06/12/10: It looks like our three chicks are getting curious about the big wide world. It also looks like they're entering their "dinosaur" stage (or 2nd coat of down).
Check out this Kim Taylor photo from a Patuxent River nest for an example of the "dinosaur" look.
06/12/10: We've been seeing the occasional eaglet on the nest with a fish. We can't be sure if a parent dropped off the food or if the eaglets are finding their own food yet, but eventually they'll learn to scavenge and fish for themselves.
Rest of Today Mostly sunny. A chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the upper 80s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Good morning everyone! I am here at the lake wishing I was there with ya'll!! Hope ya'll get to see our big girl fledge today! Wouldn't that just be awesome!!
Paula says that is Lib, okay. Lib is still in the nest and chowing down on very old nestovers while Palmer get the fresh delivery. It is time for you all to be at the nest.
LOL Lib has been waiting around as he wants to eat. Palmer moved away from food and Lib moved in. Now Palmer is say...no fair, I want more and putting up a real fuss while Lib chows.
I had called Wanda a while ago and gave her morse code for Deb. They did it and I am pretty sure i have it recorded. I haven't recorded the nest all year so a little rusty but we sure tried to do it. Wish me luck and a few prayers. I could hear them all too How neat Palmer is quieter that she has been all morning
Hi, Eagle Gang! Just got home from Wal-Mart a few minutes ago.
Haven't caught up on the blog much, but see that Palmer is still in the nest. Waiting to hear a horn honk! Bet you guys will have a great time today, and wish I could be there too. Drink a non-alcoholic Palmer for me, OK?
Margie unless I called the wrong number there should be a message for you on your phone. Don't call back though not the number i used unless weeekends its family plan with daughters cell phone.
Closing down cam and going to spend some time trying to make a memory. I don't think she is going to fledge today, but if she does I will be missing it. Think Steve can back track and get video anyway since I htink all the other recorders are at the nest. Enjoy your day. Will post a link in several hours if I can get it up and ready for Blog.
OK great glad you sent a text. They will know we got it and I am working on it now. I hope it comes out ok. its been a while with this program and not at all with this live cam this year.
and Dana just called me and I missed that too... her message was very "warbly" too could only half-hear the words did send her a txt msg also so I think the message has been delivered
BEagle - you're not missing much, because what I'm hearing is a bad feed today, lots of noise (buzz or whine) in the audio that covers up the chirps and anything else we'd want to hear
Well, just my luck that I can't get the live cam to open at all this morning. So disappointed but am really happy that others not at the nest have seen some Palmer action and heard the party.
Now I know where they are and it looks like Palmer is looking out at them at the moment because she is at about 11. That is, if the momsters are still there.
Oh, Judie! I'm SO sorry your cam is not working for you today! That's AWFUL! Darn thing, anyway! Hopefully Glo was able to get a video earlier, and will post.
Palmer's been giving me fits with her wingercizes this morning! Afraid she'll catch some air, and the wind will catch her!
If they were able to park by the tree with the road leading to Day Care which I bet and hope they were then they aren't that far away at all. They can see the action and hear the calls. Not good with distances but from that spot they would have very enjoyable view. Still working on making video. It takes some time but I am getting there :-)
Yes, by turning it way up, the chirping of that one bird that is apparently close to the nest is very clear now, and the wind is (unfortunately!) audible as well. But I was hoping that Momsters might be saying something every now and then that we could hear, but if so, it's not clear enough to make out what they're saying.
Saving movie file now but its the uploading that takes the real time :-( at least from my old computer. I bet they are having a ball together. Glad Palmer is staying put for now to be honest. I didn't want to miss a fledge making the movie but afraid to run live feed too much more before downloading and saving it. Ya just never know
Yes, I think there are voices down there, but can't make out what they're saying - if it wasn't so windy and if the whiny buzz wasn't there and if a Momster was trying to talk to the cam, we might actually be able to make out what was being said
Well, guess I gotta go--Hubby wants to go do some more shopping. Gotta get the errands done. Will check back as soon as we're back home. Have fun, and keep an eye on Palmer! Hope someone is able to get a picture if she takes off! BBL :o]
Well when you do get to see/hear the video I did have it turned up of course to get the horn and the voices as they sent their message to the nest and all of us wherever we are :-). Can't help the buzz. It is what it is.
