you really fool me about the pictures you posted on your blog. lol
Glo it was so good to see your avatar on here. Hope you drop back in.
Anyone going out dress warm. Sounds like Margy is at work.
I hope the cam is still going up and on today. I am praying though for those that are working outside on this mission.
Margy doctor started letting me drive the day of my appointment which was Dec.1st. It doesn't bother me to drive Interstate cause I use cruise control. After that getting on regular roads still bothers me.
I thought you already went to work. What time do you go in?
Okay Good Dana, did not realize that you were already driving
Not working today, about to bury myself in a deep closet to get some things to storage, not so much trying to get ready for Christmas but for everyday living, AND, the upcoming visit sometime next week from James's mom and grandpa
Good morning! In the car again. Almost to Denton. Going to be a trying day. Again thanks for the prayers! Joey and Will and family will be fine. They have strong faith, and good support. It is just so sad.
Lolly keep warm and don't tire yourself out. It wasn't that long ago you was sick. Don't want you to be down again. Your all in the "PALM OF GOD'S HAND".
So sorry to read sad news from Lolly Prayers for the whole family. It is 12 here but a beautiful blanket of snow. I must head on out to Walmart and I need to get gas for the car brrrr but its going to stay cold all week. I will be leaving for GA to spend a few weeks at my son's on the 17th of the month. Trying to organize my brain around what i need to do for here and to get Dex and i ready to leave for 6 weeks. Not so many eagle photo ops for me this winter BUT much easier on Dex to be south at least once we get there.
Glo hope while you are at your sons you can get on a computer. Letting us know you and Dex got there ok. Georgia may just be what you and Dex need at this time of the year. If you can't get on the blog you are really going to be missed. I'm sure your neighbors across the street are going to miss you and Dex's visits.
Message from Andrea: her service provider has blocked her from getting onto the blog. They (Earthlink) are working on the problem! Everything is good with them and Emma.
Lolly, I was pained for your family to hear of Faye's passing. Prayers of comfort and understanding for everyone.
OK, we were pretty much promised camera today and I am expecting camera today! LOL Wish it were that easy. Noone should go if there is a hint of danger. But still.......
Hedgie-Lynn I am truly hoping you are WRONG. I know we are all feeling the need to see are eagles and the nest live. We know they have been working on it.
I pray the cams comes live today and for those induring the cold to fix the live cam.
Hello everyone! Been checking off & on to see if any messages about camera. I guess if we had new news, Steve would have posted a message. Too bad he had to wait so long--didn't want to do it in Dec.
Got one more newsy email to write to family members before I send their cards---won't have to write "pages" several times!
Visitor this AM when I went outside w/coffee. Little hawk landed on deck railing about 8 ft. from me. I didn't move, so he stayed & then flew up into a tree. He stayed there til I went in for camera. Think it was the smaller sharp-shinned (11"), not the Coopers (16").They look the same to me, except size. Will try to dwnld cam today. BBL
Lynn, I just read about Don Meredith also. Where does time go? My son-in law is a Steeler fan and I was reading about last night's game and the writers were saying that the Steeler Raven rivalry was the best ever in football. Did they ever hear of the 'Skins and Cowboys? I was on the "Skins side. It was a great time in football! LOL!
Back from my snowy cold travels. Walmart parking lot a sheet of ice. Doesn't seem like there is any cam news just yet. MTBR Yes Dana I should be able to get internet connection from my sons. Vicky actually helped me out with that a couple of weeks ago Bless her heart. Says what she has loaned me works like a cell phone. Problem is my son has to sit outside to use his cell phone form his house so time will tell if i will need to sit outside. I will do that if I have too but surely not as long and often as if it will work int he house for me :-).
Sending prayers for peace for Faye and all the family.
No fair, Jo. Wake-ups have to include Panda Naps. lol Cannot imagine how excited you are just with anticipation. Curves? Well, now we know your game plan!
Glo, wishing you and Dex and very happy trip and holiday season.
Didn't read back to early comments today. Will try later. Have been reading/grading.
Therapist was here and encouraging. Practice with walker. Friday will practice using "bath transfer board" so I can begin to shower.
Did see something on news the a.m. about s__w in WV panhandle.
Judie so glad you came in. Sounds like you are busy grading. The therapist sounds like she likes how you are doing. Oh good show you how to get into shower. Is that ever going to feel good. Using a walker.....lady you are really making progress.
Mema Jo you sound like you really have it all together going on ( : DID ED FIND A CHAIR yesterday?
I emailed Chrissy to get an update on she, Frank and Matt. She has been taking care of them although they still have some cough and some in their chest. They are back to work. Since Chrissy has been the "doer" she still has aleast 6 days or more but that is from watching Frank and Matt. They had her to care for them and they stayed in bed. She still has everything around there to do. No one to take care of her. So please PRAY FOR CHRISSY to get well. She also has a broken widsom tooth that she got an infection from not getting pulled. So it is acting up again and she doesn't want another infection so she is getting it pulled today.
Jo, bet you are so excited about your Germany Gang. Congratulations! Judie, you really sound like you are in the land of the recuperating!!Keep up the good work! Dana, thx for the info on Chrissy. I can't believe she has not gotten that tooth fixed, yet! I know it took 4 mos.(do we want socialized medicine???) just to get appt. w/a young surgeon who wouldn't even give her antibiotics she has to have & of course it got infected. She and her regular dentist were livid.
Outdoor tip for today----with this wind, stay away from trees! Just went out and heard cracking noises. Big branch in neighbor's yard came down. Luckily, it didn't hit our fence or her deck.
Oh, poor Chrissy. Sure can sympathize with her pain.
Judie, you are making great progress, gal!! Keep up the good work. We're right behind pushing, if needed!!
Tree is up. Only 2 SB's seen!!
Saw a squirrel licking out the drip cup under grill today. Got some pics. Will try to get on PC and download and then upload quite a few pics!! Little miss Mai is snoozing at the moment.
I think we will still have the Outdoor whenever - the message over there is ...EagleCam is temporarily disabled for maintenance until after December 6th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back later. Thank you.
Calm and uneventful....except that the aviary has no heat. Cleaning and watering the birds was a challenge. The hose was partially frozen so I had to wait til this afternoon to clean. Everyones water pans were frozen overnight so I had to hammer the ice out and refill first thing this morning. I'm not really sure what's going to happen when it gets REALLY cold. I would think the pipes would be in danger of freezing if the water isn't turned off. And the main building is REALLY too far to haul water in buckets to get the job done. Every perch and feeding platform gets scrubbed and hosed daily, at the very least, and the gravel bottoms get hosed and raked. Don't know how they handled it last year. MTBR
Note: The EagleCam is temporarily disabled for maintenance until after December 6th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back later. Thank you.
Sounds like a chore, Lynne. Maybe they hook up to an inside spigot?
An update would be nice, but I'll be surprised if we see it up this week...and those are just my own personal thoughts. I am usually not the pessimist, just trying to look at all the factors involved...wind, bucket truck scheduling, temps blah blah blah.
Paula, you are SUCH a buzzkill....LOL!!! I'm afraid you may be right though...
My back is sort of better today. I had to get up the steps last night on all fours. So I wimped out and took a Darvo.
Well, I'll have you all know that I have now been home for an hour, and that lazy crazy Daisy has yet to move her carcass off of my bed to come down and see me. I walked up to make sure she wasn't dead, or afraid to come down because she shredded the pillows or something, and I barely rated at look and a tiny tail wag. I believe this is her way of telling me that she in NOT interested in going out in this cold!
I guess I will keep an eye on our still cam until 5:00. Steve was in DC today but should be back by this time....... Hope he comes in and give us an update.
I dunno Paula, the weather isn't going to be that much better this week and there is always the chance that whoever was scheduled to install today may not even be able to come back any time this week.
In any case, I sure hope we get an update from Steve this evening. I'd rather know SOMETHING than nothing at all.
And yes, Daisy did tell me. Now I have to go tell HER. Time to go out!!! She has some odd ways, that one....
Lynne2 after all that hammering at Irvine you might have to take another pain pill tonight or tomorrow. I would think someone would have told you as it gets cold how they did it last year.

Sad situation.
Not much news here. Been unusually sleepy since I signed off earlier. Maybe body was tired after therapy and computer -- sounds better than saying it is old age.
Lynne, just because I have to go up and down stairs on my butt, no need for you to play copy cat. I'm glad you're better today and hope you are completely better tomorrow. Have an image of you at Irvine looking like a little Dutch girl with water buckets on the ends of a pole.
Not the best news about the cam but we should give Steve a momster/dadster hug for all the effort.
I can't believe stink bugs are still around. Found one in a trash can yesterday. Darth made it disappear.
Jo, maybe the shiny garland will fly past your house and drop off a new recliner. It's getting to be that time.

I see from my email that student assignments are beginning to arrive in my email. Will begin the task of grading them tomorrow.
Continued prayers for Faye and all the family.
I hear the sandperson creeping down the hall calling my name. So will turn my light off but will leave the night light on for others with puppies, those headed back the hallway, up the stairs.
Going to tie some tin cans on the door knobs until Andy returns to set our security alarm. Hope she returns soon.

I believe that about the snow..
friend was in Summers County WV five days, snowed on each one of those days
snow on I-64 until 30 mi before I-81
Good Morning Eagle Pals !
cold and blustery here in Martinsburg
much as I would hope for a new cam today, going up to 80-feet on a Sycamore Tree would seem rather hazardous
not sure if the installation means they have to climb the tree
on the revolver map:
Rochester NY - that's me
Hedgesville WV - think that's Hedgie
and "Effort Pennsylvania" - now, who could that be !
That was at 0930 - 0935
Best wishes for a warm safe day.
and for Lolly and Family,
prayers and hugs that peace and comfort are near
Good Cold Monday Morning Eagle Friends.
Lolly I am so sorry for Joey and Laurel and the family. Faye has no more suffering. I pray for you and the family during this part of it. So glad you are there to help Laurel out. Hope Joseph soon feels better.

Morning, all.
Good point, Margy. I wouldn't be climbing that sycamore tree today, but I have the pop up on and hope to be able to check it periodically.
There sure will be a loud Eaglet Momster and Dadster Roar when we have a view of the nest again!
Paula, I will be watching too...until I have to dress up like Ralphie and head out
Hi Dana also
is today the day you can drive ??
Margy doctor started letting me drive the day of my appointment which was Dec.1st. It doesn't bother me to drive Interstate cause I use cruise control. After that getting on regular roads still bothers me.

Good Blustery Cold Morning to All -
Lolly, you and Jack are Helping Angels to your children. Bless you and Faye's family during this time.
I just realized that I only need to
wake up 4 more times and that will be the day I get to Hug my Germany Gang!
Meeting Jenny at 11:15 - I have to stretch these muscles in order to get rid of the flab!!!
I really hope they are working on setting up the new HD cam. If they wait longer it may be snow covered.
Dana, go to
http://www.fws.gov/nctc/cam/
and click on the still image link on the left
then when you get that, you can click on pop up window.
You go Jo! Good for you, glad you are finally able to exercise!
Good morning! In the car again. Almost to Denton. Going to be a trying day. Again thanks for the prayers! Joey and Will and family will be fine. They have strong faith, and good support. It is just so sad.
Happy eagle cam day and may all go well!

Just heard that Don Meredith passed away....he was 72. What a funny guy he was....and a good football player, too.
It's not the cold, Dana....it's the wind. As Paula said---75 ft. up in the air....not likely in 30+ mph winds.
Hello everyone! Been checking off & on to see if any messages about camera. I guess if we had new news, Steve would have posted a message. Too bad he had to wait so long--didn't want to do it in Dec.

Oops....gone.
FB: Steven Chase - DC to Shepherdstown express
I have forgotten how to make something a cause on your fb page. Can anyone help me please? My mind is a blank.
Suzan, I'm with you on that. The old Skins/Boys rivalry was unequaled....don't care what anyone else says!!! I am a die-hard Redskin fan....

I think we will still have the Outdoor
whenever - the message over there is
...EagleCam is temporarily disabled for maintenance until after December 6th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back later. Thank you.
Hi Jim, we haven't seen it yet
I see I'm not the only one who doesn't know all about the new camera.
Guess we'll have to wait for the instructions from Steve.
C(°Ù¿°)D Jim
Hi, Jim...yes it is, but the wind is blowing very briskly here in Nestville and may have hampered the installation. We haven't heard anything:(
Good afternoon all!
Geez, no cam yet? UGH.
Lynn, is Baby Mai eating any better today...how is her potty training going...is she too big, yet, for your lap???
Aw, Lynne, I fear we won't get our cam today...too windy:( MTBR
How was your day at Irvine?

Outdoor is a little late on this note...
Note: The EagleCam is temporarily disabled for maintenance until after December 6th. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back later. Thank you.
LOL, Jo beat me to it.
How's your back, Lynne?
Lynne, don't blame you for taking that pill one bit! Glad it's a little better today. LOL, guess miss Daisy told you.
And I am hoping I am TOTALLY wrong on the cam!
I guess I will keep an eye on our still cam until 5:00.
Steve was in DC today but should be back by this time.......
Hope he comes in and give us an update.
Good afternoon,
I am taking a quick look at the blog before heading home. I do not really want to venture out into the cold, but it is what it is.
See you when I get home.
Glad to see that Judie is doing better.
Was hoping for better news about the new cam.
Snow? Oh, dear. There was snow on the rooftops here yesterday morning.
Sounds like puppies are doing well. Hope Andrea is able to get back on soon.
BBL.
Oh, I put my robe on last night, and was sitting....by and by I felt something crawling up my thigh. STINK BUG INSIDE THE ROBE.
Lynn, glad you didn't have an invasion from the Chirstmas tree box!
Lynne2 after all that hammering at Irvine you might have to take another pain pill tonight or tomorrow. I would think someone would have told you as it gets cold how they did it last year.
I just posted an update on the cam installation (or lack of).
STEVE HAS COMMENT ON
NEW THREAD
Loretta, Chrissy DID get THAT tooth extracted surgically and had a very bad time in hospital doing so. This is ANOTHER tooth. OUCH!
Poor little Mai Ying just tossed her cookies. Either ate too fast....or maybe a little too much play.
Got pics ready to post. Next time she goes to sleep....!!!!
Breaking news:
Elizabeth Edwards, the estranged wife of former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, is resting at home with friends and family after doctors advised that "further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive," according to a statement from the Edwards family.
Sad situation.
Good late evening, everyone.
Will set aside some energy tomorrow to email Chrissy. Feel bad as I have neglected her. I sure wish she could catch a break.
Well, news keeps talking about the s__w in WV. Looks like an early winter for you Mountaineers.
