Speaking of manners, I don't think Palmer is serenading Dad with a lovely "Happy Father's Day" tune - that is more like a "where is my turtle?" screech?
But we remember when she was cute and cuddly and happy to be underneath you in the bad weather Lib, and here you are when she's crabby and grabby, still providing and teaching and guiding. A GREAT Dad!
Good morning, everyone! Not really trying to invent a new language. I had my fingers on the wrong keys.
BEagle, you are funny!
I slept in this morning. We had a nice family visit yesterday . . . all of my children and Rebecca. Rebecca brought pictures of the wedding dresses and other things she likes that she had cut from magazines and the female members of the group got together and looked at everything and talked and admired the pictures. We pulled out Kathryn's wedding dress and Susan's bridesmaid's dress and admired them.
The wedding will be on the East Coast. They are looking at places to have it.
Her ring has a garnet setting. It is very pretty.
They want to find a house and take care of the finances involved in buying a home before they invest in a wedding. Very practical.
It was after midnight before everyone left. I have a houseful of food. More than we can eat. I need to have another get-together to finish off the extra food.
I need to get Kathryn, Tom and Hunter to have supper with me before the leftovers to to waste. Tom and Hunter will be going to Cub Scout day camp this week, so they might enjoy an evening visit to munch on leftover food.
(Tom is participating in the day camp. He will be teaching fishing lessons.)
Do you all have so much food for a get-together that you can have two get-togethers?
I think I saw someone else suggest CCleaner once before too - if you watch live stream or video or search the web a lot, you get a lot of temporary internet files stored up that can interfere with watching a cam. CCleaner cleans those out.
I need to learn more about Ccleaner. I used it once and it wiped out some things I use. I like the "Most Visited" feature of Firefox, and, as I recall, it went away. I need to learn more.
Gee, Palmer is having fits. Parent must be nearby, probably with food.
Good morning! I see that Shirley is inventing a new language. LOL I really think one day we should all leave posts the way we originally type them with no corrections. I think we could have some great laughs. I know my post would be something else!
Palmer has been throwing tantrums this morning. What a spoiled brat!
Happy Father's Day to Steve and all Dadsters.
Wow, I just saw Palmer take off. My first time to see it. Yea!
Judie, looks like Laurel will remain at her present school. Likes the school, likes her team, does not like the principal. Also, it is a drive across town and she takes the boys to the school next door. She would like them to go to their neighborhood school. However, it is a great school that they go to.
The roses from Jack were for 45 years of marriage today. We were married on a Sunday, a Father's Day, 45 years ago. It was a Sunday afternoon. I need to scan a picture and show you. ☺
PAULAOn Windows 7 where do you go to clean out temporary files? Is it the same place "tools then Internet Options"? One thing I have been doing is tool "delete browsing history".
Good Sunny Sunday morning Happy Father's Day to all those men who have had the joy of sons and/or daughters in their lives. One of hubby's cards from one of our five children said that he had what it takes to head this family -- Courage! And to Liberty - the good provider - Love that Eagle! Today Lolly and Jack celebrate 45 years of wedded bliss! Congratulations! Going for the 50+
Right, BEagle, I was just going to say that Lady and Laird seem to be the names they use officially. Wonder if they called Angus Laird, too! Dana, the snipping tool is a Windows 7 tool, not Explorer.
Every evening when I have closed all my programs I run C.Cleaner I have all the blocks checked to clean except the Wipe Free Space block. I downloaded the free version and I have not taken them up on paying for a newer version because this one is good.
stronghunter - There is a settings place in CCleaner where you can put check marks to tell CCleaner the things you want it to get rid of (there are 4 icons that go down the lefthand side, click on the top one, the sweeping brush icon).
There are a bunch of things checked by default - that's probablywhat happened. I think things like cookies or history may be checked so UNCHECK those. I unchecked most everything because I consider myself a real beginner and I don't understand most of those terms. I didn't even want it emptying my recycle bin for me! I want to look in my recycle bin myself before I empty to that, to make sure I didn't accidentally delete something.
So I basically only use it for temp files, cache, something called "file fragments" in Windows ... then on the Applications tab (there's "Windows" tab then there's "Applications"), cache. My guess is if you leave "history" checked it will erase things like "most visited" so do uncheck that.