Just talked to Sharon from the nest. The cell signal is terrible, so I didn't get any info except that one parent is below the nest right now. We were out on the boat and missed the arrival and morse code, but the idea of it made me cry! Deb Palmer sure did leave an impression on our lives, didn't she? I bet she had no idea what she meant to us!!
Sissy look back a post or 2 you can follow link to hear it now. Yes it made me cry as I heard it and heard the Momsters following it. Her presence is felt at the visit today for sure.
Just talked with Paula, Suzanne, Norma, Wanda, and I done't know who else. Heard them all cheering and yelling "hello!" Yea, I am happy and happy for them that they are having such a great time.
They have not had the toast to Deb yet. Wanda is getting ready to ask Capt Gene to get them ready!
So, here's to DEB. We miss you Deb and all that you contributed to our blog!
Glad you got some hellos from the folks at the nest. Nice to see a rundown of some of the names. It is a special nest visit indeed. Of course they all are but this one as a few extra times that are important to us all. I so miss the sunshine Norma brings to the blog. I am so very glad she is at the nest visit.
Hi, Gang, Back home from shopping. Glo, you did a GREAT job on the video! Thank you SO MUCH! I'm sure Deb is watching over the nest, and Palmer, and us! Can't get over how much I still miss her!
Glad folks are stopping by to see and hear the video. It felt so right as it was happening even if it did bring those tears back. They were loving remembering gratitude for having enjoyed something in common with such a special lady. I am glad I could be here to do it and that both the cam and computer co-operated. Ya just never know :-)
Do you recall Deb (Palmer) requesting prayers for a lady from her church in Sioux Falls?? Her name is Doreen Pospisil, a great lady, and I've been reading her CaringBridge blog and praying for her.
Well, her canser (her spelling) has spread and she's been told that her time has shortened...
If you want to check in and maybe say a prayer, here's her link:
Posted this morning................................Lily the Black Bear June 12, 2010 (9:10 AM CDT) Hope met me at the feeding station again this morning. She's spoiling me! Progress toward the eventual collaring is being made. -- SM
EE is the Eagle Express, Wanda and Capt Gene's RV. They have it parked right on the road beside the nest. Wanda was preparing the lunch with help from others. If anyone needs to cool off they can go into the EE. Also, the restroom is there as well in the EE.
Still cannot get the live cam nor can I get Glo's video of the nest visit. Guess I'm just out-of-luck today. Anyway, it sounds as if everyone had a good time, Palmer included.
Judie am so sorry to read when you cannot get the live feed....I have had lots of problems throughout and only recently can get it pretty consistently
My first nest visit in June 2008 I had to leave around 3 and everyone was pretty mucy still there...now probably safetly enconsced in the EE, and able to look out the large windows...and oooh and aaah from there
Hope you had some restful sleep, Margy. Yes, the wind has been picking up at the nest. Glad Palmer is hunkered down. After one especially strong gale, Palmer waved his glorious wings and I was afraid he was going to blow out of the nest like a kite!
Have been lurking off and on since I got home around noon. I was very sleepy after not having slept much and then sitting in the sun.
Nice video, Glo.
Judie, I am so sorry you cannot get the feed from the live cam. I really have some problems, too, and keep wondering if I am not going to be able to see anything.
Uh, Oh, the rain has started at the nest. Nice that it held off this long. Okay, now we wait for the Momsters to get safely home and get back on the blog.
Keeps telling me I have to update Adobe Flash to 10. Have done so several times. Has worked for other sites. NCTC is only cam that keeps telling me to update. Can't think what the heck the problem is. So discouraging. So disappointed.
Yes, thanks Jim for the update on Doreen. Prayers for her and all her friends and family.
Shirley, how was graduation other than hot and sunny? Hope all went smoothly. Get some rest.
Margy, do you get some time off tonight? Hope so.
Hi Wanda, Lolly, and BEagle. BEagle, sorry I can't remember your real name. Is it Diann? Sorry, the thought is there.
Graduation was very nice, and very hot and sunny. They changed the set-up, though, and had us looking into the sun. I had a straw hat to wear and put it on so that I could see.
One of my current seniors made a speech. A student I taught when he was a freshman was another speaker. I am proud of both of them.
