Yea, Lynn, so glad you received good news. Also, very happy you are having lunch with Candy. I am really looking forward to meeting her at OH.
Prayers going up for Margy's sister and the family. Sounds not too good.
We had a very unsuccessful shopping day. Could not find what I wanted for the boys. Rain has been off and on with terrific wind. We are back "home" and watching the TX Rangers play ball. Going to start a pot of chili soon, chili and cornbread tonight!
Congrats, Lynn on your good report!!!☺ How great you will be able to meet up w/Candy! Lolly, sounds like a "woodsy" day to just relax w/the rain.Chili sounds good! We actually got back to 70° and sun today! Speaking of food, gotta get my roast in the oven. I bought it on a cool, damp day! Oh well!!Will eat it anyway!!
Lynn, happy to hear of your good report. Now you can go to the beach without worry. Have fun too.
Margy, prayers continuing for your sister and the whole family.
Lolly, you're eating well while on the road. I don't remember my camping days with a menu like that. Of course, we had a pop-up and 4 kids. Glad those days are over. Now it's hotels and restaurants for me!
Sure am feeling down that I won't be there for open house. I will be there in spirit.
It's supper time again here. Must find something youngest can make for us. I'm not feeling up to it.
Thank you, Steve, for the new Thursday thread. Sorry to hear that you were stuck in that meeting!
Checking in here. Hubby will probably be home from work soon, and I have Algebra class tonight.
Fervent prayers continue for Margy's sister, Anne, for Margy, and for the whole family.
Lynn, I'm thrilled to hear that you got a good report! That's wonderful! Now you can relax and enjoy looking for b____ property! YAY!!! Thank you, Lord!
Have accomplished a lot today. Got a few loads of laundry done, and the house is cleaned up reasonably well. Got quite a bit of Algebra homework done. Got the bulldogs taken care of. Sis-in-law & Bro-in-law will be back home by dinnertime tonight, Good Lord willing.
Diann, I have mixed up a batch of your non-streak window cleaner, and by golly, it's GREAT! Thank you for making my life a little less complicated! I may actually have clean, non-streaked windows before too long. That will be a first! (Windex is LOUSY!)
Well, better go now and empty the dryer. Will check back later, after I get home from school. That should be about 10 pm, Pacific time. Have a good evening! :o]
Finished dinner and now taking the one car to shop for some work on it in the morning. Lolly I remember you saying you would be in town a day ahead of OH so we'll all come to the camp ground for dinner with you and Jack. lol
Be back after dropping off car and just a few other errands. I had sent Norma a card to her home - sure hope she gets it Saturday. BBILW
Jo, I mailed Norma's card yesterday....you never know with WV post offices!
Diann, sorry you are feeling too bad to cook. I need the window recipe if you will please post or email it!! The sunroom windows are a real bugger to clean....and they sure need it!
Andy, glad the bull dog parents will be home tonight. One less thing in your busy schedule!
Watching news---rescue chamber for Chilean miners is only 300 ft. from them........mobile Medical facilities has arrived. May---hopefully---be only a few days, if all goes well. Noticed that some of equipment onsite says GROVE----major manufacturer of huge cranes just up the interstate a little ways in PA!
Finished dinner and it was yummy. Yes, we are going to be at Harper's Ferry on Thursday. Come on down. We can have a wiener roast. LOL However, I am going to the nest Thursday, so we better forget that idea. Sorry!
49 but we got the trailer up to a toasty 70. Ahhhh...the wonders of cooking.
Got a picture of Zach from Ashley. At his school they had the blessing of the animals. He had his blue whale, Ran, blessed. So cute, I loved the picture. It looked like a little chunky Michael. He looks so much like his daddy!
Added four new pictures. Did not load any last night and these are yesterday's pictures, rather "some" of yesterday's pictures. Did not take any today.
I guess I have 3 shows this evening. Bones, CSI, The Mentalist
When we have to change the clocks it is going to be dark sooooooo early. I remember hating it the most when I worked and it would feel like you just didn't have an evening!!
