Fun website for creating an avatar, but I have not figured out how to put it on this blog. We learned about it at school. You can have it call your phone and use that to put your voice on it. All of you creative and tech-savy folks out there might be able to figure out how to put it on here.
Good morning, everyone. Crisp and sunshiny this a.m.
Thank you, Steve. Have a nice weekend.
Wanda, just too amazing that GG made an apple pie. The menu sounds so yummy. Glad it was another nice family night. Hope today is a real money-maker for you and Father Gene.
Andy, I fell asleep but I think the night light stayed on. Need to check the light bulb.
Happy shopping Shirley and wishing a fun time for all tonight.
Lynn, sorry about Bill's mom and hope she is improving by now. Have a safe return trip.
Jo, nice to know Dana has someone nearby. Thanks for the info. I'll rest easier.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE... 53° and sunny here in EMPTY NESTVILLE! Going up to 66°. Perfect weather for shopping for Halloween costumes:)
We have Dustin here with us this weekend. Haven't had a visit from him for about 6 weeks. He loves to "hang around" the shop and wait for some of the cute college girls to come and shop. Shepard University is 3 miles down the road and they do love to shop here. They buy odds and ends and put together their own "creation". Money is tight, as we know, for the college kids and it is interesting to see what they can throw together with $10 or $15. They are fun and amazing young people! Hope that in between pretty girl visits, Dustin can mow our grass:)
Shirley, I doubt that you can put the avatar that you were describing on here. Use to be able to put "Moving" avatars on here, but Paula said we can no longer do that, for some reason. So, not sure about what you are trying to do.
DUSTIN'S breakfast request: Bratwurst, fried hash browns with a smattering of hot southwest hash browns thrown in with red peppers and sweet onions. Scrambled eggs on the side, 2 pieces of toast and a glass of chocolate milk! Almost done. BBL
We love Bratwurst, but don't have it very often, usually when Dustin is here:) My cholesterol is way down and I want to keep it that way! Gene's cholesterol is good, naturally. Maybe we need to have Dustin's checked...problem starts early in life.
Emails, FB comments/pictures and the newspaper keep me busy. Really windy out here today. Leaves are blowing all over the deck - great play things for my cats. Love your new pic Shirley. Hope you have a very profitable day in the shop and also get your lawn mowed, Wanda.
Just got a call from GG and she was checking to make sure I was at home. She said there was a very bad accident (I guess by her house) and traffic was at a standstill...have to ask Margy about it when she gets home from work. Pray there are no bad injuries!
Wahoooooo!!!! Guess what...I am on our new computer. iphone typing is slow! Now I can start back on my blog with pictures. Yea! Really have been doing pretty good with my phone, love that thing!
It has been raining but we will soon go looking for eagles. I know my chances, but we will still go looking. It is a beautiful spot.
Went on bird walk at Irvine this morning with one of the best from the Baltimore Bird Club. Saw 4 that I have never seen before. A Blue Headed Vireo, several Palm Warblers and both a male and female Black Throated Blue Warbler. Also saw plenty of raptors! Several Redtails, several Sharpies, but no eagles. Saw some chipping sparrows, too. I guess they are migrating through because my summer bunch at the feeders are long gone. Several folks saw a Savannah Sparrow, but I missed that one.
Good Afternoon to Everyone in Eagleland! Where are the eagles? Lolly may see one first!Glad you guys didn't drive around in that terrible wind. It cleared up here in DC area---sunny, but breezy. Lynne--isn't it amazing the variety of birds out there that we don't usually see? I've seen some of the blue warblers, but rarely.Need to go w/the experts! Shirley, love your eagles! I think Wanda's daughter, Butterfly Mama, had a beautiful fluttering butterfly avatar on here a few years ago. Then it stopped moving, I think. Well, back to doing stuff~~~~
you got that right, Loretta...it's a whole lot easier going with an expert! Now, if I was alone, I would have missed them most likely. And if I had seen them, I would have had to try to remember markings and colors and look them up in my book and by then they'd be gone!
Hubby and I met my Sis-in-law for breakfast in Fullerton. Had fun getting caught up on the latest.
We're going to go see "Secretariat" this afternoon. Movie review to follow. :o]
Weather here is glorious: 65 degrees, cloudy, and either drizzles, sprinkles, or light rain. Loving it!
Have been working on my Algebra. Sure hope that with the "Dummies" book, enough sinks in so that I don't flunk the Tuesday exam! Doing better; just hope it's good enough!
Well, need to go get busy in the kitchen. Have a great Saturday afternoon (what's left of it), and I'll BBL. Prayers continue for all. :o]
Seems it has been a good day for all. Lolly has a new computer, Jo is taking things easy, Lynn2 had a good birding day, Andy saw Secretariat, Shirley has likely got some more new clothes, Jayden is exploring a pumpkin, Paula has mowed, and I am about to fall down asleep.
Going to try to watch t.v. but will likely have an early night.
I've been thinking about PixPa! Surely should be some animal action there! I can stll wait to see if Rackety Coon turns on the spotlight!! LOL
Spoke to daughter in TX. She got home from Orient Wed. PM, went to work TH & Fri. on 45 min. sleep!! & is leaving Monday for a week in Vienna!!!It's their normal Fall European Office Convention, but could not get hall in Amsterdam where their office is, so have to take a castle in Vienna!! What a life! Told her all I want for Xmas is CD of pics! She is also going to send me a mystery something I can put in raffle in addition to my first mystery item. Hope it will get here in time. Will definitely fit in a breadbox!
Missed the buck in PA.Just checked Snowman cam, too. They say "leaves are falling like rain!" Snowman has a Dracula cape and Ms. Goose has a pumpkin costume.
We really enjoyed the SNOWMAN CAM! Wonder if that lawsuit was ever settled? Loretta, forgot what you daughter does that takes her to so many wonderful places. She must be a very educated young lady!
Yes, Jo, the weather called for soup. Gene made Chili yesterday and it was sooo good. Maybe his best ever:) Dustin had 2 big bowls for lunch with lots of cheddar cheese on top. Lord have mercy, what an appetite. He had 3 pieces of chicken and a BOWL full of veggies with pasta and butter sauce (baked chicken and low cal butter sauce). He will want a bowl of cereal and a banana for a SNACK in an hour or so:) I can remember when he had a bowel obstruction and wouldn't eat for days...lost 25 or 30 pounds. That was 3 or 4 years ago, went down to 94 lbs. He now weighs 200lbs. He seems very healthy, not sure if he has any lingering affects from his Lymes Disease, whenever that was (2 years ago?)