Sounds like a very nice card that daugher gave to her father.
My Daugther is doing something different this year. She ask if I could find something. It is a hat that Daddy wore all the time when she was just a little girl. Old enough to be in Brownies. TH eaglets have been down on the patio a lot this morning...04 was in the nest a little while ago, then went down there. Now 06 is back up on the nest.
dana - was it a fedora? My Dad was of that era. And I have his. It's in my front hall closet. And my eyes are welling up as I type this. I miss my Daddy.
Isla raises her head and keeps it up at the sound of a plane. I am begining to think like some she just needs fluids. Just put head back down up about 3 to 4 minutes up and looking around.
Good article about the bears in TX. Just read in our local paper today that the Conservation Officer says that there is no trap/release program here for aggressive bears---they will be euthanized. The majority of the bear sightings are just young roamers trying to find their own territory. Lily site update is of interest, if you haven't read it yet.
Lolly and Jack -- congratulations on your 45 years.
Shirley, so happy the son and dil to be shared their plans. I think it is really terrific they are considering finances and how to pay for a place to live before focusing on the extras.
It was Jo who mentioned CCleaner about a week ago. I checked it out, it is still a free download, but once installed, where does it go -- I mean where would I go to find it to clean out files at night? Does it go automatically to bookmarks, control panel, tools? Remember, I'm challenged.
Still can't get the live cam. Grrrrr!
Have composed my email for Bossy (as Paula called him) and will send tomorrow morning. Then I wait --- as the school turns!
Dana, what a lovely special reminder for your daughter. I know she will appreciate the memories today.
After seeing the hummer pictures yesterday, Lynn, and now you tell us babies hatch mid-July, I will know when to put sugar water out. Maybe a container on the table?
A great Dadster amongst us, Jo's hubby, walked me through installing CCleaner, told me which boxes to check, what to watch for, and how to navigate through it...
I use it often! Thanks, Mr. Ed ☺
I also use the internet tools thing a lot during the day
I hope that email gets you wha you want, Judie! Hubby put my ccleaner as a desk top so that all I do is open it from there. I will ask him how he did that! I am also challenged! I'll get back to you unless someone on our blog gives you the info.
have enjoyed reading about everyone's activities...and the special memories included
I think that is so neat about Tom and Hunter's scout camp this week, Shirley... wow, Tom is going to be the fishing instructor! I should go, all I can ever catch is sticks and leaves
Isla is up and looking around strongest I've seen her look in over a day..chicks are peeping
Happy Father's Day to all Dadsters and to Liberty!! Happy Anniversary to Lolly & Jack!!
I see Palmer has flown the coup. Maybe fishing lessons are on the schedule.I have to go back & look at older pics, but I think she is one of the prettiest juvies I've seen!
Fubby went to car show in early AM, so have to get presents ready.
It is amazing how many dirty dishes we produced last night. We did not even think about them last night, which is fine. It was wonderful to sit and talk girl talk.
I have load #1 washing now, but there is no rush. I can do load #2 at my leisure. We can now get to the sink, which is important. So far, only one casualty. I destroyed one corn holder thingy in the disposal. The disposal is okay, which is all that matters. The corn holder thingy is trashed.
Rus and Rebecca were going to look at a townhouse today. Housing is so expensive in the DC area, but they are thinking that prices are good now, and they need to capitalize on it. Makes sense to me. They are also considering the taxes in the various areas. (At least Rebecca is. She is a smart woman.)
My children have been giving me eagle related gifts. Yesterday, Susan found a Native American who was creating pretty pictures on gourds. I will have to take a picture and share it. It is really nice. A Christmas ornament.
I was touched by the fact that your daughter asked for a hat of her father's, but you didn't mention what kind - I just wondered if it could by chance be a fedora but you're certainly not old enough for that era! Though they're coming back in style now - everything old is new again.
Judie, adults are feeding, so go ahead and put your feeder out!! Article says that you will often see more hummers at feeders aftera rain because excess water is held in petal-type feeding units.
Shirley, I think your son and DIL-to-be have good heads on their shoulders. A big, expensive wedding is senseless in this day and age. Hear about people spending on a wedding what would make a good downpayment on a house. Crazy! CHristie's wedding was in '98-----we spent $4000 and it was absolutely beautiful. Unless people are independently wealthy, they don't need "designer" weddings! JMHO.