Lolly, you and Jack really picked a great season in which to travel. I don't think our leaves this year are going to be as beautiful as those you're seeing.
Don't understand why west coast time shows the shows exactly 3 hrs. later than here, as time is....but central time doesn't alter the schedule. Wonder what Mt. time does?
I sent Norma's card out early enough for West Virginia mail to get it to her. Well it should haved mailed it Monday...to afraid they wuoldn't get it there.
Hedgie-Lynn so HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY you got good results at doctors. That is off your shoulders. Leading to a nice trip to the BBBBBBBB; hum can we say the word?
Diann it was so nice meeting you at the nest visit. I am disappointed that you won't be at Open House.
Getting ready to get comfy and then watch TV. Just had a good belly laugh. Amanda, the former student of mine who I gave all my "stuff" as she is a early childhood teacher, just said of fb that she is going to be "The old lady who swallowed a fly" for Halloween. She is pregnant. That is just too funny!
Paula someone ask you something about they thought you son already graduated college. Did you give an answer cause I can't find it. I thought he had too. Help me out here lol
I would like to ask for some prayer for myself. I am changing from a doctor in Hagerstown to a doctor here in Martinsburg. The concern I have had. Was confirmed when I went to the new doctor's office here in Martinsburg to set up things. Instead of 5 years I should have been having colonoscopy every 3 years. So "all is in God's hand". I have heard a lot of good about this doctor here in Martinsburg. First appointment is Oct. 25th and he will schedule what is needed from that date. I thank you so very much for your eagle prayers.
Evening all! Busy day at Irvine today. They are getting ready for the big fundraising Gala tomorrow night. They've got over 500 people coming! It's an "UN-formal" event!
Ran into an client from my old vet hospital there today, too...I thought I saw her last week in the volunteer naturalist class, and sure enough she was there today. That was pretty cool.
Lynnellen, so glad you got some good news today!!!
But very sorry to learn that Margy's sister is not doing so well. Prayers continue....
Judie never checked in, did she? Bet she doesn't know that Margy is just a few blocks away. Shirley, too, hasn't made it on. Poor girl sure has her plate full.
Guess Andy is in the middle of her algebra class---sure don 't envy her that one at all!
I'm ready for the tub. Need to soak my flu shot arm---just a tad sore! Thank you all for prayers and praise for my good news. And I send up mine for all needs, but especially for Margy and her family. I suspect that Anne is already having some good conversation with the Lord, so she has been blessed. I think she had last rites earlier today. God bless us one and all, as our Margy says. Goodnight.
Prayers continue for Anne and for Margy and her family. Pray for God to give all of them His peace that surpasses all understanding. ((HUGS)) for Margy.
Prayers for you, too, Dana. Know how difficult it is to switch Drs., and hope all will be fine. Thank you for the prayer for Margy's sister, and for Margy. Beautiful!
Praying for Diann, too. Hope you get to feeling much better. Sorry you won't be able to go to Open House. I won't be able to be there either, so maybe we can hold the fort on the blog together.
Please say some school prayers for me. I am going to have roughly 200 Algebra problems to do by next Tuesday, plus a 1-page handout with more of them. Sure hope I "get it" quickly! The wheels in my head are turning--hopefully fast enough! It's been such a long time since I did any algebra problems. The "search mode" in my head is having to go back VERY far! (Last Algebra class was in 1960!!!!) Please pray. I need all the help I can get! To be honest, doubt if we can thoroughly cover more than 3 chapters in the book in just 6 weeks. I'm just hoping to get to where I understand the PROCESS to figure out the answers. If I can, the rest will fall into place.
Well, it's very late now, and I need to get some sleep. Leaving the night light and the porch light on for those wandering in. Enabling the eye-scanner security and Dana's thumbprint-scanner security. Sleep well, everyone. Let's give all our problems and concerns to God. He's going to be up all night anyway.
