Palmer announced her arrival with gusto.
Is that leftover turtle or a new one? I see one shell and know there were two. Now, Palmer is munching on the turtle.
Adult departed soon after Palmer's arrival.
That is, I see one shell in addition to the turtle being eaten.
After all her hearty eating yesterday I was hoping she would be back when the food arrived.

Good morning. So from what I have read Palmer did leave. Adult came in with another turtle and then Palmer came back. Is that right?

Palmer was not at the nest when I first logged on this morning, but she came screaming back when an adult was eating a turtle. I think it was a new turtle, because I believe the two shells there were empty. That should mean there are three turtle shells in the nest now. Palmer is resting there right now.
In fact, it looks like Palmer is resting on top of one or two turtle shells.
I watched Paula's videos last night. I'm so grateful to Pammy and Paula for doing that for those of us who didn't get to watch live!
Anyway, I thought screaming Palmer's return was hilarious at one point: there's a skinny branch sticking up in the nest between her and Lib, and she's having a hissy fit and trying to get her point across but the skinny branch is right in front of her face so she just snaps it and keeps right on screeching to him about her "issues," never missing a beat.
She's standing up now