While Dustin was mowing my lawn, he decided to take out a stump that has finally rotted to the point that it just needed to be pushed over. He picked it up and placed it in the wheelbarrow and discovered a nest of hatched black snake eggs. EEEWWWW! Posted on Wild and Wonderful (not wonderful, but that is where I put all the wildlife stuff!) I've never seen an actual snake egg in person, only pictures. Kinda neat!
Today was our best day yet, at the shop. People are done "looking" and starting to buy now:) Finally got some decorations outside the shop...didn't think I would ever find time. You can find a few photos on Wanda's Wishes.
Wanda, the pics are so awesome of the black snake eggs!!! Wish I had one! Think I'll go out tomorrow and check some old wood out back on the property and see if I can find any. Also, loved the chipping sparrow "Minnie Pearl" nest! too funny! And the foxes on the beach!
Sure Wanda! I may find some tomorrow and if I do then I'll let you know not to worry about saving them. But if I don't, they'll be a great addition to my "Science and Nature" collection!
I have such a cool collection of stuff...I bought some moss and gathered some sticks and stones to set up displays, and some picture frames for my feather collections....and I have a nice glass front cabinet to put it all in....got it all last winter and have yet to fix it up!
Home.....very tired. Gotta get some unpacking done, but heading for tub----to warm up and relax cramped muscles! Too tired to read back. May be back later...but more likely will talk to all tomorrow. Love to all. Prayers.
Is this usual? I'm thinking it was more in Nov. of last year when we really started seeing them go full on with nestorations but I'm not sure. Was wondering, too, about the timing of putting up the new cam equipment. At what point will it be unwise to do so for fear of scaring them away?
Good evening! Back to sharing the computer with the jubby. But that is okay...I love him. We are having such a fantastic time! Hope you can get on fb and see the pics. We did not see any eagles, just lots of gulls fishing.
The rain brought out the fall colors even more. It is just beautiful!
Wanda, the shop looks great! I might drop in Thursday. Watch out! Or, possible Friday! We get to Harpers Ferry Thursday. I want to go to the nest Thursday evening.
Wanda, just saw the fox pics you put on. They are fantastic!
I need to leave, dry my hair and put some things away.
We are heading out in the morning, We are heading to Durham, ME. Will be there one night. Then down to Mystic, Conn for two nights and then Thurs....ta da....Harpers's Ferry.
I still check Snowman cam every few days. Believe the law suit is pending. State decided to prosecute again. It has been quite a long while so maybe state's attorneys are just letting it slide into never never land -- not worth the expense and bad publicity.
Will be captured soon by the sandperson. Wishing all a good night's sleep. Turning my light off but will leave the night light on for others coming in, Andy returning from algebra class, anyone headed back the hallway, to the tub, to the recliner, or just stumbling around in the night.
Three sisters ages 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together.
One night the 96 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells to the other sisters, "Was I getting in or out of the bath?"
The 94 year old yells back, "I don't know. I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses "Was I going up the stairs or down?"
The 92 year old is sitting at the kitchen table having tea listening to her sisters. She shakes her head and says, "I sure hope I never get that forgetful," she knocked on wood.
She then yells, "I'll come up and help both of you as soon as I see who's at the door."
Long term forecast for Shepherdstown for next Saturday, sunny and high near 63.
I can't believe we haven't even had a frost yet here!
Fell asleep reading my book and woke to the sound of stinkbugs flying around, SIX of them. They must have been inside the radiator cover and woke up when I turned the heat on a little while ago. GROSSSSSSS
Going to take the dogs out and hit the rack. I can remember a day when Saturday nights were just starting at 10:30....
I, too, remember those days, Lynne:) We would dance til the band quit playing at 1am and run around the room collecting money to pay the band to play another hour. Then, we would go to someone's house and dance some more, fix breakfast and go home when the sun came up...a lifetime ago:) We had enough of those times to last a lifetime...don't miss them now.
On my other laptop I just had to plug in the scan disk and it would down load. Guess I am going to have to use wires to hook up the camera and I do not have them with me. I emailed myself a picture from my camera. Saved it and tried to load it to my blog, but it is tiny and do not know how to make it bigger. Have to do some more figuring!!!!! Nite again!
Lynne - that was a good one BUT it sure hits close to home nowadays. I'll look at hubby and he'll look at me and we'll both say "What?" Aging does bring many funny moments and at least we can laugh about things if we remember what was funny! lol
What can I say....I lost weight!!! Jack says it was me, jumping up and down when the Rangers won last night!
Good morning! Where is everyone?
Might know we are leaving here and the sun is brightly shining. I am sure it is a beautiful sight on the ocean. They are having a big marathon here today. So happy for them they have sunshine and cool weather. What a beautiful place to run. Voted the most scenic marathon.
Time to get ready to go. Have a good day and I will be chatting with you this evening.
Best wishes for a great day today. It is a glorious morning here in West Virginia
Welcome Home Lynn....hope your re-entry to West Virginia life is good
I am headed to Fairfax to visit with sister and some of the family Site map says I am in Reston...ha ha should be a short trip. I do plan to return tonight, will catch up on as much as I can then...
Prayers for all our health and wellness needs.....
sorry I can't stay long...got to shake a leg and head down the road....
Kathryn and I slept in a bit this morning. It is definitely fall weather here now, but no frost yet that I am aware of.
We went up to Rus and Rebecca's housewarming/birthday celebration last night. Will, Kathryn and I went up and met Susan there.
It was an eventful night. My ex was there and Will and Susan actually spoke with their father for the first time in probably 20 years. Yes, I know. It sounds strange. It is a long story. He is not a social person. They were children when he left.
He seems to have recovered well from the heart surgery.
Double checked our reservation for open house yesterday and everything is set at the Comfort Inn. Kathryn, Hunter, and I will be arriving on Friday evening. Susan will join us on Saturday.
Hi Shirley....sounds like an important day you and your family have experienced... blessings to all of you...
Anne is in guarded condition, eating some (not sure what it is, probably like baby food) - speaking some, cognizant sometimes, confused others....breathing on her own, still has some infection, more evaluations being done...
Thank you ALL for your concerns and prayers and postive thoughts for all of us...
I want to stay and be more polite, talk to each of you...but I have to head on out...