I'll talk to you in the morning. God bless, and goodnight. Love each and every one of you! :o]
Good morning all. Just got a capture of Belle....it's in album. GLare is terrible on still cam, but live it's a good view. Thanks for alert, Megan! How is everything in your corner???
GOOD MORNING... JO..WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP SO EARLY?
It's going to be a beautiful day here in COSTUMEVILLE...53° right now, going up to 78°. Hoping for a BUSY day in the shop! Father Gene will take care of the shop while Mountain Mama enjoys Family Friday. Haven't seen my girls and guys for 3 weeks! Only 20 minutes away if he should get extremely busy...that doesn't usually happen til the week of Halloween. We do more business that week than during the whole month! We work together very well at that time...I take care of the money and he takes care of wrapping the costumes (we put plastic bags (like at the cleaners) over the costumes.
I just returned from taking hubby to garage to pick up the car. I was really up around 8 am in order to take my monthly Boniva tablet. Had to wait an hour in order to do any other meds. I'm thinking of doing your routine Lynn and get it once a year......
No, Jo, no word from Margy. Most of packing is done. Can't load truck until after I take Cinnamon to the vet---thank goodness she's boarding there because she is not doing well. Last evening was a rough go and very touchy this morning. Any stretching movement of her head is causing pain, and not walking well. She's a heavy (dead weight) 20#, so not easy to carry when trying to protect her, too.
My heart is heavy for Margy. I so wish the news about Anne could be more optimistic. Prayers for Margy, Anne, and all the family.
Lynn, your news is wonderful. You can now really enjoy the time of b____h house hunting and lunch with Candy.
Diann, please feel better quickly. Thank you for the window cleaner recipe. AND most hopeful about the new doctor.
Andy, thank you for leaving the night light on. I fell down asleep until the alarm this morning. Had to get up to come to the school house for extra office hours. Wishing you the best with the algebra questions -- was one of my more difficult classes.
Darth is one his way to NJ to be there for the 95th anniversary of his family's church. I will be having a mini-vacation!
Wow, this is the earliest I've made it here in a while. Slept well last night, but drank a BIG mug of coffee, and now I'm bouncing off the walls, so to speak. That's a good thing. There's much house cleaning to accomplish today, and the algebra problems are calling my name, too. (Think the best thing to do with them is to work on them for 30 min. to an hour, take a break, then do some more.) There is a major problem with the textbook. In several places, the author seems to assume that we already KNOW either a definition, OR a completely new process. She doesn't define the word, or explain the process!! There are 3 or 4 places (just in Chapter 1) where there are only 1 or 2 practice problems to do. That's not enough (for me, anyway) to really drill the info into our heads so that we "get it"! The teacher and I talked a bit during last night's break, and she says she can see that my "wheels are turning", and I'm beginning to come up with correct answers. Guess my brain's "search mode" DOES go back 50 years after all! May have to play my "get out of jail free card," though. If we really get stuck somewhere, our teacher (God bless her!) gave us her cell phone number, and her e-mail address! The woman should be nominated for sainthood!
Lynn, I'm praying along with Judie for your Cinnie. Hope that there's something the vet can do to make her more comfortable. (Maybe cortisone shots? Don't remember whether they're already trying those.) Gosh, isn't it awful how helpless we feel sometimes when our fur babies are feeling poorly?! ((HUGS)) :o[
Thanks, Judie, for the positive wishes regarding Algebra. I actually did extremely well in that class in high school. Think it's because it's kinda abstract, if that's the correct word. I don't do as well with cut-and-dried math problems. However, here's the challenge. We have 6 weeks of 3-1/2 to 4 hour classes 2 days a week to cover what we studied for an entire YEAR of 5-days-a-week 1-hour classes! Well, the teacher says that if we only cover 3 chapters of a 9-chapter book, so be it. She grades on attendance, class participation, and effort as well as test grades, so guess I have a pretty good chance.