Shirley, did you enjoy the graduation? I did not go to ours this year, though I do still have former students graduating. It is always interesting to read the class history. They start with Kindergarten and mention memories from each year. My class has been mentioned many times. It is a good feeling when they have memories of kindergarten.
It looks like the wind at the nest has calmed down. Did hear some rain not long ago, though. Too bad that Palmer doesn't fit under Belle or Lib any more. Oh--forgot to say "Hi!"--forgive my manners, please!
Thanks Glo for the video! Great! Didn't rain until I left the nest and was headed into Shepherdstown to take Norma to her daughter's home. Then it poured. Everyone should have had their chairs folded and in their vehicles headed out. What a well attended Visit! 27 in all! Lots of talk and fun times. Lots and lots of pictures should be soon forth coming. Palmer most of the time was just looking down on us. Adult had flow into the tree and was just under the nest to the right. We told her it was alright to take off but really did appreciate her sticking around She is a very very beautiful eaglet.
Yay Jo ! thanks! So the adult had a different perch today... last Sunday she was above the nest can't wait to hear more, but it will be mostly in the am that I get to read all about it!
Glad you are home, Jo, safe and sound and did not get wet. Have posted a few pictures from this morning in the album . So glad the weather held off for you.
Hi, Shirley, I'm glad you enjoyed the graduation, and that you didn't spoil your attendance record.
Jim, thanks for the link to Doreen's info. Very sorry to hear about what's going on with her. Many prayers for her and her family and friends.
Not sure why I'm not having trouble with the live cam any more. Has worked OK for me using IE since I upgraded to Adobe Reader 9. Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to work.
Well, Hubby's taking a nap, and that sounds like a good idea, so think I will, too. Will check in later. :o]
It's very nice to hear the various birds chirping near the nest without the annoying hum!
Yes, the hum was really loud this morning. Made it hard to listen for the nest visitors. I actually thought sound on my laptop had been turned down. lol

It won't be long now...Palmer is still in the nest and was just feed by a parent a few minutes ago. Hoping♥
Sorry...FED by a parent!
Either I didn't finish my sentence or Blogger Cop is at work!
(Hoping Palmer is too full to fledge for a few hours:)
Good Morning!
Thanks for the new thread, Steve!
Got to show the kids the parent and Palmer in the nest this morning while they were eating. Brensin knew right away they were eagles! :)
Just got home, have to take a shower and gather up my stuff, probably won't be at the nest til 11 or so.
Gianni was a doll, slept all night. Only took her about 10 seconds to realize there was milk in that bottle...only the second one she's had.
Good morning everyone have a good time today:)
Good morning! I like the name given to this thread. Thanks Steve!
I am ready to hear some serious laughter on the cam this morning. Think I will move to the computer for better sound. ☺
Happy to see Palmer still in the nest.
Great report on Hope.
Oh, my this blog is really going to be quiet this morning!

Hope people got to see that!
Good morning everyone! I am here at the lake wishing I was there with ya'll!! Hope ya'll get to see our big girl fledge today! Wouldn't that just be awesome!!
Breakfast, again, but I can't tell what it is! Palmer is fussin!!
I am taking my computer down to the boat today, but I don't know what kind of signal I will have. Will check back in a little while!!
Heading to the nest, see you good people later!
Parent in nest, food delivery.
Paula says that is Lib, okay. Lib is still in the nest and chowing down on very old nestovers while Palmer get the fresh delivery. It is time for you all to be at the nest.
If you are at the nest....I must say the children on the playground make more noise than you!
LOL Lib has been waiting around as he wants to eat. Palmer moved away from food and Lib moved in. Now Palmer is say...no fair, I want more and putting up a real fuss while Lib chows.
Hello.
Will the nest visitors post while at the nest?
It looks like Lib just flew onto the nest discussing something with Palmer.
whole family is there I am recording at the moment hope it doesn't freeze
Whole family was in the nest. Got a picture.
Lib is digging in the nest. Belle just arrived also.
What is all the chirping I hear?
Lib just took off and Belle is feeding Palmer.
I sure would like to know what Palmer was digging at.
Lazy Palmer is being fed.
He was digging a hole to China is what it looked like!
Oh I meant to say Lib. It was Lib that was digging into the nest.
Palmer is enjoying a beak-fed brunch.