I did check LOL and one adult is there with the chicks. Looks too alert to be Isla and in a different area of the nest. Sadly, I suspect she has been taken away.
Well, what to do on father's day as Darth is not a father and it's too hot to go outside? Well, how about reading some more about serial killers? Ah, now there's a good idea. BBL
When Kathryn got married, we were on a very tight budget, and it cost about $3,000. It was a very nice wedding. No, we did not have a big sit-down dinner at the reception, but it was very nice. We provided the food ourselves. Both sides of the family co-operated on that.
As I said, Tom's mother made the dress. At almost the last minute, Kathryn decided she wanted beaded lace along the hem. We priced it, and it was horribly expensive, so we bought plain lace and sewed sequins and beads on it ourselves.
It was at the same time that I went into the hospital for my mastectomy. Kathryn, Susan, and I spent the night before the surgery sewing, with each of us working on a separate section. While they were in the waiting room when I was in surgery, Kathryn, Susan, and a good friend continued the sewing.
Looking over that pretty lace brought about fond memories, even though it was a hard time. It was true teamwork.
I had the surgery right before the wedding. I was wearing tubes, etc., under my dress, but we made it, and it was a good time. Looking at the lace last night brought back nothing but warm memories.
Funny wedding story: We had the reception in the church activity room. We'd decided that was a good plan for many reasons, one being that Tom said some of his family members had a tendency to get drunk at weddings. No alcohol allowed at the church. We eliminated the expense of booze and the risk of drunken guests and blamed it on the church rule.
At the event, my aunt, a very dear lady who had a problem with booze, commented to me that she had noticed that the Episcopalians across the street were having a wedding reception, too, and Episcopalians have no problem with alcohol. She thought we should ditch our reception and crash theirs.
I was not sure she was kidding--in fact she was probably dead serious--and reminded her that we'd better stay at the Presbyterian party since we were the hosts. I managed to keep Auntie under control, thank goodness.
Whoops! In correcting Ceil I also have a type AKS is AKA... Serves me right - shouldn't critize unless I can take the criticism right back! ((hugs to Ceil))
Thanks, Jo. I enjoyed writing about Kathryn's wedding dress. I had not looked at it for a long time. I hope Rebecca enjoyed the evening as much as I did.
Oh, I found out last night that Rus had placed the engagement ring inside the little lighthouse model that is in the picture of Rebecca's ring. It opens up. Cape Hatteras holds special memories for them. Of course, the picture in my avatar shows them in front of the Ocracoke Lighthouse.
Shirley, sweet story about Kathryn's wedding gown but also liked the story about the aunt -- was a good laugh.
Off to try a new salad dressing. Fellow gardener gave Frank some lemon balm. Never used it so looked up recipes. Found one for vinaigrette. Good idea because I can taste before ruining an entire dish. Also used for tea, I guess.
Shirley, Carolyn's reception was in the church fellowship hall, too. Hers was in '92 and that one only cost us about $1500. Catered by a friend at work, but not a meal. With Christie's, it was a sit-down dinner at the Moose---SIL is a member. But did NOT have an open bar. Provided 1 bottle of Champagne on each table for toast, but except for wedding party and immediate family, drinks were buy-your-own. Cake was made by one of her professors at Shepherd---Amaretto---it was delicious, and he didin't charge very much at all!!!
Love Hatteras and Ocracoke----my two very most favorite places!! Remember when they moved the Hatteras light?? Watched it on the net!!! Saved many pics!
Didn't see any new updates at LOL, so got real brave and turned on cam. 2 chicks were chirping & was surprising that Isla actually sat up partially. Her eyes won't open all the way~~someone said she may have had a stroke. So sad, but she's still there.
Back from church! And have done a little quick house cleaning. Laurel and family, without Joseph, will be here in a couple of hours. Jack is grilling steaks.
Joseph left for church camp at 8:30 this morning. He was ready at 7. LOL Laurel said she cried only a little. Laurel has baked a lemon cake for her daddy. Jacob helped. ☺
Thanks for the anniversary wishes! Flowers in church today were in our honor. So, now I have two beautiful flower arrangements. Wow!