I'm agreeing with you in prayer for Anne and Margy and the whole family, too. It's such a rough thing to have to go through. Hope Margy can feel our ((GROUP HUGS))! Wish I could be there with her. Just feel so darn far away out here!
Lynn, Thanks for the update on the horses. Can't believe that the woman responsible for this mess is only charged with MISDEMEANORS! If it were up to me, I'm afraid she'd be tortured on the rack by now!
Well, I guess I'd better get busy and work off some of the caffeine I've consumed. Will check back in a while to see how things are going. I see that there are about 15 or 20 Mourning Doves on the patio, here for breakfast. Might go work some algebra problems and keep an eye on them at the same time. Have a fantastic red-shirt Friday (TGIF!), and will TTYL. :o}
Andy thank you sweetie for asking about Little Man. He woke me at 4AM this morning. He was struggling to breath. He would look at me with "worry in his eyes". "Mommie help me"...I kept rubbing his throat which seem to help a lot. I told God and Ed don't let him suffer please come down and take him because Ed nor I want him to pass at the vets in a cage. So I am trying to respect Ed's wishes. I brought my covers out to the couch and kept my arm under his and Daddy's Steeler blankie. Resting my arm on him all night after he settled down. He seems to be doing fine today. Of course the stinker slept in lol. He did eat good. So I am just taking it one day at a time. Thank you so much for asking Andy.
Oops--forgot to mention that my avatar is a female blackbird that I made friends with when we were at Lake Arrowhead a few weeks ago. She landed on the chair next to mine, and she developed a real appetite for Hubby's pie crust! (She was not more than a foot away from us!)
Dana, I'm so glad Little Man is doing better today! That's a really good sign that he's eating well. It's scary when they go off their feed! ((HUGS)) You're being a VERY good Mommy! Give the little guy a hug for me. :o] OK--off to do algebra!
Headed out soon to buy a heat soft mat (don't know why they call them a mat). They are so soft and heat is low will turn on and off itself. Cover is washable. Made for doggies. Think I will try this since Little Man was always on or under Daddy's heat blanket.
Lynn-Hedgie you are getting there...time is moving on and you'll soon be heading for OBX. (:

Great news about your meeting up with Candy in NC, Lynn! So happy she and Jim will be at the Open House.

I'm home. All is well with me! Thanks for all prayers.

Speaking of food, gotta get my roast in the oven. I bought it on a cool, damp day! Oh well!!Will eat it anyway!!
49 here! Think I will start the chili now. That will help warm up the trailer. It is so damp and cold!
Sounds like a yummy warm-up dinner, Lolly. If you were in Harpers' Ferry, I'd come visit!!
Bet your roast is smelling good, too, Loretta!
Just turned on camera---windy in the nest!
Lynn, happy to hear of your good report. Now you can go to the beach without worry. Have fun too.
Margy, prayers continuing for your sister and the whole family.
Lolly, you're eating well while on the road. I don't remember my camping days with a menu like that.

Eagle was in the nest! Got a pic, but heard it fly away. Was a clunk upstairs!
Put eagle on the Blog. Will try to get it in album.
Finished dinner and it was yummy. Yes, we are going to be at Harper's Ferry on Thursday. Come on down. We can have a wiener roast. LOL However, I am going to the nest Thursday, so we better forget that idea. Sorry!

Real quick. Supper is ready and Jim's on his way home.
Window cleaner: Equals parts rubbing alcohol and water. That's it. Really easy and I find it works for me.
Grey's does not come on for another 2 hours. Can not get used to the late programs here in the East!
Guess I will go read. BBL
I am certainly going to try the window cleaner. My west side windows at home really streak! Thanks!
Added four new pictures. Did not load any last night and these are yesterday's pictures, rather "some" of yesterday's pictures. Did not take any today.
THINKING OF MARGY!!!!♥♥♥
I guess I have 3 shows this evening.