MaMa MaMa please feed me I am only on my 3rd or 4th breakfast :-)
Have no clue lets say Parent parent please feed me LOL
horn too think the EE is there :-)
hissy fit reading parents body language is my guess. Something different is up
Oh, my, Palmer is giving his observers a show! Go Palmer go!
Maybe posing pretty on edge of nest for pictures
argh computer acting up now. :-( I am trying
quiet and still
Glo, did you get video? I have saved a lot of pictures to post.
keep saving those photos lolly we need it covered both ways. Goin gto try to get the beeps I hear the folks now :-)
Thanks for the toots! Laurel and I heard it!!!!! Wahoo!
and there is the EE honk ☺
Tears that was Deb in morse code
Who is sitting on the horn?! I heard you cheering! Love you all!!!!
oh my, party it is hear those Momsters and Dadsters Squeals...
Well, Glo. guess you know morse code. I do not, but whatever, your comment made me cry! Deb, is definitely there with them. That I know for sure.
Will have you all on my mind all day today!
chirpy bird is a house finch BEagle, wracking my brain for the sincle chirp
Hello Eagle Pals near and far
Thank you Steve for the Momsters Visit Day Thread
nice thought Glo, about the Morse Code....♥
I have a pretty loud hum, anyone else ?
Thanks Mits for the Nest report too!
Palmer flipped the turtle shell over !
Nice wing waves to her visitors by Palmer
Wow, LOOK at that wingspan! Thought for sure she was taking off--caught some air there!
The live picture looks really sharp today, and can see more color than usual, too.
indigo bunting, the chirps in doublets
Boy, Palmer is right on the edge!
Bet today's the day, the way she's looking around. Deb must be VERY proud of her namesake!
Palmer is facing towards the Momsters and Dadsters now
more or less
and it's a pretty sure bet one of the parents is perched about 12 feet above the nest on a branch
or over by the perching tree "other side" of the barn
Margie unless I called the wrong number there should be a message for you on your phone. Don't call back though not the number i used unless weeekends its family plan with daughters cell phone.
i hear their voices still every now and then Party party
Closing down cam and going to spend some time trying to make a memory. I don't think she is going to fledge today, but if she does I will be missing it. Think Steve can back track and get video anyway since I htink all the other recorders are at the nest. Enjoy your day. Will post a link in several hours if I can get it up and ready for Blog.
Hi Margy.
Had to step out a moment. Did I miss some horn honking?
I thought that was Palmer doing some chortling. Happiness to be beak-fed.
Can someone update me as to the horn honking? Will I hear it on the OD cam?
It happened at 11 am there. I hopefully have it recorded. I am trying to work on that now.
ok Glo...that would be my landline which I keep silent when I am (supposed) to be sleeping so I didn't turn the volume back up yet!
I rang up Lynn and Wanda, got voice mail, then Jo, and I could hear her but she, not me...
poor signal there for cells...
sent a text message to Lynn!
Nice, so nice to hear your voice!
Thanks! xo
xo
Inidigo bunting? House finch?
You know your birds and here I thought it was Palmer!
Yes, they honked and cheered. They honked "Deb" in morse code. LOL You could hear them quiet well. Yea, Momsters.
I am on and off now. Laurel and the boys are still here.
OK great glad you sent a text. They will know we got it and I am working on it now. I hope it comes out ok. its been a while with this program and not at all with this live cam this year.
I don't think Palmer is ready to fly off yet. Maybe another week.
But it would be nice if it happened during the Momster's visit.
I suppose everyone saw the Poop Shoot.
Hum-m-m?
Thank you Lolly.
Palmer did a beautimus wing spread just now.
Palmer doing some flapping.
Another Illinoisan here, just logged on - see there was a lovely wing display just now for the Momsters if you are still down below!
and Dana just called me and I missed that too...
her message was very "warbly" too
could only half-hear the words
did send her a txt msg also
so I think the message has been delivered
I don't have good sound features on my computer. :(
But I am happy to know the Momsters are actually seeing what I am seeing only "up close and personal."
: )
Palmer is cleaning her room - because company is here? Let's put this fluff over here...
I need to go back for more sleep will have to "toast" Deb in my sleep dreams - I think that is up at noontime
That single chirp might have been Palmer, BEagle....but I think it was another bird and I cannot remember which one!
Hope everyone in ALL the Eagle corners are doing well...
