Got to Shepherdstown about noon. Lunch at Betty's. Crabcake sandwich (not on menu) which was recommended by waitress. Outstanding. Betty is deceased. Pricey but really good.
Then went on an excursion to a costume shop. Darth went in alone and asked if he could get a Darth costume. The fun has begun.
Next went to NCTC and a nice man let us go in to drive up to the nest. No eagles but the nest is still there. Tried to coax Boris down but he's too savvy to fall into my trap.
Now at Comfort Inn after passing by Sheetz during our adventures.
Only a few more hours.

Well, I've got our little picnic lunch packed for tomorrow. It's going to be a beautiful day, and we'd rather use the money from lunch for some raffle tickets!
Getting my seeds together now. Magazines for Margy for James are packed, a special flag for Lynnellen is ready. Binos are packed, beads are ready! Have to take a bunch of pictures off the camera and put on computer to make room for massive picture taking tomorrow! Extra batteries are packed.
Now all I have to do is get some doggie bone treats, dinner and meds ready for the critters for Tracey when she comes tomorrow....and I'll be all set!!

Hi all! Need to read back on the blog. Jack and I ventured out this afternoon to the park...Harpers Ferry. Have been there before but it has been a few years. Beautiful day and enjoyed our walk around. Took pictures from Jefferson's Rock.
Then we went to a costume shop but Wanda knew we were coming and fled the scene, She was at GG's having a G & T!!! Visited with Father Gene. Love Wanda's shop! Really neat!
Anxious to meet Judie and Darth! LOL It was so funny. Last night we were driving around and I saw a Sheetz Store and yelled. Jack could not figure out what I was yelling about. :)
Lynne, we are going to miss you tonight. Will take pictures!
Glad I went back and read the blog. Now I have seen Judie and Darth's picture! Yea, Judie...looking forward to seeing you in just a few!

Wow, looks like it was a good crowd!!!
Just saw report that at Dulles yesterday, a Jet Blue was taking off & hit a bald eagle. Eagle was found on runway, had broken wing & was taked to a rehab. Man was holding it & it looked OK otherwise. Hope it heals well!

Wow! A middle-of-the-night eagle sighting last night!! Good going, Lynne2! Wish I had checked back, but missed it by an hour or so. You tried to get my attention, Lynne! Thanks for that. Fantastic pictures!!
Bet all of you are having a good time! Hubby and I went and saw "Hereafter" with Matt Damon. It was VERY good! Don't know HOW they managed to film the scenes about the tsunami. Film was directed by Clint Eastwood. It tells 3 parallel stories--one about a French TV journalist who survives a tsunami, one about a blue collar American (Matt Damon) who is psychic and communicates with the dead, and the third story is about a young British boy whose twin brother gets killed. I really liked it! It has a nice ending, too.
Well, better get going. Hubby's in the kitchen cooking, and I need to go help. Will be back a bit later.

Still at the clarion winning sttuff
I just came over the mountain with Iris following me the whole way. I am exhausted - such an enjoyable day. Think I saw all the exhibits this time.
The dinner went very well and I think everyone enjoyed being there.
Until next year is hard to say when leaving.
Headed in to watch 9:00 movie with hubby. (I just may close my eyes and not see it all)

What a fantastic day! I didn't do the Eaglet Momsters table this year, and thoroughly enjoyed the Open House. Dinner at the Clarion was great. Thank you to so many people for their part in putting together a wonderful evening. We made a toast to all who couldn't be there today!

Yes!!! A fantastic day and an even better evening. However, I want you all to know the party is over here at the campground. You would not believe all the campfires, large groups sitting out, laughter all over the place. Kids running around having a ball. You should see the RVs! They are decorated to the hilt. KOA has a good thing going for families!! Jack and I fixed G&T's and walked around. Took some pics and going to put on fb. Come on over and we will build a fire...bring your own chair! :)

What a FANTASTIC DAY!!! I can't thank everyone enough for all the work that went into our wonderful dinner party. Simply amazing!! Steve and I had the BEST time! Only sorry that we didn't have more one on one time with everyone! The blessing from Glo was beautiful, and it was great to have a message from Chrissy at dinner! Our eagles were a no show, but I think they may have been watching us!

Lynn, forgot to tell you. Here at the campground, the campsite next to us has a COWBOY awning. They are from WV and great COWBOY fans!!! We talked with them earlier, they are fans because the BOYS are American's team!!(Their words! lol)

Just want to thank everyone for all of their help, contributions and good will in making our weekend a great success. Hope everyone enjoyed the camaraderie that our coming together provides. You folks who traveled so far to be with us are tired, I know, but hope that the fun we had will keep you lively as you make your journey home.

I am getting on here too late to go into detail about our wonderful day. From the moment it started to the last good-byes in the parking lot,there was never a dull moment. Something to do or somewhere to go all day!
It was so special to finally meet Jim, Candy's fubby and Frank (aka, Darth). So happy to see Lolly and Jack once again and their travelling companion, "it";) Paula has a place all piced out for "it"!
It was so special to me that Glo wrote such a meaningful blessing and honored me by asking me to read it! Hope she can come to visit again one of these years:)

Still pooped from yesterday...gonna have a cup of coffee and get ready for work...ugh!
Good morning! Had a great nights sleep, boy were we pooped. Such a fun night! Moving slow this morning, enjoying my coffee and then we will be heading out to explore, go the grocery store, etc! Hopefully to the nest this evening.
This campground really rocked last night, laughter everywhere. We loved it! Such wonderful, wholesome, family fun! Then it quieted down at quiet time. :)

Good morning! We went to Wanda and Gene's shop and got us a Halloween costume. She has so many great costumes it was hard to pick out just oneM. Then we went back the nest but no eagles :( Heading down the road back to Bluefield now. What a great weekend it has been!! Love you all so much! See you in the spring!