Bones, CSI, The Mentalist
When we have to change the clocks it is going to be dark sooooooo early.
I remember hating it the most when I worked and it would feel like you just didn't have an evening!!
Lolly, you and Jack really picked a great season in which to travel.
I don't think our leaves this year are going to be as beautiful as those you're seeing.
Right, Jo.....when I worked 9-5 (the last 5 yrs.) I was coming home in the dark----hated it!
Thanks, Diann. Sounds easy to make.
Lolly, we aren't late here----we're right on time!!! I always hate having things come on so early when I'm in St. Louis!!
Don't understand why west coast time shows the shows exactly 3 hrs. later than here, as time is....but central time doesn't alter the schedule. Wonder what Mt. time does?
Lowreeda, news piece now about "your" Ledo's re-opening!!
I sent Norma's card out early enough for West Virginia mail to get it to her. Well it should haved mailed it Monday...to afraid they wuoldn't get it there.
Continuing prayers for Margy. Safe travels and may that sweet lady be placed in God's Hands.

Awesome news about Lynn and Candy, and Candy coming to Open House, will be nice to see her again.

Prayers for Margy and her family.
Diann, sorry you won't be with us, but we will be thinking of you.
Lynn, glad everything is clear!!
Yes, Dana, that was Lynn on the other thread. He did graduate. But he's still my college kid!
I follow that Paula ( :
I would like to ask for some prayer for myself. I am changing from a doctor in Hagerstown to a doctor here in Martinsburg. The concern I have had. But very sorry to learn that Margy's sister is not doing so well. Prayers continue....
Much prayer for you with the new Dr Dana, and thank you for the beautiful prayer earlier for Margy's sister!
Gotcha', Paula. Guess he would appreciate "college kid" better than mine would my "baby girl"!!! LOL!
Lynne, did old vet have any k=job opening for you??
Dana, who are you seeing you now? And what prompted the change? Just your own gut instinct? Prayers that everything will go well.
Hedgie-Lynn you have mail
Word from Margy is: "might hang on 4 days....MTBR...I will probably head home Fri. Love 2 all and thanks 2 all momsters and dadsters".....
oh no, that sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? UGH.
Well, I'm heading to bed now. Prayers for all, especially for Margy and her sis and family. Have a good night everyone.
New message: "Hope 4 recovery poor."
Not good news, Lynn, but thank you for relaying the messages for Margy. Praying for strength for her family.
Prayers for safe travels for Margy. No that doesn't sound good. Wished it was better news. Prayers will continue for Anne, Margy and family.

Prayers for you, too, Dana. Know how difficult it is to switch Drs., and hope all will be fine. Thank you for the prayer for Margy's sister, and for Margy. Beautiful!

My internet has been having issues this morning, so I don't know when they arrived, but both eagles are in the nest right now.
Looks like Lib left, he was sitting back on the edge of the nest. Belle is lying in the sun looking towards the cam.
Gotta run, but Belle( I think) is still there, just laying down, enjoying the morning. Such a pretty sight.
Good morning all.
Just got a capture of Belle....it's in album. GLare is terrible on still cam, but live it's a good view.
Thanks for alert, Megan! How is everything in your corner???
It is a clear crisp morning! And I am privileged to be watching our eagle

Have a great day!
Good morning! 43 but not raining. However, possible showers but we are going hiking anyway. Have my knee support on!!
Prayers for Anne and Margy, pray for peace and comfort.
We love you, Margy!!!♥♥♥♥♥
Wanda, hope the shop is busy, but not so busy that Father Gene has to call you back to the shop. Enjoy your family!!!
I am outta here! Have a great day!☺
I just returned from taking hubby to garage to pick up the car. I was really up around 8 am in order to take my monthly Boniva tablet. Had to wait an hour in order to do any other meds.
I'm thinking of doing your routine Lynn and get it once a year......
Would be a beautiful for a hike here today.
Hope you are almost finished packing Lynn. Have you gotten any text from Margy today?