Just mixed up homemade ice cream and Jack is getting the electric ice cream maker going. First for the summer. Like plain vanilla, but use Mexico vanilla that is so good! Lemon cake with lemon icing with homemade ice cream after steaks. Sounds like a good father's day meal.
Okay! I have loaded two wedding pictures. One I am entering the sanctuary on the arm of my Daddy. Lisa, Jack's niece was our flower girl. Family Pics blog.
Lolly, glad you are having a fun day! Did I understand correctly that little Joseph is going to camp in Missouri????? Long way off----no homesick pick-ups for sure! Have you ever heard of grape-nut ice cream? It's a biggie around these parts. It's okay....but I'm not much on homemade ice cream.
Dad feeding chicks at LOL...actually saw Mum stand up and flap her wings before he came back..she has been looking around more since Dad arrived, but now it looks like she has used up all her energy...back to face down position.
KB about the hat: KB Ed and I got together when my daughter was 6 to 6 1/2. They were inseparable, they had a terrific bond as daughter and Dad. Since his death she has talked about his Mack Truck hat he always wore (he had a lot of hats). This one was special to her. It was a Mack Truck hat blue, white with red on it. Ed worked at Mack Trucks and retired from there. She said Mom if you find it please send it to me so I can open the box on Fathers Day PLEASE! Her idea was very neat I thought.
When I email a picture of the hat. I had email two different hat pictures. I think she only got the one. She said no Mom that isn't it. Oh well she said maybe he threw it away. I told her no way would he had thrown it away.
Then I was looking through the picture album. Here I come across a picture of him wearing the Mack Truck hat she was talking about with her in the picture too. When we went to pick her up from coming back from a week long outing with the Brownies I had taken the picture.
So I sent the picture of her and him of course with the Mack Truck hat on his head. Plus I sent along that special Mack Truck Hat he wore that she always remembered from a child up (she turned 28 Oct 2009). Ed passed November 25, 2009.
Thanks Judie reading back on comments yours mentioned clothes and dry. That helped me remember when I left here I had turned off the dryer and clothes was not dry yet. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH (:
Dana, I remember you commented & had a question about pic I put on with the single osprey on cam. The original nest had 2 eggs that hatched around May 19 & 20. This one is a little smaller, so guess it's not quite a month old. What's amazing is that I took pics of it TU when it was so hungry it went after that fish!I worked Sat. & it was lots bigger!!They said the chicks grow some every day!I'll have to see if I got a new pic.
Went out to fill birdbath & it is an oven out there! Also, yesterday the baby wrens were poking out of the house. Today there is squawky chirping from shrubs in neighbor's backyard! I think they all fledged. Have to put up the "For Rent" sign. Hope somebody uses other house in magnolia tree.
Dana, LOL, when you talked about daddy's hat, I thought you meant YOUR daddy!!!
Lolly, MO Ranch---I thought it meant Missouri Ranch! Duh! I'm too used to addressing things to MO!! I have lost the cam at the Loch. Can't get it back on............grrrr. Rebooted, too.
Good afternoon/evening everyone. Happy Father's Day to all dadsters and dads.
I see Palmer has taken Lib out for dinner. I hear her sqawking again.
Well, Max and Mommy are here. Yippee! Sent them and Jim out to the store for some things I need, so I'm posting since I have a chance.
Probably won't be back later so everyone have a good evening.
BTW, Lynn, made the egg salad it was sooo good!!! Even bought some mayo to make it. We're Miracle Whip afficionados(sp). But Mike, Jim, youngest and I loved it!! Thanks again
Paula or someone with Windows 7 When I went to tools and internet options then settings, then view files. It sure comes up looking different???? How do I know what I can delete????
Digging in now!! Dana, just click on Tools (upper right on menu bar) and then Internet Options and then click delete under Browsing History on the General screen. On next screen make sure that only Cookies, Temp files and History are checked AND the one at top that says Preserve favorites. Then click Delete.

Sorry, That's "thanks."
Have a good day, Steve.
Good Sunday Morning, everyone, have a blessed one...
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.
It was difficult to pronounce
yhsnks.
Just can't roll the tongue right.
Thank you for the new thread Steve.