Hi, Wanda! Good morning. Thanks for the call-over. And thanks for the new thread, Steve.

Hi, Judie!
Hope you have a good day. A beautiful fall morning here.
Wow, Wanda, if you are only three miles from the college, you are quite close to the Clarion.
Hello there, Judie and Shirley:)
Shirley, I doubt that you can put the avatar that you were describing
on here. Use to be able to put "Moving" avatars on here, but Paula said we can no longer do that, for some reason. So, not sure about what you are trying to do.
Yep, I am close to the Clarion, Shirley. AND I can run down to the SHEETZ store and get gas in a hurry!
Speaking of "moving" avatars, my avatar is suppose to flutter her eyelashes...really cute and not annoying.
DUSTIN'S breakfast request:
Bratwurst, fried hash browns with a smattering of hot southwest hash browns thrown in with red peppers and sweet onions. Scrambled eggs on the side, 2 pieces of toast and a glass of chocolate milk!
Almost done.
BBL
Yeah, we could not figure out how to get that avatar to appear here, Wanda. I tried several times. It is a fun site, anyway.
Well, if Dustin will mow your grass, that breakfast sounds fair enough.
Got to go back and get my George avatar back or find something else. I deleted it when I tried once again to upload the moving avatar.
My pictures are on a flash drive in my desk drawer at school.
We love Bratwurst, but don't have it very often, usually when Dustin is here:)
My cholesterol is way down and I want to keep it that way!
Gene's cholesterol is good, naturally. Maybe we need to have Dustin's checked...problem starts early in life.
Trying to put in a new avatar.
Okay, I found some pictures and chose a something I want to see when I go to open house. Not the snow, though.
Okay, new picture. No snow.
Need food. BBL.
Good morning everyone.... Just made it by 4 minutes....
Emails, FB comments/pictures and the newspaper keep me busy. Really windy
out here today. Leaves are blowing all over the deck - great play things for my cats.
Love your new pic Shirley.
Hope you have a very profitable day in the shop and also get your lawn mowed,
Wanda.
I'm afraid to let Dustin mow, Jo. Wind might blow a limb down on him:(
Just got a call from GG and she was checking to make sure I was at home. She said there was a very bad accident (I guess by her house) and traffic was at a standstill...have to ask Margy about it when she gets home from work. Pray there are no bad injuries!
Love your avatar, Wanda.