If Palmer settles at the 5 pm spot...facing outward...get your heart medicines out!
ttfn xo
There we go. Palmer flapped to near the cam tree and picked up some nest over.
Picking around and looking for something. My she is a striking young eaglet.
BEagle - you're not missing much, because what I'm hearing is a bad feed today, lots of noise (buzz or whine) in the audio that covers up the chirps and anything else we'd want to hear
was nice to share the "time at the nest" with you all on here this morning...xo ♥
Sweet dreams Magpie.
I haven't seen Palmer at 5 yet.
Yes it did look like Palmer was straitening the nest for company!
As I am looking at the cam, I wonder where the Momsters are located.
I agree, BEagle--Palmer really is beautiful!
Nite Margy! Sorry you had to miss this morning, see you in Oct!
Hi everyone,
Well, just my luck that I can't get the live cam to open at all this morning. So disappointed but am really happy that others not at the nest have seen some Palmer action and heard the party.
I'll check back later for updates.
I was wondering about the buzz on the cam. I thought it was just me.
I can hear the wind.
I just saw a shadow passing over.
Was it Belle or Lib?
Yah, see you in October Lolly.
BEagle
As you look at the nest, all the nest watchers on the NCTC street would be over to the left more or less, about 200 feet, or so...
so when Palmer is perched at 11 am, she is pretty much looking out their way
Perent perch tree is up and above to the right as you are looking at it....
hope that helps
ok, Toast to Deb....maybe just about now Nest time ♥
Thanks! Magpie.
Now I know where they are and it looks like Palmer is looking out at them at the moment because she is at about 11. That is, if the momsters are still there.
How long were the M's going to be there?
Palmer just did a hop, skip and a jump over to about half past 12.
Here's a picture for Margy--a magpie I managed to get on film while we were in Carson Valley, NV a couple of weeks ago.
Palmer back to the left of view and looking down.
I hope Palmer didn't hit any Momsters!
Palmer seems to be pacing. Anxious to get off the nest I suppose.
Maybe she will float off and land on a Momsters shoulder!
lol
: )
Little poop shoot
I bet she's curious about all her visitors
I am sure the Moms are too far away.
But you never know when a perfect wind gust will come along. lol
I wonder if the pacing might have anything to do with getting a better view of the visitors or because of their movements down below
I think I might hear some voices above the whiny buzz of the live feed...
If they were able to park by the tree with the road leading to Day Care which I bet and hope they were then they aren't that far away at all. They can see the action and hear the calls. Not good with distances but from that spot they would have very enjoyable view. Still working on making video. It takes some time but I am getting there :-)
BEagle, I get a bit of a buzz on the sound too, but can hear birds chirping, and the wind, too, if I turn the sound WAY up.
I was thinking the same thing KBird.
That wind is fluffing the feathers and probably some Momster hairdos too.
Went to turn the sound up further. It was already almost completely there anyway.
That whiny buzz is a nuisance.
But you have to hear that whiny buzz if you turn it up, and that is really a pain in the ear
Even if the hairdos get mussed, I'm so glad it's not a rainy day for the Momsters who were able to be there today!
I can hear someone talking loudly.
Right. It's a perfect day to be there.
I hear what sounds like a dog barking. Do you?
BBL :o]
I didn't hear a dog, but I had to turn it down a bit because it getting too annoying
Enjoy your day Glo
Yes, that whine is almost as bad as fingernails on a chalkboard.
I turned it down to relieve the sinuses.
Going to do some errands and etc.
BBL.
I've got to get going - hope all the Momsters and Dadsters everywhere have a great day
:)
I have not heard anymore voices. I did hear the cheering right after the honking!
The hum is very annoying!
Laurel and the boys are gone now.
Thought to check on Phoenix before taking off. Phoe's favorite place lately is looking right into the cam.
Glad there is sunshine at the nest and no storms.
I was thinking....when the Mom leave the nest area they may give a whoop and holler.
However, gotsta go.
Well when you do get to see/hear the video I did have it turned up of course to get the horn and the voices as they sent their message to the nest and all of us wherever we are :-). Can't help the buzz. It is what it is.
I just added a few snapshots of the nest taken this morning to the "visit" album that Jo had ready.
Glo, where can we find the video?
Go Palmer go!!!!
LollyI am still uploading it. It will be on Glo's Glimpses when I get it done.
Thanks, Glo.
I think I am going outside for a while. Have been at this computer all morning.
I am so happy that I still see sunshine at the nest.
See and hear video of Momsters at the nest here.
Sissy look back a post or 2 you can follow link to hear it now. Yes it made me cry as I heard it and heard the Momsters following it. Her presence is felt at the visit today for sure.
Wow Glo! Thanks so much for that!! Wonderful! It is raining here at the camper and I think it is nap time!! Will catch ya'll later!!!
Belle, is sitting just below the nest.
Well, it's pouring in Chas.
It's sunshine at the nest. Can't mow the lawn (my grass keeps getting bigger) BUT I can watch Palmer for a little.
Now to check out the video.
Great video, Glo. You did good!!!
It is a great tribute to Deb.
Hi, Gang,
Back home from shopping. Glo, you did a GREAT job on the video! Thank you SO MUCH! I'm sure Deb is watching over the nest, and Palmer, and us! Can't get over how much I still miss her!
Have fun, everyone! Will check back later. :o]
Very nice video. Brought tears with the thoughtfulness behind the Morse code and the wave by Palmer.
Very touching and thank you.
Glad folks are stopping by to see and hear the video. It felt so right as it was happening even if it did bring those tears back. They were loving remembering gratitude for having enjoyed something in common with such a special lady. I am glad I could be here to do it and that both the cam and computer co-operated. Ya just never know :-)
Thanks again Glo. It takes work to put "heart" into such an event.
Here's a pat for your shoulder...
Do you recall Deb (Palmer) requesting prayers for a lady from her church in Sioux Falls?? Her name is Doreen Pospisil, a great lady, and I've been reading her CaringBridge blog and praying for her.

Think I heard some voices again at the nest...right after those air lifts Palmer just did.
Oh dear.
Palmer is flapping away.
Then I saw the post about Doreen.
Prayers going up for her. Hope for miracles.
For some reason I thought the Moms would be gone by now. Maybe because it's raining here.
I turned the sound up.
Don't know what time they are leaving the nest, but I know they stay a long time. The EE offers a rest from the heat and has refreshments.
Prayers for Doreen Jim. Thanks for posting.
Posted this morning................................Lily the Black Bear June 12, 2010 (9:10 AM CDT) Hope met me at the feeding station again this morning. She's spoiling me! Progress toward the eventual collaring is being made. -- SM
It sounded like mom's were possibly packing food to picnic while at the nest. Not sure what the EE is.
Did I just hear another honk? Maybe they are leaving now.
Yes they were having lunch at the EE Eagle Express.
EE is the Eagle Express, Wanda and Capt Gene's RV. They have it parked right on the road beside the nest. Wanda was preparing the lunch with help from others. If anyone needs to cool off they can go into the EE. Also, the restroom is there as well in the EE.
LOL They pretty much have it made in the shade don't they :-)
Oh, wow, the wind is picking up. Maybe the storms have started there. Hand on Palmer!
Naptime for me I think. Rainy here and occasionally thunder but no major storms at least not right now. Have a nice afternoon

Nope, still see the sun! But, boy is it windy!
The sun is hiding more and more.
Thanks for the news and explanations about what is actually happening and the EE.
Back from grocery shopping.
Still cannot get the live cam nor can I get Glo's video of the nest visit. Guess I'm just out-of-luck today. Anyway, it sounds as if everyone had a good time, Palmer included.
I'll be back later tonight.
Yes. It sounds like they are having a BEB.
We're getting t-storms and heavy rain in Martinsburg...and it is moving towards Shepherdstown....
Palmer lying flat and hunkered down for now
need to read backwards...
hello again Eagle Pals
Judie
am so sorry to read when you cannot get the live feed....I have had lots of problems throughout and only recently can get it pretty consistently
Jim
thanks for the link and info about Doreen, sad news but good that you share this with us
prayers....for comfort and strength
There are 27 present at the nest today. Do not think the can all get into the EE. ☺
Hello everybody,
Have been lurking off and on since I got home around noon. I was very sleepy after not having slept much and then sitting in the sun.
Nice video, Glo.
Judie, I am so sorry you cannot get the feed from the live cam. I really have some problems, too, and keep wondering if I am not going to be able to see anything.
A typo in every comment of mine. Sigh....
neat that you got some pics for the album, Lolly, will check that, got a few myself I might add
also will go check out Glo's video here real soon
tough tough flooding tragedy in Arkansas....and dangerous weather brewing in other parts of the country....prayers for all those affected
Sometimes I click on "refresh" a dozen times.
I just wonder what the problem is for those who can not get it. I have no problem at all. I use Internet Explorer.
Rain at the nest.
Uh, Oh, the rain has started at the nest. Nice that it held off this long. Okay, now we wait for the Momsters to get safely home and get back on the blog.
looks like Illinois is getting some tough weather....
hang on Glo, Kickngbird...others out there
sun here again in Martinsburg now and here comes the rain at NCTC
I am using Firefox right now, Lolly. I switched from IE when I was having trouble with it some time ago.
welcome home and back, Shirley,
bless your time with your graduating seniors ♥
takes me a few minutes to get a post up, live feed does that to me
there is the thunder :(
and lots of rather nervous wing-flapping
Back again.
Okay, back tonight before bedtime.
Raindrops. Yawnnnnn.
Making me want a nap.
Judie. Without knowing your computer and specifically what's in it, I think you need an upgrade.
I used an old computer the other day and when I pulled up the OD cam it ran fine, but I got a message that I needed to upgrade to Firefox 3 or IE 7.
The OD cam has been upgraded and I cannot even pull it up on the old computer now.
I am no computer technician but this may be why you are not able to view the cam.
Just a hunch.
Graduation was very nice, and very hot and sunny. They changed the set-up, though, and had us looking into the sun. I had a straw hat to wear and put it on so that I could see.
One of my current seniors made a speech. A student I taught when he was a freshman was another speaker. I am proud of both of them.
I am remembering when Palmer was a little fluff and Belle spread her wings over her to keep her dry.
Shirley, did you enjoy the graduation? I did not go to ours this year, though I do still have former students graduating. It is always interesting to read the class history. They start with Kindergarten and mention memories from each year. My class has been mentioned many times. It is a good feeling when they have memories of kindergarten.
I go back to work at 6 pm for 12 hrs Judie....
it's like a sauna outside here, extremely hot and humid
that persistent whine totally disappeared while I was sleeping
hope kickngbird comes back on soon....
Yes Palmer needs to go a little to her right a little to get to her launch pad.
Shirley, good idea taking a straw hat. Aren't you glad you went? I bet you were proud as punch with some of your students.
Whoops, just saw your post, Shirley. We used to have ours in the stadium but some years back they changed over to the coliseum at TCU. Very nice!
Margy. You're right. That whiny buzz humming sound is gone!
I am glad I went, BEagle. I have not missed one since I started teaching there.
Maybe you are breaking a graduation attendance record Shirley!
Your paper grading may go smoothly in response to going. I hope so.
Did you see Palmer flap to help her jump up to the cam tree?
Now she is close to the launch pad...ah, no she went back to her 1 o'clock perch.
She is hopping all around. I think she was just looking down and wondering where her adoring audience has gone.
Yes, she looks like she is searching for her company of fans.
If the EE is still there, she may just fly over and check it out. : )
Lots and lots of
pictures should be soon forth coming.
Palmer most of the time was just looking down on us. Adult had flow into the tree and was just under the nest to the right. We told her it was alright to take off but really did appreciate her sticking around
She is a very very beautiful eaglet.
Fantastic Video and narrative, Glo...thank you !
nice graduation report, Shirley...
glad for you AND your students that you could be there....
You're back Jo!
Thank you for the report!
Yay Jo ! thanks!
So the adult had a different perch today...
last Sunday she was above the nest
can't wait to hear more, but it will be mostly in the am that I get to read all about it!
Glad you are home, Jo, safe and sound and did not get wet. Have posted a few pictures from this morning in the album . So glad the weather held off for you.
checked out your Album pics, cool, Lolly ☺
and added three to it...
glad you were able to spend time with both your Laurel and the boys family, AND your "other family" ☺
getting close to the split...
Hi, Shirley,
I'm glad you enjoyed the graduation, and that you didn't spoil your attendance record.
I actually thought sound on my laptop had been turned down. lol
Bravo and Well done, to all the Nest Visit Organizers.....
Lynn, Wanda & Gene, Jo...Steve...
and all others involved in this great adventure !
...AND, now the Split !