And Happy Father's Day to you.
Thanks for the call over, Shirley.
Thanks Steve for the new thread. Hope you are having a great time!
My manners need improvement.
Thank you for the call over Shirley.
: )
Palmer is quite loud this morning!!
Happy Father's Day to all out Dadster, hubbies, sons and brothers....
and to our Eagle Dad, Liberty
Speaking of manners, I don't think Palmer is serenading Dad with a lovely "Happy Father's Day" tune - that is more like a "where is my turtle?" screech?
Thank you Dadster Steve for the new thread. Happy Father's Day.
Shirley, thank you for the call over. How was the family last night? Any wedding updates?
Hi Mits.
Yep, BEagle, just thought saying Yhsnks was my problem.
Off to try to get the live cam AGAIN! This is getting to be a rel pitb.
BBL
But we remember when she was cute and cuddly and happy to be underneath you in the bad weather Lib, and here you are when she's crabby and grabby, still providing and teaching and guiding. A GREAT Dad!
Wow, you can really see Palmer's white feathers from this view. She's such got such a pretty pattern.
That's a tongue twister for sure Judie.
I see I got some more mail. I will have to work on the invitation.
But later. Got to get moving.
TCB. BBL. LOL (referring to :D)
(But M's definition by her bro is definitely how I feel this morning)
Judie, Do you have CCleaner on your machine?
Thanks Steve for the new thread. Happy Fathers Day to you.
Good Morning Judie (I don't remember is I said that on older thread), and Mits and KB.
I just had to bring this over from the older thread:paula eagleholic said...
Chrissy just posted on their blog.

Due to on the Loch of Lowes blog our Chrissy's post was so deep from within her heart.
(Only not so little.)
My manners thank you Shirley for the call over.
Palmer just got up looking all around and now screaming.
By machine, I mean computer. I hear computer geeks calling them "machines."
Bless you, Palmer.

That was a tantrum!
I can see it will difficult pulling myself away from the "machine."
My computer geeks, who are building their own computers, called the mother board the "mo bo."
Now checking out the turtle shells, but they are MT
LOL - "mo bo"
I need to learn more about Ccleaner. I used it once and it wiped out some things I use. I like the "Most Visited" feature of Firefox, and, as I recall, it went away. I need to learn more.
Gee, Palmer is having fits. Parent must be nearby, probably with food.
I wonder if some Tough Love is happening here - let's go to the river and have fishing or turtle hunting lessons THEN you can eat?
Palmer just took off.
And off she went! Just like that!
Shirley. Glad to hear you catching up on rest.
I have GOT to go so I can make bacon pasta and coleslaw for hot dogs.

Wow, I just saw Palmer take off. My first time to see it. Yea!
Palmer just flew out from launch
Just clean out the temporary internet files, IE and Firefox both have that...
Yea..for Bacon Pasta!
The CClean will take care of danglers. It's amazing what gets on your computer after a few days.
I haven't used it..I let my machine geek do that.
But don't you have to know what files to clean out?
Good Father's Day Morning in Eagle Land Lolly.
Shirley had to go back to read the interesting infomation about wedding dress and bridemaids dress's. I like the house idea---GREAT!!!
Shirley, sounds like the kids have a great plan.
Glad you got to see Palmer fly off Lolly.
She may go track down an adult to make sure they heard her squealing.
Somehow, I think they heard her squeals. I expect most of NCTC heard those squeals.
I haven't heard yet what the guys call the video cards or anything else that goes in the machine.
It would be interesting to see what comes about without correcting typos. : D
Kids today keyboard at great speeds but with a lot of typos. It boggles the mind how they can tell what the other is saying.
It just seems as though Palmer may want to enforce the cries of hunger pangs.

Dana, it is either on your toolbar when you are online, or you can go in and do it through Control Panel.
I will have to take some time to understand all of that, KB. I do have some problems with the cam on Firefox, and it would be nice to fix that.
More Did You Know.....that male seahorses give birth to 1200 babies at one time? What a guy!!
Repeating myself from old thread; Happy Father's Day to ALL Dad's.
Susan has left me her old Blackberry. I need to figure that thing out as well. Her boyfriend gives her his old phones, so now she is passing on her old one to me. I do not use a cell phone much, but I do like the idea of being able to text when I want to.

MANY MANY HAPPY WISHES TO LOLLY AND JACKS 45th ANNIVERSARY
Now Lolly you got the roses so leave that younger guy alone. (just kidding about your grandson)
I know the blog calls her Lady...there was one mtre name mentioned amongst all those posts...
Food drop at PH, lots of squealing goin on
and mantling, lol
Hope Megan and family had a good time at the wedding
feeding at WE too
Whoa! I think if you're watch LOL cam that they are now going to take her out of the nest....
KB I can't find a post where I wrote "fedora".
Although I can understand the missing your father. I so much miss mine too.
They aren't removing the Lady now
Would someone who is watching LOL confirm that is the Lady standing in the nest and not her mate....
Happy Father's Day Wishes to all the many Dads out there...
here...and gone before us....
when you start counting, Dads, brothers, nephews, Liberty, FRIENDS
whoo, it really adds up!
Hope it is a great day and that all the Dads get the Royal Treatment today ( and everyday for that matter )
xoxox ♥
I believe it is Isla, Jo...
Isla raises her head and keeps it up at the sound of a plane. I am begining to think like some she just needs fluids. Just put head back down up about 3 to 4 minutes up and looking around.
Happy 45th Wedding Anniversary Jack and Lolly...awesome ! ♥ ♥
had the live feed up...during the squealing fest..totally locked up my computer!
Thank you Dana.....
Hello Margy
Oh by the way,
today is also
West Virginia Day
West Virginia became a state on June 20, 1863 -
we are 147 years old !
Off to take care of a chore or two. BBL
Hubby put my ccleaner as a desk top
so that all I do is open it from there.
Isla is up and looking around
strongest I've seen her look in over a day..chicks are peeping
If Norma was still able to blog, she would have been shouting about WV Day!!!
gotta shake a couple of legs here
and take care of some things
Best wishes for a Wonderful day but especially to all the Fathers today
and...our Father in Heaven, who is with us, always
ttfn xo
Happy Father's Day to all Dadsters and to Liberty!!
Happy Anniversary to Lolly & Jack!!
I see Palmer has flown the coup. Maybe fishing lessons are on the schedule.I have to go back & look at older pics, but I think she is one of the prettiest juvies I've seen!
Fubby went to car show in early AM, so have to get presents ready.
Loretta Did fubby take one of his cars to the show or is he looking for another one?
Judie, it is probably under your programs folder
I think Palmer is at fishing lessons since she has been playing hookey most of the week :)
TH chicks are flying back and forth between the nest and the patio
Time to grab a shower and get something done....
A Christmas ornament.
dana - I went away for awhile; back now...
I was touched by the fact that your daughter asked for a hat of her father's, but you didn't mention what kind - I just wondered if it could by chance be a fedora but you're certainly not old enough for that era! Though they're coming back in style now - everything old is new again.
Great up close of one of the eaglets at NBG
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO LOLLY AND JAC.
JMHO.
thanks ceil - that is a great closeup!
Paula, your dad's photo and the tribute you gave on FB is so very touching. ((hugs))
Shirley, I'll be over for some leftovers, lol.
Thank you, Paula.
Thank you, Jo.
Happy 147th birthday, West Virginia!
BBL
BBILW
Kickngbird, I think Dana was talking about a hat of HER dad's that her daughter wanted a pic of.
Shirley, glad you have leftovers! You won't have to cook today!
Isla is still there in the nest,Judie. Her head has been up most of the times I've checked.
Chrissy just sent email with blog update..
Thanks, Jo. Earlier, Esla could hardly hold her head up so I was fooled. Sorry for misinformation. Will check email.
Keep hearing what sounds like something hitting microphone at our nest.......anyone else?
Yes, Hedgie I also keep hearing a 'tap'
I have my volume on the live feed off but the LOL nest on... Do you have LOL volumn on?
Oops forgot the k in Jack's name. Sorry.
Shirley the story about Kathryn's lace is very very heartwarming!
Ceil You are in big trouble with Jac aks Jack but pronounced the same. lol
Whoops! In correcting Ceil I also have a type AKS is AKA... Serves me right - shouldn't critize unless I can take the criticism right back! ((hugs to Ceil))
On Firefox I have spell check but on IE I don't have it... Looking for in in tools but cannot find it there...... Guess I'll holler for hubby!
Spell check is one of the reasons I like Firefox for the blog. Didn't figure out that I could get spell check with Firefox for awhile.
Just checking.
Our nest is empty. Well, except for turtle shells. I will keep my volume up to hear the screaming return.
Neither TH twin is showing. No one seems to be talking of fledge there.
There seems to be a chick missing on the PH nest! Anybody heard?
May be we will get a informative CA post.
Of course, it is possible that the chick is far enough to the right to be out of site.
If that PH chick fledged then that is definitely an "early bird." They aren't supposed to go till the 27th.
Here come the mom loon and chick back to the nest.
Usually mom gets back on first. This time chick does and patiently waiting for mom to get on board.
Well, the chick just plopped right back in the water and brought mom back where she is supposed the be.
Now the chick is slow about getting back on the nest.
Too cute. Now under the feather blanket.
BBL
Ready to take a nap. Then, maybe I will tackle that other load of dishes. Being lazy today. It feels good.
After all, I have to give the first load time to get good and dry.
BBL.
Doggone it. In order to make bacon pasta, one would need the recipe, doesn't one? Got it.
Now back to it.
BBL
Shirley, sweet story about Kathryn's wedding gown but also liked the story about the aunt -- was a good laugh.
Off to try a new salad dressing. Fellow gardener gave Frank some lemon balm. Never used it so looked up recipes. Found one for vinaigrette. Good idea because I can taste before ruining an entire dish. Also used for tea, I guess.
Yep, Shirley. First load of clothes can never be too dry. Enjoy being lazy!
Um, BEagle, you do have the recipe, yes?
Judie
you can always remind Darth that he surely a Dadster...by the mere assocication with his Momster spouse ☺
Was very touched by your narratives Shirley about the wedding dress, the wedding, and
tickled about the reception stories
Thank you !
Good afternoon Eagle Pals...
xo
Jo, yes, have sound on at Loch....but have not heard any other noises there before!
sounds like you had your act together for those two weddings Lynn...lots and lots of prepartions no doubt
sure hoping there are some grateful and warm moments and memories for all on here today....
prayers for that....
ttfn xo
BEagle - PH chick was on the "patio"...they exit about 5ish on the nest to get there.
Love all the wedding reminiscing
Back from church! And have done a little quick house cleaning. Laurel and family, without Joseph, will be here in a couple of hours. Jack is grilling steaks.
Joseph left for church camp at 8:30 this morning. He was ready at 7. LOL Laurel said she cried only a little. Laurel has baked a lemon cake for her daddy. Jacob helped. ☺
Thanks for the anniversary wishes! Flowers in church today were in our honor. So, now I have two beautiful flower arrangements. Wow!
Do Hope Palmer is spending the day with Lib. Only proper!
Judie, I had to come back and print off the recipe. Got it now.
Paula, haven't seen a really good picture of the PH nest yet. Glad to know they have a patio too.
Thanks.
Just mixed up homemade ice cream and Jack is getting the electric ice cream maker going. First for the summer. Like plain vanilla, but use Mexico vanilla that is so good! Lemon cake with lemon icing with homemade ice cream after steaks. Sounds like a good father's day meal.
calling our nest
Yum, Lolly, love lemon anything
Palmer is very nearby!
Working on some pictures to show you.
Lovely wedding pics, Lolly. You were a beautiful bride and Jack a handsome groom!
Beautiful pics, Lolly.
Dad feeding chicks at LOL...actually saw Mum stand up and flap her wings before he came back..she has been looking around more since Dad arrived, but now it looks like she has used up all her energy...back to face down position.
I heard Palmer braying.
More squeals from Palmer.
Gorgeous bride and handsome groom. Thanks, Lolly.
Beautiful wedding pictures, Lolly. Thanks for sharing.
KB about the hat:
KB Ed and I got together when my daughter was 6 to 6 1/2. They were inseparable, they had a terrific bond as daughter and Dad. Since his
death she has talked about his Mack Truck hat he always wore (he had a lot of hats).
Here I come across a picture of him wearing the Mack
Truck hat she was talking about with her in the picture too. When we went to pick her up from coming
back from a week long outing with the Brownies I had taken the picture.
So I sent the picture of her and him of course with the Mack Truck hat on his head. Plus I sent along
that special Mack Truck Hat he wore that she always remembered from a child up (she turned 28 Oct 2009).
Ed passed November 25, 2009.
No, Lynn, Joseph is still in Texas but about 6 hours away. Might as well be out of state, might be closer. LOL He is at MO Ranch.
Thanks Judie reading back on comments yours mentioned clothes and dry. That helped me remember when I left here I had turned off the dryer and clothes was not dry yet. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH (:
Shirley I just put a post (my 2nd post) back at the picture on you blog of the lighthouse and Rebecca hand with the ring on.
Lazy afternoon here at the house.
Now to find a meal for hubby & me.
BBL
Lolly I comment on your pictures you posted.
You are so very welcome, Dana. Hope the clothes are now dry or drying.
Jo, how about a.m. in the p.m. That's what I'm doing. Eggs, bacon, and toast.
BBL
I was hearing our Palmer
HAS ANYONE GOT A PICTURE ON THE LOCH OF LOWES CAM? MINE WENT OUT.
Palmer is in vicinity, but not sight yet.
Hi Diann glad to see you on the blog.
Are you going to have something there or going out to dinner?
How are you feeling?
I keep hearing some body around the cam??? Wonder who????
Paula or someone with Windows 7 When I went to tools and internet options then settings, then view files. It sure comes up looking different???? How do I know what I can delete????
Use to always say cookies.
Loch of lowes cam down...they are working on it
OK screamin' kid...get off the cam housing and come get your dinner.
There is Lib with a fish and Palmer is screaming...probably can't quite figure out how to get to the nest.!!!
Paula please see my comment two above
Ungrateful brat!!!
OK, she's out of the tree, should be arriving momentarily
HAHA that was funny! In the back and about knocked Lib off the nest!
Yes Dana I saw that, need a moment or two, trying to tape this....
Kick that turtle shell out for JO!
That snipping tool is AWESOME have I told anyone that I love it!!!
Dana, don't go there, just go to delete browsing history...I have 3 things checked on mine...
Preserve favorites website data
temporary internet files
history
You can do cookies if you want, but then it will get rid of any saved login information...I don't do that one.
Digging in now!!
Dana, just click on Tools (upper right on menu bar) and then Internet Options and then click delete under Browsing History on the General screen. On next screen make sure that only Cookies, Temp files and History are checked AND the one at top that says Preserve favorites. Then click Delete.
Thanks, Paula. Glad it's not US!
Crunch, crunch, crunch!
Diann, so glad your crew liked the egg salad!!!
Oops, parent should know better than to come in while baby is eating!!!! Geeeeesh!
Lib back with a fish
mAN WHAT A HISSY FIT!!
ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK....MAD JUVIE ON PREMISES.
She snagged the second one, and when Lib went for the first one she really SCREAMED!!
Now she has both....Lib just took off!
guess he'll have to get his own!! and eat it elsewhere!
Oh that is quite a view at our nest...how nice, an evening visit...
loud as it is!
Got to to catch a few winks, working at midnight...
Everyone, enjoy the last full night of Springtime...summer officialy beings on the East Coast at 7:28 am Monday, the Summer Solstice
God Bless Us, Every One
xo ☺ ♥
HOORAY FOR SUMMERTIME! BRING IT ON!
That would have been great to see at NCTC, Palmer up in the nest screaming, then taking off and landing in the nest.
Looks like I missed an exciting moment at the nest.
Little Palmer..a sweet little piglet.
Hubby and I have returned.
And in time to see Palmer...
Oops. I have GOT to preview.
I meant eaglet!!!!
: D
You all knew what I was saying. I am sure of it.
Judie We did the Am in the Pm just the other evening. Very good!
I guess Liberty's Father Day Gift is Palmer showing him she is rough and tough enough to get 2 fish. Happy Father's Day Libety she did it!!!
BEagle -- Piglet was quite appropriate. lol
Peaglet!
Thanks Paula and Hedgie for the "tech" information. (:
Oh Mr. Bob how will I pay them.....
Is she just going to stand over the next fish?