Whoo Hoo! Looks as though Jayden is inspecting his first pumpkin! I love that little guy with the handsome eyes.
I have not been doing anything special this afternoon. As old as I am I don't know why I waste my time doing nothing!
Time is precious!

Love the pic, Wanda
Going out to mow
Tough news about everyone's pets.

Had a busy day.
Going to try to watch t.v. but will likely have an early night.
buck at pix pa
I've been thinking about PixPa! Surely should be some animal action there! I can stll wait to see if Rackety Coon turns on the spotlight!! LOL
Spoke to daughter in TX. She got home from Orient Wed. PM, went to work TH & Fri. on 45 min. sleep!! & is leaving Monday for a week in Vienna!!!It's their normal Fall European Office Convention, but could not get hall in Amsterdam where their office is, so have to take a castle in Vienna!! Will definitely fit in a breadbox!
Missed the buck in PA.Just checked Snowman cam, too.
They say "leaves are falling like rain!" Snowman has a Dracula cape and Ms. Goose has a pumpkin costume.
ah snowmancam...thanks for thaT REMINDER!
Sure Wanda! I may find some tomorrow and if I do then I'll let you know not to worry about saving them. But if I don't, they'll be a great addition to my "Science and Nature" collection!
OKIE, DOKIE:)
I have such a cool collection of stuff...I bought some moss and gathered some sticks and stones to set up displays, and some picture frames for my feather collections....and I have a nice glass front cabinet to put it all in....got it all last winter and have yet to fix it up!
K51 is at the WE nest...
Home.....very tired. Gotta get some unpacking done, but heading for tub----to warm up and relax cramped muscles! Too tired to read back. May be back later...but more likely will talk to all tomorrow. Love to all. Prayers.
Sure wish we had some birds in OUR nest!
Is this usual? I'm thinking it was more in Nov. of last year when we really started seeing them go full on with nestorations but I'm not sure. Was wondering, too, about the timing of putting up the new cam equipment. At what point will it be unwise to do so for fear of scaring them away?
WECLOME HOME LYNNELLEN!
Wanda, neat pic of the snake eggs.
Nice pics on your family album :)
Welcome home, Lynn! You were missed ♥
Lynne, don't think our pair is going anywhere :)
Welcome home, Lynn

Good evening! Back to sharing the computer with the jubby. But that is okay...I love him. We are having such a fantastic time! Hope you can get on fb and see the pics. We did not see any eagles, just lots of gulls fishing.
The rain brought out the fall colors even more. It is just beautiful!
Well, Lynn, have you decided on a house?

Good morning!
And God bless you and your sister, Margy. How is Anne today?
Double checked our reservation for open house yesterday and everything is set at the Comfort Inn. Kathryn, Hunter, and I will be arriving on Friday evening. Susan will join us on Saturday.
Dogs got into the Fun Dip last night. What a mess. I saw blue sugary stuff all over the place when I came downstairs this morning. Lordy.
Beauteous pictures, Lolly. You look positively skinny.
Interesting snake eggs, Wanda. How do you know they are blacksnakes?
Really cool to spot foxes at the beach. And so convenient to have the camera nearby.
Wonder what happened to Andy last night?
Wonder what happened to Andy last night?
Hi Shirley....sounds like an important day you and your family have experienced...
blessings to all of you...
Anne is in guarded condition, eating some (not sure what it is, probably like baby food) - speaking some, cognizant sometimes, confused others....breathing on her own, still has some infection, more evaluations being done...
Thank you ALL for your concerns and prayers and postive thoughts for all of us...
I want to stay and be more polite, talk to each of you...but I have to head on out...
xoxo Love to you all....