No, Jo, no word from Margy.
Most of packing is done. Can't load truck until after I take Cinnamon to the vet---thank goodness she's boarding there because she is not doing well. Last evening was a rough go and very touchy this morning. Any stretching movement of her head is causing pain, and not walking well. She's a heavy (dead weight) 20#, so not easy to carry when trying to protect her, too.
I am sure you are relieved Cinnamon will be at the vet if she takes a turn for the worst. She has had a good life!
I need to go to the Post Office..
Then I need to find some lunch..
ttyl
Good mid-morning to everyone.
Need to do some work. BBL
Lynn, will send a Cinnamon prayer. So difficult with our companion kids.
Hi, Judie, Mema Jo and Lynn,
Wow, this is the earliest I've made it here in a while. May have to play my "get out of jail free card,"
though. If we really get stuck somewhere, our teacher (God bless her!) gave us her cell phone number, and her e-mail address! The woman should be nominated for sainthood!
Lynn,
I'm praying along with Judie for your Cinnie. Hope that there's something the vet can do to make her more comfortable. (Maybe cortisone shots? Don't remember whether they're already trying those.) Gosh, isn't it awful how helpless we feel sometimes when our fur babies are feeling poorly?!
((HUGS)) :o[
Thanks, Judie.
Hope you enjoy your bachlorette weekend.
Thanks, Judie, for the positive wishes regarding Algebra. I actually did extremely well in that class in high school. Think it's because it's kinda abstract, if that's the correct word. I don't do as well with cut-and-dried math problems. However, here's the challenge. We have 6 weeks of 3-1/2 to 4 hour classes 2 days a week to cover what we studied for an entire
YEAR of 5-days-a-week 1-hour classes! Well, the teacher says that if we only cover 3 chapters of a 9-chapter book, so be it. She grades on attendance, class participation, and effort as well as test grades, so guess I have a pretty good chance.
Hedgie-Lynn I am glad Cinnamon will be with the vet while you are away.
Have they tried muscle relaxers with her yet?
Prayers for our sweet Margy, Anne and family. God be with them all.
Yes, Judie,
Hope you enjoy your little vacation weekend! Be sure to pamper yourself a little!
Hi, Dana,
I'm agreeing with you in prayer for Anne and Margy and the whole family, too. It's such a rough thing to have to go through. Hope Margy can feel our ((GROUP HUGS))!
Wish I could be there with her. Just feel so darn far away out here!
How is Little Man doing today? Have been praying for him, too.
Judie,
Sorry you had to show up at school today for extra office hours. Hope the time goes quickly for you!
Lynn,
Thanks for the update on the horses.
Can't believe that the woman responsible for this mess is only charged with MISDEMEANORS! If it were up to me, I'm afraid she'd be tortured on the rack by now!
Well, I guess I'd better get busy and work off some of the caffeine I've consumed. Will check back in a while to see how things are going.
I see that there are about 15 or 20 Mourning Doves on the patio, here for breakfast. Might go work some algebra problems and keep an eye on them at the same time. Have a fantastic red-shirt Friday (TGIF!), and will TTYL. :o}
I brought my covers out to the couch and kept my arm under his and
Daddy's Steeler blankie.
Getting ready for vet trip and Jiffy Lube. BBL.
Dana, I'm so glad Little Man is doing better today! That's a really good sign that he's eating well. It's scary when they go off their feed! ((HUGS)) You're being a VERY good Mommy! Give the little guy a hug for me. :o] OK--off to do algebra!
Dana, sorry Little Man has not been feeling well. I know your caring for him makes a huge difference. Give him a little extra ♥ from me.
Headed out soon to buy a heat
soft mat (don't know why they call them a mat). They are so soft and heat is low will turn on and off itself. Cover is washable. Made for doggies. Think I will try this since Little Man was always on or under Daddy's heat blanket.
Lynn-Hedgie you are getting there...time is moving on and you'll soon be heading for OBX. (:
